Its only a block from the beach and other things, which was great. No hot water for kitchen sink or bathroom sink. Shower was fine. There was a Blood stain (?) on bathroom wall and door. Pull-out sofa bed mattress very uncomfortable. Everything else was fine.

There were a lot of problems with the room we stayed in. When I called to get them fixed I was told we had to be there because there was a dog in our room. This was not the case and I stated that. There was no hot water in either the kitchen or bathroom sinks, and there was no way for the bathtub to hold water as there was no plug available. I would not stay here again.

I like it has locked gates,
I don't like the sewer in kitchen was backing up and wasn't fixed for three days, even we called manager many times.
They don't change dirty towels, you have to wash them by yourself.

Honestly it was a great location and setup. The only issue is house loud it is in that area and how bright it is at night time in the rooms even with the curtains. It was also very difficult to get in contact, nearly impossible, with the property if you had any issues or questions

The place was very clean and new but it was also the space small and didn’t have lots of privacy. I never had any issue with the lock as mentioned by the other guest. I thought the system was very efficient.

Nice place with a full kitchen. It’s basically a one bedroom apartment in Waikiki. Walk to beach and shopping. Free parking a five minute walk away in one side of the street only. Can borrow boogie boards and other stuff that’s been left behind by others. Convenient. A bit sketchy neighborhood, on this street, which you can find throughout Waikiki. Kinda noisy neighbors at night, but overall a nice place.

Place was okay, the phone key system needs better service cuz it’s difficult to open the gates and door to get in. Our shower has mildew on the roof. Our oven was not clean, I had to take out the oven tray and sterilize it and scrub the old caked on food off before using it.

If the place is aspiring to be a 2-star rated property it is meeting its objective. Management/owner first reaction to any request is no: no to coffee (only place to say starter pack only), no to dish rack (I don’t even know how to clean dishes without a drying rack), and a digital key that takes multiple tries to work, no to 3 pm check in (again only place to interpret ‘3 pm to 1 am’ as proof 3 pm is not promised. Place is okay but quite noisy at night.

Great Value for Cost!

This is a great stay for anyone looking for a great deal!

PROS: really affordable and only a block from the beach. Everything else that close is was almost double the cost per night. Central to the beach, restaurants/shops and diamond head. Great location! Also has kitchen with fridge and small stovetop. We went to Costco and got some things we could put in the fridge and cook or prepare for breakfasts/lunches so you’re not spending so much money on every meal and ate out for dinner and few lunches. Place has air conditioning the bed was really comfortable. Had no problems sleeping! Staff off site but fairly quick to respond if you need help or an accommodation. Contact-less check-in and out very easy through app on phone!

CONS: no on-site parking (except for a few spots in front, located in the alley-way on Lemon Rd). We were lucky enough to find spots a few days on there close but usually you’d have to either pay for street parking or a garage nearby for the week. Because it’s a condo, there’s no new towels, toilet paper, etc. You’re on your own! They do have coin operated laundry to wash some towels if you desire.

Clean and simple

This is a clean simple place to stay! Half a block from beach and park, walkable to all of Waikiki.
Very clean and new interior. Kitchen had a full-sized fridge, microwave, stove, oven, coffee maker, and full sink! Perfect for simple meals.
Small but comfortable.
Street parking available for free within a 2-4 block walk. Just be sure to read all street parking signs!
No contact checkin and check out was very easy.

The property itself was ok. If you are looking somewhere to fit a budget. It’s very close to the beach as well. The rooms were alright. The location and safety was a concern. For a female that might stay there and have to walk down the street at night, not the best idea. I checked out early, the property issued a refund, trying to get the refund processed was aggravating because of communication issues between the property and orbitz.

Very cute, just over a block to the beach. Nice amenities in the unit. The only thing that would have made this flawless was the ambiguous parking over a 1000 feet away. If they would have been more specific with the Waikiki Banyan Parking. I would not have caught wondering around in the downpour, soaked trying to find parking.

Good lodging, but having recent maintenance issues

Have stayed here several times and found the lodging initially excellent, clean, good amenities, convenient location. However last stay was disappointing for several reasons: unit has a stove but no cookware/pots/pans provided, bedroom ceiling fan and light did not work, towel bar was falling off the wall and unusable. Really like this place and hope they can work on improving basic maintenance.

Uncomfortable but close to the beach

Overall, not a great experience. Value is the key word, not worth the room cost. Unfortunately this is registered as a hotel, but it's more of a serve yourself, room rental.

The GOOD: Proximity to the beach, cleanliness, and accessibility to the room. For a small room, it has most of the creature comforts you'll need for a nice stay. TV, coffee machine, good wifi, full sized fridge. Balcony, only it looks out onto an alley.

The BAD: No guest check in with a physical person, it's done through an app, so you better not have any issues with your reservation or the room. All communication with the hotel is done through a 3rd party messaging system.

\"Service\" is pretty much non existent. After the 3rd day, no cleaning services were present, and when requested, we were told we could have room cleaning done for an additional $59!

Our bed was a full size mattress, not the queen that was listed on our reservation. When we spoke to the property manager, Mark, he stated that the bed was actually a Queen. Nope. When we asked for a different room to match the accommodations we booked, we were given the room key to another room on the ground floor. When I opened the door, the room was fully occupied, and an angry guest came out and we had a small verbal altercation. I smoothed it out but the guy was pissed, as I would be if someone just barged in my room. There's clearly a disconnect from what hotels.com has on offer for this property, and what is actually provided at the hotel.

