This was a stop off hotel for us but very welcome. Pool is open late so we were in time for a dip after a long drive. Dinner was nice but overpriced. Bar area is great with Xbox and Fussball available. Beds comfy and clean.

Disappointing.

Poor for the price, lots of maintenance issues. Cold room, problems with electrics, wall light coming off the wall, socket covers coming off, generally tired decor. Free hot drinks impossible to use because just a kettle with no water supply to fill it and only loose leaf tea with no strainer. Breakfast ok, not great. On the plus side friendly staff and comfortable bed.

Great overnight stop

Very comfortable and clean rooms with lots for children to do (swimming pool, badminton, table tennis, table football etc) - ideal after a long drive through France. Great to have pool towels provided also. Breakfast pretty good too but restaurant over-priced for dinner given quality of the food. We went to nearby Italian restaurant (Bellacitta) on our return stay which possibly cost a little more but was very good

We had an excellent one night stay here on the way to South France. On the hottest day of the year, the air conditioned hotel kept the room cool, and we were offered an additional fan on arrival.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast and had delicious food both times. Staff at both the reception and restaurant were friendly and helpful and happy to speak in both French for me and English for my non-French speaking husband.
The pool was a welcome relief after travelling on such a hot day, and pool towels are provided.
Little touches like the children’s area in reception with games, comfy seating and a PlayStation with gaming chairs were very appreciated by my daughter! They also had a hot drinks station set up by reception where you could help yourselves to take away drinks, coffee and various types of tea, plus iced water.
Lots of outside space also around the restaurant and pool, a children’s play frame, ping pong, badminton net and seating under trees.
Overall a surprisingly excellent one night stay and we will definitely stay here while travelling again.

Three stars? Sorry, nothing like it

My satnav said that this was a Novotel, but it has recently been re-branded as Ibis Styles. I have stayed at a number of Novotels and had an expectation of the room. I was hugely disappouinted: small room; one spare bed with a cover and three cushions in an attempt to turn it into a sofa; one wooden bench; one tiny round table; one folding chair; no tea / coffee facilities; a free bottle of water with no cups, apart from two flimsy plastic cups in the bathroom which are intended for cleaning teeth and which crack unless you handle them gently; no shelves or drawers exceopt in the wardrobe (which had no door), and the only shelf was full of spare towels; no soap or shampoo apart from squeezy bottles of gooey, smelly gel on the wall (as is provided in the lowest level of Accor hotels); no tissues. Restaurant is really just a cafe; at breakfast (no hot food except for boiled eggs and toast) you even have to clear away your own tray! Restaurant is adjacent to child's play area and games room with video consoles and a table football game.

Friendly and helpful staff, great with our 3 year old and allowed the pool to open late during a heatwave to cool him before bed.

We arrived reasonably late, swam, slept, swam and left so cannot comment on local area. Usual Styles breakfast, perfect for our requirements. Staff gave us some good tips for planning our Sunday travels.

We chose this ibis style due to the facilities they had. We were not disappointed & nor were the grandchildren. After a long journey it was wonderful for them to have a swim in the good size pool. Lots of other games too. Staff, room & great buffet breakfast to start on next leg of journey. Only down side “not enough signage to find hotel”.

Great stay at a very good price.

Great hotel with free children games in the lounge ( including XBox). Location has a supermarket ( 10 mins walk) and also a few restaurants at 10 mins drive.
Staff was very welcoming and the room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Once thing I found annoying was that the toilet has a separate room than the bathroom which is a bit unsanitary as after you have used the toilet you will have to open 2 doors before washing your hands.
We've had breakfast included which was good but doesn't have a large variety of food and also lack in vegetables - no veggies at all.
Overall it was a great stay at a very good price.

Warm welcome and easy check-in.

Room was excellent - comfortable beds for all (including small children), and curtain made the room dark enough to get (and keep) the kids asleep.

