The room was OLD!! One bed had a headboard one did not. The bathroom door did t close all the way. It was NOISY. All day and night. The hallways were dark and creepy. The “kitchen “ was just not. The fridge gave up after the second day. No sprinkler system. The windows didn’t shut all the way so it sounded like we were in a wind tunnel. The bed did seem clean and there was air conditioning. The cheapest room we could find and that’s what we got. Cheap.

The location of this hotel is perfect, walking distance from the beach and all the shops. The rooms, especially the bathrooms were pretty dated and some corners could definitely have used a little more cleaning and repairs. Overall if you care most about location (which we did) this is great and the pool is great!

The room was clean and though dated fixtures, they try to maintain things, even if it seems there is patchwork/bandage cover ups. No ceiling fans, ac functional. The chief complaint is that the guest room doors require a hard close which makes noise from everyone slamming doors. The beach is 2 blocks away and there is no view of anything from rooms. It’s central and convenient but in a kind of run down part of Waikiki. Lots of food and C-store options. The mandatory amenity fee is annoying and does not add value. They could just make the room rate $140 and call it a day

Five days before arrival I called to request a quiet room-I am sensitive to loud noise & loud music. I was assured that I would get a quiet room. I requested a room on the courtyard area as I stayed there before & had to request a room change. She was pleasant and helpful, as was the woman who checked me in. However, the man of whom I asked, the 1st day, to move my room was not helpful. I was offered earplugs twice (obvious noise issue at this hotel). The LOUD MUSIC from the Korean Barbecue Rest. was extremely unpleasant(i.e. bump, pause bump, bump, pause, bump, pause, bump bump)starting 7:45 AM until 11 pm(2 am my time). I asked to move my room & after being asked if I had used the room, & me answering no, I was curtly & rudely told no. After a day of no sleep & unable to stay in my room due to the noise, I went to the front desk again. I encountered a young woman (no name tag on her or anyone) who was rather curt, rude & unaccommodating & refused to give her name. Again, I was told I would not be moved. I asked them to ask the restaurant to lower the volume or change the music without a loud base. Again,NO. The manager,(I assume),came to overhear our conversation, but offered nothing. Again, I asked for a room on the courtyard side. Next day, I was moved to a room by the corner of Uluniu and Kuhio Aves-no better. It was not on the courtyard side like I had asked twice already.A sleepless 5 days later I was finally moved to the courtyard side.TOO NOISY! NO CALM!NO PEACE!

Upon checking in, the staff couldn't find our room and the boy checking us in smelled of beer. The room was hiding up stairs, behind closed unmarked doors. Elevators weren't functioning and we had two weeks worth of luggage to haul up two flights. Run, don't walk away from this terrible hotel. The only redeeming quality was the proximity to Waikiki Beach.

The sheets on the bed were dirty. I went to the desk to complain and have the sheets changed. The individual working said there was no one there who could change the sheets, but she could give me sheets to change them myself. Reluctantly, I took the sheets to my room and began to change the bedding. The sheets I was given were for a queen bed, but the bed in my room is a king bed. I took the sheets back down, indicating such. I was given another set of sheets and brought those to the room only to find out they also were for a queen bed. I made another trip down to the desk with those sheets to try to get sheets for a king bed. She was able to find a fitted sheet for a king, but it had stains on it. She then went to look somewhere else for another set of sheets. We ended up with a king fitted sheet two queen top sheets, and a queen blanket. So the bedding was never right. I have never had to make up my own bed at a hotel. I feel this situation was totally unacceptable, and they refused any compensation.

La plage est toute proche, beaucoup de petits commerces de restauration et boutiques de vêtements et de souvenirs, une très agréable piscine fait le bonheur des résidents, j'ai adoré la kitchenette et la climatisation... Allez, un petit bémol : il faut revoir la télécommande détraquée, sinon on allume par-dessous avec les boutons, pas grave... Un peu bruyant, aussi côté rue, mais extrême gentillesse de l'accueil... Charmant séjour aux prix abordables... 😊😍🌺

Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. They were able to offer to hold our luggage before our check in time and after our check out. Great location! Able to walk to restaurants shops and beach within 2 min. They also can hold on to your hotel key while youre out and about so that you dont lose it which was great for swimming. Room was organized and “clean” but there definitely was an issue with cockroaches and broken appliances- the microwave in the room didnt work and the freezer had cockroaches in it. Shower was decent and nice balcony. No car parking available although it was a 10min walk from public parking at the park. Its a nice hotel if youre just looking for a place to sleep and shower at.

I’m not gonna lie, the property was close to the beach, and the manager was cool and nice, but the room was really old and it had cockroaches it was too noisy. Old beds old furniture my kids didn’t want to stay there so we moved to another hotel

The reasoning for my rate and the missing star is due to 2 roaches adult German riches and a bunch of small ones with it seen in the room. Honestly, the service received by Ruby was great, a very friendly lady with great hospitality towards the guests. The room was fine as well, it’s been tended to despite its age, it was very nice, but the thought of taking a German roach with me home just scared me so much I made sure when leaving to have all luggage empty and repacked to assure we hadn’t taken a hitch hiker. The room had a microwave, toaster, fridge and small cooking area. That was quite nice, though we spent much our trip out and about. I loved it was so close to the beach and walking distance to many of our tour pick up locations. I would have honestly booked this hotel again. But the issue with the 2 roaches and babies I don’t believe I will unfortunately. If they do continue to fumigate and care that they remove the pests I would gladly return. Room had good AC kept it cool and fresh. Bed comfy , pool a nice small spot to enjoy with the kids at night winding down.

