The continental breakfast was poorly stocked, and there were hardly any guests eating at the time I was there. They were out of cups, bowls for the oatmeal, out of milk and bacon/sausage. Also the eggs were not even warm. We had to wait forever for someone to come out and stock everything, and when the breakfast stocker did come out she just complained when we mentioned to to her like we were bothering her. I stay in a lot of Hyatt Places and this was one of the worst for continental breakfast we have ever had.

My only complaint is there is no microwave in your room so everytime you have to warm food you have to go downstairs to the breakfast area and there are no meat options other than pork.

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Hyatt Regency. While I want to give credit where it’s due, the staff was friendly, professional, and did their best to accommodate me by switching my room the condition of the hotel itself was unacceptable.

The first room was dirty and poorly maintained, so I requested a different room. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better. There were cleanliness issues, damaged finishes, loose trim, missing or broken flooring, mold or mildew around the baseboards, and signs of deferred maintenance throughout the bathroom. It simply didn’t feel like the quality you’d expect from a Hyatt Regency.

For the price I paid, I expected a clean, well maintained room. Instead, I honestly felt like I could have stayed at a Motel 6 and received the same level of comfort while saving a significant amount of money.

The employees were the bright spot of my stay they were courteous, helpful, and genuinely tried to make things right. However, great customer service can’t make up for rooms that are not being properly cleaned or maintained.

I hope management invests in renovating and maintaining the property because the staff deserves a hotel that reflects the level of service they provide. Until then, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again

The hotel is in a great location, close to everything. The Wi-Fi was fast and easy to connect to since no password was required.

The hotel was fairly clean, but there was a strong odor throughout the hallways. I’m not sure if it was from cleaning products or because the hotel is pet-friendly.

The room was comfortable, but it could use a microwave for guests who want to reheat leftovers. There also wasn’t enough coffee provided, and neither the room nor the bathroom trash cans had liners. The complimentary breakfast was just okay—not bad, but not great either. It could definitely be improved.

The biggest disappointment was the pool. The posted hours said it opened at 6:00 a.m., but it was still locked at 9:00 a.m. We were told to come back at 10:00 because it needed cleaning, but it was still closed when we returned.

The front desk staff could also be friendlier. During check-in and when we asked a question later, we didn’t feel very welcomed or acknowledged.

I’ve stayed at other Hyatt hotels and have always had great experiences, which is why I chose this one. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t meet my expectations, but I hope these issues can be improved because the hotel has a lot of potential.

Jerome Kirk - Standard Room, 1 King Bed

Hello Kareen Mostafa,
Hotel rooms were not acceptable, checked into room 406 on June 12th , room was not clean and had broken glass on closet mirror and dead bugs in bathroom.
Moved to new room 627, room was cleaner , (had to wipe night table off , had liquid on it ) room had no blackout shade, we had the lights from I-55 all night and sunlight at the crack of dawn
We spent one night and checked out. I would like a refund for the remaining 2 nights I paid for.
The desk staff did the best they could.
Please let me know your position on this matter , I have not posted any reviews at this time.

Regards,
Jerome Kirk

The lady that checked us in was very sweet and helpful (Tiki I believe was her name)
First thing I mentioned was about several reviews I had seen. I ask her to make sure we were not billed twice. We were there June 17th only but this morning my card sent a message saying they had charged me again.
Our stay was good but we had already paid Expedia which would have been cheaper if we had booked directly through the Hotel by $50.00
I had reserved a room with 2 Queen Beds but they gave us a room with one King Bed which we did fine. We would probably stay there again and reserve the room directly through the hotel. I’m a 100% Disabled Veteran so don’t need additional problems.

Do not stay at this property.

Due to a computer error, I was never properly checked in. When I returned after a full day of work, I discovered that hotel staff had entered my room, removed my belongings, and locked me out. I was then charged for a night I did not stay at the hotel.

Because there were no available rooms to correct the situation, I was forced to find another hotel at additional expense and inconvenience.

What is even more troubling is how both the hotel and Hyatt handled the situation afterward. Hyatt Corporate specifically instructed me not to return to the hotel and assured me they would resolve the issue directly. I was told I would receive a response within 24–48 hours.

It has now been 12 days. I have called Hyatt seven times, and each time I was told that someone would contact me. No one has called. No one has followed up. No one has taken responsibility.

Kareem, the manager who checked me in and spoke with me the morning of the incident, never contacted me to apologize or attempt to resolve the matter.

The lack of customer service, accountability, communication, and concern for guests is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Hyatt Place Ridgeland. If something goes wrong during your stay, don't expect prompt assistance from either hotel management or corporate customer care.

Stay elsewhere.

Our stay at Hyatt Place was horrible! It was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. When we got there the closest door was cracked and we couldn’t close it. The floors were very dirty and one of my blankets had a huge hole in it. On the first day only one of the beds got set, so the next day I wrote a note that said “please set my bed this time. Thank you!”Instead of setting both beds The housekeeping people barely even went in the room. They just put some towels on the side of the couch and didn’t set the beds. One night at 3 A.M. the AC turned on and blasted cold air. The muffins were so over priced! I rate this hotel 1/2 of a star. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I DEMAND my money back!

Hyatt Place is an excellent and convenient place to stay. My only hesitation to give it 5 stars is one imperfection. We stayed on the side facing east. It is directly facing I-55, and the noise coming from traffic on I-55 is not conducive to a good night's rest. Other than that, the hotel is very, very clean and the amenities are many.

The room that we received had mold on the bathroom ceiling, the shower and bathroom floor grout was stained and looked unclean, the toilet wasn't working properly, there was a large crack in the bathroom sink, there was hair that did not belong to us on the lamp, fixtures had rust, they painted over spots on the ceiling that look different than the rest of the ceiling, the lighting in the bathroom was awful. The bathroom door would not stay open and it's a really tight bathroom. The caulking in the bathroom is probably the worst caulking job I've ever seen. You could see where they took down the overhead light and just put a cover plate on. One bedside light did not work. One light over the sofa did not work. When I tried talking to the manager the next morning they said he was not available. The person that checked us out got my phone number and said she would have the manager call me. I even showed her pictures and she asked me to send them to her phone which I did. He did not call me. She told me rooms had been renovated and that it should not have been in that condition. I called three times over the span of a couple of weeks and he would not return my call. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend this hotel.

no filters.. It is a Hyatt so as far as appearances, they are all there.. A good-looking place, modern, with Free breakfast in the AM. Aside from that, there was only one person attending the reception, as well as the bar and the mall kitchen offering a small menu. The place was busy when I got there at least 3 deep, and it never slowed down. I came down later after going up to my room to have a beer and a burger, bit the attendant was still tied up checking in desk, so I waited about 10 minutes without even a recognition I was sitting at the bar.
MAKE Sure you ask for a room on the opposite side of the HIGHWAY, because I tell you, the traffic passing in front of my room was so loud, I barely got ANY SLEEP...
