Good location, steps from the famed 5th Avenue. The suite I had was clean and spacious but lacked character, art. The only common space is the rooftop pool area and bar which is nice, friendly staff. But there was rarely anyone in the rooftop pool area. Bummer.

The Palm is getting older and is in need of some repair. The maintenance of the Palm is in desperate need of an improvement! As a long time visitors we have seen the damage and decline of the property, for example the toilet seat shouldn’t slide around as you sit because the toilet seat is broken! The towels should not feel like sandpaper and a face cloth or wash cloth is now nonexistent and when asking about it you get looked at and treated like you are crazy! The plus side is you can get away and use the beach club at the Carmen hotel down the block to the beach! Very nice place and amenity!
The Palm is comfortable but don’t expect a luxury experience! Rain showers were hot but needs to be cleaned so the shower heads can rain fully and not drizzle! Overall doable but do not expect a blanket if you get cold or a toilet seat that is safe to use, or hospitable treatment.

The whole place is in need of some fixing up. We checked in to a dirty room with hair on the sheets and multiple contact lenses in the window ledge. They told us to wait an hour for them to clean up. Came back and the lenses were still there!! No wash cloths. Shower was leaking all over the floor. No blankets just a tiny sheet to cover yourself. Only one bath towel per person. When we asked for an extra we were told no by the cleaner. The location and pool are the only reason I gave them 2 stars. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

The rooftop pool was fantastic! The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and the cocktails were delicious! We recommend the guacamole too!

The location is perfect if you’d like to walk to the beach, 5th avenue and other attractions.

Room was not what it used to be! Smelled like it went through a hurricane and never repaired. No smoke detectors, holes around air conditioning and the bathroom shower head. No waitresses at the pool. Ripped up large layout beds. One single lay down chair (unlike photos) no cushions on backs of chairs. People were bringing their room throw pillows to the pool? Towels are crusty supposed to be white but gray now and they have the logo of another property. Time for a remodel! Must be new management because we loved the customer service and came 2x a year. We left early and to be fair got the prorated days refunded. Photos on website are from long ago.

Rooftop was nice. Two pools up there . The family room is really weird though . The only bathroom and the master bedroom are in the same room so anyone showering, using the sink or using the toilet will disturb whoever is in the bed that is literally right beside that. The shower and the bed are only separated by clear floor to ceiling glass. The kitchen and other two beds are in the other room.
So that room is set up super weird. Staff seemed a bit disorganized but were friendly enough. It was also loud at night until 3 am because of a club nearby . We all slept with noise cancelling earbuds or didn’t sleep until 3 am when the music stopped . We spent 3 nights here and all were the same.

This place has seen better days. Perhaps this was a nice hotel 10 years ago but now it is so run down. The room was clean but felt so warned down. The bathroom smelled like rancid cheese, the bed linnen had stains on them. The white sofa in the livingroom area had lots of stains. The safety box was not secured. In two weeks they never sweept our balcony that was full of sand. The sink in the bathroom was not attached and could be moved and leaked water. The pool area, OMG, there was no sunbeds accept one and that was broken, the sofa pillows and the big cusion by the pool where torn and smelled like mold. The overall inpression of the hotel is terrible and the picture on the website don’t even conforms to reality. DON”T STAY HERE!!!

Pros: Excellent location to town and beach. Room was spacious and clean. Full kitchen with all you need to cook meals.
Cons: our 10% off food was not honored, nor were our 2 free drinks that were included in our package.
Some of the food at Breakfast were ice cold upon arrival.
No lounge chairs at the pool..only 3 beds in the pool.
Front desk did not communicate anything about the hotel, where to find things, amenities…had to ask for hairdryer and found out you need to put a deposit down. Not a big deal but could have been told up front instead of going back and forth from room to front desk.

I expected hotel to be nicer..rooms are not what the pictures show. It’s older and no iron or blow dryer in rooms, towels were old, no wash towels.Toilet was clogged when we got there already but was fixed quickly. FYI ..The shower has no door/privacy. No comforters only a flat sheet to cover yourself. The only thing that I like was cold ac, the rooftop pool, bartenders were nice and that is close to 5ta ave but I wouldn’t stay there again. Oh and the parking garage is horrible not enough space to move your vehicle around to be able to park.

Decent hotel, bit run down. Big minus for only having 3 working sun chairs by the pool, there were 5 when we arrived, I broke on by sitting on it and another guest broke another. They were super old and worn out on the mesh part. The last 3 days of our trip they only had sun 3 beds with umbrellas, which went super fast. a staff member said the owner knew and planned to buy more, but didn’t during our 5 day stay. Not at all what the pretty pictures show on Expedia and their rooftop show. We had to spend additional money going to the beach to rent sun chairs. Staff was friendly and it’s a great location. Just really worn down and the owner not seeming to care. 3 sun chairs for a 70 person hotel, quite disappointed

I initially booked a week stay at the Palm and received a warm welcome from reception on arrival. I had booked a loft room which was large for one person and it had a lovely balcony overlooking Calle 8th and the corner of 5th which was great for people watching. The hotel has an amazing location next to all the bars and shops on 5th but if you’re a light sleeper or enjoy an early be warned you may want to bring ear plugs as it gets quite noisy with music blasting from surrounding bars and hotels and the music from the palm’s own rooftop. The housekeeping were amazing the room was spotlessly clean throughout my stay, however cleaning times varied each day it could be 11am or 2pm and my room was not cleaned on the final day as I asked them to come back a bit later which they didn’t. The Palm has a lovely upstairs pool area with bar, restaurant and great views looking out to the ocean, the service is ok and staff could have been friendlier. The palm is rated as a four star hotel but I can’t quite agree with this rating for the following reasons:

- bed linen had cigarette holes in it
- bath towels were small and all stained
- beach towels were not proper towels and made of a cheap cloth
- coffee grounds in my room were not given for all of my stay
- the pool was filled with dead flies & needed more regular cleaning.

