Overall, the room was clean. Minus a dirty face towel that was left hanging over the shower curtain. However, I can look past that. The bed was by far the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I got the best sleep of my life. It also helped that the hotel was quiet. Everything was great! I'd definitely stay there again, for sure!

I was parking my car a man backed a work truck across sidewalk right in front of me. He reaked of weed. There were alot of men hanging around the back of the building. I did not feel safe at all. I had someone come stay with me so I would not be alone.

The snack bar was pathetic to say the least.

I had to be moved from original room because a/c did not work properly. TV did not work either.

I was very disappointed. I always thought it looked nice enough from street.

Besides the bathroom door didn’t lock, & we booked a king size bed/suite only to find out after we checked in that it wasn’t available. Due to someone not checking out in time. So we had to get a queen size bed/suite. Other than that the hotel was clean, & friendly staff. Many food restaurants & stores are close by. :)

Pulling up to property we noticed mold on outside of the building coming from AC units, but thought maybe it was cleaner inside. It was not. While the check in process was speedy and the desk clerk was friendly, that was the only good thing. There was dog hair all over, in the hallway as well as all over the room floor, curtains, etc. Took my shoes off and my socks were covered in pet hair. It may be my bad for not checking pet policy, but I have allergies and it was horrible the smell and hair all over. Worse than the dog hair was the stench of dog pee in the room. There were several dusty surfaces as if most of the room (barhroom sink, dresser drawers, tv area) was not cleaned, appearing as if only sheets and towels were changed between guests. It is a suite so there was a stove top that had burned food caked in the burners. There were dogs barking all night long and it smelled like there were marijuana plants growing in the room next to us the smell of smoke was so strong. There was a ring of grim in the bathtub, again, as if the rooms are not actually cleaned. Worst part was when I went to pull the shower curtain back and a dried, crusty, used wash cloth fell from the rod. At that moment we canceled our stay to relocate to another MUCH nicer hotel in the area. we chose a hotel in Flowood assuming it had to be nicer than Jackson proper, this was not the case. I wont stay at another Candelwood and this may be the end of all IHG hotels for me.

3rd room finally was good enough

I rented 2 rooms & the one my son's family checked into, smelled, they told the manager & he said they've been having trouble with mold & moved them to another room, that room's toilet was plugged up, so he gave them a 3rd room.
We feel that we should get a credit back on at least half of the cost, for what we went through.

I have stayed here several times and love the location. However, the last time their system was down and the wifi didnt work.I usually look over technical issue beyond their control. They made us write down our card number to charge the room when the system was back up.

Fast forward my debit card was used in several location around the hotel after I left. I called my bank to cancel my card WHILE I'M OUT OF TOWN IN TEXAS. That's right I'm stranded with no debit card because you employ thieves.

Mind you the room was not charged still. I checked out Sunday on Christmas and they went on a shopping spree on Wednesday.

I tried to call the hotel to report and their phones are
were down.

I only used this card for that room. I function on cash the whole Christmas break except for that room.

A police report has been filed. I am LIVID.

The property is fantastic. But the room I was in had a few issues that if I were staying for more than a night, I would have not liked. The outlet near the bed only had one part that worked. My shower did not drain and there was hair in it from another person's stay. There was a large stain on the carpet near the air conditioner. You practically have to slam the door to shut it, which disturbs the hall because the walls are so thin.

The front desk lady never got up in the 3 times I went to the desk, first upon arrival at 2:45 rudely told me that room wouldn’t be ready until 4. When I came back at 4 to check in, still stayed at desk. When I checked out today, same lady and same thing, stayed at desk which was a good distance from counter. Man that had the night shift was very friendly and was at the counter each time I saw him. Our air was not working but I didn’t complain for that, the guest laundry room was not the cleanest but the man at front desk was kind and gave me the tip to do a rinse cycle before I washed our things.

Nightmare Hotel

Had issues with my card key working after checking in and had to keep getting it reprogrammed. Colleague and I went to dinner and came back around 11 pm and both our keys didn't work again. No one was at the front desk. Called corporate customer service and they didn't help at all.

After a couple of hours, a person that's been living/staying in the hotel for awhile heard us and told us no one works the front desk at night and people end up sleeping in the lobby until the morning front desk person comes in around 7 am. This person knew of people that are employed by the hotel that live in the hotel and they were able to get one of these people to reprogram our keys.

During this time, other people needed soap, towels, etc. and the front desk phone was constantly ringing. I've been traveling for the military for decades and never had a situation like this occur. This is totally unacceptable and corporate should shut them down due to the customer neglect and unsecure building. Never stay here.

I like the hotel it’s self due to the convenience. However, it was really out dated and every time we opened our door, it sounded like the metal was scraping the floors. It was extremely loud. Also, the didn’t change the toilet paper out.

Building does not feature controlled access for guests. Exterior doors to hotel were not secure, allowing transient people to come and go as they pleased — even though they were not guests. These rent-free individuals felt comfortable enough on the property to approach guests in the parking lot. Additionally, the front desk was often left unattended. Odd mix of yellow light and white light bulbs throughout the property (sometimes in the same fixture), reinforced the feeling of complacency from the staff. None of the remotes in our room worked & the window in our room had been left open when we first entered. There was paint peeling from the ceiling, and the furniture is pretty beat up. The “marketplace” closes at night & there are ZERO vending machines, so make sure to get any snacks or drinks you might want before settling for the evening. We appreciate pet-friendly accommodations, but only when the grounds are, at least, somewhat maintained. The green spaces were covered in dog waste and large ant beds. Could have paid about $45 less and received comparable accommodation elsewhere. This place is… OK, and the security concerns will make you feel uneasy only a few times. You brought mace, right?

When we checked in we was put in a smoking room even though we did not want one. We was told that's all they had. And we had already paid online for the room. We arrived at 10:30ish. And upon entering the room it was overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana and smoke. The air conditioner didn't work properly. We did not recieved towels until after midnight. We have contacted management and recieved no help at all. I am so glad we had a blanket in the vehicle because the blanket in the bed was gross. Never Never again will we make the mistake of staying here. I would never suggest this hotel to anyone.

This place needs a serious update. When we arrived the kitchen floor was sticky. There wasn't any soap for the sink. The utensils consisted of 2 forks and one butter knife. The carpet was torn and dirty. When I complained about the lack of soap and sticky floor I was told \"sorry but we are out of soap and the floor is sticky because it was mopped with new soap.\" The bathroom floor wasn't sticky. There were also a few crawling insects inside. The bed was comfortable and the t.v. worked but the microwave didn't work.. We stay here last April and we didn't have any of these issues other than a lack of utensils.

This is such an old and dirty facility. The bedsheets had so much of someone’s hair that I had to go buy my own sheets from Walmart. The shower wouldn’t drain and we had to stand in a puddle of water while we showered. The carpet felt and looked like it was mud. I would never stay here again and recommend that no one else either.

Check in was supposed to be 4:00 pm, which is rather late. However, the rooms were not ready when I arrived @ 4:15 pm. the clerk said to give them at least an hour before they would have rooms available. I booked 2 rooms and asked for them to be near but that didn't happen. They were on separate floors.
