Partial view of the sea? If you stretch your neck, you can see a small part between 2 buildings. Everything was perfect except that there are not enough long chairs next to the pool on the rooftop to accomodate everybody. And something stupid: there is a complete kitchen in the room, with only 2 glasses and that's it. No ustensils, no pans, no plates, nothing. When I asked if we could have something to eat in our room, I was told it was an extra... in a Hilton hôtel? Ridiculous. It became a running gag between us. Whenever we were looking for something, we were saying that it must be an extra.

From check in to check out was a disaster. Firstly arrived at 1am and took over an hour to find my registration and check me in although i was the only person checking in. Secondly we were awaken at 8am by ridiculously loud noises only to be told it was from an adjacent building and they only recently informed and could do nothing. i decided to leave but was charged a 1 night penalty for cancelling my reservation. Can you believe this from HILTON? In fact the first night charges should have been waived.

Absolutely amazing and cozy stay! The place was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The host was welcoming and responsive, making everything smooth from check-in to checkout. Perfect location, peaceful atmosphere, and great value. I would happily return and highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone visiting this beautiful destination.

The stay was okay. We had no hot water for 2 days. The first day we talked to the front desk and they said they were working on it and said to wait 30-40 minutes before showering. It was still cold. The next day I talked to the front desk and they sent someone to come look. He apologized and said they would call someone. I then asked to get our room changed. We then had hot water in our new room.
Also the rooftop pool is not heated. Some of the people on the rooftop questioned me and said I was there just 2 minutes ago. The rooftop is available for everyone who is staying at the hotel. I said I was on a tour and just got back. The rooms have no heat as well just AC.
Overall not a good experience. I will not be going back.

Great location, especially if you are wanting to be close to the beach and 5th ave. Beautiful greenery when you walk in (very photo worthy) and the rooftop pool and bar is a great place to take day and chill. Our room was clean everyday and really no complaints! Planning to stay again.

They asked us to pay additional charges and fees even though we already paid in the booking. Took some time but they waived it.
Room was moist, humid with no good ventilation. No windows. We asked three times to repair the shower that was leaking outside, no response whatsoever. In the first day 0/2 elevators were working.

I request a full refund. My stay at The Fives was a horrid experience. The environment felt careless and the service fell far below any standard of hospitality. The staff blocked me from receiving my Uber Eats order for no valid reason. The front desk person spoke to me with complete disrespect. The energy of the place felt hostile. I cancelled my extra night because I refused to remain in a space that treats guests this way. I will never return. The Hilton deserves full awareness of how this property represents itself because it damages the reputation of the brand.

Room was decent. We had two of three nights with very loud people above us. Called front desk three times, and they were rude and said no one was making noise. The floors are all tile and there are tables and chairs being moved around from 8:00 pm to midnight, then at 5:30 am on. Staff refused to move us. Room was very humid and the sheets felt wet. We could not get the thermostat to work right. Won't be back.

The property is well located for access to 5th avenue and the beach.
The suites are well appointed and feel luxurious, which is what I anticipated for a more upmarket stay.

The
rooftop was amazing with full horizon views of the sea and the city..Again a more upmarket environment.
Tastefully laid out around a spa,a restaurant and the most incredible infinity pool.

AVOID THIS HOTEL

This is not a 5-star or even a 4-star hotel—3 stars at best. Unfortunately, it’s the worst Hilton property I’ve ever stayed at.
The staff is courteous and friendly, but ultimately ineffective. We stayed for three nights and were unable to rest during any of them.
The location is excellent—close to beaches and shops—but that also means loud nightlife nearby, which isn’t the hotel’s fault. What is their responsibility, however, is the subpar air conditioning system and their complete unwillingness to address it.
Upon arrival, we paid extra for a suite upgrade when I should have received a complimentary Honors Gold upgrade. From the start, our room was uncomfortably hot. Despite setting both thermostats to the lowest possible setting, the temperature never dropped below 22°C—while it was over 32°C outside. It appears the hotel limits AC performance, likely to cut energy costs. Cheap! Unlike a 5 or 4-star hotel would and should do.
We complained four times. The first time, someone inspected the vents and said it should improve—nothing changed. The next three times, we received empty promises and no action.
I understand preferring cooler temperatures may be subjective, but this wasn’t about comfort—it was about basic livability. I couldn’t sleep a single night. The sheets were soaked with sweat. Despite repeated complaints, nothing was done.
This is a hotel-wide issue. Friends of ours in another room, who typically tolerate warm temperatures, found theirs unbearable.

