We had a city view, no ocean was able to be seen, but it was in such a central location, made things quite easy to get around. A housekeeper Susan was one of the best. She really took care of us and all the staff members answered any questions we need Super nice people very accommodating that way. Of course, a little update in the hotel furnishings would be a place for them, but it wasn’t unnecessarily for us. We didn’t spend that much time in the room. We were there for the weather, the aloha spirit, and of course the food.

Fantastic last minute package to Waikiki. Hotel staff beyond helpful and kind. Room exactly as described - 16th floor partially obstructed ocean view. Perfectly acceptable for this solo traveler! Book with confidence. Centrally located in what felt like a safe part of Waikiki. Quick walk to shops, beach, and venue where my favorite band played 2 nights in a row!

the hotel was in a great location but is outdated. the showers are way too small and bathroom way too small. hotel needs work done to update. front desk wasnt very nice and didn't work with us like other hotels have done when having a late flight. charged 230.00 for late check out!!!! charged for everything even to hold bags.

The room was very clean, the housekeeping staff and other staff always greeted us when we passed by every day. Our room had a partial view although we were only on the 5th floor. But big plus of hotel is that is about a half block walk to the beach so that was Great!!!! Would recommend hotel if you don't mind older....our room included coffee machine, fridge and microwave....not sure if all rooms do but ours did! Would definitely book here again next time we visit!!!!

Partial view of the ocean. Very clean. Very small shower, I'm 6'1 so I'd say anyone 6'3 and up will have trouble with headroom in the shower. Pool is not great. Buffet breakfast option is decent. Overall if you're going to Hawaii on a budget, I'd say great choice but if you can afford a bit more I'd say do that.

We got partial Ocean view and it was magnificent. Parking was convenient. Enjoyed the game room on the second floor. Bring sound canceling headphones or White noise because Waikiki is quite loud early morning.

This was our third stay at the Waikiki resort hotel, the first being in 2016. while they have done some nice updating in certain areas, such as the new games room by the lobby and the buffet breakfast for guests, the rooms themselves felt old and in need of a 'deep clean'.

The staff are very courteous and all in all a good hotel.

The location of Waikiki Resort Hotel cannot be beat. It is just one block from Waikiki Beach, making it an easy walk to and from the hotel room. There are also plenty of nearby spots for snacks, drinks, and beach rentals within the surrounding blocks.

The hotel offers a variety of daily activities such as yoga, Pilates, and lei making, which adds a nice touch for guests looking for things to do on-site. There is also a game room that includes arcade games and a billiard table, which we thought was pretty cool.

Laundry facilities are available if needed, though we didn’t use them during our stay. One feature we really appreciated was the availability of fresh beach towels anytime we wanted to swap them out.

The staff were plentiful, helpful, and friendly with every request. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets, which we were very happy with.

Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

A big parking lot and multiple buildings blocking ocean view. A lot of noises from the construction crew and trash pickup trucks every morning and doors slammed around us. Nice area location to visit but it not noise proved

Hotel is in the heart of Waikiki but is old and dated. Breakfast staff were amazing every day and really start your day off right.
Front desk staff are no help at all other than taking your money. Called down for clean towels twice an hour apart and they never came. Had to go floor to floor to find housekeeping staff to beg for clean towels. TV was down for 3 days because they switched to a different provider. Every time we asked the front desk staff about things going on in the hotel or recommendation on they area they had absolutely nothing to say.

The ocean was visible from partial ocean view rooms. However, When we booked for a city room, the bath tub has black stains at the bottom. The staff was annoyed when I told her that we booked two rooms instead of one, after she gave us only one room key card. Apparently she blamed us that we didn’t tell her or confirm with her. The other staff was friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed our stay in general the ocean view was very nice. I do think that the hotel would benefit from some updating and renovating. Regardless, we did enjoy ourselves, especially the buffet breakfast. It was delicious. The staff is also very helpful and friendly.

