Counter person staff was excellent. He assisted us the best he could. Hotel is rundown outdated room looked very worn out stained and patched was in the room. First room was changed due to Internet did not work on that floor. Second room the view improved, but the quality of the room was the same. What they call breakfast there's no point in paying for it cause it's a free-for-all. I think people are walking in from the streets also, it's taking place outdoors.. Breakfast consisted of bread for toast, cereal, milk, coffee, refrigerated, apple apples, and bread rolls. That's it not at all impressed. We were able to cancel the second night and moved on around the corner found a great place for half the price. I would say do your research and stay away from the oasis hotel..

This place is terrible for a family w kids. Check-in was easy but I immediately knew something was wrong. The property is a complete misrepresentation of the online ad. Their online advertising shows a lush beautiful clean lobby and entrance but it was actually old and dated and felt like sticky stagnant airs The room stinks of cat urine and mildew, and the carpets are stained. The bathtub, praised online, doesn’t hold the plug, so a bath is impossible. The tub has stains, tacky caulking, and water damage in the bathroom floor tiles. The walls are dirty and old, and the couch is flattened from overuse. The furniture lacks decorations, as shown in the online photos. The curtains and pillowcase are stained, and the floor feels dirty and filmy. The keycard didn’t work, preventing access to the front gate. The kitchen window is dirty and has water damage that someone tried to cover up with cheap wall paper that is now peeling off. The place smells worse than Motel 6 and feels cheaper. Clubbing and partying outside kept us awake all night. The noise finally died down at 4am right when the morning birds started to sing. The coffee table is chipped and peeling, and a huge cockroach was found near the swimming pool. The swimming pool is tiny. The Oasis catfished us with fisheye lens cameras in their online photos. The smell of mildew and cat urine kept us awake, and my toddler coughed all night because of the mold. Unless single, young, and low expectations, stay away!

The hotel was overall satisfactory, but it could use a little updating and a fresh coat of paint to feel more inviting. Breakfast was fairly basic, though the coffee was pleasantly good and there were a few standard options. The real standout is the location — it’s incredibly convenient, with easy access to attractions, dining, and transportation. With a bit of modernization, this place could be a great value for a comfortable stay.

Clean spacious room, kitchen and living room. Open space. Not very new and modern but clean and nice. Lobby is outside, very pretty. Pool is small, breakfast was not good. We had to pay additional $45 per night for valet parking.
I would stay here again.

Our first experience at Waikiki, and we did not care for it. The streets were so crowded the night we arrived, it took us a little over an HOUR to traverse the last 8 blocks to the hotel. The noise from the street, including amplified thumping dance music, amplified shouting, motorists, and general mayhem continued until around 4 AM, making it impossible to sleep our first night (Saturday).

Also, the air conditioner in our room did not work, so it was about 80 degrees for our entire stay. Even after the Saturday night event was over, the room was noisy and not well insulated from the street sounds below, even on the 8th floor! A mysterious intermittent sound of a jackhammer in an adjacent room turned out to be the sound of the elevator operating...so that turned out to be a constant annoyance all day and night.

The front desk staff all did their best to be helpful and friendly, but they could not make up for the noisy, congested location of this hotel.The cleanliness of the hotel was acceptable both in our room and the common areas. The \"continental breakfast\" was worse than most I've experienced, even at Motel 6 in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure the Oasis Hotel folks are doing the best they can in a highly competitive and super crowded city. Most of the issues (apart from the non-functional AC) were due to the location. Of all the places in Hawaii we visited this year, Waikiki was the least enjoyable. It's crowded, touristy, gimmicky, and trying way too hard to be LA.

Oasis is not a 5 star hotel but it's excellent for the price. The location is fantastic. The staff are great. The rooms are dated but always clean and nice. I've stayed there are few times and have always been satisfied. If you want to save a couple of bucks and have a great experience this is where you should stay.

The first room we checked into REEKED of mold and mildew. It was bit of a headache tying to get the issue rectified, but after back and forth a few times they finally moved us to a new room, but that one had issues as well.
It wasn’t very clean, the shower constantly leaked and the toilet randomly flushed on its own. Still mold in the shower, one of the AC units didn’t work at all and the other one barely blew cold. I was appreciative of getting out of the mold ridden first room, but this whole place needs to be cleaned PROPERLY and updated tremendously. Remove all the carpet from the rooms and lay down vinyl flooring would eliminate the first issue with mold. I do not see myself staying here agin.

The property is 2 blocks from main Waikiki street. Not much around hotel to explore until walking on main road with shops, restaurants, etc.
The hotel is outdated but the staff make up for it in service and efforts to accommodate requests. Small pool and sunning area with no room service nor bar on premises.

