The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. It's a short walk to the metro station and we were able to get into the centre of Lille quickly. There's plenty of parking and it was right outside our rooms too :)

The room was awful. I'm walking in it smelt strongly of urine. The floor next to the bathroom was soaking wet. The bedsheets were stained. There were flies in the room. Thick dust on the tv side. Air conditioning had been dismantled and because it is a motel with outside metal shutters for curtains you cannot have a window open. I had to stay 1 night but cancelled my booking for the next 2. When I left very early the next morning my clothes and shoes were damp. Never have I moved from a hotel and never have I been in a room so unclean.

It's a budget hotel so didn't have high expectations. Something to note is this is more like an American motel - the rooms are accessed from outside along the edges of the building. No lift as stated which was fine - spiders everywhere in the outside corridors though. Room itself well, I guess it looks like the picture but with yellowed walls. Horrible smell in the room, can't place it at all. Air conditioning if thats what it was didn't work, just blew room temp or hot air around the room depending on where you selected on the dial. Bathroom was adequate but clearly not cleaned properly given there was someone else's hair in the sink and dirt on the floor. Toilet had a mysterious brown stain under the water line too.
The bed was comfortable, I slept well on it which was a definite plus. Security is pretty good since you have to cover the window with an electronic metal shutter at night. There was a kettle in the room, some spare sheets and a TV. I didn't try the breakfast but assume that was also okay given a few people were eating it.

I never expect much when using these French Motel chains.
This one was like every other one. They used to be good several years ago but they're now starting to look old and tatty.
Cleanliness wasn't good. The bathroom stank of stale urine and despite being a non smoking room, everything stank of smoke.

Missed out on breakfast as receptionist asked if I wanted breakfast and I decided not to pay for it. When I checked out lady said it was included. Room was nice, sex noises of room next door as well. Room wasn’t the cleanest either. I guess overall ok for the cost for one night.

Thankfully, the hotel is located within a shopping area, so it was easy to find an alternative.

Pleasantly surprised.
Nice room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Beautiful setting over looking lake, nice and quiet. Lots of places to eat and drink very close by. Great stop over on route to ferry port. Highly recommend.

Good Hotel Close to Lille
Very good value for money and very close to the bowling alley where we were in a 4 day tournament. Lots of reasonable eateries nearby and a very large Carrefour in a shopping mall. Continental breakfasts which were okay for us. We were overlooking the lake at the back of the property and had a lovely view. Staff could just about muddle through with us in 'Franglais'. Good jumping off point for Lille and Ypres and only an hours drive from Calais.

Good clean basic motel type hotel. Staff are friendly, the only pity was that the restaurant was not onpen on Sunday night. Although there are plenty to choose from, near by, as the hotel is situated in a commercial area. The hotel rooms are comfortable and seemed freshly decorated, which added to the general cleanliness. Rooms are situated onto an external walkway but the night we stayed it seemed quiet. Would stay again.

The room was ok but the bed was very hard and lumpy.The buffy breakfast was better than OK but a bit pricey. There is a nice lake and park land at the rear of the hotel. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance and the ones we tried were good, there is a large supermarket about 5 mins away which is in a shopping center.

The hotel is situated in a large retail park so there is a good choice of restaurants and activities. The hotel is good and Campaniles are always very clean. We were just staying for one night due to problems at Calais port, but were able to book with very short notice with confidence in the brand.

The Campanile range of hotels are always well up to standard. The rooms are clean, everything in the room works and the staff very helpful. I stayed at this particular hotel on the same date last year (2014) and when I rang to confirm my reservation the member of staff remembered me by my name - now that's what I call a personal service.
The location of this hotel is ideal for people travelling with pets as the ground floor rooms open straight out onto lawns and there is access to a park and lake which is ideal for walking the dogs.
Will certainly be going there again next year.

Generally as expected from a Campanile. The rooms are small, but have what is required. Coffee making facilities are a nice touch, but spoilt by providing paper cups and plastic spools - we know to take our own. Lakeside rooms have a better view, but the noisy birds in the morning can be a disturbance.