This is a decent hotel for the money you pay in the area. You cannot park and parking is very very difficult in this area. If you have to park in a parking lot overnight, you can add an additional $700 to your week stay.

The rooms have a kitchen which is really nice and I was able to buy a few simple things for breakfast which did save a lot of money. There is food directly across the street, food trucks, that have excellent food and very accessible, along with a coffee cart for mornings that has excellent coffee and great people were running it. Two block walk to the beach which is awesome, the ABC store which is like a convenience store that's all over Waikiki. Very convenient location and average as far as the hotel itself goes. I would definitely stay here again because the cost is low the thing that is a pain in the butt, is the parking situation. If you don't have a car, there's no worries about that.

Room is ok. location is very good close to everything.. restaurants, bars and walking distance to the beach. The only bad experience we had was the bathroom . The room we got, room 222, every time you shower it clogged. The shower drain needed some fixing. We mention it to the front desk so hopefully they will fix it so the next guests will not experience what we had.

Everything was dirty; very dissapointed because the pictures was nothing like the real thing. The wall paint was pilling off everywhere. The curtains had mold and blood stains in them. The shower head was fully black (instead of silver) full of mold. On the second night of our stay the light went off and the AC as well. We contactes the front desk but since it was Sunday there was nothing they could do, so we had to wait in a hot boiling room with a new born until they could figure it out. To then be sent to another room.The AC had tape on it to prevent it from falling apart and when we asked for one extra hour for late check out they denied it and had an attitude. Overall the experience was horrible and nobody wanted to help. We had to carry 5 carryons up the stairs without elevators because on the “premium” rooms which were more expensive they didn’t have an elevator and the excuse was “it’s only one flight of stairs”. It was only one fight of stairs but it was with 5 carry ons, one stroller, one new born and five backpacks and we paid extra for the premium room. Unbelievably disrespectful and horrible experience.

Cold AC. Great value for the area. 2 blocks from beach. Old and needs painting and a good scrub all over, pool included. Good and cheap laundry.
If you aren't picky and just need a place to stay close to Waikiki, this place could be for you. Food trucks and good great food steps away.

This place was left to die 30 years ago, including the AC filter. Pictures here and online are photoshopped. Look at Google reviews first. Everything is rusty, stained or broken. Fridge was broken, TV had to be changed, mismatched incomplete silverware, room smelled moldy and paper thin walls had us awake every day at 4:30 am with trash trucks every other day. It is not worth it, just spend extra $30 dollars and go somewhere decent.

The hotel is less than 2 minutes walk to the beach
It is literally in the middle just behimd the Hyatt Regency Resort.
The pool is wonderful with lovely greenery and lounge chairs and umbrellas.
Rooms range from small basic hotel type rooms to very large suites.
Prices ar very reasonable.
The Wednesday night 2 hour variety and hula show in the lobby/pool is presented free of charge with local volunteer talent. There are authentic Hawaiian songs and hulas. Audience is encouraged to participate.
The hotel is from 1940s

First the good: good location, good beds, good price, good a/c. This property was probably nice in 1950. Very run down, had to walk to the elevator through halls in desperate need of power washing- absolutely grungy; room was clean but everything old - sink was rusty and stained; rain gutter downspout through bathroom. All of us fishermen observed that if our wives were here, we would be going somewhere else.

Decent beds, great ac, friendly staff, fun small pool, great collection of former guests’ beach accessories, absolutely amazing location. The staff was very accommodating for just about everything.

The hotel is dated and not very clean. We gave our room a good scrub to feel comfortable. It’s a little gem for the price. I would come back again for a cheap getaway.

The location was interesting to say the least. Very dated, hole in the window and screen in the bathroom, too few outlets, to cable, sattelite or wifi, clock radio did not work. I suppose that seeing the price point, you get what you pay for. Front desk were very pleasant but the place needs some TLC. I am a Facility Manager for 2 golf courses and would make several changes that would elevate their offerings that do not require a ton of capital investment....hmmm...maybe a retirement idea for myself.

We found bugs in the bed after the sheets were changed and roaches in the bathroom sink and the kitchen. The pool was small. The only thing that we enjoyed was the area it was located. There was many restaurants and shopping.

The room was clean, everything that was needed for a stay in the heart of Waikiki. Staff was beyond helpful and amazing. Only down side was no parking but they offered valet services a couple blocks away suggested by the hotel, and was just fine, walk was easy and you got to explore the area more too! Would def stay again.

We had a kitchen and the pots and pans were great quality.

We enjoyed the Hawaiian concerts every Wednesday evening. Lots of history around the hotel explained.

The staff are very pleasant and accomodating..
We enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to all of Waikiki sites.

The hotel needs a total update. paint was peeling off the ceiling and walls and the room smelled musty. although the bed sheets and towels were clean, the rest of the room was only surface cleaned.

the staff was courteous but not helpful in giving information on things to do in Waikiki.
