It did what it had to do. Walking distance to Waikiki strip, good location. A bit dingy, bed covers were very very thin they just give you a sheet. Towels you have to pay extra for only 2.50 but kind of annoying that it’s not included. Service was okay some staff were very nice others not so much. The rooftop is very cute and they have small events to meet other guests. Overall it was an okay experience.

The staff were very kind and made a sincere effort to keep the property clean. My friend and I stayed in a deluxe suite for four nights and had a comfortable, problem-free stay. The room came with a refrigerator, an electric stovetop, and basic kitchenware, and we appreciated being able to refill our water bottles in the main building — it saved us both time and money.
If I could make a small request, it would be to add hand towels in the bathroom. The two bath towels provided were enough for showering and for taking to the beach, but they were too large for simple hand-drying. Also, it would be nice if the air conditioning were a bit quieter.
Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay with great value for the price.

First time staying at a hostel I was a little reserved but my 19 year-old daughter convinced me it was fine and we had the best time!! Very Aloha spot! It’s more of an apartment setting, we had a three bedroom spot but our own room, our own key to that room which was nice. Simple layout, refrigerator and dinning table. Across the street is the main check in area with all the fun activities, so you get more peaceful setting when you want to rest. Easy check in! We checked out at 5am and it was smooth and someone always in the from to help, towels were $2 so you can save room in your suitcase. Great area, the beach is about 5 minutes walking. Coffee,food, and convenient stores are all walking distance too. We didn’t get a car but we did notice parking was pretty bad so wouldn’t recommend. We did however get an all day bus pass for $7, highly recommended.

Property owner is amazing. So good at recommending wonderful local places to eat and explore. Loved margarita Monday night on the rooftop. It was so fun meeting my roommates and many others staying. The facility was clean and secure. Coffee and cookies every morning and then iced coffee all day long. Cannot say enough about my first stay at a hostel. This one is definitely the place to try!!!

This is a great place to stay if you are solo traveling or with friends in Oahu! Will definitely be back and made some great friends along the way. I was in a four bunk co-ed and each room has its own bathroom. Perfect for everything I needed.

I had so much fun spending my bday at this hostel! The staff is very friendly. You can hang out with other travellers at the rooftop and the whatsapp group is very convenient to carpool. There are daily tours to visit the other parts of the island for a reasonable price.This hostel is located walking distance of the beach, shops, and anything you need while in Wakiki. Huge plus, you can borrow water sports gear (surfboard, snorkel, etc) and rent a beach towel for only $2. Overall, a great place if you are looking to mingle!

I stayed in a 4 person room with two bunk beds. I was on the top bunk. The room and bathroom were very clean and the mattress was comfy! Other guests were really respectful and kind and the staff were helpful and gave great recommendations for my one day in Honolulu. Big fridge and sink in the room, free coffee, and good wifi. One of my best hostel stays.

As a woman solo traveler, Id say prepare to be bombarded by the men at this hostel. I don’t know what it is, but there are more male travelers that come through than women and if you dont care to please men, they will irritate/ make you feel uncomfortable. The rooftop is a vibe, but the sitting areas could use some love and cleaning. The rooftop has the potential to be more fun with smaller board games and fun interactive games that should be led by the staff. The loud jenga on a rooftop is not the best because when it falls it sounds like a car accident. The whatsapp groupchat is helpful to meet friends and explore the island. They also have this cool bucket where travelers donate their left over products like sunscreen, lotions, snorkel gear. The men were my biggest issue. Theres no one making sure they arent predatory or hostile. So be careful here, other than that its in a great area and you will always have something fun to do. They have fun discount excursions too, I recommend doing it on your own to save money💫 aloha and mahalo

First time in a hostel so there was a learning curve finding out that you have to bring your own soap and towels. You can rent towels though so it wasn't too big of a deal. The thing that made up for all of it was the social aspect. Most everyone is down to hangout and do stuff

I stayed in the private room by myself. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, but you only get a sheet. The AC worked well but the only options really were freezing or hot. There was a dehydrated dead lizard in my window lol. But it staff did a great job cleaning the shared bathroom and shower. Staff were always friendly. The whatsapp was the best social experience I've had in a hostel.

The property is a 3-minute away from the beach, has a nice, young, healthy vibe, a great hot shower with perfect pressure (I stayed in a separate room with a shared bathroom/toilet, with a bunk bed), soft comfy mattresses, stylish sheets, free hot coffee in the morning, free floaties for the ocean, super secure (at least two locked doors plus a front door with a code leading to our unit); there are food trucks outside too with yummy dishes; when we reported a leaking toilet and an expired bulb light, a maintenance man came right away.

One of the few budget options in Waikiki and well situated for the beach and seafront area.We were in the annexe across the street,which has several small units crammed close together with shared bathrooms and fridges. We asked in advance for a quiet room but were given one adjacent to the shared bathroom, from where every sound was audible through the non sound proofed wall.People slamming the bathroom door at 4.30 am isn't exactly conducive to a good night's sleep- but other than that, the friendly staff and good location make this hostel worth looking at if you're on a tight budget. Alternatively spend more and get a decent 2 star hotel room, which is what we'd do if we ever go back to overpriced Honolulu.

Located close to the beach and shopping in Waikiki. Good food trucks along the same street. Each pod of the hostel contains 3 private rooms which share a bathroom and common area. If you’re for a place to store your stuff and crash for the night it is a very good option. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Socializing with other guests encouraged. They have free snorkel and surf equipment available that you can check out. But beware, equipment is free. One of our snorkels was broken and we had to clean the mouthpieces of germs and sand. Difficult and expensive to park - but that's just Waikiki. Front desk guy showed us free parking that was a 15 min walk away.

The staff was really nice and friendly, the roof top was a nice place to chill and relax, and the location is so convenient. You can walk to a convenience store, the beach, food trucks, and beach rentals all within a 15 minute walk. The only issue for me was the bunk beds kept squeaking all night long and the shower in our room was super small and hard to use.

The location was perfect for a light traveler. The room was generally clean and the bathroom seemed to be clean every day. Personal lockers were provided and I would say it is decent, but it was small to put your suitcase in it, just small items only. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. A shower towel was not provided, I believe they charged for the towel. I carried my own and used it. Overall, I would recommend staying here, especially if you have a light pocket and looking for cheap options to stay in Waikiki.

Fantastic, kind, personable customer service! It is a hostel and not a 5-star hotel, so little luxuries like fresh towels and mini soaps were not provided. However, you could rent beach towels for $2 (they were a little sour after use, likely due to the humidity) and you could borrow any of the water equipment for free check-out. There were also daily tours & activities for $30 to beautiful local attractions/hikes/etc. Definitely geared towards college-aged students looking for somewhere to crash and hang out. Enjoyed my time!