Overall a very pleasant stay but management needs to work on attention to detail for a perfect stay.

Estadia de fin de semana placentera para celebrar por el día de las madres.
Su ubicación hacen una perfecta estancia, las paredes de la habitación requiere pintura y más detalles de limpieza, sin embargo es comoda. No nos dejaron shampoo, y en el labavo dejaron acondicionador no jabón.
Hubiera sido beneficios para ambas partes, que nos brindaran los beneficios por ser miembros Expedia VIP, ya que tuvimos que preguntar...etc,
Nos comebtaron al checkin que estaba Prohibido fumar en todas las instalaciones del hotel, el cual descubrimos es condominio, pir lo cual subimos a conocer el roof pero la primer noche cenamos fuera ya que queriamos fumar y pues perdieron ese ingreso ustedes.
Al dia siguiente la pasamos genial en el roof, conocimos en el roof a Antonella, y es por ella que danos las 5 estrellas de este review ya que es super servicial y amable. Aunque fue al final del día que nos enteramos podiamos fumar, ya que le comentamos que ya nos.ibamos para poder fumar y de haber sido por la mala info del check in la estancia hubiera mejorado la experiencia. En fin, gracias por todo. Todos muy amables en el roof. Jardines muy lindos, elevadores y áreas comunes limpias. Habitacion comoda. Gracias, volveremos quizá por su ubi, comodidad y ambiente en el roof.

I booked with Expedia multi travel city city Boston to Cancun Cancun to Tampa, Tampa to Boston with hotel stay, and I paid with one luggage but learnd yesterday at the JetBlue that Expedia agent did not add 1 suitcase from Tampa To Boston, so I have to pay for that$50,00 at the check-in JetBlue.. very upsetting 😡

This place is unique- 2 blocks from the beach is great. The garden is 4/5 stars, beautiful lush greens, nice seating areas, very cool and well maintained. The roof top pool and bar is nice- 3.5/5 stars, good drinks, nice pool, can see the ocean, tables for the \"bar tops\" crappy, but really enjoyed the service here. The rooms- crap 2/5 stars and being generous. Clean but old, basic, needs up keep, the furiture on the private balcony terrace needs tossed- completely falling apart, the kitchen is crap, and the cupboarss and tables are old wood that needs replaced. No rugs no decorations. Very meh. For us the stay was fine, i drank wine and read my book in the garden, and we had nice sunset cocktails at the roof pool (the mural art work is awesome). Room was a disappointment, but worked.

Well for starters the floor in my room was never cleaned and my feet were black after walking around for a few minutes. The coffee was never refilled and no extra water was replaced in my room even though I had VIP service. And to top it off I had 300USD stolen from bags (it was hidden really good) but my bag was rifled though buy what i can only assume was the house keeping staff and 3 100 dollar bills were missing.

I will not be staying here again.

We rented a room for 3 nights and 3 days. The location is great since it is a short walk to Quinta Avenida and a block or two from the beach and a 5 min walk from the bus terminal. The Hotel itself needs an upgrade! Our room as just Ok! The kitchen area had a sink that was old and rusty. The room had coffee and 2 bottle waters which we used the first day and they were never replaced while we were there. The towels were old and thin and looked far from white. There was no warm water coming from the shower even though we mentioned this and accordingly they said they checked it and it worked, well it never did. The only thing we liked were the drinks at the rooftop bar. The pool water was very cold so we used the hot tub which was ok. The Concierge was helpful recommended a great buffet for breakfast and the employees were nice. However, like I mentioned before the place does need an upgrade. I must mention that the bed which was comfortable!

Not Adults-Only As Advertised & Lacking Basic Amenities - We booked this property specifically because it was advertised as an \"Adults-Only\" building (ages 14 ), exactly what we wanted as parents of five children looking for a quiet getaway. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool and hot tub were filled with screaming kids ranging from babies to around 10 years old—yelling, splashing, and likely peeing in the pool. Definitely not the relaxing, adults-only atmosphere we expected.

On the positive side, the rooftop restaurant offered a great happy hour, very friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

However, the unit lacked basic amenities: we received no Wi-Fi information or instructions upon arrival, no face cloths, no conditioner, only one bath towel and one hand towel for the two of us. Bedding consisted only of a bottom and top sheet, without blankets or duvets. The unit itself was clean, but the coffee maker was dirty and gross—we decided not to use it.

Overall, disappointed as our primary reason for booking (Adults-Only experience) was not respected.

Three good things about this hotel:

The rooftop bar. The walkable location. The parking.

Disorganized reception. Had to leave a deposition for things that should come with the room for the amount of money you spend to book ($200 pesos for an iron, $100 for a second key). No fridge.

1st night was horrible. Could hear the music blasting from somewhere outside until 4am (I was on the 3rd floor).

Every other night was fine.

Good taco spot across the street that stays open to 4am and good thing was that Oxxo was around the corner. Because couldn’t get anything from the front desk…