The online pics are very deceiving of the actual presentation of the hotel. As per the US standard, it would be a 1 star at best. The rooms were small and bare bones. The bathrooms were old and stained and my kids room was so disgusting that we had to move to different rooms. For the money, I would have spent a bit more and opted for a brand name hotel even a best western would have been a significant upgrade. The location was creepy and my wife barely slept, the beds were upgraded cots, very hard. My family didn't even take a shower as the bathrooms were mold stained. We only spent the first day there and checked out as early as possible to a Sheraton not too far.

Disappointed, this was not a hotel, but a Motel! The reception, was modern, light and clean. Staff good, helpful and polite. The dining room smart and food if you eat there was quite good value....but all these are in a different building. The rooms are in a seperate block. They are very small, tired and not good value. Bathroom equally disappointing. Should be marketed as a 'Motel' not hotel. Expensive for what you get. Real value should be about 25euro per night. At that price everything becomes good value!

It was very cheap, so I wasn't expecting luxury, but it could have been cleaner. The two members of staff (on reception) that we dealt with were very helpful, but the hotel building is a bit old and shabby, and our room needed a good clean (dust behind the doors, etc). Very convenient location, though, on the retail park with Ikea and Carrefour, just off the main road, which would be good if you are travelling and using this as a stop-over.

Clean, comfortable, good food, friendly staff. This hotel is in an excellent location with shops, restaurants etc very close by. The rooms at the back look over a lake and on the opposite side is a circus school with a \"fake\" fort. Well worth walking to have a look. Very convenient for world war I sites.

I stayed at the hotel with my fiancee for a night and it was very convenient to be close to plenty of options to eat out at night. But despite that, there was not much to do around. It was not as close to Lille as we expected and we were also not very motivated to drive there during the evening.
Overall it is a good quality and clean hotel and I reccomend mainly if you are travelling and need a place to stay over night. It is a kind of 'US Movies Motel style' hotel. The rooms are comfy, only problems is you can hear very easily any noise from the nearby rooms (which also means you can be heard easily).

This was not the first time we stayed here. They are busy with renovations of the rooms, but there was no noise or building work going on. That could be different in the coming days.
The updates include fresh paint work and new decor in the shower.
We slept very well and comfortable in the room. With so many restaurants all within walking distance and the Carrefour also within walking distance, it is our preferred place to stay whenever we want to spent a weekend grocery shopping in the area.

Réceptionniste agréable, parking propre et protégé. La chambre propre, lit ras , salle d’eau ras sauf un manquement de produits ( gel douche) le seul souci pour nous a été le bruit des voisins très matinal 6h/7h 😳 et 22 /23h . À notre départ à l’accueil on ne m’a pas demandé si mon séjour s’était bien passé sinon je l’aurais dit. Sinon petit mot sympathique dans la sdb de Yanis☺️ cela fait grand plaisir.

- La salle de bain n'était pas propre (plusieurs cheveux dans la baignoire et dans le lavabo)
- La chasse d'eau ne fonctionnait quasiment pas. Nous avons été obligés de tirer la chasse deau a chaque fois plusieurs fois pour tout evacuer. Meme comme ca, ca ne fonctionnait pas tout le temps.

I asked for certain rooms and my requests were honoured in full, which is much appreciated. Staff are friendly and they seemed to cope with my less than perfect French. Easy parking and a nice seating area outside where we enjoyed a few beers. There are plenty dining options all within easy walking distance should you not wish to dine in. Breakfast was good with plenty to chose from.

Le sejour était bien. Le personnel gentil et aimable. Le point négatif était dans la salle de bains, le fond des toilettes tout noir et le rebord intérieur foncé est inacceptable pour un hôtel de cette chaîne que je connaisdepuis 4 ans. Nous avons dîner là mais la quantité est trop peu pour le prix, quand autour il y a plusieurs restaurants et fastfood. Est-ce une stratégie ?
