Water temperature turn all the way up as barely hot in room. The handle in the main bedroom’s bathroom kept falling off for the tub/shower. Door next to us had two dead bolts on it not normal and insulation tubing around the door. Door looked like it had been rammed in. TV was always on and loud next door. Made us very nervous. We have stayed multiple times over the last 10 years at the resort, but this may have been our last time.

Although we have enjoyed staying at the Blue Heron Resort for many years. (This most recent stay would be our 11th), unfortunately the unit that we were in this stay had some issues. The Vacasa rep was very responsive to our concerns and showed up in person to assist which was appreciated. They did offer some alternative options within the property, but we decided to check-out early and move to a new location since it was our 25th Anniversary trip. Even though, this unit did not meet our expectations, we have had 10 previous years where we absolutely enjoyed staying at the Blue Heron so we assume this was just a one-off fluke.

This place is very dirty. Cobwebs and dust on everything. A dirty towel on the floor right when we walk in. Another dirty towel laying on a bed. Dirty sheets just balled up in the closet. A glass pane with 90degree corners was on a shelf in the closet and hanging off the shelf about 5 inches where you would use the hangers to hang clothes. Right at head level. Almost had to go to the hospital because my head hit it. Handle broken off to a bedroom. Faux drawers or cabinet doors fell off in the kitchen. Night stands with the draw bottoms falling off or barely on so those are unusable. They don’t spray for spiders and after I counted over 50 as soon as the sun went down I ran in and locked the doors and that was just one balcony. They have two and each is just as bad. Even the ones by the elevators. These are huge spiders. Not little ones at all. The pool was digusting . Trash in it and people weave allover. And the worst part is a maintenance worker sprayed me and my brother and my car with some kind of chemical. I still don’t know what it was but it was burning my skin. We had to wipe down the car and get a car wash and both take showers right away. The man didn’t speak English to tell me what chemical it was. I have pictures for all this but this review didn’t ask for photos. Also the hotel did nothing at all to accommodate things that were wrong. There was many more things but these were the top complaints.

The condo that we stayed in was clean but had NO cookware. Unit had two pots and no frying pan. We’ve stayed there several times before but this was first time we encountered not having cookware. Also didn’t have any towels for the pool.

We were there for a girl’s national volleyball tournament. The hotel is apx. 20 mins from the Orange County Convention Center. The team stayed at this hotel so it was fun to meet at the pool. The rooms are large and comfortable and it was nice to have the bunk beds in the hall of the unit. We had a great view from our room in Tower 2, unit 601. It needs some fixes. The patio out of the bedroom doesn’t lock, the clock on the living room is broken. The sink and tub drains super slowly in the bathroom of the bedroom with the patio. The DVD remote is missing a battery, and there are several hot iron imprints in the carpet in the bedroom with the patio. We enjoyed our stay as the size of the unit was great, it was comfortable, and a great location.

The only good thing about the property is that its within 15 mins drive from Disney and has stores around it. The presentation is very good but the property is not clean, the carpets are very dirty and I used 2 properties and both had issues in washroom , cleanliness issue and kitchen amenties issue. Even if you complain about something, you will receive an automated message but no actual action, i stayed with flooded bathtub for 3 days.

Aggressively below average property. Bedroom carpet has an awful, strange smell. Roaches appeared every so often. Unit had a busted garbage disposal on day one. One of the bathroom doors were off one of the hinges and did not close properly. Mattresses were mediocre. Curtains and decorations are very tired and old. TVs are hilariously old, there is even an actual DVD player… Long story short, you’re “saving money” on a place like this for a reason. You’re better off somewhere (anywhere) else. Don’t bring your family here. The only silver lining was checking out at the end of the trip.

OUTDATED condo with ants.
These are privately owned units that the owner (host) rents out. Our unit was extremely old/outdated. TV in bedroom didn’t work at all and I had to program the whopping 32 inch outdated TV in the living room myself in order to watch. Wood laminate on nightstands in bedrooms was completely missing in spots. Patio furniture was broken and a lone dead plant greeted us on the balcony. ANTS in bathroom and kitchen. Food wrapped on counter covered in ants the following morning when we woke up. The condo itself did have a beautiful view of small lake. Pool was very clean. Im sure other units in these buildings are beautiful. The owner of ours obviously hasn’t invested a dime in years and should not be allowed on Hotels.com.

Blue Heron is a very nice place to stay -- convenient location, condo is always nice and well equiped. Nice view in either direction -- over the lake or seeing the EPCOT fireworks at night.

