This is my second time staying at this hotel. My sister and I stayed last year 2025 and thought it was a great reasonable option in a PERFECT location. We enjoyed the breakfast which kept us pretty full for half the day and the market that pops up on the weekends across the street. The beach is only a 8-10 minute walk away and walmart, Soriano and several other supermarkets and stores are nearby. For me, this time felt a bit different. The WIFI wasn't the best and it's not an ideal location to work remotely from. If you're coming for vacation and to relax then this is not a big deal. I had to work for the first week of my trip (so a little different for me) and had to cancel class twice because the wifi just shut down. I did call the desk and they reset the modem and it came back on, but it just isn't the best. Like all hotels, some rooms are better than others. The first room that I was placed in during the first part of my 2026 stay had a leaking ac unit that caused a mini-flood in room. The second room was a bit better but the bathroom was so, so tiny that you literally can not fully open the door, because it touches sink. If I didn't have to use internet for work and could guarantee a good room I'd consider staying here again, but otherwise, it doesn't feel worth it to me anymore.

For a botique hotel and the price it has everything you need and more. Quiet, clean and comfortable space. This hotel has much to offer and capture the city very well. The mini splits in the room make the rooms very cold. The staff is always available and helpful! Would stay here again.

We checked in and when we saw the room, decided not to stay.
The room had no windows other than a sliding glass door that opened to the pool area. The room had a smell of disinfectant that was just too strong for us.
For a few more dollars we found a better place. If budget is the overall concern, I would stay here, otherwise I would look elsewhere.
I do have to say that the staff were extremely nice and helpful in every aspect, including getting a refund processed when we decided not to stay.

This was quite an excellent hotel somewhat walkable from the main district in playa del Carmen.(15- 20 mins )The rooms were pretty neat, with good breakfast and the staff were super friendly along with great recommendations for food as well as tourist attractions nearby. They also had safe underground parking for the residents which was super convenient too and overall I’d highly suggest this place given the value for money , amenities on site as well as the super friendly staff.

Nothing worked. The air conditioner in the room didn’t work. The ceiling fan did not work, it was dirty, the elevator in the building did not work. That means there was no access to the pool or hot tub on the roof. I could go on and on. Let’s just say the only thing that did work was the bed was comfortable. Nothing else worked, even the toilet didn’t flush.

I almost don’t want to write this because part of me wants to keep it a hidden gem, but this place deserves the recognition.

We stayed for a full week and loved everything about it. The property is beautiful, with a perfect mix of rustic charm and a cozy, hostel-like feel. Lush plants, gorgeous pools, and such a relaxing atmosphere made it hard to leave. And the AC!!!! Truly the best we’ve ever had traveling!!! It made a huge difference during the hottest week of the year in PDC!

The location is unbeatable, right next to the plaza. Starting at 5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there’s a lively market right outside the front doors with live singers, amazing food, and local vendors. It made the whole experience feel so vibrant.

Breakfast was a highlight every single day: HUGE plates of fresh, ripe fruit, fresh-squeezed orange juice, delicious coffee, and some of the best hot breakfasts I’ve ever had! (Best Huevos divorciados ever!!)

But what really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and you can tell how much they care.

A special thank you to Omar and Santos!!! You made our stay unforgettable. Even though we were probably those slightly chaotic Americans that asked far too many ridiculous questions, you were always kind, funny, and so helpful. You both work incredibly hard, and it truly shows.

Beautiful, affordable, and full of heart!!!!

We will absolutely be back… even if I wish I could keep it to myself.

Staff were great! The property though is tired and needs some investment in. A/C, ceiling fan, lack of outlets, poor lighting and minimal security in our room. The pools were getting rundown, especially the rooftop. Bartender was good considering lack of English. Location is great. Complimentary breakfast a nice touch.

All the stuff working in this hotel are amazing they help me to all my needs, the hotel it self is okay you got what you pay for. Its a bit outdated but the location is great. Housekeeping is available everyday it just the house keeping attendant don’t clean very well thats my only concern. Other than that great people and good hotel for its price.

I’ve been coming here for 2 years and I have no reason to try something else… Saturday night might get a bit rowdy with the music but hey that’s part of playa.. also, heater broke but I didn’t care for hot water anyways.. they were working on it but then I left.. cheers and I’ll be back

I just love staying here. This was my third time, and i will come back again. Sad that there is no longer a hot tub, and normally it doesn't bother me that there is no working elevator because im a fit person and the stairs are good exercise. However, this time i got a large tattoo on my leg and wished there was an elevator haha The hotel is beautiful, the room has everything i need, staff is a 10/10 absolutely lovely people that id like to call my friends at this point. (Please reach out anytime! I'd love to stay in touch) Breakfast next door is really good and the wait staff is fantastic as well. Location is excellent, i can quickly walk to anything i need or want to see. I love this place. Its charming, homey, lovely.

