For the price, the area was decent and the property was decent. It was older but it was clean. The staff is what made it well worth it. They were friendly - went above and beyond to help -always greeted us when we came in and always said goodbye and have fun when we went out. They were helpful with places to eat and sights to see. Miguel and Jesus were awesome!

The staff was wonderfully friendly and kind. The layout of the hotel though, did not give us a window to the outside, just to the hallway. The room smelled so strong of mildew or mold. We were given 2 bathtowels for our party of 5, no face cloths or hand towels. The towels and sheets were threadbare. The fan above the bed wobbled badly, and was held together with duct tape. Because the only window opened to the hallway, other guests' noise in the common areas was very disturbing. Other than that, we felt safe and secure inside the hotel. The staff made us feel at home.

Management was terrible when i did my check in i said i didn't want no cleaning services and they still when in my room left my door with no lock and took my towels and didnt replace my towels when i poke to the manager she said if anything was missing from my room and i told her that was not the point she didn't wanna resolve the problem.

I am not sure what all the criticisms are for. Decent hotel 5 minutes walk from the beach, friendly staff at the front desk, warm water in the shower each night. Neighborhood was not run down as people stated. Not super elegant but suited me just fine for a couple days.

I can't leave a detailed review as we only used this hotel as a cheap and convenient 1 night stay before leaving for the airport. It was exactly that. The room we had was basic and had a very strong chemical smell but we got used to it through the night. Pay close attention to the room you're booking because I honestly thought I'd booked a completely different type with a kitchenette and outside window due to pictures on the booking but after closely reading the booking I did in fact book the quadruple room that only had one tiny window at the top of the wall and the other full sized window in the room looked out into the hotel hallway. Obviously not an issue for our one night but we would have been very disappointed had we booked our entire vacation here.
It's a small thing but we were really grateful that they allowed us to store our bags in a locker after check-out for free as we had a night flight so didn't want to have to lug our bags to the beach and keep an eye on them all day.
For the price of the place and the great location we didn't have any need to complain!

Prooerty was not great but fine. Only time i talked to the staff they were very helpful but they weren't overly friendly. The towels were old and the ceiling fan was filthy. I liked the location. 5 min walk to the beach and 5 th ave also.

This was a nice hotel as for walking to the beach and attractions in the area like 5th ave. The one thing I didn’t like is that the room really needed black out or thicker curtains as my room shared windows with the hallway and the opaque curtains did nothing to shield the hallway lights from beaming into my eyes at night. Overall the place was clean, and I would stay there again.

From the moment we checked in this place was terrible. Lady at the front desk was extremely rude. The room advertised fridge in room which is the main reason we got this room and there wasnt one. When we went downstairs to ask she said it was an error with expedia not them. Also the door lock to our room was broken and the soap dispenser didnt work. Book elsewhere

The property was ok it had a little smell but it was ok because we just went to sleep stayed out most of the time. Door knobs needs to be fix my son got stuck in the rest room numerous of times, the toilet wouldn’t flush that good . Staff would clean they did . It was a comfortable decent room slept good but , the staff in the morning they wouldn’t greet not a good morning not at all polite the only one at night was very nice beyond great service was the young lady yudith chatu I asked questions about around the area concerning transportion areas to go around there she was so nice every day I would see her with a smile I didn’t have to give her. Anything, while the other staff ladies were more like they expect something because they were not to courteous they would sit down have there coffee cookies talking to one another among themselves which is fine but it was a lil uncomfortable. Other than that I want to thank u papagayo for having us there I was ok comfortable it made it easy to get around walking

It’s a pretty honest and budget friendly hotel. If you need a safe and cheap place to sleep, I would recommend Pousada Papagayos. It’s 2 blocks away from the Main Street/beach which allows you to be in the buzz and at the same time find some more local cuisine.
If they have better towels, I would be way more pleased and willing to give higher stars, but overall is a fair place to stay

They should improve to have hot water and not only replying \" its strabfe, I'll check, in 10 minutes\" and never get hot water, I talked with other hosts and it was the same priblem and answer. Also, they didnt want to leave hand towel, shampoo, soap and all the tegular tging you find in a hotel even give a receipt for the payment (only accept cash) because \"they never do that\".... i recommend the place for its lotaction but not for the service

Literalmente había una gran cucaracha muerta en el baño apenas abrir la puerta (tengo foto), moho negro en el techo, olor fuerte a insecticida que duro los 3 días que estuve, manijas de las oxidadas y en mal estado (cada 3-4 usos se trababan y te quedabas atrapado), el “servicio de limpieza” solo tendió las mismas sabanas 1 vez, pero entro 3 veces a husmear en las maletas porque no hicieron mas que cambiarlas de lugar, dejaron las ventanas abiertas sin cortina para que todos vieran nuestras pertenencias en un intento de ventilar el terrible olor a humedad e insecticida, ni siquiera reemplazaron el papel de baño que se había acabado, el “estacionamiento” era un terreno cruzando la calle con basura y sin ninguna señalización, el trato fue amable pero la experiencia terrible.

La experiencia fue mala, llegamos al hotel y no tenían luz, no tenían agua, la chava que nos recibió nos atendió con una actitud muy mala, yo había reservado 6 habitaciones una de ellas en plata baja porque una persona tiene discapacidad y por lo cual no podía subir escaleras, le comenté y me contestó que ella no podía hacer nada que me había tocado en la 3era planta, le comenté que el Señor no puede subir escaleras y me dijo ya le dije que no puedo hacer nada. Al final me dejó una habitación pero no les hacían el aseo, no dejaban pétalos para el baño se pedían en recepción y molesta los entregaba, una habitación no cerraba la puerta con seguro, otra persona de mi grupo estaba tomando una cerveza en recepción sin música y sin molestar a nadie le dijo molesta y con actitud mala que eso no estaba permitido pero no había ningún letrero de no está permitido y mucho menos nos dijo algún reglamento al llegar que no se podía. Esta es la segunda vez que nos hospedábamos ahí. Nada que ver con el año pasado. Después estuvo otra muchacha que nada que ver muy amable, y dispuesta a resolver los problemas que teníamos.

Me hubiera gustado que limpiaran mejor la habitación, notifique a recepción que habia cabellos en las almohadas justo cuando recibí la habitación el primer día pero no me solucionaron nada. La respuesta fue que al otro día lo limpiarian. No use las almohadas porque no tenia la certeza de que estuvieran limpias.

Die ersten Tage bis zum Eintreffen des hurricanes waren nicht so schlecht, bis auf das wankelmüdige Internet und das nicht wirklich warme Wasser. Ab hurricane war es eine Katastrophe, Klima, Internet und Wasser funktionierten zum Teil über drei Tage nicht mehr. Wasser erst am Ende des zweiten Tages, Internet nur mehr in der lobby, Klimaanlage fiel zur Gänze aus. Bin schließlich in ein anderes Hotel in der Nähe gewechselt, da ist alles in Ordnung.

Estuve hospedado 4 noches, no esperaba un gran hotel, pero si limpieza decente, llegamos y tenian las sabanas de la habitación manchadas y tambien las fundas de almohada, ademas los utensilios de cocina estaban sucios todos, los electrodomesticos tambien por dentro y por fuera. Encontramos un insecto detras de la licuadora. Repito, no esperaba un gran qué, pero al menos un espacio limpio para dormir sí. El servicio genial, la señorita de recepcion siempre atenta y disponible