Excellent restaurant in the hotel (though we paid for the convenience of not having to head out and find somewhere - I'm sure there are cheaper places in town.)

The garden and children's play area was a nice safe big place for the kids to run around in after hours in the car - easy to supervise from the patio with a beer in hand.

Pool is small and typically cold. It's also not really toddler friendly, but we all had a dip anyway which was nice. Fenced off so not a problem for kids in the garden.

Inside there are children's activities too which seemed to appeal to all ages.

We'd visit again should we need an overnight stay near the Autoroute (less than 5 minutes from a Leave) while travelling across France.

Excellent Night Stop for Driving to Dordogne

We stayed here mid August for 1 night en route to the Dordogne - we came in to Cherbourg and it took approx 4hrs to get there.

We were carrying 4 bikes on rear carrier - this was no issue - large free car park and appeared safe - we had no problems.

The hotel is brilliant - check in easy and quick.
We had a family room which was a double bed and 2 single beds still with plenty of room to move around.

No fridge in room or tea/coffee/kettle however complimentary hot drinks available from reception.

Pool area and gardens great for family - pool towels provided by reception free of charge.

The only down side is as usual the price of food and drink Pint of player €7 Wine €8 we paid €18 for 4 portions of chips. Burger im rstaurant was €16 however the hotel is located that you could travel put to find cheaper.

Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice, well stocked and catered for children.

All in all a fantastic hotel for a night stop.

This hotel can be hard to find. Our car Tom Tom GPS got close but could not find the entrance. Our Garmin GPS could also not find the hotel. Fortunately Google Maps took us to the hotel entrance.

The hotel has a nice lobby with many activities for kids including books, games, foosball and Xbox.

The room was small and basic. It was advertised as a family room but the two kids beds were only roll away cots and not real beds. They were not comfortable.

The breakfast was really good European buffet. There were no hot items or eggs but a good selection of bread, meat and cheese as well as yogurt. There was freshly squeezed orange juice and two espresso machines.

The common areas were better than the room. We probably would not stay here again.

We decided to take a little weekend trip to the Loire valley since I had a free hotels.com night. We wanted to spend the full $103, so we found this little Ibis outside of Tours. It was exactly what we expected: a moderately-priced, clean, comfortable room with all the amenities you would want at a hotel. The area was boring — it was basically located in a shopping plaza way outside of the city. But since we didn't want to be in a city, it was just perfect for what we were looking for! The breakfast in the morning was good — plenty of variety, outdoor seating, great weather. We had absolutely no problems with the hotel.

A very comfortable, modern hotel with a room big enough for two adults and two children (without them having to share a bed. Table tennis outside and free internet was a definite hit with older children. We were also pleasantly surprised with good vegetarian options on the menu (not always easy in France!). the staff were polite and helpful. We loved the recycled garden furniture - definitely a project when we get home.

Charming staff, good food

Staff were helpful. Room was clean apart from the bottom of the shower/bath, which was dirty. I would have complained but did not notice it until using the shower in the morning. Hotel quite difficult to find despite directions and sat nav, which did not work in the immediate area. Received good directions from staff on way to M-way when leaving.The grounds of the hotel were lovely. The breakfast and dinner were good. Perfect coffee. Overall an enjoyable stay.

While a bit hard to find in an industrial area, this hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The two single beds were actually a pull out sofa bed and while hard were quite ok after a 30 hr flight. This hotel is a good choice for an overnight stay. Near by Amboise is a must.

The decorators were in!

Have stayed at this Novotel many times in the past. This time I was not told they had the decorators in. The hotel is changing it seems from Novotel to Ibis Style. Our room smelt of cigarettes and the corridoors smelt of paint.
. The bar and lobby were draped in dusts sheets and the smell of paint put us off having a drink at the bar so we went out instead. The staff were polite and the buffet breakfast was good but I would hesitate to recommend as it is changing to another entity.

Pleasant overnight stop with our pooch!