Hotel was cute, clean, very well located. Checkin was fast and friendly. Accessing underground parkade was challenging due to one way streets, bad timing with Carnaval closing streets, and guy very distracted with phone, directed our big suv to a half end spot suitable only for motorbikes or Smart car at most...took a full 5 minutes to back out, turn around, up ramp to the wide open upper level. Worst was the room which was cute but smelled of STRONG chlorine gas ALL day and night. Room was right beneath rooftop swimming pool, running water sound all night in bedroom not bathroom. I was woken at 5am (unusual) couldn't fall asleep again until I opened patio door to let gas out in spite of potential cold (5-10C all week around 5am). By then restaurant below started talking, rearranging furniture, birds loud. We didn't even fall asleep until carnaval performance across street ended around 1:30am. I would go back but definitely another room. Expedia did not elaborate why that \"balcony room\" was on deep discount. That would never pass health inspection in US or Can, but anything goes in Mex, beware.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. Room was large enough for the two of us, decent washroom, clean linens everyday and a nice little balcony. The breakfast included was a lot better than what I was expecting, it’s a full menu of local options as well omelettes, etc.

One of the key points for us was the central location, this is walking distance or short transportation to pretty much anywhere you’re going to want to go in Playa. It’s also across from a municipal park that seemed to be pretty popular among the locals, they had a couple nights with free concerts, live entertainment, and great street vendors.

Also, the staff were very friendly, courteous, and always willing to provide great recommendations for beaches, cenotes, activities, etc., and the cheapest/best way to get there from the hotel.

10/10 would recommend to friends and family.

Amazing, friendly, always smiling staff and a charming property in the centre of town but with a peaceful, shaded, plant-filled garden and three pools. Room was well furnished if a little rough around the edges in finish, but given the price this is not a complaint at all (it did however have A/C and a fridge). The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. A lovely relaxing stay and far better than being on 5th Avenue

Pools are so cold they are not usable, even on the hottest days. Hot tubs are filled in with dirt.

I chose this hotel for those 2 things and feel I got scammed.
The room and facilities are clean and decent. Location was fantastic, close to everything and walking distance.

I would go back if they fixed the pools and hot tubs!

The Hotel itself is very unassuming, but inside, is BEAUTIFULL! warm, inviting, friendly, private secure underground parking, and the staff were amazing. We had a small issue with our air conditioner and they switched or room without question apologised profusely for the inconvenience and even gave us a wonderful bottle of wine. overall I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for a great price and SUPER conveniently located right next to the town square with all kinds of food vendors and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach with access to some of the best restaurants Mexico has to offer!

The staff was courteous and generally helpful. The room was fairly clean - bath, shower and floors. The bedside lamps were dusty inside the shades - the bulbs included. We were not thrilled with the excursion service “Easy travel”. Our outing to Chichén Itza was not at all easy so don’t use them!

The staff are friendly and always go out of their way to assist guests. The location of the hotel of the hotel is minutes from 5th ave, Walmart, Ado bus station. The rooms are clean, air conditioning works well and the balcony for the pool facing rooms are large and comfortable. Beautiful foliage around the two ground level pools. Roof pool has a nice view of playa.

All of the staff are fantastic, very calm, friendly and professional. They have a great balance of being at your service when needed as well as giving you space to enjoy and explore on your own. While the space was smaller and older than expected from the photos, it was clean, quaint and a great venue to relax and recharge in. The excellence of the hosting staff/concierges and cleaning women cannot be stressed enough, great folks who do their jobs well. The location is also a huge advantage. You're in walking distance from everything you could possibly need, including the lovely beaches of the Caribbean Sea. All that to say, I'll definitely be coming back to both Playa del Carmen and La Pasion.

The room was wonderful housekeeping was wonderful but to extra wanting to clean room every day knocking on door while trying to rest breakfast was the same items not to many items they charge for the good stuff like pancakes the menu is basic hotel close to everything beach 5th ave shopping clubs park entertainment great location markets stores very convenient the only thing I didn’t like was how the staff came beating on my door saying my husband was smoking on the balcony but didn’t say anything to anyone else that was smoking on their balcony the entire hotel was smoking on the balconies but he only came to our room 706 not the rest there’s no privacy every time you walk downstairs someone is there watching u leave an come back in just staring at you the guys serve breakfast was very nice an pleasant my waiter the managers was uptight to certain ppl an kind to others won’t stay there again but it wasn’t bad just not our speed an the police station is right across the street so it’s very strict in the area every time you look up there’s a police walking pass with a gun so if you not fund of the police don’t stay here next time we getting a Airbnb to many rules at the hotel

The room needs to be upgraded, it has an old broken mirror in the bathroom and the door makes a horrible noise when it gets closed. The staff was courteous and helpful. It would be great if every room had a phone to communicate with the staff and a coffee maker. Room was clean.
