Overall we enjoyed our stay at Twin Fin. The location can’t be beat, pool is lovely, daily tokens at the store are great for chairs, umbrella etc. unfortunately the surf boards are not included in the token deal which was disappointing. We were disappointed in the housekeeping services which didn’t show up once during our 4 night stay. Beds and pillows weee super comfy and the hotel was quiet at night which is hard to find in Waikiki!

This hotel is not a bad hotel at all; however the value is not worth the cost. For the high costs and resort fee, you will have a much newer and enjoyable experience at the Marriot. The difference in price is pennies and the difference in room and amenities is drastic. I was very disappointed by the room and hotel in comparison to the other hotels in the area. They have tons of hidden fees, the pool is not impressive, there is no hot tub, the rooms are older. I would definitely choose a different hotel in the area even if it seems more expensive, in the end you will pay the same for less amenities.

This hotel was great! We stayed here for 8 nights for our honeymoon. I honestly don’t think the breakfast was worth it they only had three options for like $55 for two people so I would skip that. But they offered Lei making and ukulele lessons which was super fun!

The breakfast at the Coconut Club was divine! The bed was comfortable, room was clean, lanai was tiny, the kids had fun in the pool, and the location is great right across the street from Waikiki beach. I just wish the weather would have been better.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was excellent, the breakfast was excellent, the views from the room were excellent. My only complaint would be the resort fee, which made it where you could rent things for free from a shop in the bottom of the hotel but there was only 5 things you could rent for free, anything else costed between $5-20 to rent, plus you had to turn it in at 5 pm.
$200 resort fee for a 3 night stay.

Parking is too expensive, $60+tax per day. On top of that, we give tip to the valet every time we get and return the car. I know this is optional but still, it adds up to the cost of your stay. The conditioner in our bathroom ran out on the 3rd day of our stay. We informed the housekeeper but it wasn’t refilled. Staff on the reception and the valet were nice though.

Resort fees are way out of line - can stay just up the street at Hyatt Place for cheaper resort fee, much nicer hotel, and Hyatt offers a free breakfast bar which changes daily and truly is a great breakfast. For a small selection of food Twin Fin charges $55 per room. Getting nickeled and dimes to death on everything, and overcharged at that takes the fun. Out of vacation

The best things about this hotel is the location! Just across the street from the beach so that you can go for an early morning swim. They also have beach gear that you essentially pay for with your \"resort fee\", so I wouldn't say it's free, so you wanna make sure you use what you're paying for!

Didn’t like the additional $50/day resort fee on top of what we already paid through Hotels.com. Not sure that was even kosher. Parking is $60/day. That said, still a nice value, super location, little convenience store and great restaurant on property. Half of waikīkī and the zoo are within walking distance.

Bathrooms need to be desperately detailed.

There was hair and something inside of the shower. I could tell that shower has not been scrubbed in a while.

There was dust all over the Kleenex box and hair on the sink.
When I moved the Kleenex box, there was hair beneath it.

Not only did I wipe down the bathroom sink, I had to wipe down all of the night stands. There were crumbs everywhere.

I could tell the sheets and pillow cases they were cleaned but they were extremely stained.

The breakfast was great.
The staff were nice.

Please clean those bathrooms properly.

This is why I carry travel size Clorox wipes.

Location, Location, fantastic. It's right across the road from the beach, Zoo , shops, restaurants, All trolly buses that we took stopped here at our doorstep. Fantastic location, and staff. Hotel is a little dated in the rooms, but clean and comfortable, soft beds, we had a Juliet balcony, but there are bigger ones pool side. Partial ocean view was enough, because it at our doorstep. Save your money at this hotel, to spend on other things. Tours, shopping, and eating. It's expensive to eat out here.

The hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from the ocean with a beach that is very kid friendly with a barrier so there are no waves. The rooms were clean and the staff was super nice. You pay a resort fee and that gives you free rental of 3 items for the beach/ beach chairs, umbrellas, water shoes, backpack coolers etc. Make sure to get your items by around 9:00 am of some of the more popular items are gone.

