Here’s a polished rewrite:

Our room appeared to have been unoccupied for quite some time — dust had accumulated throughout, and I woke up itchy after sleeping in the bed. The bathroom was particularly misleading; the online photos present a clean, modern space, but in person it was dirty, with poorly maintained grout and visibly rusty shower doors. The overall feel was dull and dated, a far cry from the fresh renovations advertised on their website. To top it off, parking was a nightmare to navigate, and the map provided was no help whatsoever. We won’t be returning.

Overall everything was great at the property, except the pipes in the bathrooms on the 4th floor would make a high pitch ringing noise everytime we would use the toliet or turn on the shower or sink in the bathroom, and I could also here the surrounding rooms bathrooms making the same noise.

Place a bit old but still big enough for 3 of us. Need to fix and upgrade the bathroom and shower. Old and have a mildew smell.
Otherwise all good. Lots of walking. 1-1/2 block away to all the bus stop

Room isn’t very clean, but front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful. They’re very grateful and awesome people. Room is with kitchen to make your homemade meals and chai tea. That’s one great thing you won’t miss your meal on time inside your room. We saved lots of dollars and time to get anywhere and the beautiful gorgeous Waikiki beach in 9 minutes

Located at Kalākaua Ave which is kinda like the strip in Waikiki. Next door is the Hard Rock Cafe & Tommy Bahama store/restaurant, more shops and restaurants. Short walk to the beach! You can borrow some beach chairs and beach towel at the front desk. Not much of a lobby but efficient enough. Hotel is not crowded probably due to being a small property. Room was a bit small, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was more spacious and clean. Did not use the kitchenette.

The hotel is in a good, central location. It is a little shabby, needs updating. A positive is that the bed was very comfortable. The pillows were lumpy. The bathroom smells of mould and the shower tap fell apart. The staff were obliging and helpful. The air-conditioning and TV worked well.

Grounds and areas around the Hotel are pretty.
Some of the furniture at the pool needs to be replaced, it’s broken down.
Our luggage rack was broken and the bathroom mirror wasn’t cleaned.
Otherwise nice room and air conditioning!

If you want a great location with no view of the ocean this could work. Carpet in rooms smelled like mold and strong cleaner, shower still had hair on it, refrigerator was noisy, street noise if your room is facing Kalakaua. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, just a sheet with a thin blanket on top. Just overall dingy, grimly. And by the way, if you have a car, you have to call ahead of time to make sure that you have a parking spot when I arrive. There was no parking available and I had to call to see if there was any parking available at the post office around the corner across the street $56 for one night of parking. I feel like the hotel should pay the difference if they don’t have parking available for their paying guests, the whole thing was just weird and strange.

This hotel was on the cheaper side for Waikiki beach hotels however for us the location was A+. We arrived mid-morning after an overnight flight and whilst check in was not officially until 3pm, reception was really helpful in getting us into a room early, a real positive. The beds were super comfortable, and aircon really did the job. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked things but often found wanting when it came to questions around activities. We had 3 rooms in our group all with kitchenettes but were not consistently equipped. Our room had a distinctive odor within the bathroom and whilst clean needed some attention. A real disappointment was the pool; it appeared that it had not been cleaned in a while and was no surprise when it was closed in our last days.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here for the price paid comparable to other hotels in the Waikiki beach area.

I had a really disappointing experience at this hotel. While the location near the beach (and being in a generally nice area) was a plus, it does not make up for the condition of the property.
There was mold all over the walls not just in the bathroom, but even along the bedside walls. The wallpaper was peeling, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable.
The hallways had a heavy, moldy smell that made it clear this wasn’t just an isolated issue in one room. It felt like a larger maintenance problem throughout the property.
The laundry situation was also frustrating. The laundry area was essentially outdoors, and there were mosquitoes and bugs all around. To make matters worse, we had to wait for staff to finish using the machines before we could even start our own load.
There was no breakfast offered, which added to the feeling that the amenities were very limited. Overall, the hotel felt like very low-quality accommodations despite being located in what is otherwise a higher-end area.
To be fair, the staff seemed to be trying their best with what they had, but that doesn’t change how disappointing and misleading the experience was.
Another frustration was the lack of transparency about parking. It was not clearly stated that parking is not included with the room. Instead, you have to pay extra and park about 0.2 miles away, which was very inconvenient.
Overall, this stay did not meet expectations at all, and I would not recommend it unless major improvements are made.

i recently stayed at this hotel and, overall, had a positive experience. The hotel's ambiance was inviting, and the staff was generally courteous and helpful. The location was ideal for exploring the city, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. The room itself was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a relaxing space to unwind after a busy day.

