Great breakfast. Great location. Great amenities. We only asked for room service once during our 5 night stay and the cleaning was disappointing. (E.g. the trash wasn't taken out, the beds were sloppily made and the floor did not get vacuumed). Regardless we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel!

Breakfast was good with variety if fruits, breads and muffins etc. Coffee was available 24 hours in the lobby.
The view of the ocean was acceptable but not great with other buildings blocking the view to some extent.
Staff was very cooperative and was heppy to provide help and guidance.

I spent 10 days solo at Vive and loved it. Room was well sized, windows overlooked the beach. No balcony which was fine as the street below can get loud. I needed to work while there and Vive accommodates with a full size desk (anyone who has tried to make do with a flimsy round little bistro table knows a full desk is Everything for us digital nomads). Bathroom was good - huge walk in shower - with eco friendly bath products. Generous breakfat in the mornings that was elevated from the typical 'buffet line'. 22 floors and 2 elevators yet never had to wait more than about 30 seconds. The front desk and housekeeping staff are LOVELY! Good coffee is kept fresh and hot all hours (which was really helpful as I worked NY hours)! The area is eminently walkable. So many great food choices. I had 2 AC units in my Jr Suite, very comfortable. Mini fridge. I took the advice seriously not to leave any open food/beverages or packaging left out so to not attract bugs - at all meals out or down in first floor common area - nothing in room - and as a result I had an entirely bug free stay. Will stay at Vive again in a heartbeat!

Second time saying at the Vive. It’s getting older for sure, scuffs on the walls, dated furniture and AC. The continental breakfast is nice, along with the beach gear available. Only 2 blocks from the beach which is great. All of the staff except one guy was very friendly. We did have a ton of small ants in our room which was unfortunate and there was some hair in the tub when we checked in. Overall a decent stay for a lower price than a lot of other hotels on Waikiki.

This is an old building that has been renovated. The room is small, but we could see the ocean. The main downside was a window air conditioner that was very loud. In the morning, we’d turn it off just for some respite.
There’s only valet parking, but that seemed to work fine. From the street, the entrance to the hotel is rather hidden. I had to learn the landmarks of the buildings that preceded Vive so I wouldn’t drive past it.
The breakfast buffet was modest, but adequate. Coffee is available 24 hours, and it’s good. Seating is scarce at 7 AM when the buffet opens. Staff is very nice. Overall, I’d call Vive a fair value.

Valet service was very friendly. Arnel recognized us on the last day of our 1-week stay, even though he only had only seen us one other time when we arrived.

All of the staff from the front desk, housekeeping, and kitchen were attentive and answered all of our questions.

The room was clean and stocked with what we needed. The breakfast was enjoyable everyday.

The welcoming staff—specially Marshall was very accommodating! My favorite part is when they text before our stay, that made us feel we were expected, everything is prepared and ready. Whenever we needed anything, it was provided right away. The breakfast was great! Not too overwhelming def helpful to start up your day. The rooms were very clean. It helps as well that the beach stuff was provided. Thank you so much, Vive! We will be back!

The room was sufficient for the price. Their rooms are dated, there is no balcony, but some rooms will have a view of the beach. Regardless, the rooms are very clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are beach items that are free to use — boogieboards, chairs, umbrellas, cooler bags — making life so easy if you feel like lounging on the beach which is 2 blocks away.

Very easy check-in. We were greeted warmly upon check in and given a cold glass of refreshing pineapple juice. After a long flight the juice was much appreciated. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Hotel is close to Waikīkī beach and they provide guests with free towels, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas. Included breakfast was very nice. Eggs (hardboiled or omelet style for the three days we were there), sausage or bacon, a variety of fresh fruit, toast, pastries, porridge, coffee or tea…it was quite good. Sometimes difficult to find a table but it all works out.
Overall the hotel is an excellent choice over the more expensive nearby hotels.

Right off the bat, super nice staff; they are fantastic. The breakfast was solid, fruit is definitely the highlight. They provide you with lots of nice bonuses golded into the amenity fee. Room is clean, but we had an issue with the bathtub draining. We let the staff know, and they fixed it later that day. The rooms do have the potential to be small. Think more \"Japanese business hotel\" size. It's a good choice and I would recommend, but it's not a perfect place or stay. Overall pretty good with a great location.

