I loved staying here. The beaches and pools were amazing. It had everything we needed and more! The Mai Tai's at Tropics Bar and Grill were so delicious to sip on while live music played in the background during happy hour!

Staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort was an absolute dream. From the moment I arrived, the warm Aloha spirit was everywhere—lush, tropical grounds, gorgeous beachfront access, and a huge variety of pools and dining options. The staff went above and beyond—every interaction was so friendly. I especially loved watching the sunset from the lagoon—it was pure paradise. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing escape, this is the place!

I booked with Expedia a king size bed and an ocean view. I wanted to see the fireworks! When checking in the hotel I was told I get an ocean view but 2 queen beds is all they had. We got to our room and it was nice but no ocean view. I paid extra money for an ocean view and I did not get it. I feel scammed from the hotel and Expedia because neither are willing to give me a partial refund for the difference in room price.
But actually I probably would not have stayed at the hotel if I couldn’t get an ocean view.

We had asked for 2 rooms that were closer to each other, while we were provided with 1 room around checkin time- the other room was not given to us almost 1.5 hrs later to the checkin time.

The property overall is good and the experience was great! But the checkin experience left a bad taste. With long flights and tiring journey, we expected to have our rooms available atleast when the checkin time arrives.

The amenities on the property were great and lots of shopping opportunities!! The pools and ABC stores were my favorites!! Overall had a wonderful time. Only bad experiences were with three very rude waiters in two of the restaurants. One on property and the other across the street in an adjacent restaurant. ABC became our choice for most food options due to those experiences, great people and very friendly. The staff at the hotel and activities were wonderful!!

This was my second year, staying at this property and the third for my boyfriend. We love this property so much that we decided to come back this year. The staff was always friendly. Our room was clean. Everything was open till late and the location you cannot beat. The only downside this year is we were placed in the tapa tower and the elevators are split in segments. Four elevators operate for the first set of rooms in the tower and the second set of elevators for the top half of the tower the elevators take forever and usually there is a long line all day, but other than this, our state was amazing. However, I definitely recommend this resort for anyone whether it’s your first time here in Waikiki or it’s your fifth year. The location is just so great. It’s close to everything and you have fireworks on Friday. Best seats in the house.

This hotel was amazing. It had everything on site, that we barely had to leave the resort. Between the Starbucks and the ABC stores, we had everything available when we needed it. This hotel also had some amazing restaurants. We ate at Tropics daily. The staff were all friendly for the most part. I would just be cautious of the Activity Center. My family and I wanted to book a tour to the Dole Plantation and were instead given an 8-hour tour of the island with only a 30-minute stop at the Dole Plantation. This really ruined our day as we had no time to do anything there but get an ice cream and leave. Monika spent about 2 hours making the reservations for 5 of us and conned us into a 2-hour time share presentation that we all had to attend in order to receive a discount. Unfortunately, she was not very clear of any of this, and we were left with a wasted day. Thankfully, we met a kind man named Cotton that was able to fix the issues she created and, although we weren't able to get our time back, we did get our money back and suggestions for a different tour to take in the future, All in all we had a great time at this resort between swimming in 3 different pools, the lagoon and the ocean.

The Hilton Hawaiian village is like your own island. Has everything. Less congested than the other end of Waikiki beach. With all the amenities and Aloha Friday fireworks show! I heard one guest say I feel like I live at a mall. Has its own lagoon. It’s great.

The hotel was in a nice location, but they nickel and dime for everything. They charge for bags and to use the microwave due to not any being in the rooms. There was also a hidden $700 resort fee that I had to pay upon arrival. The pools were always crowded. Overall experience was okay.

The hotel was overcrowded throughout our stay — the beach, pools, and even elevators were constantly packed. Food options both inside the hotel and nearby were also quite limited.

Another downside was the lack of a proper enclosed lobby or quiet indoor space where guests could take calls or handle urgent work-related matters. During bad weather, the main option was the mostly open lobby area, which was both crowded and not ideal for working or taking meetings. There are better options nearby at the same prices range.