However, there were a couple of issues that need addressing. Upon arrival, the shower was not properly cleaned, with noticeable hair and grime. Additionally, the mirrors in the room had smudges and appeared not to have been cleaned recently. I reported these issues to the front desk multiple times, but unfortunately, no action was taken until I spoke directly with the cleaning lady. She promptly resolved the problem but mentioned that we shouldn't expect too much since it wasn't a 5-star hotel, which was a surprising and unprofessional comment.

Despite these cleanliness concerns, I would consider staying at this hotel again, as the other aspects of my stay were enjoyable. However, I hope management takes these issues seriously and ensures that all rooms are thoroughly cleaned before guests arrive. Addressing these issues would elevate the guest experience and make this hotel a top choice for travelers.

The location is perfect. You are in walking distance of beaches, restraunts, shopping. Rooms are a bit tired looking, but comfortable. \"Kitchenette\" was a big disppointment. One pot, one pan, one spatula. Quite difficult to prepare a meal with those few items, a mini fridge and no counterspace. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. If you have a flight later in the day, they will hold your luggage after you check out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Polynesian Residences. Location is amazing right by nice stores, Fort DeRussy beach and cool malls. Staff was courteous, very kind and helpful. Our room was cleaned regularly. We had complimentary beach mats and beach towels daily. The lil kitchen had all it needed to make our meals. We will definitely return.

I checked in after 11pm and checked out before 7:30am. Why do I need to pay a resort fee and why is it a surprise?? Why is it not transparent in the online fee. This is kind of a scam and not appreciated

Very friendly staff and great service. The property and hotel were clean and well taken care of. Good location, within walking distance of everything. This hotel is very hard to find, it is tucked in between some shops with very small signage that blends in. We drove passed it twice had to call and get directions, I didn’t listen as well as I should have and had to call back a second time to find out that it was 4 shops down from the unloading zone. The hotel is on the older side with cosmetic updates, there was a very strange unpleasant smell on our floor, the second floor, that was being masked by plug in air fresheners, unfortunately they weren’t working very well. Older beds that were on the stiffer side, tolerable for a short time but by the 7th night we were definitely looking forward to our own beds. For the price I would probably stay again if I wasn’t going to be in Honolulu for an extended stay.

We really enjoyed the location and the unit, for the most part, was good. The unit was clean, parking was great, loved the walkability to the beach. Very nice that things like beach chairs, umbrella, etc.were included.

There were a few issues like incorrect/outdated communication about the amenities (we missed being able to use those amenities for the first 2 days, leaving us only 3 days to utilize them), inability to access tennis/pickleball courts due to a missing key, ceiling fans broken or not working properly. These issues were very disappointing.

Older hotel which is ok but this did not seem well kept. Shower was moldy, wires were hanging out of the wall in a corner of the room, etc. we stayed one night and switch to a different hotel. This is a lower priced hotel in Waikiki so we were not expecting 5 star but this was a little rough even for that.

The rooms were great, we appreciated the cooktops for making food in our room. The beds were comfortable. There was a smell of marijuana smoke coming through the air conditioner from the street below. It was also very noisy at night, car horns and loud music. Parking is a walk away, but that was fine for us. If that doesn’t bother you than it is a great place to stay.

There was trash left in the room and was not seeped.then when I got the room on day three of my stay the room smelled like poop.very time we went into the room that is all you can smell and when we got to the room on the first day the toilet was not cleaned I would not stay there again but the staff was nice