We really loved our stay at Vive Hotel; it’s in such a wonderfully walkable spot, the price is comfortable mid-range, and the daily breakfast is simple but appreciated: think toast, pastries, fresh papaya and melon, warm oatmeal, and rotating eggs with bacon or sausage, all self-serve and easy. The welcome pineapple juice was such a sweet touch, and they even checked in on our anniversary stay by text, which felt genuinely thoughtful. We did have a small hiccup with housekeeping one day when our room wasn’t cleaned by mid-afternoon and we were trying to nap when they arrived, but they quickly brought us fresh towels so it all worked out. The rooms have window AC, great water pressure, and practical amenities -nothing super fancy, but everything you need. The resort fee covers fun extras like borrowed beach chairs, bags, sunscreen, and a cute little library. Friendly staff, safe atmosphere, and a price that doesn’t make your wallet cry… we felt so welcome here and would absolutely recommend it.

Room 1004 had cockroaches in the room. Hotel refunded only two nights of amenities to address the inconvenience. Also, the rental van booked with Expedia did not fit inside their garage or any Waikīkī Hotel garage. Eventually I had to park in the side streets. Later, the vehicle was cited and towed costing me $500 along with a whole days worth of locating the impounded vehicle and having to uber back to the airport car rental for another vehicle. What could have been improved is inspecting the rooms for pests like cockroaches which is a big deal before having guests stay in the rooms. Also, it would’ve been great if the rental car company and the hotels disclose that there is a height restrictions for certain passenger vans upfront. Lesson learn and hopefully this can be passed onto other guests.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels in Waikiki and if I could give the Vive more than a five star we certainly would this will always be our go-to hotel now. The staff are genuine friendly and kind and the place is always clean. Amazing lobby area for visiting or just sitting and reading a book. Well designed Hotel 10 star.

From arriving, the staff at Vive was wonderful. We were greeted by a welcoming valet member, checked in by a helpful front desk worker, and enjoyed our clean room that had a small complimentary snack to celebrate our special occasion for traveling. After catching a nap, we enjoyed hot tea at their 24 hr tea/ coffee bar and had a nice chat with the front desk worker. The hotel has a contemporary vibe, beautiful murals on each floor when exiting the elevator, and the dining/ living room common space has two murals from Hawaiian artist, Punky Aloha--- love her stuff, so this was a nice surprise!!!
The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and beach gear- towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie board, and even sand tops for the kids. The beach is 3 blocks away from the hotel and simple to get to. We were only there 1 night but would definitely come back to stay with Vive if we get the chance. Mahalo!

Upon arrival we were greeted by amazing and friendly valet, Art. He hustled and was so professional and courteous. We were checked in by friendly staff and welcomed with a beverage. The lobby was nicely decorated and had a lot of amenities. Then we went to our room.

At first glance, the room was smaller than expected. “Cozy” is a term most might use however cozy is a kind way to put it. That wasn’t so much the issue but the “beat up” state of the room. The room had clean linens and towels; however the walls were extremely banged up- scuffed and scraped— beyond a normal wear and tear. The bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around in it — however it is what it is— the issue was the cleanliness. As you look around more the grime on the walls - light switches-baseboards and behind toilet was gross. Just seemed like the room needed some major maintenance and upkeep.

I booked the room based on reviews and price however for the price I was very disappointed. I would have given the hotel a 2 star however due to the great friendly staff and Valet - Art and I believe (Daniel?- morning valet) I feel they deserve 5 stars on their own!

I’ve stayed at the Vive Hotel Waikiki three times now, and it's still a fantastic choice. The location is hard to beat—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and everything in Waikiki.

The complimentary breakfast is very good, with enough variety to start the day well, and the rooms are pretty nice and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond for my partner’s birthday, and the welcome gift they prepared was truly top-notch, making our stay feel extra special.

The only downside is that the in-room AC can be quite noisy at night, so that light sleepers might notice it. Overall, though, Vive remains a favourite, and I’d happily stay here again.

Request a high floor if you go for the ocean view - the junior suites have tv’s that only face the couch - so we switched to a ocean view queen high up and it was a good deal. Breakfast is good - valet parking is super convenient. The rooms are basic but the price, staff and location make up for it. Good deal if you will be outside on the beaches all day - thank you Vive had a great stay!

The staff were the best and super friendly. The morning kitchen crew seemed stressed or tired, but were still very friendly. The front desk was hands down the best. Roger I believe his name was had been super helpful when checking in. My room smelled of smoke and he sent James from maintenance to fix the smell. Everyone was super friendly down to the housekeeping crew. I had a positive experience.

The the hospitality of the staff was amazing, Very helpful and courteous.
The free breakfast was a continental breakfast. It would have been nice if they offered, yogurt, bagels, or Waffles. The fresh fruit every morning, with eggs and meat Gave you your protein to start the day.
The initially the room was clean other than more dusting could have been done. Our housekeeper, Keep our room very nice and fresh everyday.
The location was really good. Walkable scenery with shopping and eateries.
For the rate we really enjoyed the Vive hotel.
I will stay there again and have all ready recommended the Vive to a close friend who has booked his stay for October trip...
