You can never get a place at any pool because chairs are saved with towels but no one ever sitting in them. Food was just ok sometimes tasted as though it had been sitting all day in warmers. Lots of high end shopping. We stayed here 11 years ago and a lot has changed for the worse. Our room was clean and furnishings were nice.

We upgraded to a room in the Rainbow Tower specifically for the view, and it did not disappoint. The room had a beautiful view of Waikiki Beach, and we were able to watch the Friday night fireworks directly from our balcony, which was a great experience.

The location of the resort is excellent. It is very close to the beach, with easy access to the pool area, and centrally located near many shops and restaurants in Waikiki. The staff throughout the property were pleasant and helpful, and despite the size of the resort, noise levels were minimal.

The room itself was decent but showed some minor wear. The bathroom doorknob was coming apart, which suggested that some maintenance could be improved.

Food options within the resort were somewhat limited, and the quality was average overall.

Overall, it’s a well-located resort with great views and convenient beach access, though the rooms and food could use some improvement.

This was my first time in Hawaii and I stayed at HHV Waikiki Beach Resort. Check-in was smooth, our room was clean, and we had a great ocean view. Restaurant staff and housekeeping were excellent.

Unfortunately, guest services and the front desk were the least helpful part of the stay. We weren’t informed about construction nearby, and there was constant drilling and hammering for several days. The lighting in the room was also very poor, and our floor’s ice machine was out of order.

A friend had flowers delivered while we were out, but the hotel wouldn’t accept them because the delivery driver wouldn’t pay a $3 delivery fee. Considering the $55 nightly resort fee, it seems like that could have easily been charged to the room. The flowers never arrived and no one seemed concerned about resolving it.

On our last day I dropped off stamped postcards at the front desk to be mailed. Later another employee told me they no longer accept mail there, and the postcards I had already given them were just sitting behind the desk.

Overall, our stay was okay — 3/5 — but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Fabulous location on the beach. Amazing ocean views and Diamond Head Crater views from our room in the Tapa building. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gym is awesome and I used it every day for the week. Food was good. Lots of options at the resort. Recommend the magic show at the other Hilton

Our room was clean and beautifully decorated. We had ocean views that were amazing. The view was so spectacular, that we didn’t want to leave the room. The resort has lots of options for dining and a great walking path for a morning workout!
Love this place and the location.

Loved our stay. Some staff, especially at the Hau Tree bar, was mediocre. One waitress was just rude. The Tapa bar, Christian and Mike were great! Shout out to them. Breakfast at Tropics was delicious, staff here all around was amazing. The beach umbrellas and chairs could use an upgrade, especially for the price, but the staff was good.

Nice property. Staff friendly. Room was great. Just know they charge your credit card more than once. Deposit is more than what's on the app. If you want umbrellas and chairs on the beach, you will have to pay. It's not included in the resort fees. Food was terrible. Just bland and no seasoning.

Nightly live music was great. Could be heard from balcony but was interrupted by the screaming children in the pools which was all the time. The grounds were beautiful with coi ponds and water falls everywhere.
The access to the ocean was lovely but had no lifeguard on the beach which was concerning and pools had attendants, not life guards. We were not allowed to play gin rummy by the pool since alcohol was served there. Departure luggage near rideshare was not available on a Monday. High end shops were in the village.

We’ve stayed at HHV many times and this time booked a two queen bed with a partial ocean view in the Tapa Tower. The room itself isn’t anything special, but it’s more spacious than rooms we’ve had in the Ali’i and Rainbow towers. What HHV really has going for it is the amenities and activities, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. It’s a paradise for families with young kids.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Hilton Hawaiian Village, specifically at the Tapa Bar.
My two children ordered two burgers and a side of fries. When we received the bill, we were shocked to see that 8 guests were written on the tab, and a 20% large party gratuity was added. This was completely inaccurate and unacceptable — there were NOT eight people dining.
When my husband asked to speak to a manager, the waitress, Theresa, who served my children, told us, “Oh don’t worry, I won’t charge you, I’m Chinese too.” That comment was inappropriate and unprofessional. This is not how billing concerns should be handled.
The following day, we went to the front desk to ask how to correct the charge. We were referred to the food and beverage manager. However, there was never a food and beverage manager available or anywhere to be found. No one seemed willing to take responsibility or resolve the issue.
This experience felt deceptive and poorly handled. Charging an automatic large-party gratuity to two children is unacceptable. The lack of accountability and management support only made it worse.
We expected better from a Hilton property. Unfortunately, this left a very negative impression on our stay.

