The difference between an average hotel and an excellent one is the level of service provided in each. The rooms are generally very similar. While there may be differences in the amenities offered, the real reason one has a better or worse experience and the real reason one chooses to spend more on a stay is the service provided. The Caribe Royale is a beautiful property and in some instances, the service was great. However in others, especially the front desk, valet service and in one restaurant, the service was seriously lacking. I brought the issues to the attention of the front desk personnel, the valet and the server in the restaurant and received only blank stares in return. They can and must do much better.

It’s in a very isolated area. Staff is very friendly and the food was delicious. Experienced some plumbing issues, and they were responsive in moving me. They need to clean vents and renovate. I do not like the sink being outside of the bathroom at all!!!

My room was suppose to be clean The Who weekend I didn’t get clean the sheets were dirty! Had red stains on the sheets the trash never was taken out. I was charged n amount the day I came and I was charged different amounts days after check out. I want my money back. Now. I had a horrible experience. Ppl were looking into cars that didn’t even stay in the hotel my cars weren’t safe. Not happy

We initially requested to be moved to Tower III due to ongoing issues with the elevator in Tower I. Upon transfer, the room in Tower III appeared fairly clean.

However, on our third day, we requested housekeeping service, and upon returning, we found the room had not been cleaned properly. The beddings were not changed, the floors were not vacuumed, and there were still visible hair strands and small pieces of tissue on the floor.
Additionally, we discovered a water leakage issue in the living room area and near the bathroom entrance, specifically between the lavatory and the mirror. It appeared this issue had gone unnoticed, as the carpet had a stale odor and was heavily soaked. We only became aware of this on our third day while spending more time in the living room.
We reported the issue to the staff to ensure it could be addressed for future guests. Although we were offered the option to move rooms, we chose to stay after the carpet was replaced. Unfortunately, it became wet again the following morning.

On a positive note, Marischelle, an intern, was very helpful and attentive in assisting us with our requests. We also enjoyed the pool during our stay.

This place is exactly what you think it is for all the right reasons.The Staff down to the valet where helpful to a tee. The rooms where spacious with enough room for the entire family and for everyone to have their own privacy with multiple bathrooms. My wife enjoyed the Amenities such as the private pool and the main pool. For the price point and quality it easily competes with any of the major Disney resorts in the area and I mean that as a frequent stayer.

This property is very rundown. The rooms are basic. The staff is friendly, but not helpful. The views from my first room were looking down at the back of the restaurant by the pool and had 10 dead trees garbage dumpsters outside. It was filthy dirty. I asked to move to another room which was overlooking the parking lot and finally I had to go downstairs talk to the concierge and they gave me a room overlooking the pool, which was better but not what I would say luxury. Also, when I came to pick up my car from valet after staying there for a few days, they parked my car next to a sprinkler system, and the whole side of my black car was completely stained from the sprinkler water. When I mentioned it to the valet, he just threw the keys at me and said I just park them. So I left there spending $45 a night ballet in my car which never moved got it back filthy had to take it to a special card cleaner to get the stains off the side. And overall, it was a horrible experience. I would never go back there and never recommend somebody to stay there.

Overall very nice hotel, rooms were nice and clean. The reason for 3.5 stars instead of 5, is I felt like I was \"bait and switched\" on the room price. Our initial booking cost with tax was $226 for one night. We booked a couple weeks early, their policy gave us until the 7th to cancel. On the morning of the 8th (two days before our stay), I received a \"welcome text\" from the hotel, mainly to tell us that there will be a $38 daily resort fee and $35 nightly parking fee, so our $226 room quickly went up to over $300+ for one night. As is typical, these resorts are expensive. We had dinner for 3 at the Calypso bar and grill by the pool. Our daughter got a kids meal, my wife and I got 2 drinks each and she got salad and I got grilled chicken sandwich. With a reasonable tip it cost over $200 for a modest dinner at best. Felt taken advantage of. Again, the hotel was nice but brace yourself to pay a lot for every thing. Even little things cost a lot.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. We accidentally found it two years ago and we come here almost exclusively when we go to Orlando. There are so many things to do on the property. The Venetian is one of the best restaurants. Period. If you are coming with children, however, just a warning do bring pool toys. It will save your day! The staff is also phenomenal. Tipping extra is always a good idea although not expected in my experience, they work really really hard and the extra appreciation has never gone unnoticed.

