Everything was amazing except the balcony view due to ongoing renovations. Sea view is also blocked because of two buildings in-front of it. Breakfast is average.

Overall welcoming staff and good clean rooms.

We enjoyed our stay at The Hyatt Place Waikiki. It was a great location for visiting Waikiki Beach as well as other iconic places. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great that they provided beach towels and beach chairs. Breakfast was also very good and ran very efficiently.

Positives- the staff were amazing and incredibly friendly/accommodating.
The complimentary breakfast was ok.

Negatives- I paid extra for a diamond head view. Not only could I barely see it (unlike the advertised pictures they show on here to make it more appealing) but my balcony wouldn’t open. I feel like I was ripped off for the extra however much for the “view” I received but whatever…
The shower had horrible pressure & literally stopped and squeaked at multiple moments during so… there’s that. The toilet also screamed every time it was flushed which meant you couldn’t flush if you needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Really weird.
It was okay because we were barely in the room but I definitely won’t be booking here again. 2.5/5

This was our second stay at this hotel, I will say that the staff is always doing their best and helping out asap which is amazing as other hotel take forever. The room was always clean, and always smelled fresh. Breakfast included in our stay, say lesss we made sure to always get breakfast there. Honestly not much a beach view, but definitely short walk to Waikiki beach is a plus.

They were painting the floors and our room smelled like paint thinner the first 2 days. I reported it to the front desk. They said they were going to do something but honestly, I don’t think they did. The fire alarm went off one day we went to the lobby. They didn’t really have any information nor did they tell us when everything was clear that it was OK to go back to the rooms. Beneath our balcony was a weed truck dispensary and a homeless man sleeping on the street. Needless to say it smelled like marijuana on the balcony. If I were to ever stay there again I would have to have an incentive.

I choose Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach hotel because it has rooms that fits up to 6 people. That's great for families with kids. And because it is close to the beach, about 4 min walk. Staff were helpful and let us check in earlier. Breakfast was good. I would suggest adding fresh veggies and potatoes wedges every day. Free reusable bottles and water dispensers on site are awesome idea! Very pleased with our stay and definitely recommend to look into it.

When visiting Oahu, we stay at Hyatt Place Waikiki and it never disappoints! Staff is friendly, wonderful, and helpful, and the hotel is always clean and welcoming. Breakfast has changed over the years, some prepackaged sandwiches vs all fresh food. Still good and still worth the stay! Will definitely continue to stay at Hyatt Place Waikiki when on Oahu and highly recommend.

Comfortable beds and good location, the free breakfast is a plus. However, if you are on a lower floor count on taking the stairs. There are only 2 elevators and too many floors. Try to get on the highest floor possible when you make your reservation.

Unfortunately, I we were put in a room with a port window, not what we paid for. We were moved to a balcony room the following day. Everything from this point was amazing. I thought the two elevators were a small inconvenience, but manageable. The only downside was the small restroom and the door swing. Maids were fantastic. Beds were extremely comfortable. Overall, love it!

The breakfast had variety with everyday being something new. They had eggs, sausage, potatoes, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, yogurt bar, oatmeal, cereal, a variety of breads and bagels, broth, kimchi, tofu, rice.

The staff was very attentive. Our room was cleaned daily and we got fresh towel replacements whenever we asked.

They offered beach towels, chairs, and boogey boards for the beach.

Parking is expensive if you have a rental car but the location is close to Waikiki beach so a rental isn't necessary unless you want to travel to other parts of the island.

The ocean view double room was beautiful. The bathroom space was small but overall the room is really nice. Housekeeping is really good, we stayed 6days. Breakfast was ok. The pool was useless. Very small and not in a good area. However the beach is close so it doesn’t matter. Also the hotel is located on the pink trolley line which takes you along all the shopping lines. The best $6 spent daily

Traveled with my parents and 2 minors. 6 days 5 nights. Room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our balcony. We got views to Mountain on one end and beach view on the other end. Staff was excellent. Always carried a smile and super polite. Breakfast was fresh but repetitive. Provided beach towels upon request at lobby. Beach is super close. Will return.

1. Front office guys are very much interested in promoting $45/day BS. It's literally have zero value. They tried to get a nod from the customers to grab the money from us unless you're thoroughly mindful and well aware of these kind of gimmicks.

2. Elevator - it's pathetic for such a big branded company provides only 2 lifts for the entire block. We literally spent several minutes many times in the busy hours to onboard the elevator. Not sure how they'll rescue if someone has emergency.

3. Breakfast was ok. Same menu showcased in different shapes and flavors.

Overall not worth for the money we are paying for.

No shuttle to the hotel provided, however Charley’s taxi offers a flat reasonable rate for the airport to the hotel. The breakfast provided was decent, nothing extravagant. There were Asian breakfast options. The location is a two minute walk to Waikiki beach and lots of dining options to choose from.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Waikīkī. Overall, the hotel was okay — nothing terrible, but nothing that made it feel like the Hyatt experience I expected. I did appreciate that they offered pool and beach towels, which was convenient.

The biggest issue, and the reason I wouldn’t stay here again, was the valet situation. It was basically non‑existent. By our second day, there was still no valet availability at all. We were told to try again around 11 AM, and even then, no luck. Valet is $60 a day, yet it was never actually available.

Instead, they hand you a map of surrounding hotels and parking lots you can try to get into, all ranging from $45–$60 a day as well. So for our entire stay, we ended up parking at a neighboring hotel because that was our only option.

As for the room, the view was mostly blocked by other hotels — we stayed on the 10th floor — so don’t expect much scenery. It’s a decent hotel, but for a Hyatt, I definitely expected more.

Love this hotel for the friendly staff, the included breakfast, the convenience to the beach and the huge rooms! We stay every 6 months and have always had an amazing vacation. The staff go out of their way to ensure we are taken care of and happy and truly appreciate our repeat business. Rooms are very large (specialty rooms) and always very clean.
This hotel is walking distance to most anything you need, or a bus/trolley ride away.

Staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. This hotel is in a great location making it easily accessible to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The elevators are very slow especially during high traffic times but the stairs are right there.

While the room was clean and the balcony was a nice ammenity, the extra cost for a partial ocean view wad definitely not worth it. This is because the full ocean view is obstructed by another residential building, essentially making you the view for them.

The furniture in the lobby is shabby and needs replacing.
The breakfast area is always busy and there aren't always seats available to eat.
The food is decent, not a huge choice, but not bad.
The location is also great. One block from the tour bus stop. One block from the beach. And lots of shopping and food nearby.
The HVAC unit in the room was very quiet and worked well. And the shower was awesome.

Good price point and free breakfast. The hotel.was renovated around 2014 and its starting to show some wear and tear. The tub was chipped and stained and the bathroom fan didn't work. In some rooms the deck was being fixed so it was off limits. The staff is great and accommodating and we like the location close to the zoo and diamond head. I find the waikiki hotels are old in general so try and find one more recently renovated is the trick.

The elevators take at least 2 minutes to come down or up. You are responsible for paying parking which if your driving something big it's even more. Sometimes the lot is full so you have to look elsewhere.

We choose this location to be close to the Zoo, and free breakfast. We arent breakfast people but to just grab simple things to eat before lunch was perfect one less thing to buy.
