We absolutely loved it! Cute little neighborhood hotel. Everyone’s friendly and greeted us from the time we got out at belldesk to unload our luggage to checking in, and housekeeping. Very intimate and retro environment. Seemed more authentic in culture and Waikiki history than other hotels. We look forward to our next trip soon.

This place was welcoming from the minute you open the door. The Rooms were cleaned and they smell fresh. Pool is not deep but its great to relax and soak up some sun. Elevator is a but slow but it does the job of getting you from one floor to another. Its in walking distance of everything. I definitely recommend this place!

Busy hotel but the staff is very kind and friendly
and we even got into our room an hour in a half early. cute lobby and clean. room was nice and clean the air was just not blowing out that cold. could of been where it was placed in the room. loved the smell of their shampoo conditioner and body wash. Location is great it’s center right in the middle of everything.

The location is amazing and you’re within reach of everything you need. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Some delays with requests and we did have to repeatedly ask but they were apologetic about it. Our room also had a broken exhaust fan so the entire room was very humid and muggy but it did not ruin our trip. A very good place to stay at if you’re not super strict on accommodations.

Great place, close to the strip. Our room had a balcony with a great partial view of the strip. Definitely hope to come back to Romer in the next years. Has a restaurant in the first floor, unfortunately we didn't try it but everytime we passed by food smelled amazing. Pool was clean and well maintained, great for kids as it's only 3ft deep.

They did a beautiful job in renovating and styling this hotel which is centrally located in Waikiki. The room was very comfortable and they have done a great job on creating a nice atmosphere for the pool even though it's wedged between a group of tall buildings.
There was a beautiful restaurant downstairs that is very high end compared to the hotel being a mid-level cost, so didn't really feel like they were trying to cater to their guests. It would have been nice if they offered a breakfast menu and also pub style dinner menu.
The Lei Stand cocktail bar looks like a nice establishment, only problem was that it was like a refrigerator in there which was very uninviting. Would have been nice if they opened up the doors to the outside patio to let the warm air in and for it to be visible to people walking by. They kind missed the mark on these 2 aspect, but other than that, the hotel was very nice and a very comfortable stay.

Staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Definitely have that aloha spirit! The hotel is at the perfect location, literally across the street from the international market place…walking distance to great shops, food, and the beach! The hotel lobby was small and dimly lit, but there is a restaurant and bar on the property. The rooms were standard. Nothing too special, but got the job done. There were also inconsistencies. For example, we had connecting rooms and one had a bidet in the bathroom, while the other did not. If you plan on parking, just note that it is valet only.

Breakfast selection was phenomenal and portions were very reasonable. Hotel is open area other than the lobby and your own room. We went to the bar on a Friday night and the DJ was awesome, great vibe. Tried the 855-ALOHA restaurant on a Tuesday night and it was half full. Wait time for service and meals was almost nonexistent. Food was honestly the best tasting meal we had in our entire 10 day stay. Fresh and high quality meals all around. Housekeeping was done every other day and I was told they would provide fresh towels and bedding as well and clean out any trash. Towels were always fresh but I’m almost certain the bedding was not changed, they only made up the bed. All staff were wonderful and communication was impeccable. Valet is pricey but really worth it to avoid parking headaches! Location is great, lots to do within walking distance (2-30minute walk). Would love to come back and would definitely recommend to friends and family :)

Room was very small, but everything else about the hotel makes up for it. They had free activities most mornings, prime location, complimentary breakfast was great, the bar downstairs is fun, good cocktails, and we even used the beach candy rentals for free, it was nice. If you don’t plan on spending much time in your room this hotel is perfect

Overall stay was great i would stay again,dislikes were towels always out or gave us 2 but there is 5 on reservation. Paying for resort fees but candy credits to get boogie boards and umbrellas etc. Are at another hotel need to leave deposit separately. Our pool was out of service several days,and if you want parking must pay vallet parking fee 55 a night not included in fees. Most of workers were very friendly except maybe one.But is in a great location near all shopping.

This is an average hotel. The room is extremely small. There are no microwaves, so you will not be able to heat anything. There is a water station where you can refill your water bottle. The location is great. You’re close to many restaurants, shops and a comfortable walk to the beach.