The property needs a good upgradation. Roaches and Ants in the kitchen. The toilets were not cleaned properly. Not enough toiletries were supplied for a week of stay. The washer and dryer were dirty. Please take these all under consideration before booking this condo. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay. Awesome front view, some good fast food and restaurants are within walking distance. 15 to 20 minutes drive to Disney World and Universal Studio.

We stayed on the 3rd floor and one of the owners of a condo on the 3rd floor lives on the property, plays his TV at full volume and the stench from their condo is like something has died in the condo. We talked with the front desk and they said there is nothing they could do because the owner is the problem!!! Never will stay on this property again.

We stayed for 7 nights in a one bedroom apartment. Unfortunately the apartment was very \"tired\" Handle was broken off the fridge. We had to wedge a piece of cardboard into the main door to stop it rattling in the wind. The TV remote didn't work properly and the bug guard on the balcony door was broken. Also the cooker had rust at the bottom and several areas were dirty. It's such a shame as the location and view over the lake are excellent. The apartment clearly needs a lot of money spending on it to bring up to an acceptable standard.

it was dirty in the room but the housekeeping came in and addressed it and made it right!! we always stay here when we come to florida and we love it! we did check out early because the bed was hurting our backs so the beds could def use some upgrading but for the price I really can’t complain. This property is in need of some updating. The check in process didn't work. I was sent an email to fill our registration ahead of time, but the link did not work. Our room needs some updating as well as better cleaning. There were leftover socks as well as a spoon under the master bed. The comforter for the sofa bed was stained and unusable. The drain in the second bath was very slow.

Closest I’ve ever been to leaving a reservation. Dirty room, mechanical room left open and it was disgusting, lots of water damage, couldn’t get simple toiletries after 3pm (after a day at the parks), very out of date. We have stayed at the Blue Heron every year for our Disney trips for the last 5 years. We love the location and area. They always provide shuttles to the parks; however, upon arriving this time, they said they no longer had a shuttle as of 1 month ago. Just know that although it says they have a shuttle, they currently do not so plan accordingly. Otherwise, we love Blue Heron and their awesome pools/hot tub/tiki bar/location. :-)

We like the property for what it has to offer..We enjoy being near the lake and the walkway and opportunity to sit out there and enjoy it.We enjoy the balconies that come with the rental.Also nice to sit out and enjoy the views.The outside property well maintained.Great large and small pools and plenty area to sit out..Also outside bar if interested.The inside is comfortable.Bit dated but have no problem with it. you can bring family there for reasonable price..Near many restaurants and stores and maybe 10 min to Disney Springs.Thats a plus.So close to Disney.We enjoy staying there.Look forward to next visit.

We loved the set-up with the hotel! It felt like we were in a home, not necessarily a hotel room. The kitchen was decently stocked, but missing a larger frying pan and salt/pepper, which made it a bit difficult to use as a fully functioning kitchen. There was some dust on the dressers, night stands, end-tables, but other than that it overall was clean.
The pool was a very pleasant temperature & the hot tub was a perfect temperature. There were plenty of chairs poolside to use for relaxation.
In spite of the few hiccups, we would stay there again & recommend people trying this place out.

The hotel was nice, However the unit we stayed in needed some attention. The bedroom carpet was dirty. There was a mystery wet spot on carpet that did not dry up for the 2 days we were there. Floors were so dirty that our feet turned brown when walking bare foot.There was long hairs left in the toilet and tub. There was mold on the bottom of the curtains in living room. There was a mystery brown spot on the master bedroom toilet near handle. The TV in bedroom is very small. Security chain on exit door is falling off. We did not sleep well because the master bathroom toilet flapper was not sealing property which caused the toilet to run water about every 20 minutes.

It was a unique experience. I wasn't sure what I was going to get or how it would work since it wasn't your standard hotel room, so that was a cause for some anxiety, but that was mostly on me. I was very happy with what we got for the cost. It was as advertised and there were no surprises (which I am very grateful for). I would recommend this place to a friend or book it again if I could guarantee I'd get the room we were assigned.

The furniture in the unit was pretty shabby. The layout was great with two full baths, a kitchen, living and dining area. Streaming services on the tv would have been nice. The apartment could use a coat of paint, especially baseboards and door frames.

It's a condo with beautiful view, just the kitchen sink is leaking. We contacted the front desk of the resort but nobody came to fix it during our 4 days stay. Everything else is excellent.

Overall, I would stay again. My flight arrived late after 1am and the security gaurd was friendly and sweet. The next day, my key was deactivated. I called and called to try to pay the money. The front check in doesnt take payments and I sat there until she finally agreed tp activate my key. No one was answering the other end, so it was a long time of just sitting in the lobby not having access to my room.
