Nice find, comfy and scenic
A nice historic house located in a banana farm in NW Tenerife. Nice and quiet, very comfy. Awesome breakfast and great service. You will need a car to get here and travel around the area. You can go easily to local villages, the beach, Garachico, Teno hike, etc. Would recommend this to friends.

Authentic rural gem
Really pleased we chose Casamarilla. We spent 2 nights in December and thoroughly enjoyed this authentic, rural gem in the North of Tenerife.
It is a little hard to find the entrance off the main road but once there, it's like stepping back in time into this lovely old farm house, filled with antiques, original features, beautiful mountain views and a genuine welcome.
Was able to completely relax here in the quiet. Local village with a couple of bars and restaurants and access to coast is about 5 minutes walk away, or larger town of Los Silos is about 5 minutes drive.
Breakfast was great and it was nice to have complimentary hot drinks available all day in the formal dining room.
Room as described and very clean.
Would recommend.

Ideal for romantic German couples
La Casa Rural Amarilla - The Yellow Country House - appealed to me because it was an old finca surrounded by farmland. However, it turned out to be situated in a very isolated place, where the approach was bordered by very high black coralstone walls and it looked very forbidding...once there one had to call a cell number to locate a caretaker who would come to open the gate...this did not happen and in the end we had to call the owner, Teresa, who then got hold of the elderly person who came down to let us in and it took some 20 minutes or more, and the fact that it was late in the day and pouring with rain did not add to the situation. Upon arrival at the house, I found the actual house
pretty and nicely furnished. However, upon viewing the room, which was not the room I was promised, I found it dark and rather depressing. The taps in the bathroom for both the shower and bidet did not work and little water flowed through and I saw in fact it was because the faucets were caked with calcium and limescale deposits. The water was not hot, so no nice hot shower and no bath even though we were promised one in our original booking. The beds were reasonable, but the pillows like bricks...luckily I had my own pillow, which I then left behind when we left after just one night, but which Teresa the lady owner kindly brought down for me the day I left Tenerife as she had to go up to her property. The breakfast was not appetising, coffee bitter, eggs cold. Not good.

Quite nice room but up steep stairs. Breakfast very good inc scrambled eggs. Biscuits, drinks and sweets on offer every day in the common room area. Immediate location nothing special but excellent restaurant called the Miramar in Garachico would thoroughly recommend for quality and pricing and friendly service.

Beautiful and calm hacienda
We stayed for six nights in room #1 of this lovely B&B. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the location a lot as it is far from the most touristic spots of the island yet permitting to explore interesting areas such as Masca and Punta de Teno nearby. The pool was nice and breakfast was good. Highly recommended!

a little gem in the middle of banana plantation
This is a brilliant hotel (more of a manor house actually) for those looking to escape big corporate hotel and complexes. It is a hidden gem where all you can hear around you is the silence! Only stayed 1 night on our tour of the island and would go back again. The service was outstanding despite us being the only guests there at the time, breakfast was laid like a feast. We borrowed the bikes and went for a ride through the banana plantation and the main village. Really enjoyed our stay at this manor house.

Me and my boyfriend both loved this place. Nice rooms, all staff are lovely and very helpful. Very secure. The pool area is probably real good but we had some January days a bit too cold for a dip. The neighbourhood has some small 'Supermercado' (supermarkets) and we found some tasty restaurants too. All I can say is STAY HERE! This old villa among all the bananas is grand!

Experience life away from the tourist strip
We loved Casamarilla. After spending a week at a conference in Playa de las Americas, we needed somewhere quiet where we could enjoy a more genuine Tenerife. Although we speak very little Spanish, we managed to communicate very well with the animated Isabelle, and since bananas are an important part of the economy, staying on the plantation was a unique experience.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and I felt very secure because the gates were automatic and access was only allowed through the use of the keys; a fob or through the main controls in the hotel.
Although close to the village of La Calleta the only noise to be heard was the fireworks to celebrate a local saint's day.
It was a small hotel, in the centre of a banana plantation. The pool was small but clean and fairly warm.
The only downside was very little English was spoken by most of the staff and there wasn't a kettle or tea making facility in the room, which would have made my stay more comfortable.
This hotel retains many original features and is mainly furnished to suit the character of the building.
I would return to this hotel again.