Great location. Close to the beach and to places to eat as well as shops. Rome was clean meet room service was very considerate and helpful. Laundry room only has three washing machines and three dryers. The room had some mold in the corners as well as the refrigerator is way too small and hidden. There is no microwave in your room and there are two on the second floor. The people that took care of the baggage was amazing and extremely helpful.

Hotel is dated and has not had substantial upgrades in a long time. Sub par selections for television/ entertainment. Excellent location. Staff was cordial, pool is small and not very appealing, the gym was minimal. Breakfast was average but did not offer much for those on vegetarian or vegan diets.

The staff at this resort were great. The location is also great. The hotel itself is in need of renovations. The carpets are very old and a bit dirty looking. The rooms and hotel are quite dated. This is definitely more of a budget hotel and I've stayed at ones in this price bracket in Waikiki with this good of a location that are little nicer. Online we booked a room with two double beds but when we arrived there was only a King bed and a sofa bed. We are a family of four and my kids are not toddlers so sleeping in a king all together is hard and the sofa bed was basically unsleepable it was so old. We learned when we got there that our room category with the view we requested and the microwave and fridge only comes with a king bed. On Expedia it stated we had the option of either. The staff were very kind and gave us a single roll away so I slept with my kids on the the king and my husband slept on the single bed. It wasn't idea but the staff was nice about it and they had no other rooms to offer us that wouldn't be a downgrade. If it wasn't for the staff, who were great and accommodating and cleaned our room well everyday, I would give this hotel two stars.

The best part about this hotel is definitely the location, as it's just a short walk from the beach and central shops. However, the rooms are very average and starting to feel a bit dated.I was disappointed to find no bottled water provided, and the TV remote in my room didn't work at all. To make matters little annoying, the body lotion was never refilled by housekeeping during my stay. It’s a decent home base near water. May be I should have called the housekeeping but I was just looking for stay at night and we are more roaming around most of the day time.But given the price point it's okay. Hence 4 stars for the review.

The location of this hotel is the best! Just a 2 minute walk to the beach. The rooms are dated but clean. Refrigerator in room is VERY small and no microwave in room were 2 things for me that would have been nice improvements. Towels being provided for use at the beach was a great surprise. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room as we were enjoying all that Waikīkī and Hawaii had to offer.

Stayed with a Family of four and had a great time. We had a room with view on the Alohalani Pool with live music every evening. The Hotel is really old but seems to get maintained properly. The location was perfect for us with beach, public transport, affordable food options all very close by. Highly recommend we will probably come back!

Neglected room with poor upkeep, charges for parking and amenities and expects guests to “not take beach towels to California”. However, they lack customer service and maintenance to ensure the hotel is clean or aesthetic. My husband and I each had to wait 5+ minutes in line when there were multiple staff at the counter without any guests, I almost slipped in the lobby due to wet floor that had no signs and found a cockroach in my restroom that was not cleaned when reported.

Hotel room was dark and bath tub was small. Long wait for check in. Had to pay for luggage storage for a couple hours after checkout and it was cash only so we had to pay an ATM fee to withdraw it. Wifi was awful, the guest and the hotel wifi did not work and I had to keep paying for data. You can hear your neighbours loudly in the hallways.

The elevator make so much noise thats all you hear all day long in your room. Hotel lost power and could not make breakfast that was prepaid and refused to compensate for that day. This hotel is old and has no back up power for rooms.

The room only had one lamp , there was hair on my sink that was not ours like someone shaved the 200 extra resort fee is not worth it the pool smells the rugs smell the doors wouldn’t open right to come out to balcony it was horrible and then u don’t have any complimentary parking it’s 50$$$$ a night wow. They said we only paid for the room so u don’t own the resort fee is included once y get there and have. No option but to pay.

Overall the hotel was good. Rooms could use an updating. Table on the balcony would have been nice. Lost power a couple of time due to the wind storms and cable/internet was out for most of a day. Had to have staff come and repair it. Pool was closed for a couple of days because of the wind. A hot tub would have been a nice touch on the pool deck. Didn't feel like we got good value for the resort fee because of the outages but I relalize they can't control the weather.