The property is placed next to a garage and the warehouse of Aston Hotel. There is LOTS of NOISE and ARTIFICIAL LIFGHT, ALL THE TIME, day and night. The light reflects into hotel rooms day and night as the separating distance is 1 m. So I had the impression that I was at north pole ,where the sun shines 24 h.
The sheets on the bed looked as if there were not changed after the last customer, with long black hairs left in between the sheets.
When nicely asked the cleaner to empty the garbagde bin, I was explained where to take it myself.
For the whole stay I kept the balcony glass doors covered with the drapes because of the proximity to the garage,where people were wondering all the time.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. And it wasn't chip.

Before you decide to stay here read a bunch of these reviews. I did and I still wasn't quite prepared for the experience. I think this is an excellent budget option for Waikiki. The room is clean and everything is fresh and new. The location is excellent for getting everywhere you want to go. It is very noisy. Cars, people, garbage trucks, all hours. Honolulu is a big city with noises this location cannot protect you from. Bring earplugs. Bring an eye mask if you're light sensitive. Maid service is by request only (we did not mind but someone else might). This is more like an efficiency condo rental than a hotel. Management is a half block away and only available by email prior to your stay. I found the email communications to be tedious and frustrating. Don't expect problems to be easily solved if you have any. Some suites are located near a huge laundry facility and the strong persistent chemical scent could trigger the chemically sensitive. Overall inexpensive, clean and convenient but smelly, noisy and non-service oriented. If all you are doing is sleeping, showering and storing your stuff so you can enjoy Honolulu it works as a money saver.

Staying at this place was probably the best decision my wife and I made on our trip to Hawaii. It is 1/2 block from the beach. There is an ABC store on the corner so you can stock up on groceries for breakfast or lunch. It is less than a block from Waikiki Beach Mariott which is a main pickup and drop off spot for any tour you may want. There is a Dole whip stand in another hotel a 1/2 block away. There are multiple restaurants on the same block with views of the beach. Lulu's and Tiki's both have great food, views, and service.

The check in and out is weird since they don't have anyone on site but after a little trouble figuring out how to get the OpenKey app working we were fine. We had never used that app before but once we got the code entered it was easy to share with my wife's phone and we didn't have any problems after that.

Our room looked like it had been recently renovated and everything worked. There are boogie boards on site for guests to use and an outdoor shower to wash off all that beach sand. There is also laundry available to use.

This place is priced ridiculously cheap for what you get and we would definitely stay here again.

Room description claims blackout curtains, please know the sliding glass door did have curtains but the other two windows do not. The window to the hallway had a bright light shining straight into the room. Both windows had screens and clear shutters that allowed not only light but the noise from outside can be clearly heard. The bathroom is very tight and small.

Quite noisy! Our room backed onto another hotel and their staff and deliveries were noisy. Cards for entry were finicky. They had cell phone app access also but being from Canada, we had no local service. Expedia explanation of the payment process was inadequate.

Really enjoyable stay. Lovely outside space. Great value for money. Well equipped but could really do with an iron in room all the time took a few days to get one from cleaner. Need a \"getting ready space and full length mirror\" by a plug gor straighters. Could do with another shelf in bathroom and a tad more kitchen prep space. Lovely apt though and we appreciated washing up liquid and basic condiments. Great location too. Thank you.

I stayed here with my significant other, my sister, and her boyfriend for two nights. Our suite had a room with a queen bed and a small kitchen, one bathroom, and an adjoining room with a QUEEN BUNK BED in it which I've never seen before so that was cool. The property was very clean and the room setup allowed us to have some privacy. The balcony was spacious and we enjoyed having our coffee outside in the morning. This hotel is only two blocks from the beach and on the quieter edge of Waikiki. Overall very happy with our stay, this is a great value hotel and I highly recommend for small groups!

The property was great - it's very close to the beach and zoo, cheap places to eat, and a short walk to shopping. The balcony has lots of room to eat, and the kitchen has nearly everything. Unfortunately, the service area of the hotel next door (north side) is very loud and running at all hours, so nighttime isn't very quiet. I'd still stay here again, though.

The first thing to understand about this property is that it is NOT a hotel. It is more of an airbnb, you are renting a furnished apartment. There is no front desk to call when you need new towels or clean sheets or more shampoo. you are expected to use the washing machine and wash them just as you would at your own house. You need to understand this. It is not a big deal, just something you need to understand first.

The location is fantastic! near the beach, food, shops, walk to the zoo, we even walked to the grocery store for some food.

There is no overnight parking here, but there is free parking about a half mile away. Again, not a big deal, just know this going in.

Our only issue was that our room backed up to a parking garage and there is activity all night long...bring ear plugs or ask for a room on the opposite side of the building. Second, there is a window without window covering and the light from the garage shines directly into to the room. The window is over a stove so it is probably a fire hazard for curtains, but maybe a shade on the outside would be helpful?

The patio was very nice. The bed was comfortable and everything is new and clean.

I would suggest to ownership to get a full length mirror. There is only one mirror over the bathroom sink so only one person can get ready at a time.

You simply cannot beat the location for the price!

First the good, the room itself was nice enough. We really liked the mobile app-based key. It worked well, but wonder what would happen if our phones had died while we were out and about around Honolulu. The room is in a great location. Close to many of the great parts of Waikiki including the beach and Diamond Head.

The building itself had no view of anything. It's off an alley. In fact, open the sliding door and you could almost step onto a parking deck. No need to have windows or a doorwall. There's no way you could keep them open without every driver seeing everything. It was also very noisy.

I would also hardly call these suites. They were standard hotel room sized with a tiny kitchen. Also, not being a proper hotel, it also lacked a lot of the benefits that come along with a 24 hour front desk.

We had to stay here for one night because of a last minute flight change by the airline and everything else was either sold out or very expensive.

If you're looking for a bed with no amenities, then this is your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