We stayed at the Fives Downtown last week and could not have been more pleased or treated better. From our beautiful and spacious two-bedroom suite to the stunning views from the rooftop infinity pool, to the warm service we received from the staff — we loved it all.

As a family of five (husband and I and three kids) travelling to Mexico for the first time, we were anxious about whether or not the accommodations and location would suit our family, but they did. The hotel walkability is perfect walkable distance to many attractions and kid-friendly restaurants. Easy and walkable access to the ferry, the ADO Bus and taxis.

Cleaning service for our rooms was superb, and Ernesto, the GM/director of operations made sure we had everything we needed, gave us recommendations on activities for the kids, and even helped us locate one of our kid’s missing backpacks that we accidentally left in a cab. He even gave our kiddos some food pellets to feed the turtles in the hotel lobby. Nice touch!

We also want to thank Nicole, Adrian and Israel, who warmly greeted and waited on our family each morning for breakfast at the hotel restaurant (Mercatto). We honestly could not have asked for a better stay in Playa Del Carmen. Would highly recommend!!!

Paid for a 2 queen room, but the room they gave us only had 1 kingsize bed and a pullout couch. The 2 queen bed was the specific reason I booked this hotel, just to be let down and told that the 2 queen be option wasn't available. Loud construction out front so it was hard to sleep in. The hotel is close to 5th ave, and a short walk to the beach.

Have stayed here 10 times in the last 3 years keeps getting not as good. Stupid rules at the pool that you have to pay for section we always used as guests. No hot water for 5 out of out seven days. No welcome beverage. Just slipping. Handle broken on closet door. Shower heat kept sliding down so you can’t be under the water. I fixed it with an elastic. Try somewhere else and this is coming from someone that loved this hotel.

Perfect Spot for Families Near Beach and Shops

We stayed in a two-room suite, which was perfect for our family of four, including two teenagers. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to unwind after exploring.

The hotel’s location was unbeatable. Being in the downtown area, we could step outside and easily find great restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The beach was just two blocks away, and the main pedestrian strip was only a block from the hotel, which made getting around incredibly convenient.

When we went to the rooftop pool, we were surprised by the extra charges for using chairs, so we opted to spend more time at the beach instead. However, this didn’t detract from our overall experience.

I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, well-located spot in the heart of the action. It’s a great option for families, though it has a more urban vibe compared to a traditional resort.

Don’t play with my money ! $$

Terrible !!! They tried to up charge $50 a day on a king jr suite because the reservation only said 1 guest but it was for 2 people checking in. & then also said you don’t get breakfast with it only the first occupant.

I also called hotels.com & Expedia about this and was told I would get a call back & never did.

Prices on all websites do not change adding a guest or breakfast was only $5 additional

Outrageously noisy. Not only can you hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the rooms above you, you also hear everything from the rooftop and courtyard. Partying from the rooftop including music and cheering can be heard very loudly and clearly from your room even at midnight. Really unacceptable.

The only downside I have for them is that after hurricane Beryl forced us to move the entire vacation schedule by one day due to the ferries not running, this was the only property that wouldn't work with us to change our dates.

The rooms are nice and moderns but if you happen to be on the 4th floor is too noisy all day and until 12pm as the roof top has aot of activities a restaurant a bar a swiming pool so a day ypu hear chairs neing pulled, steps people runnjng. The rooftop floor diesnt help its wood and it crunches and make a lot of noise. Also the cleaning there was some garbage on the elevator for 2 days so no one sweeps it daily.

Good large room with a comfortable bed. The room wasn’t very clean. Dusty and dirty floors and bedsheets had remnants of previous guests. Went to use the roof top pool area and found out the sun loungers were 250USD each and no real seating for guests. Didn’t feel Particularly welcomed by staff and we received a note through our door early morning before check out welcoming the next guests and offering a welcome hamper. Not great considering that wasn’t something we received on arrival and we hadn’t even checked out yet!