We loved our stay, the hotel had everything we needed and the location was good, close to many good places to eat and shopping. It would be great if the rooms were cleaned more regularly. Some nights we had quite a bit of street noise, but we were grateful that our room was on level 6 so the noise was tolerable.

There was mention a continental breakfast and at the place was basically nothing to eat and breakfast was called “Simple” breakfast. If I knew the price will be that high I would never choose this hotel also the pool was very little no possibility to make few tempos.
I would pick a nice hotel rather with NO breakfast and no pool for this price.
I did not sleep even one night an AC was too loud and uncomfortable pillows I slept on and I asked to change it but I had to go back another day to ask why no one did it an requested again.
There was also no breakfast to go I kindly asked even for a fruit or coffee night before no option.

I read past reviews and checked out the hotel’s website. I booked this hotel thinking it was at least a 3 star boutique hotel. I normally love boutique hotels but not this one! The pictures on the hotel’s website are misleading. The pool is the size of two large hot tubs put together and the sun never shines over the pool due to the pool location. This hotel is very outdated and needs renovations to the rooms. The one bedroom suite description is misleading. One bedroom is really a bedroom with a sitting area, the only thing that separates the bedroom and the sitting area is a shutter style partition like some closets have as doors. The hotel doesn’t really need to update all the furniture in the rooms because some of the furniture has a midcentury vibe. The hotel needs to replace the carpet and couches. They need to a complete renovation to the kitchenette area and bathroom! The pictures in the gallery on their website is not at all what our room looked like. It’s a pretty good walk to the beach but doable if you don’t have a lot of stuff to take to the beach. They advertise beach chairs available to use but they are the 15.00 tiny beach chairs. An adult doesn’t fit well in them and they don’t recline. The keycard to access the room never worked, I constantly had to get a new keycard. Keycard wasn’t ever near a cell phone. If you prefer to stay somewhere nicer than a super 8, motel 6, or a dingy best western than don’t book this hotel! Positive - Staff very nice and caring!

This is our second time in staying at this lovely hotel. Really felt for them as when Kona Low turned up all the staff pooled together and got through the endless chore of removing excess water and other problematic areas. But they never moaned and just got on with it. The hotel really have an amazing team. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a kitchenette it was great, did not use much of the utensils but they were there if we needed it. The ladies who looked after the cleaning of rooms were fantastic and did a brilliant job. We prefer the rear of the hotel. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Waikiki, perfect for any tours, shops, restaurants etc. Hope to make another visit perhaps one day.

The Worst Hotel Experience Ever: Oasis Waikiki Hotel

I need to be completely transparent with everyone about my experience at the Oasis Waikiki Hotel—it’s genuinely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. To say this place lacks basic amenities would be an understatement.

First off, the description you see on Equifax is entirely misleading. There is no furniture on the balcony, and the room itself is outdated, dirty, and rusted. The lighting is a joke; the lights flicker constantly, making it feel like a scene from a horror movie! The shower head is stuck facing downward, and despite my efforts, the adjustment knob is completely unmovable.

Be aware, the room does not come equipped with a refrigerator or microwave unless you specifically request them, which feels inconvenient and irritating. To make matters worse, I noticed tiny bugs scattered throughout the space. This hotel's decor and amenities scream \"outdated.\" Make sure to bring your own chargers since there are no USB ports available in the outlets.

As for breakfast? They offer a sad selection of bread, cereal, and pre-packaged cups of fruit that resemble toddler servings from Sam’s Club—definitely not fresh!

Do not be fooled by the glossy images on their website; they are far from reality. If you are visiting Hawaii on a budget, this might seem like a good option, but prepare to be nickel-and-dimed on everything! For instance, they charge $45 per night for parking—outrageous. Instead, park at the Hyatt nearby

The staff was very nice. The plumbing was bad. The toilet did not flush well, and the sink did not drain well. They brought us towels when we asked for them and took away our trash when we saw someone in the hall collecting it. The room was supposed to be cleaned every 3 days. We were there 6 days and no one ever came.

The photos on Expedia were very misleading, room is older and in rougher shape then shown. The room also had a very musty smell. When we asked to switch rooms thinking it may have just been that room, we were told by the gentleman working that they were sold out for the night and would try and do something the next day. We never heard back. On a positive note breakfast was great and the front desk lady Aaliyah (I think that’s how it’s spelled) had great customer service and was always in a good mood.

Friendly staff and the valet parking was excellent. Unfortunately, the room and services didn’t match what was advertised: photos looked much better online, housekeeping wasn’t daily (only once during our 6-night stay), breakfast was very limited, and the room had odor/cleanliness issues (dirty curtains, stained sheets, worn furniture, ants). Because of that, I wouldn’t stay here again.
