Found 2 roaches in the room and the sliding door did not lock. Shower head was not clean, tub was painted and the paint was chipping off. Wifi was spotty. Did not feel comfortable staying there, glad it was only for one night.

We love that it was near by every store and conviniences and near the beach. Staff was great , no issues. Rooftop access was neat and very memorable. Only issue we had was that we had alot of roaches in the kitchen/bathroom area throughout our stay.

The staff were amazing so I feel bad about the review but the place is not clean. I had a cockroach and little flies. But it’s cheap. Location is great. It’s just dirty. The carpets in the room weren’t even vacuumed. I truly would give this place a 5 star but cleanliness is a must for thing. Things can be worn out and still be clean. This was not.

The “ hotel” was outdated , dirty and had a moldy smell . They didn’t offer room service so we had full trash cans and no clean towels . The walls were dirty ,the shower was rusted with mold spots , no amenities , the shampoo , soap and conditioner bottles were half way full and etc . The property should be a motel and not hotel .

I really wanted to have a better experience here, but unfortunately my stay started off in a way that I can’t overlook. On my first night, the room I was given was in extremely poor condition. It was clearly unsanitary, with baby cockroaches visible in multiple areas, and with a bed that had bugs crawling on it and noticeable blood stains on the sheets. It made the entire experience feel very unsettling and honestly quite traumatic. I barely slept and spent most of the night feeling uncomfortable and distressed.

To the hotel’s credit, they did move me to a different room after I complained, and that room was significantly better. However, the damage from that first night was already done, and simply switching rooms didn’t feel like adequate compensation for what I experienced.

The one positive I can point to is the location. This hotel is very conveniently located to the beach and likely the main reason people choose to stay here. But beyond that, my experience was deeply disappointing. Even now, I’m still upset thinking about how that first night was handled and the condition of the original room. I don’t think changing my room really justly compensates for how gross my first night here was. I hope the hotel takes cleanliness and guest concerns more seriously moving forward.

$25/might resort fee was a joke...this is NOT a resort. Apparently the fee is for wi-fi, coffee and towels, which are usually included at no additional cost at other hotels. I would not recommend this hotel.

There will be roaches in your room, scurrying around on your bed, so just be prepared for that. Building is dark and dingy and the AC is so ineffective that the sheets constantly felt damp. You are getting what you pay for here. Also heads up on the daily $25 “amenity fee” that is undisclosed til check in and inflates the nightly rate.

recently stayed at the Ewa Hotel, and unfortunately, it was a major letdown. I cannot recommend this property for several reasons:
• Cleanliness: The hotel was overall very dirty. It felt neglected and poorly maintained from the moment we walked in.
• Pest Issues: To make matters worse, we discovered bugs in our room. This is completely unacceptable for any hospitality establishment.
• Poor Management: When we brought these concerns to the staff’s attention, they were indifferent. Our complaints were not addressed, and no effort was made to rectify the situation or move us to a sanitary room.

Laundry worked flawless amd kitchenette in our room worked great, though it was small. Would be nice to have more outlets. I genuinely wish I could give this place zero stars. Our stay was an absolute nightmare from the moment we walked into the room and saw cockroaches crawling between the glass and the table and also across the floor. Not just one — multiple. It was beyond disgusting. No one expects to pay for a room and end up sharing it with pests.

When we brought the issue to management, things somehow got worse. The manager was shockingly rude and completely dismissive. Instead of apologizing or trying to make things right, she hid behind the “non-refundable booking policy” ant first and refused to offer any kind of refund — even though the room was clearly infested. Her attitude made it very clear that guest comfort and basic hygiene are not priorities here. But in the end we fought against it and we did receive a refund, but only for nights that we have not used yet.

The only bright spot in this whole experience was the front desk staff. They were polite, sympathetic, and clearly doing their best in an uncomfortable situation. Unfortunately, their kindness couldn’t make up for the unsanitary conditions or the manager’s unprofessional behavior.

Save yourself the stress, the money, and the potential need to shake roaches out of your suitcase — stay somewhere else.

I was surprised at having to pay $45/night for parking. Most hotels have free parking. I felt this was a bit of trickery to say their room rates are lower than they really are. Also, the room was a bit cold and there was no heater.

Great staff, good water pressure in the shower, lots of cafes around, close to the ocean, they give you large beach towels that you can exchange as needed. Nice welcoming atmosphere.

It does only have one elevator for the whole hotel, so there is often a wait. And there does not seem to be a shared microwave for the rooms that don’t have a kitchen; adding that would go a long way, most similar hotels have a microwave on each floor. The lobby should be warmer, at times it was extremely cold to walk through. It’s an older building, and while the rooms aren’t updated at all, they are of a decent size. It is good to have carpeting throughout, it helps dampen the interior noise, that is much appreciated. AC worked well. Cleaning is on request, and they do a good job.

The staff was nice. The picture of the room i booked was a lot nicer than the room i actually received. The pictures looked light and airy but my room was rather dark and dirty. The room was very dated, popcorn ceilings were dirty and showed where repairs had been made. The carpet was dirty and the wallpaper was dirty and peeling in places. The place could use updates. And im surprised they dont replace the carpets with waterproof LVT flooring. I knew i was getting the \"economy\" room but either update the room or the pictures on the expedia website so guests arent suprised when they check in.The A/C unit was new and the water pressure was excellent. Maybe put in an shower head with adjustable spray options. The cheap one they had installed was a needle like spray type that felt like it could remove your skin.

Check in/out was simple and fast. The room was a standard room but perfect for what we needed. Took a quick weekend trip from the Florida over so our stay was only 3 days, didn’t need much and was gone from sunrise on. The view of Diamond Head was great from our balcony too. Don’t expect much but a clean room and bed to sleep in.
