The staff there was amazing! Super friendly and helpful. The building itself and rooms were old, out dated, had kitchen ammenities but I would not have trusted using the stove!! Also there were a ton of bugs that seemed to come out of the bathroom and kitchenette 😔 location was close to beach but there were definitely some sketchy people handing out in that area

• Cleanliness: The hotel was overall very dirty. It felt neglected and poorly maintained from the moment we walked in.
• Pest Issues: To make matters worse, we discovered bugs in our room. This is completely unacceptable for any hospitality establishment.
• Poor Management: When we brought these concerns to the staff’s attention, they were indifferent. Our complaints were not addressed, and no effort was made to rectify the situation or move us to a sanitary room.
• Cleanliness: The hotel was overall very dirty. It felt neglected and poorly maintained from the moment we walked in.
• Pest Issues: To make matters worse, we discovered bugs in our room. This is completely unacceptable for any hospitality establishment.

Staff was wonderful. Location was great. Parking was very limited. Older building and the age shows. Water pressure was amazing and beds were small but comfortable. Last interior update was probably in the 70s because of the popcorn ceiling.

Laundry worked flawless amd kitchenette in our room worked great, though it was small. Would be nice to have more outlets. Bedsheet kept coming undone during the night and those dang roosters could have let us sleep in a little longer.

And there does not seem to be a shared microwave for the rooms that don’t have a kitchen; adding that would go a long way, most similar hotels have a microwave on each floor. The lobby should be warmer, at times it was extremely cold to walk through. It’s an older building, and while the rooms aren’t updated at all, they are of a decent size. It is good to have carpeting throughout, it helps dampen the interior noise, that is much appreciated. AC worked well. Cleaning is on request, and they do a good job.

The staff was nice. The picture of the room i booked was a lot nicer than the room i actually received. The pictures looked light and airy but my room was rather dark and dirty. The room was very dated, popcorn ceilings were dirty and showed where repairs had been made. The carpet was dirty and the wallpaper was dirty and peeling in places. The place could use updates. And im surprised they dont replace the carpets with waterproof LVT flooring. I knew i was getting the \"economy\" room but either update the room or the pictures on the expedia website so guests arent suprised when they check in.The A/C unit was new and the water pressure was excellent. Maybe put in an shower head with adjustable spray options. The cheap one they had installed was a needle like spray type that felt like it could remove your skin.

Check in/out was simple and fast. The room was a standard room but perfect for what we needed. Took a quick weekend trip from the Florida over so our stay was only 3 days, didn’t need much and was gone from sunrise on. The view of Diamond Head was great from our balcony too. Don’t expect much but a clean room and bed to sleep in.

We booked a room with a king bed, but upon check-in, we were assigned a room with two double beds without any prior communication. We only discovered the switch after entering the room. When we returned to the front desk to clarify, we were told the hotel had overbooked their king rooms and one wouldn't be available until the following day. It felt very dishonest that they didn't mention this at the desk; had I not gone back down to complain, they likely would have said nothing.
Beyond the service issues, the property is dated. We found bugs and cockroaches in our room, and the noise from the construction site across the street made it difficult to relax. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

Rooms are clean, but you know it’s apart of history when there’s that wet smell. If you’re looking for something luxury. This isn’t the place but if you need to have a clean room to rest your head while traveling for the price it’s affordable. I think the rooms need a sprucing up but other than that it is a perfect place just to have somewhere to sleep. I enjoyed the one night I was there.

The air conditioning was the best part. Water stains in the lots of the carpet areas. There was a leak above our shower during and long after we ran the shower. Have video proof. The water fixtures were old and very oxidized. The “2 room suite” was a 1 bedroom suite with an adjoining second room where the double connector door was very in the way. 4. The window and bathroom required more thorough cleaning: there was mold and stains on the joints and corners, and the showerhead and door were quite dirty; I was able to clean part of the dirt on the door with a wet wipe, which indicates that the dirt is removable and not simply signs of normal wear.
5. The refrigerator and the area around it had leftover food and visible dirt.
6. The stove had a significant layer of grime and burnt residue, and an unpleasant smell came from inside it.
7. The fan was dusty, and the lamp had noticeable stains.
8. The hinge on the dresser door was broken, and the wardrobe rails needed repair, which I had to address myself.

I booked 4 person one room in the booking said 1 king size bed and sofa bed and I got 2 single bed and very very dirty very old sofa bed no bed sheet, no blanket. When I asked blanket they give me just very dirty blanket without cover it is was very bad. Carpet is old and dirty 4 days one time they come in clean. Super old hotel down a laneway with loud music coming from a night club next door. We got a suite to accommodate the family but because of lack of renovations and upkeep the rooms were musty and bathrooms had flies living in them. While showering the ceiling leaked from an old panel with calcium crust around it. Honestly I would have forfeited the $500 if there were other options available. Because this was over the holidays, the only options were $1600-$22,000 rooms left. I would have stayed an hour outside of Waikiki. I also did not complain the thr from desk as I knew there were no options available. I also did not notify the desk of the flies as they would have just sent up a maintenance person to spray the bathrooms with pest control. We ended up leaving all the windows and patio doors open.

The hotel was a bit more primitive than expected. However, all in all the staff was friendly and available when we needed anything. If you like quiet, this isn't the place for you. You can hear TVs in adjoining rooms; you can hear the chickens/roosters outside all day/night. We did have some excitement our 2nd night there with police activity but for the most part it remained under control, and we were not in any way concerned for our safety. So much stuff within walking distance was also a treat.

Don't mind the foodtrucks outside. Family flew from all over so we just wanted affordable and we scored with low price and got more than other moderate properties. Hotel has a rooftop deck for family meetings lol. Friendly staff, clean property surroundings, lobby area and parking garage. Room was clean with kitchenette which had plates and utensils plus a small pan for eggs. I was fine without daily maid service because we had wedding stuff everywhere trying to get decors ready. so just ask for fresh towels no problem. Really enjoyed showerhead water pressure and hotel shampoo and conditioner. We will definitely book for next family event. Again thank you to the friendly staff for always being available and accommodating.

Staff is GREAT. Hotel is clean & it IS JUST TWO BLOCKS FROM A BEAUTIFUL BEACH AND WALK... Room smelled of smoke when we arrived, but we opened the window and it cleared up. Laundry machines convenient (bring quarters, or get them at the front desk). Neighbors will play loud music.. oh well (I'm not a swifty, nor am I 'just a girl'). TV didn't work, but I was okay with that until I discovered the internet was spotty (by that I mean it doesn't work more often than it works; I don't buy unlimited data- I'm cheap; hence me going with the cheaper hotel). My issue was that when we get back from a beautiful day & evening out exploring the island and I want to unwind, there's no tv and I can't even play chess online (It's not like I was streaming or anything); the net really was horrible. If you have your own hot-spot / phone/ whatever that provides the data you want, this is a good stay... for me, it frustrated the ever-loving heck out of me (and yes, I asked for help a couple of times and the answer was that it just was down and they'd look into it). Hawaii is beautiful and it was a great trip; that was just my main frustration.