Cons to the hotel. We had an ocean view room (great view) but it was so loud. You can hear everything from people talking and playing music to sirens and cars revving on the street below. We had to sleep with white noise on and that only partially helped. Also, like most hotels in Waikiki, they are just old. Could use new windows that help block the noise.

Well before we arrived we got a text claiming there are smoke/vape monitors in all the rooms, but they didn’t violate any privacy laws which gives you the impression they have cameras in the room. When we arrived the couple next to us was arguing with the front desk agent about the $500 charge they were given for smoking in the room, even though they claimed they had not smoked in the room. The front desk agent looked annoyed we were there and was about as welcoming as a sandpaper toothbrush. We checked in then to be reminded once again of the $500 they were going to charge us if we smoked or vaped in the room. Making it feel like less of a “smoke free” policy and more like a predatory charge practice or invasion of privacy. We got to our room, the bed was made but there was hair and mold in the shower. We couldn’t adjust the AC so the room was hot and humid making it difficult to sleep. We had a decent view of the ocean which was the properties only redeeming quality.

Check in went smoothly. Our flight did not leave on our last day until very late and the resort allowed us to store our luggage securely with valet until we went to the airport. On our second day, the refrigerator didn’t work, we let the front desk know and it was fixed in 20 minutes. The tiki bar needs to have more options in my opinion, but there are plenty of dining options in that area. The staff is super friendly, from the front desk to security to the cleaning people. The room that we had was neat and clean and met our needs.

Disgusting moldy room, scam charges for smoking when you absolutely did not, security pounding on our door waking us up and being rude. Management calling us liars and refusing to do anything except move us to another moldy room. Did not have our room cleaned once in 5 days. Had fire alarm testing qnd announcements going off for an hour. Kept texting and calling, adding stress and anxiety to our trip. All tour guides, locals, even the people working at the tiki bar said hiw awful the gitel is and how scammy they are.

My second stay there. Excellent location. Excellent room and amenities. Restaurant on premises is excellent. balcony view is fabulous. Lots of activities and wonderful pool and chairs and cabanas. If another hotel was cheaper I would not stay there and expensive hotels in that area do not measure up to everything this hotel has to offer. Great for singles, families and an older crowd as well. The beach is directly across the street. It’s at the end of the long strip of hotels and is quiet and has little traffic noise. Ten stars.

Great convenient location, everything you could need is walking distance unless you need a big grocery store. Just catch a taxi or Uber it's about $15 each way to Walmart. Beach is right there. They supply shampoo conditioner body wash and lotion. Also on 3rd floor they have sun block free . Free beach towels. I wished I had known all this I could have saved some luggage space. You can also ask for a microwave in your room. Our view was great. The only thing I disliked was the sewage smell in the 1st floor in lobby. It wasn't always but when the smell was there it was there. Cleaning service was great. If we came back to Hawaii I would definitely come back here.

The hotel is in a great location for tour pick ups and away from the hustle of Waikiki. It has a great tiki bar restaurant. We had an ocean front room, and the view was the best I’ve ever had. The hotel itself is very old and could really use a good renovation. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was good about it except that it was very old. I would stay here again once it was renovated.

The room stunk(l cannot figure out like what, but it was not a clean, fresh smell that you expect). To open the balcony you really have to be very strong. Was hit with $500 resort fee which covered… a safe in the room??? Beach towels? A pump of sun block? And a three item rental for he beach (beware, if u r a family of 5, u have to decide what u rent and how to split 3 chairs or 2 chairs and an umbrella. The pant is chipping, the hallways look sad, the carpet is old. The toilet worked, BUT the flush sound was as if you were on the plane- it felt like you will be flushed with it. And as a grand finale- met the cockroach on the day we were leaving (killed it). But did we bring some back home? I don’t know. Never again will I stay there. I usually don’t believe all the feedback that I read, but I should have this time.

