I booked this stay through Hotels.com. After a 3½-hour drive, I arrived at the property and was told the pool was closed. Before traveling, I had called to confirm that the pool was open and was assured that it was.

When I spoke with the front desk employee, who said he was the regional general manager, he was very rude and dismissive. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, he simply said he could refund my money and that I could leave.

The room itself was okay, but it needed several repairs. Overall, the property wasn't too bad, but the poor customer service completely overshadowed the stay. Based on my experience,

Location & staff were great but rooms need updating. There is a loose tile in toilet room & door needed cleaned on back side & will not shut completely. All the doors in bed/bath area need oiled as they all squeaked. Also smelled moldy in that area.

Hard to get over the smell of marijuana in the lobby and pool area.
Carpeting in room was worn thin and ripped in some areas. Room had a musty smell.
Sprinkler in the bathroom was hanging down with duct tape.
Electricity throughout hotel was out for almost three hours our first night there but we were not offered any compensation. When I asked about late checkout due to scheduling of an event, we were told that we were not members, so that would not be possible.

PROS:
- Staff was generally cordial

CONS:
- Told elevator not working AFTER check-in. Finally repaired in the evening.
- Bedroom door would not close due to warped floor; I could not close it my entire stay!
- Bathroom door also scraping floor, but it was movable.
- Shower stall doors would not stay closed; both doors would slide open to showerhead end, thus allowing water to splash and spray onto the bathroom floor, creating a mess.
- No stopper for kitchen sink
- Poorly maintained chair upholstery.
- Lower kitchen cabinets in repair
- Dust & debris coming from AC vent.
- Vague &/or changing explanations given when issues in need of attention were mentioned;
- Tried to post video, but only pictures were accepted for this review.
- Etc etc…..The stay felt like wasted money!

Front desk manager, Ms. Walker, was not friendly at all. Seemed like she would be irritated if you asked a question. Had a broken office chair in the room and had to ask multiple times before it was replaced. Room was \"ok\" but not the best representation for a Marriott hotel. Housekeeping and maintenance staff were pleasant. Front desk staff, so-so. Main elevator had issues as well. Would not recommend this location at all. Between frosty hotel manager, sub-par amenities and run down looking property, a big NO.

Room wasn’t ready for about a hour after check in time. Check in staff was nonchalant about the situation. The fireplace could not be turned off and the regular heating system was set at 75 degrees tops. That caused the living area to overheat and the bedroom not to get any heat from the fireplace or the regular heating system. The furniture was worn out and really need replacing. The early morning staff was much more professional.

I checked in the day before Thanksgiving. The lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas. I was given room 101 a one bedroom suite. Walked up to the door and a blue garbage can is outside the door. Walked in, the room is outdated ( not a big deal). The issue :the fireplace didnt work( paid extra for a room with a fireplace) the bathroom door didnt close at all ( while taking a shower the door is open, the tv in the bedroom didnt come on. Irritated, went back into the living area to call the front desk and the phone didnt work either. Walked up there to the lobby and maintenence followed me back to the room. He concluded that the gas was cut off from the fireplace ( so no fireplace) and he worked on the tv and eventually went and got another remote and that one issue was fixed. The next day at check out I recieved a call on my cell reminding me checkout was at 12. Because she couldnt call the room
. I overheard the night before that the hotel was starting renovations. Understood, but I feel like I was basically put in one of the worst rooms they had. The hotel had plenty of rooms available.

Staff members were friendly, no issues there. Apparently we were booked on a floor with active construction, room doors down the hall were left open giving me safety concerns. One of our rooms booked :315: had paint on floors and badly faded furniture, her pull out couch smelled like urine inside so we didn’t use them at all,316. Had stains in the refrigerator, badly faded furniture and hot water was like warm. Dishes were also dirty in the cabinets. We were tired had been traveling and just decided to deal with it for the two days instead of complaining.

This was my second time to stay. I like the room accommodations but it desperately needs an update. Room doors are heavy and hard to open and close. Furniture is kind of outdated. We never could figure out when the pool was open or closed. They were having issues with it. The side door which was close to our room didn't work with our key card and we had to walk around to the front of the hotel to get in several times. The room was clean, the staff was great and the food was good. I would probably stay again. What issues they were dealing with on this trip will probably be fixed by my next trip. The main issue is that it is just an old hotel that needs an update. They did have signs on the table in the lobby that an update was coming.

Let me start by saying I would definitely stay here again. However, they were renovating and if they did my room it was sloppy. The tile on the floor before the bathroom came up if you stepped on it the wrong way. The dishwasher wasn’t attached. It came away from the counter out if you rolled the bottom drawer out. The shower door wouldn’t stay closed. Maintenance came to fix it but it still wouldn’t stay closed. Breakfast was the BOMB!!!! The staff was phenomenal!!! And the property was clean inside and out! Fix it up, please!

Overnight stay traveling through…happy to find a place and the price was good but the condition of the room was certainly not up to par for the Residence Inn. There was a lot of water damage…bubbling wall paper, furniture damage, broken mirror and the bathroom door stuck and made a terrible noise when opening and closing.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable but the heating system was very noisy and woke us throughout the night. We would recommend not renting this room until it is updated!
The breakfast in the morning was good and the service personnel at the front desk was pleasant.
