What I liked about the hotel is that the space is easy to maintain. Each morning, provided a set of towels ( 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel). Would be nice to be provided 2 of each. Staff was helpful with questions. Common areas I felt could have been kept up a little more. Like hourly checks of cleanliness of wiping tables and sink areas in Women’s bathroom. I can also understand maybe staffing wise if short- but also I see it easy enough to maintain the lounge areas/ kitchenette.

I was able to store my food in the fridge with a sticky note; and food was still there. Fridge stays full though with the all of hotel guests using one fridge to store food. Wish there was more of a solution with how food is kept.

Room temperature in Business Class at least was fine. Noise was also kept at a minimum. Requested and did get a corner space, which I’m glad I did. Nice to look out the window towards Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach.

Sign up for laundry- remember if you want to do so, sign up earlier in your stay. I was given option for 2am or 6am to do- but it worked out doing it at 6am.

Locker usage- I believe the lockers don’t lock very well. When I locked it after putting code- if you even moderately try to open- the locker pops open :/

Showers were not the cleanest. Wish there was more available cleaning products to clean the showers and also usually have my own shampoo/Conditioner and the provided conditioner was out. Overall, I’d stay there again.

It was mostly what I expected. Staff was excellent! Guests were GROSS! Nobody knows how to clean up after themselves! The ladies room and ADA bathrooms were so nasty that I had to wait till the cleaning crew were done to get a shower, otherwise I'd find: dirty towels (laying on floors, hanging in showers, over flowing hampers), muddy footprints, sand, hair clumps (in shower and sink drains and all over floors). The refrigerator and kitchenette was an excellent perk. Unfortunately, there again people are gross!! Refrigerator was so overstuffed at times that the doors would not stay closed properly. Although, I have to admit it did seem to rotate with the guests. The microwave had stalactites and smelled awful when used. Some guests had problems with their 1 available washer/dryer combo. Definitely not a perk! I dropped my laundry to be done elsewhere. Sauna was nice but not run well (definitely need to bring staff up to speed on proper set up). Air seemed good, kept cool enough but the addition of fans to move the air, especially within pods would be appreciated. Absolutely 💯 loved the location and view! In essence, it's an upgraded Y or hostel. The 1st class pod was roomy and comfortable for 1. People were mostly polite/quiet in this area and I slept well with my headband style headphones playing TV. I do still wonder about the guy that seemed camped out in the main lounge area the first 2 weeks I was there. It was creepy as he watched everyone or slept there.

Cons: 1. The sink faucet had an extremely weak water flow. very limited water came out, it was touch-activated faucets, so if you didn’t trigger it properly, the water stopped completely. Washing your face there was incredibly frustrating. The water flow was weaker than a pee stream. It really made me feel like the place was being excessively stingy about water use.
2. The shower pressure was also extremely weak. You could hardly get properly clean, especially after spending the whole day sweating and covered in sunscreen. When you actually want to wash yourself thoroughly, it’s almost impossible with such low water pressure. The strict limitation on water usage really showed. We paid to stay here — the water isn’t free for them either, but it’s not free for us to stay here.

3. There might at least fifty beds, probably more, packed into the dorm room. With so many people crowded together, the room temperature was set extremely low and it was freezing inside. Some travelers even caught colds and were coughing throughout the night.

Great establishment. Had first class. The capsule was great I just didn’t like one thermostat to control temp for all rooms, the mattress was basically non existent even though I had first class and I msgd staff about my rheumatoid arthritis. Maybe that was the best they could do, not sure but regardless the extremely thin mattress caused my hips to ache after the second day (I stayed 4 days). The absence of volume from personal tv was a shock as well, you can only hear if you connect Bluetooth headphones to tv. I understood the policy that since we were sharing spaces reduced noise was considerate and I 100% agree. ..it was just a shock to me and glad I brought both wired and wireless headphones. Showers, bathroom, & kitchen/lounge areas weren’t the cleanest (3.5/5) but it’s a hostel set up. They can’t constantly monitor / clean up behind adults.

Oh also a great perk is that they will store your luggage ($10/$15 can’t remember) , allow late check out charged by the hour ($30/hr), and will let travelers use amenities for a fee and you don’t even have to have a room there. ..a great place to lounge to pass the time.

A neat and clean place to stay for a short visit. The only suggestion I have is since the pods already have a curtain, to have some sort of lock so that we can keep our belongings safe. It's a pain to have to go to the locker every time.