The room conditions were very old, the rooms look dated, the hallway dated. Our air conditioning did not work properly. Our bathroom door was old and didn’t stay closed with out slamming it. The door knob was falling off. The rooms carpet is dated. Wouldn’t stay in that tower again.

The room was fantastic! It was clean and modern with a great view of the ocean and lagoon. Every staff member was super polite and friendly. Only issue I had was with the Friday Starlight Luau. The host started the night while there were quite a lot of people in the golden circle line, we couldn’t make out what he was saying. We felt they started without everyone being seated, like they started without us. For the 950+ bucks we paid, we didn’t like that feeling. Overall it was wonderful.

This is not the place you want to visit for relaxation and rejuvenation purposes. It’s crowded, long lines to check in, long wait times for the elevators and restaurants. The staff intimidate Lyft/Uber drivers. The Ocran view room really means a view of the Lagoon. Watch for hidden fees. The beaches and pools are crowded as well. It’s perfect for families and those with small kids.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is a great resort-style stay right on the beach. The property is large and feels like its own village, with multiple pools, a lagoon, restaurants, shops, and easy beach access. The location is convenient to Waikiki but not overly crowded. Rooms are comfortable, some more updated than others, and many offer beautiful views. Friday night fireworks are a fun bonus. Overall, a great choice for families or couples looking for a classic Waikiki resort experience. 🌴🌊

Overall, the room itself was good and the property is very nice. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, though at times the resort felt a bit restrictive. I do believe the property would greatly benefit from converting one of the towers into an adults-only section to better accommodate guests seeking a quieter, more relaxed experience.
A small but important suggestion would be adding clear signage at the hot tub stating that splashing is not allowed. That would help maintain a more enjoyable and calm environment for guests.
The food on property was good — quality and presentation were solid. However, pricing felt noticeably inflated. While I understand that costs are generally higher in Hawaii, it did feel like the resort leaned heavily on that narrative to justify premium pricing. Just outside the resort, similar better food and everyday items were often nearly half the price. Guests expect some markup for convenience, but the difference was significant enough to notice.
Service was mixed. The housekeeping staff was excellent — friendly, thorough, and consistent. Unfortunately, the main front desk staff came across as somewhat rude and less welcoming than expected, which impacted the overall first impression.
One area that really stood out was the noticeable presence of homeless individuals around the property perimeter. I observed several people walking near the resort looking for cigarette butts and lingering close to guest areas. I’m from Chicago, so I understand.

We stayed in the tapa tower. It was extremely clean, staff was wonderful and had great access to pool and the beach. The cost of all food and drinks is crazy high. We went to the ABC store everyday and got lots of snacks, sodas and water. On our last day we stumbled upon the Happy Snack Bar at the hotel next store and that was bar far the best find if you’re looking to eat and not go broke. We were traveling with our kids that never stop eating so eating at the resort restaurants for every meal was not an option for us. There were 5 of us and the junior suite was the perfect size. Can’t say enough good things about this place! Would definitely stay again.

That’s all scam when I booked it they show me a Hilton Rambo hotel, the one which is remodeled and with a better view when I checked it in, they give me a dirty ass old hotel, and I paid for ocean of view. All I see the other building and a little bit of ocean view and just tree.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed.. for how much this okace charges. You have an additional $55 PER NIGHT resort fee you have to pay which is for things like the pools ect AND $79 PER NIGHT for parking in their private parking garage which should be included in our stay.. we stayed 4 nights and all of the pools were closed for weather for 2 whole days.. yes it was windy but the pools most definitely could have been open!! All other resorts had theirs opened. We should have recieved our fees back for those 2 days and we did not.. in addition to this the HILTON doesnt have any microwaves in their rooms unless you pay for the timeshares with full kitchens..what hotel doesnt have microwaves?? NONE i walked all around looking and was treated like i was an idiot for wanting to heat up food. I had so much food my kids and i couldnt even eat, even a motel 6 has a microwave. I honestly would never stay here again. Rooms are very generic, queen beds were actually a \"full\" and so unbelievably uncomfortable even my 3 year old said her body hurt after sleeping on them.

I stayed at the kalia tower room. I think it needs to be more updated. Hawaii is beautiful and there are lots of entertainment and activities offered this hotel. I plan on coming back to Hawaii. However a different tower not the kalia tower.

Clean room. Let us check in early. Phenomenal view. Shopping center on site. Friday night fireworks. Onsite restaurants. A little difficult for Uber pickup because there are 3 buildings and rainbow tower was never a choice. Had to walk a couple of blocks for Pearl Harbor pickup, but not a problem for us.