Everything was nice and the location was great. It wasn't as luxurious as I thought it would be but it was nice. I would definitely go again and recommend others to go just be aware of the prices of things. Some amenities had an extra price and parking is expensive.

Best thing about Caribe Royale was the pool, it’s huge and fantastic. Room itself was spacious, all equipment was in great condition. The lobby, Starbucks near reception, bar food, the market all were good and handy. Nothing to complain about, we stayed for 5 nights and it was pleasant and enjoyable. Room service was prompt. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who is planning a stay in Orlando with all good amenities and a great pool. All attractions like Universal, Disney, Seaworld were within 20 mins by cab and complimentary shuttle to Disney was very handy. Overall 5 stars.

The hotel is in a very convenient area. The walking trails are very lackluster, and the fact that you get charged for these types of hotel amenities once you check in ($39/night). You also get charged $35 a night for parking. I think that’s important to know upfront.
The pool bar has pretty good food and great drinks. Allan the bartender is great.

This was our second time staying at this property, and it continues to be absolutely amazing. The grounds are clean, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is always spot on.
We visited over Easter weekend and decided to try the holiday buffet for the first time—it was fantastic! The hotel also organized an Easter egg hunt for the kids, which was such a cute and fun touch. We also really enjoyed the addition of the DJ this time around. The music was a perfect mix and created a great vibe that wasn't there during our last visit.
The kids had the time of their lives at the pool and practically had to be dragged away at the end of the day. However, I do have one \"con\" to mention: we had to exit the pool twice early in the day due to \"accidents\" in the water. This resulted in a two-hour wait to get back in. Since it was a hot day and the kids were having so much fun, it was a bit of a letdown to lose that time, but we understand the facility has to follow safety protocols.
Despite the pool delay, everything else was wonderful. The property remains a top choice for us, and we loved the energy and the hospitality!

The room and location were exactly what we needed - spacious and clean. The pool was beautiful and kids loved the waterslide! The marketplace was nice to grab a pizza or an ice cream and the food was good/typical bar food at the pool.
There were only a few things that made me rate Caribe as \"good\" and not \"excellent\" - It would be helpful for them to post the shuttle schedule on their website before you booked. They have very specific times that the shuttle runs to each park. The buses themselves were very nice and clean and drivers kind, but it would have been helpful to know the schedule before we checked in.
Also, there is a hotel fee added each day that says that it covers things like the shuttle, etc. However, on top of that, with everything that we ordered at the pool, there was an extra $5 \"service charge\" (not the tip...) This added up and felt like a curveball when getting the final bill. Lastly, some might not be bothered by this, but we saw this pool and figured it would be a relaxing place to spend our time when not at the chaos of the parks. However, it was very busy and there was loud music playing the whole time. Not the serene vision that we had for our down time. I write those in case it is helpful for people planning, but overall, we were very happy with our room and the accommodations.

We came to Orlando to celebrate our son’s birthday and meet up with friends, and this hotel was perfect for our family of five. The pool was the highlight of our stay. We loved being able to swim in the morning and go back again at night. Everything stayed open late, which made it even better, and honestly, you don’t even need to leave the hotel.

Pools were heated but got really crowded. Shuttles to parks were very convenient, just note that the bus may drop off or pick up at all the parks so the ride is a little longer. Nice chartered shuttle bus.

We had a great overall experience at this hotel. The room was very nice, clean, and felt new, and the staff throughout the property were extremely friendly and helpful.

The restaurant, especially Chop Steakhouse, was outstanding—easily one of the best restaurants we’ve been to. Truly a five-star experience.

There are a few areas for improvement. Maintenance could be better, as some areas like the restaurant windows were noticeably dirty, which affected the view. At the pool, it was difficult to find chairs, many guests reserve them early in the morning and leave, making it hard for others to enjoy the space later. While this is more of a guest behavior issue, some sort of policy could improve the experience.

We also noticed what appeared to be a small wood-eating bug in the room, which may or may not be an isolated issue, but worth mentioning.

One major downside was the Starbucks inside the hotel. The service was very poor—staff were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to address an issue with weirdness milk in our drinks. We ended up leaving the property to go to another location, which was disappointing given the convenience the hotel is supposed to offer.

Overall, despite that, we had a very good stay and would definitely consider coming back.