Endroit magnifique, maison coloniale perdue au milieu des plantations de bananes. Personnel très aimable qui sait se faire discret, on a l'impression d'avoir la maison rien qu'à soi et tout est fait pour que le client soit autonome, jusqu'au retour des clés. Von einem herzlichen Empfang ging es zur Erklärung, wo und wie alles zu finden ist. Dazu gab es Tipps für lokale Restaurants (auch fußläufig erreichbar), die klasse waren.
Das Team der Casamarilla ließ für uns die Sonne noch heller scheinen und wir werden definitiv wieder kommen!
PS: Die Abende auf der Dachterrasse werden wir besonders vermissen: vorn die beeindruckenden Gebirgsformationen, hinten die atemberaubende Küste - alles mitten aus einer Bananenplantage: wie war die Steigerung von wow nochmal ? 😀

Wir haben nur eine Nacht in der Finca verbracht. Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Es ist ruhig, gemütlich, speziell mitten in der Bananenplantage. Personal war sehr freundlich. Frühstück top. Immer wieder gerne.

Ruhige Ferien in einer Bananenplantage
Sehr ruhige Finca im Kolonialstil, mitten in einer Bananenplantage gelegen, ideal für Erholungssuchende. Ein kleiner Pool steht zur Verfügung, im Aufenthaltsraum steht ein Fernsehgerät und in den öffentlichen Räumen gibt es kostenloses WLAN. Sonst gibt es keine Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten und die sind auch nicht nötig. Ins Dorf könnte man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss gehen, dort gibt es Restaurants und einen Supermarkt. Auch eine Badegelegenheit ist dort vorhanden, allerdings würden wir das Hotel jetzt nicht für Badegäste empfehlen. Grössere Orte und bessere Bademöglichkeiten sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar.

Jolie maison coloniale au milieu d'une bananeraie
Après une arrivée de nuit un peu angoissante étant donné l'isolement du lieu (malgré itinéraire en espagnol donné par mail par la propriétaire, à notre demande) et surtout l'attente devant le portail , nous avons apprécié cet hébergement.
Point de départ un peu excentré pour la découverte de l'île (il faut absolument une voiture) mais véritable havre de paix pour le repos.
Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse du personnel (présent seulement dans la matinée) , l'accueil (corbeille de fruits dans la chambre, bouquets de fleurs), le côté un peu suranné de cette ancienne maison coloniale avec tout son décor d'époque, la propreté du lieu.
Le petit déjeuner en self (œuf frit à la demande) avec charcuterie, fromage, fruits et pâtisserie, jus d'orange pressée était servi dans une agréable salle à manger.
Endroit très sécurisé (on ne peut entrer et sortir qu'avec un passe pour ouvrir les grands portails fermant les accès à la bananeraie)

Mooie B&B, kil en klam bij minder goed weer.
Nette en propere B&B met een goed ontbijt! We sliepen in één van de bijhuizen dus niet in het hoofdgebouw zoals afgebeeld. Deze waren zeer net, het enige wat ontbrak was verwarming op de kamer ..... Beddegoed was kil en klam. Tijdens koudere en vochtige dagen is dit echt \"een must\". Het geeft je ook een veel aangenamer gevoel als je in een verwarmde kamer binnenkomt.

Mein Mann und ich haben 3 Nächte im Hotel Rural Casamarilla verbracht.
Das Hotel selbst ist toll! Richtig schön renoviert, toller Garten, viele Parkplätze. Leider ist die Lage und der Service furchtbar.
Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Autobahn. Ich hatte mich bei der Buchung von den tollen Bildern blenden lassen und gar nicht gecheckt wo es genau liegt, nur nahe an Puerto de la Cruz. Das stimmt auch. Mit dem Auto ist man super schnell in Puerto. Dort kann man auf dem großen kostenlosen Parkplatz am Hafen parken und eines der vielen Restaurants ansteuern.
Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Ruhe haben wir dennoch nicht viel gefunden, da die Autobahn sehr laut war und das Zimmer eiskalt. Teils gab es auch kein warmes Wasser im Bad.
Zusätzlich war der Service im Hotel schlecht, eigenltich gar nicht vorhanden. Die Zimmer wurden kein einziges mal gemacht. Die Belegschaft/Eigentümer sind nur da wenn jemand anreist. Bei der Abreise kann man sich mit einer der Damen, die das Frühstück machen, wegen der Rechnung rumschlagen. Das Frühstück ist für kanarische Verhältnisse mit 7,50€/p.P. wucher - vor allem für das Angebot.
In Summe trotz des schönen Stils und der nähe zu Puerto de la Cruz nicht zu empfehlen.

Fantastisk smukt og fredeligt hotel i kolonistil
Hotellet er meget fredeligt med frodig have. Meget autentisk indretning. Venlig betjening og rigtig god morgenmad.
Super, hvis man søger uturistet sted med fred og ro. Den nærliggende by har to restauranter, og man kan fint gå langs det brølende Atlanterhav til Los Silos, der har flere restauranter og i øvrigt er meget hyggelig og et rigtig godt udgangspunkt for smukke vandrerture.
Vi var meget uheldige med vejret. Det var usædvanligt koldt i februar, og så er der også for koldt/klamt indendørs på hotellet