Everything was great except when we arrived we did not get the room we thought we booked through Expedia. We chose 1 king bed with ocean view and had to go with 2 queens with ocean view. They were nice and gave us a corner room which was great, but just always know the type of room is never guaranteed I guess with Expedia. Also surprised everything closes early in my opinion (10pm), even the bar and adult pool and everything. As a night shifter that was a bummer haha.

I love it here, it’s my fourth time staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and third time staying in the Rainbow Tower. It isn’t perfect but overall it’s great!

There are many places to eat within walking distance, and the beach right outside the doors. The rooms are renovated and updated, staff is friendly.

Although appreciative of the waived resort fee and, apparently, upgraded suite we were very disappointed that the ocean view suite we booked was not available at check-in (not cheap and a long flight for this disappointment). It was my first resort stay and was OK, but evening/night lighting and uneven surfaces not great for persons with visual or mobility challenges.

I think it should be noted when booking that the hotel charges 20% gratuities with every check. Then asks for it again when signing. With the already high prices it should be told to you that you are paying additional gratuities if you want but that it has already been added to your bill.

Our room was in the recently renovated Rainbow Tower and it was very nice.
The extra touch’s, like the hooks for hanging every day items, the long dresser with Lots of storage, and the extra shelves above the fridge were very helpful for a long stay.
Housekeeping was very friendly and thorough.
It was a VERY busy hotel. And For as much as we were paying for valet…the guys were not very kind. One of them swore at my husband when he drove up to pick me up in the driveway…but there is chaos and no clear area to pick up passengers without doing valet parking. It doesn’t exist. We tried to utilize the side for taxis and got yelled at as well.
If it’s going to be so strict, there needs to be clarity on where people can drive cars up to load/unload, etc.

I’d give Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort about a 4 out of 5.

We stayed in the Rainbow Tower with an ocean view, which is definitely the best-case scenario and probably what pushed my rating closer to a 4. You’re right on the water and the views are beautiful. I can’t say I’d feel the same if I were staying in one of the other towers farther from the beach.

The biggest highlight is the location and access. The beach and pool setup is great, but it’s very crowded. Like, getting a pool chair can be a struggle unless you go early (before 8:30 AM). Same goes for the beach, it’s packed.

The pool bar is a standout though. Drinks are good and the staff and servers there were honestly great. In general, the service overall was solid.

The food by the pool wasn’t great, and the in-room amenities were a bit underwhelming. No robes or slippers, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash weren’t good.

That said, being part of Waikiki Village really makes up for a lot. Having easy access to places like ABC Store, Round Table Pizza, and Aoki Teppanyaki (which was really good) made everything super convenient.

Overall, it’s a fun, lively resort with an unbeatable location, just be prepared for crowds and a slightly more chaotic atmosphere.

Property boasted a waterslide…only open from 2-5pm….check in is at 4 and check out at 11 so would need to do some planning before or after check out in order to use amenities. Pools are smaller than what would expect for a resort boasting 22acres, it’s mostly storefronts. The grounds are pretty, what anyone would want for a Hawaiian retreat, but I was surprised to see the chipped paint, rusty utilities, and stale smelly pool undergoing remodel. My family is a default Hilton customer but our room did not look like it belonged to the Hilton brand and so unfortunately we won’t be staying here again.

The hotel was lovely but for the first time my jewelry missing from the room. I went to a time share meeting and when I returned to the room my jewelry was missing. I went to look cleaning guy who cart was at my door but he was no where in site. I finally found him but he denied seeing my jewelry. I have been booking my trip for years and this is the first time that i had my jewelry (open heart necklace and 14 k ankle) taking from my room.

The rooms were not 5 star standards, internet is slow, outdated room features, and no microwave. The amenities such as the pool was the best features of the whole property but even the pool areas had its downfalls with cleanliness and overcrowding. The parking is expensive and the gym was horrible. Not what I expected from a Hilton property.
