We were there at the same time as \"grad week.\" This is an event we had no knowledge of, but learned it is a week of unsupervised vacation for new high school graduates. The Twin Fin was one of the main grad week hotels. I wish I had been notified of this by the hotel, both via the hotel's website and hotels.com. The kids were actually okay behavior wise (not too loud, etc.), the biggest problem seemed to be that the hotel was over taxed in every possible way. There were never clean towels at the pool. The wifi was incredibly slow. The AC worked so poorly that out bath towels were not dry 24 hours later.

Do you imagine yourself checking into this hotel that you viewed online that looked amazing and beautiful? Do you imagine swimming in their pool that looks so wonderful or inviting? Well if you have, better bring your own towels from HOME. They never have towels for guests, yep, your lucky if you are given any out of this huge recycle bin out of the dryer or if you find about some folded by the pool, and if you do see any, GRAB triple what you need. This hotel is run down, so run down. Elevators break down here, the housekeeping doesn’t do a great job. We paid so much here for a two bedroom! My body wash wasn’t filled, or shampoo multiple times. I had to call for one repeatedly , they take forever to bring you towels. Oh I forgot, when we checked in and our room was not ready, as we decided let’s get in the pool but there were no towels to dry off, as we were drying off we asked for waters from the pool service girl, she forgot them LOL and came back to ask again what we wanted.
I am currently staying at this hotel and writing this review in the hopes to deter people from booking here! Don’t fall for it! It’s so run down here. They also took my son’s stuffed animal when they changed the bedding so it’s now lost. So very disappointed, I can’t believe Expedia has it rated as a four star and so does google. DONT STAY HERE. The restrooms near the pool are not CLEAN! Disgusting. No room service no laundry service.

I will forever recommend and book this place in the future! I checked in late (after 8 pm) and I had the most pleasant experience ever and every single member of the front desk (different days times) was absolutely a pleasure! My entire first time experience was incredibly memorable and the view (ocean front) is one that will forever stay with me as well).

The location of this hotel room is fantastic, with direct views of the rocky mountains and Waikiki Beach. It’s extremely close to the beach, making it super convenient to head down anytime.

However, the room itself feels dated with old, worn facilities.

Strongly recommend booking a triple room on the high floors—24th or 25th floor with a balcony is absolutely the best choice!

The safe in my room did not work, room 513. The bedside table was sticky and had stains on it. The bottom sheet of my bed had small blood stains from a scrape, probably. Because I’m a guy by myself I did not care that much but I think they could manage their room service a bit better. Also, the attendant only came to my room twice in five days.

The hotel lobby smelled like poop which air freshener was used to cover it up.
The hotel was full of high school graduating students running up and down the hallway, banging on each others doors, not allowing other guests to sleep. Complained to the front desk but nothing was done about it.
No towels for poolside were available.
Room was clean although outdated.

Beautiful hotel with a great view of the beach from our lanai and located at the south end of Waikiki. The hotel is right across the street from the beach and walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping. Our only complaint is that maybe because the hotel is on the older side, there wasn’t great sound insulation. Our room was quite a few floors above the hotel bar and the street but we could hear the louder revelers and traffic noise later in to the night. Not a deal breaker though, would definitely stay there again.

The room views are amazing and the beach is just a short walk across. My only complaint would be the cleanliness. Our room had some concerning stains on the carpet as well as in the hallway. I did notice that they were shampooing carpets in other rooms, so I think they are working on it, and other rooms I saw were cleaner (we stayed with a big group). Great stay and great value!

The Twin Fin Hotel was amazing, I will definitely be returning, I had the perfect view for my solo trip, I loved waking up every morning to stand on my Lanai and enjoy the morning view. Overall what I like most is the accessibility of the hotel to the beach. My kids loved it so much that early morning we can come to the beach.Bed was not comfortable in my opinion it needs to be change. I feel that it hasn't been changed for many years.There was no room service offered during our stay.No free toiletries like shampoo or body wash at least. Microwave is upon request which I find unrealistic. TV has very limited channels.No cable channels at least like Disney or nickelodeon which I think it's a must for a hotel that is mainly family friendly.

Beach view was good. Tiki Restaurant was great. Pool menu was limited but cabana was very affordable- pool service is slow.
Hotel is renovated poorly. A/c is very loud all night. Elevators are slow and filthy. Halls and carpet are dirty. Walls in room need repainted. Restrooms are dirty and need paint. Beds are very soft. All night the guests are extremely loud. Between A/C, road noise and other guests nights were not restful at all.

I’ve stayed twice here and coming back was a bit disappointing. My room felt dirty upon arrival, there was no hand soap, I stayed a week and traveled with my family of 5. It was very convenient to use downstairs amenities like the pool or beach accessories rental for free with room stay credit. Overall perfect ocean view balcony and walking distance to many stores and restaurants.

The “partial view” was hardly that! The resort fees were ridiculously high in my personal opinion! I’ve stayed at better resorts that charged way less! Food in that area is over priced and flavorless! Over all great location but be ready to spend lots & lots of money!

There was a roach present at the time of our stay and my daughter got bitten, which resulted in swollen and watery bumps on her legs. This was our second time here, and when the name was Aston, there were no issues, but this time there was just the roach; however, the staff were very helpful and checked on us.

Great location with the beach directly across the street. The parking was convenient, especially if you choose to park on the property. The amenities were comfortable, the rooms were cleaned daily, and there were plenty of food options nearby. Overall, everything was excellent, and we had a great stay.
My only complaint was that the elevators were very slow and often took a long time to arrive. Other than that, everything was great.