Our stay at The Twin Fin Hotel was absolutely unforgettable. The oceanfront location is simply stunning — waking up to those views every morning felt like a dream.

Everything about this place creates the perfect island vibe: relaxed, beautiful, and full of energy at the same time. Being just steps from Waikiki Beach made the entire experience feel effortless and special.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave.

We left with the best memories and can’t wait to come back again.

The partial ocean view was better than expected. Absolutely great view! The resort fee is an added hidden expense that I feel is unscrupulous. Why not just include it in the room price? Even though I expected it, it just doesn’t feel right. There’s no choice. We used none of the beach towels, chairs or whatever else this allegedly covers, but have to pay anyway. Come on, just be transparent about your room rates. Other than that, the stay was very enjoyable.

The views from the ocean view room was fantastic. Hearing the ocean waves while going to sleep and then waking up was wonderful. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and make you feel valued and welcomed. The room was clean and housekeeping was great. The valet parking is invaluable in and around Waikiki. My only disappointment was the less than excellent condition of the building. We stayed on the 12th floor and the carpet showed its age, the bottom of the bathroom door was literally rotted, the wood laminate plank flooring were water damaged and separating, and the walls were painted haphazardly. There were areas where they splattered paint against the baseboard and didn’t bother to wipe it up.

But aside from the worn condition of the building, we did have a pleasant stay, with great views, and wonderful service.

This is an awesome hotel located in such a central hotel zone just across from the beach. The lotions in the room smell so Devine!!! All the amenities you need are provided. Don’t pack all those liquids- even sunscreen is available. Don’t let parking fees scare you, we parked in public parking next to the zoo for a fraction of the cost to valet. Get a car and explore all Oahu has to offer, you will not be disappointed! We will be coming back year after year!

Do not believe the pictures. This hotel is run down and old. I reserved for 5 nights and checked out after one night. The hotel is poorly maintained. Our glass patio door fell off the rails and was blowing in the wind 11 floors above the pool below. After multiple attempts to call the front desk for help, I resorted to calling 911. Do not book this hotel.

Our stay at the Twin Fin was good. The building & rooms are dated but the pool & lounging area are great. You can order snacks and drinks right from your lounge chair. The Tiki restaurant has great food & service but recommend reservations or going before sunset as it fills up quickly. The location is close to the zoo & diamond head is very close. I would recommend staying this side of Waikiki as it’s a little quieter but still on the busy street. Noise from below can be heard all hours as the patio doors are very old and the sound carries. The morning breakfast on the 21st floor is fantastic to watch the city & Oceanside come to life. The staff are very friendly & accomodating. Ian the waiter and his fellow female staff member were very helpful & cheery first thing in the morning. Overall, a good stay but not a repeat for our family.

Request high floors. Do not want 5th, 6th floor. We had 6th floor ocean view. Half the view you only see ugly roof. We requested a different room. Got it the next day. On 11th floor. Way better. Higher the better for ocean front views. Rooms are dated. Our first room had a funky unpleasant smell too. Pool is small. And crazy expensive valet (only option) at $60USD per night. And ridiculous “resort fees “ at $55 USD per day. But this seems to be common is a lot of US hotels. ? Staff were very nice. Location is great. Across the street from beach. Enjoyed our 11th floor lanai. Unfortunately we were also here during the 2nd big storm. So our week vacation, we only got 1 day without rain.

They have tried to do a refresh but the millwork that should have been replaced was just painted over, and poorly. It wouldn't stop me from staying there again but it is unfortunate that they didn’t have better eyes on the project.

Standard rooms with slant views to the beach across the street.
Great pool area with restaurant attached.
A nice surprise was finding out 2hr rentals for paddleboard, beach chairs and other items are included with your stay.
Priced right for basic accommodation. Hotel is at far left side- away from the commercial busy area on the far right. The high only opinion is much better.
Less than 1 block away from the zoo if you are traveling with kids…overall great location, great service, and well priced. I’d stay here again without hesitation