Great stay! The location of this hotel is near some of the great spots like Kona coffee, musubi and udon noodles. There are near by shopping centers to walk to and the bus stops are near by to get to other locations. The staff was so friendly and accommodated us before and after our check in/out. Great spot to stay!

Room was beautiful, booked a Junior Suite with 2 beds and a pull out couch. Staff was always attentive, great service from all the services we had, from the receptionist to the valet guys. They were all great, what made it even better was that the hotel room was renovated and all the power outlets are updated so you can charge many electronics at the same time. We have stayed at different hotels before but this one was a hidden gem. We did not use their pool, but it looked really nice. My kids loved the hotel as well, stayed with a total of 7 people. 3 adults and 4 children all the kids were always on the WiFi so had no issues or complaints from any of them. Really recommend this location. What I found most helpful that you can contact the receptionist by text and they respond very quickly with any questions or concerns.

All of the staff were super sweet and helpful (except for one), including the valet guys. They helped me with directions for free parking, but ultimately, we used their services because parking was a hassle. There was one front desk associate that seemed a little cold and inapproachable. I felt like an inconvenience to him. Other than that, it was a great stay. We loved the location because it was near to everything food, shopping, and a short walk for a sunset.

We won’t be returning to this hotel. It was our second time there, and we had a great time the first time. However, our last stay was not as pleasant.

The biggest complaint I have is the shower. The design is a major flaw. The door shower only covers less than halfway, which means water splashes everywhere, including the toilet and floors. If you’re using the toilet while someone else is in the shower, you’ll get soaked.

I was hoping to get a complimentary upgrade since I’m an Expedia Gold member, but that didn’t happen even though the larger rooms were available. The experience was not the same.

I won’t be staying there again.

The Romer House Hotel is a smaller hotel located on a busy street near the International Market. The pros: good location to walk around to many stores, restaurants, beach etc. If you're driving, there an many nearby highway entrances. The hotel itself is dated, but there were major upgrades made. They offer valet parking for a fee, which was convenient, considering parking is difficult to find for overnight stays (we were here for 7 days). There is a restaurant and 'bar' on-site. The pool deck is clean, but I thought the pool was too narrow and shallow. Cons: very active and noisy street. AC units were challenging to control and keep running through the night. It was very damp in the bathrooms and the bath towels just wouldn't dry up for every night's wash. Lastly, the rug in both rooms were very dirty. I was not happy seeing my kiddos dirty feet. After the 1st night, we showered every night and wore our flipflops while lounging around the room

We loved the hotel at first. We loved the staff and the breakfast package with room was amazing. Our only complaint is the noisy street it sits on. Beyond ear plugs! I recommend the side of building in the back towards pool. Love the hotel but not the noisy street. it’s all night as well

We were disappointed overall with our stay. The rooms were extremely small compared to what was advertised. We did not have enough towels or bedding for all of our party. Housekeeping did not come any of the days we were there, despite us being out of the room all day. It was extremely noisy and sleep was disrupted. The front desk ladies were helpful and nice, but the male front desk working was rude, unhelpful, and didn’t seem to know what was going on with our reservation.

Overall, everything was excellent. I give it a 9.9 out out 10. It would be a perfect 10 if the resort had beach chairs that we could borrow. The basic chairs from Costco would be fine. I didn’t want to walk too far to get the free chair rentals.

The street noise and nearby nightclubs were a bit loud on the first few days of your stay - coming off of New Years celebration. But location was perfect to walk everywhere.
Only thing from being a 5 star is the size / photos online vs what was actually in person. We expected more space since we had a family of 6, and that the king bedroom was more accessible-wide open to other room. If this is not an issue, everything else was great.

After checking in we went to room and it was dirty, called front desk, they had me go back down get key cards for a new room. No help with moving my luggage to the new room. New room only had 2 bath towels for 6 people. Sofa bed had no pillows or sheets. Staff was nice.

Overall good, Staff was great. Resort fees are ridiculous for things nobody uses or used to be free, no microwave or clock in room. Hotels are doing the same as airlines and will lose customers as a result. Expedia website says for breakfast for all with a fee, then says only for 2 after you pay. I emailed Expedia in advance and got an ok for 5, but only received breakfast for 3 once I arrived.