This was one of the most unique places I’ve stayed yet. My pod was located on the bottom so if you have problems with your knees you shouldn’t stay here. But it was comfortable and clean. They make sure you have a clean towel every day. They make your bed and wipe things down. The showers have shampoo and conditioner and body wash in every stall. The toilets have bidets and the option to warm your seat. Very fancy! They also have single steam rooms although I did not use one. The common kitchen area was well lit and a nice place to have your meal. There was coffee every morning and tea if you wanted it. The only thing I found that was a problem was the refrigerator. I stood there 4 days and it was packed with left overs the whole time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoyed myself. It was very affordable for Waikiki.

Review is regarding laundry availability. There should be more options for this service specially the location is close to the beach. There is no area to store wet clothes so your only option is to have your clothes laundered asap. The walk to the nearest laundromat is quite a ways from the bldg.

First Class - poor air circulation especially with the blind down.
Only takes 1 or 2 unkempt to make the toilets, basins and kitchen not so clean but nasty. I recommend a proactive approach to promote the idea of Japanese style ideas of cleanliness and other appropriate mannerisms. After all we are there for the Japanese concept. Hope to return to 1st class again.

Eveything there has a code to access everythijg. Ot wveryone is allowed into the premises which is anplus. A very good place to just sleep, take a shower, and relax of you have a long layover or just staying a nignt. They provides shampoo, soap, conditioner, tooth brush with tooth paste, and a place to blow dry your hair or need to put make up, hence I am a girl. This is my second time come here and they did not disappoint. The area is pretty central so there are alot of restaurants to choose from to eat, shopping, and even walk to the beach. I love it and I would recommend staying there again.

So cold I could not sleep at night! I had to wear all my clothes and wrap my body in towels to try to stay warm. Mattress so hard it was painful to sleep on. Shared fridges were disgusting. Bathrooms always seemed dirty.

My stay was terrible. There were human feces left on the toilets and bloody boogers on the bathroom walls. I tried contacting the manager and was given the run around for 4 days. The beds were hard, they only gave me 1 pillow and they \"found\" an extra one. It was so cold my clothes were always damp and someone's alarm went off 2 nights in a row at 3:30am, which wasn't turned off for about 15 minutes. My last night there, someone's alarm went off at 5:30am, which wasn't as bad, but still. The washer/dryer was out of order, the lock in my room was missing....I could go on and on and on but hey, what's this review really going to do, apparently people LOVE this place. Still haven't gotten a call from the manager.

Pics are deceiving. The beds are so hard that I could not sleep the four nights that I stayed here. I paid $50 USA extra a night for the first class room thinking the bed would be better, but after I upgraded, was told the bed matresses are all the same. They could not give me an extra duvet to put underneath me because they don't \"have any\" which I find hard to beleive. I had to fold my duvet into 3 and sleep on it but still was very uncomfortable. The AC is blasting cold air at night regardless of the weather outside (it was mild while I was there) and I had no covers other than my own personal towel. There is a space above the closing door and a light that stays on all night shining directly into the room, which is distracting. You cannot turn on your TV or talk on the phone in the room even during the day. The walls are so thin that you hear every movement and door opening even on the other side. When I inquired about the first class room over the phone, I was told that there is a seperate bathroom and shower area for first class. That is not the case.

The common areas are constantly dirty: kitchen, toilets and showers. People don't clean up after themselves and I never saw any cleaning staff throughout the day cleaning the common areas. The economy \"room\" is just a small bed and you can't even stand up straight in room. The business room is the same size but with standing room. The first class room is half decent but still not worth the price I paid.

For the uninitiated it may be a little daunting, but I found the pods to work out very well. They have about the same feel as using a berth on a boat. You have a locker for your stuff and everyone stays pretty quiet when in the sleeping quarters. I have absolutely no complaints during the 2.5 weeks I stayed.

I would, and may, stay again.

You should only use this service if you can guarantee you won't get sick. The tight, close quarters requires 24/7 cleaning service, especially to prevent the spread of infection. The cruise and \"freshen up\" guests coming in and out, add another dimension of hygienic issues.
The staff itself tries their best, they were polite and mostly professional, but it's not the staff, it's the concept. I stayed in one in Japan, but it was designed differently and, 100 times cleaner..The public spaces, especially the kitchen and fridge need constant tending.

The only down part is that some people have no respect and will be loud during sleeping time and if you light sleeper like me, you will be tired throughout your trip. There is nothing blocking any noises.

Quite place in perfect central Waikiki. From the airport HNL, i took a public bus “W” line for $3 one direction, than walked about 5 minutes.

The pod room was awesome, omg, so roomy, u get slippers, towels, toothpaste/toothbrush. Awesome flat screen tv, easy to use. Pod had a place to lock up vaulted items. Wow on bathroom and shower areas, toilets have water to clean bottomand front and heated. The shower/ vanityy area had curling iron and blow dryer. Q tips and makeup pads. So cool.