The view was good, bed, pillow comfy. Motel was packed with graduation kids so the elevator took forever. The car service was awesome. The room key was terrible on the last two days of our stay first it wasn't reading and the second time maintenance had to come and break into our room and change the whole lock system which is not good when your coming in late after hours.

The hotel has a smoked sensor right by the sliding glass door and if you keep it open like we did and other people are smoking on the balcony your smoke sensor will go off and the hotel will charge you $500 plus tax. I am no fighting with the carg

We stayed here one night after staying at the Sheraton for 4 and Aulani for 2. This hotel was quite a bit cheaper than especially Aulani so obviously we didnt expect it to be similar but it is definitely a little run down overall and our room smelled musty. Positives- restaurant had good food, pool was decent, and the ocean view from our balcony on 20th floor was insane. If you are on a budget it is a decent pick.

This hotel is amazing. It had beautiful views and friendly helpful staff. The cleaning lady I believe maricel on the 10th floor was great! The front desk guy needs a vacation he doesn’t seem so helpful but the valet guys went above and beyond for me and my son! Overall, great place to bring your family and have fun! Lots of things to do around the hotel and at the hotel as well. The breakfast on the 21st floor is NOT worth it though but Goofys down stairs made our trip even better! Love the time we spent here!

The beach was right across the street. The value for the price was good. The building really needs to be updated. They really need to vacuum in the hallways, complete mess. There was pubic hair all over the toilet and we had to be switched to another room which the bathroom was also dirty. There was also a comb stuck in the mattress of the sofa bed. Very close to the beach and restaurant and stores. It was nice that they had refillable filtered water bottles and close to a rental place for chairs and umbrella. They just need to take some of the profit from these rooms and update their building and have more staff to clean the rooms.

This is my second time staying here in two years, great value, comfortable beds, clean rooms and a great view of the beach that’s literally across the street. I stay here with my teenage kids and wife with zero problems. Definitely recommend! Stayed June 2025 and May 2026. Will be back again!

We had a good week at the Twin Fin. We changed rooms after the first night as the first suite was super noisy from a construction site on the other side of the street.
The staff helped professionally with the room change and we appreciate the quick fix.
The Hotel is old so don’t expect a perfectly tidy room with the newest furniture. They putting much effort keeping everything going and nice looking but you will find the mold pushing through all the corners in bathroom. The beds are too soft for my opinion and I liked the harder beds at the Waikiki Resort more. Kids had a blast and if you are looking for an affordable spot to stay with small kids I can recommend it.
But it’s not comparable with a luxurious Hotel and it is not the best place if you like shopping and lots of food options. It is super close to the zoo and to shallow water with palm trees.

Proximity to the beach was excellent. Beyond that, staff was sub-par, hallways/carpets were filthy, rooms and elevators not clean to any acceptable level (scrud on shower walls, dirt/sand on floors, windows not clean, bedding was dirty/stained, etc.). In one instance, I entered a restroom by the pool and got covered in paint. They had painted the door and neglected to put up a 'wet paint' sign.

Rarely were towels available by the pool and you had to walk across a slippery floor to request them. Getting the front desk/concierge on the phone felt like winning a lottery. Wifi was slow and spotty at best. Dismal choice of TV channels, and I spent more time watching frozen/glitched pixels than my hockey game. Literally...would freeze for 30 seconds every minute or two.

As a souvenir, I received several groups of small red marks on my ankles...groups of 3, presumably bed bugs, which wouldn't surprise me in the least. I stopped getting them when I gave up sleeping in the bed and just slept on top of the bedding.

Aside from the wonderfully pleasant housekeeping staff, the bulk of the other staff presented like they just hated their jobs. Sadly, we have nothing really good to say about The Twin Fin, and it's very unfortunate. With some proper management and better staffing, the place could really be something. As it stands, I'll happily pay twice as much somewhere else for cleaner conditions and some pleasant staff on my next trip later this year.

Great price for a beachfront Waikiki hotel, the parking is a little costly, but the valet crew is pretty fast once you text them. The breakfast at the coconut club is a great deal and has an awesome view. The room was decent. One thing to note is that my room had a constant whistle from the wind blowing, with the sliding door closed. A little irritating at times and the first time I’ve experienced anything like it at a Waikiki hotel.

Everything in this place was basically the landlord special covered up paint metal on the room. Nothing was ever easy with them. It was always a hassle to get our room cleaned or even to get towels because they only do every other day service when we asked to have our room cleaned the day before we left. They told us that they would try, but there wouldn’t be any promises. Also, if you plan to be out most of the day there’s a pretty good chance that they won’t get to your room elevators are designed so badly they take forever a lot of hidden fees not even talking about the resort fees. The only good thing about this hotel was the restaurant.

We stayed four nights and we really enjoyed our staying the moment we arrived at the lobby. The staff was friendly and was always helpful when we needed it. The hotel was clean and so was the room. We only got in the pool once but the water to be a little cold for us. We ate once at the restaurant for dinner time and the wait time was not that bad but found prices to be a little steep but overall it was a good experience. One thing that really bothered us was that sometimes the elevators would take a very long time to arrive but other than that, we never had any issues at all.
Right on the beach and surrounded by a lot of restaurants and stores, but sometimes it was hard to find parking on the street since we were not paying for valet parking.
Definitely would stay here again if I want to be right across from the beach and the heart area of Waikiki.

The Twin Fin Hotel is a fantastic and convenient choice for a Waikiki stay. It sits in a prime location right across the street from the beach, offering beautiful ocean views and instant access to the sand.