Overnight stop on the way to Calais. Pleasant hotel just off a retail area which has shops and restaurants (very handy). Good parking and they allowed dogs (in bar & restaurant too).

Staff spoke good English and were very pleasant. Food in the restaurant was average but slightly pricey (the drinks were also expensive)

Rooms were clean & comfortable. The temperature in the room was hot and the thermostat wasn't effective - we had to open the window overnight (this was in March).but other than that - no complaints.

When we next drive through the area we will stay again and we may even do a couple of nights.

Hotel needs a refurb as we stayed in Novotel in Poitiers on way down and thia was stunning. Would choose Poitiers over this one any day!

Its own island, hidden gem

Typical Novotel suite style room, quite spacious, older fitout, comfortable bed. Good service from the staff. It does not seem to be suitable as a tourist hotel as it is about 6km from the centre of Tours, however all major roads are easily accessible, and the in-house restaurant is very good for both breakfast and dinner. They have resident chefs in the restaurant and we had 2 of the better evening meals at this Novotel that we have had in 2 weeks of travelling in France. Plenty of free onsite parking. Overall very good.

Typical Novotel, situated in a business park, which makes it a little tricky to find. Plenty of fast food restaurants around if that's what you are after.

Staff were very friendly, hotel had a good appearance and the room was clean.

Breakfast was good, but nothing to shout about.

Looking forward to our stay on the return leg.

A little dated but friendly staff

The hotel is really handy if you're travelling between Bordeaux and Paris and very easy to find from the A10 motorway. It's a typical Novotel in many respects and we found the staff very friendly. Given it's location it's more likely a business users hotel than a holiday hotel and the industrial estate it's located on would back this statement up. It's not worth full price, nowhere near in fact but booked through Hotels.com a good saving from the list price can be made which represents reasonable value for money for a family stop over. There are lost of restaurants located nearby, the usual French suspects including a Buffalo Grill, which again was very handy. My final remark is that it is dated. It definitely needs a lick of paint to freshen it up and new carpets which looked stained and worn.

We used it as a low-cost stopping place on our car trip through France. Basic safe low-cost hotel with decent breakfast. Dinner at hotel was not a good choice, however. We only tried it because there is nothing else in the neighborhood, and we were tired. Hotel is more for business travelers who need to be in the area. For them it would be good.

The room, although a bit tired was fine. Service was good and it had all the expected amenities, and seemed to cater well to families (although we weren't one). We didn't eat in the hotel and went looking for an interesting neighborhood brasserie, but the hotel is on a large trading estate and there is absolutely nothing for miles - we ended up in a Courtpaille, which was astonishingly bad.

Good hotel for a stopover on way back to UK and a good base to visit the Chateaus and nearby towns. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and functional. As a family, the children particularly liked their special gift and dedicated play areas. Restaurant food was reasonable but maybe a bit pricey however there are numerous other restaurants within 10 mins walk.

Nice friendly hotel. Outdoor pool cold. Under beds had not been cleaned for months. Dust, items of clothes and other debris obviously been there long time. Door furniture broken. Fair distance from Tours old town or TGV station. Hotel in an industrial estate so no leafy walks outside hotel!
Food good in restaurant.
Don't arrive at TGV station on a sunday all the car hire places closed.

The rooms were typical european, a little on the small side. The breakfast were wonderful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were there over Valentines day and the weather was extremly cold between 17 and 28 degree the whole 4 days.

Jättefint rum stor trädgård utanför passade jättebra för min lilla hund att springa i. Lugnt och fint område lite utanför staden. Mycket bra personal som pratade bra engelska. Restaurangen var bra menyn bra. Kan verkligen rekommenderas.

Prima overnachtingshotel, wat je kan verwachten voor de prijs. Ontbijt was prima, niet groot maar voldoende variatie. De twee eenpersoonsbedden bij het dubbele bed waren zeer slecht. De bar in het hotel is ok en nog wel genoeg te doen voor kinderen. Omgeving is weinig inspirerend
