The room had the basics and reminded me of a vacant dorm room where the chairs (industrial metal framed chairs) were still upside down on top of the desk - assumedly for ease of moping the floor. The refrigerator was filthy. The TV kept freezing so it was impossible to watch a movie. The walls are also super thin, you can hear everything outside and in the hall.

Checking in attendant had a bad attitude. I asked for a pet free room since i have major allergies. I was told the whole place was pet friendly. Going to the room, we smelled cigarette smoke. I had to wear a mask. My grandson was affected by the room also and he has no allergies. Heard highway traffic all night along with other people using tv. Seems to have really thin walls. Very disappointed. Would not recommend or stay again. Check out attendant was very nice.

I have never stayed in a hotel with such a lack of amenities. I arrived a little after 5pm and the front desk was closed. There is a sign in the lobby to call for someone to come do the check-in. I was handed my room key and was told that this is an extended stay hotel with families, children and pets so don't be surprised or annoyed if there is noise. Fair point.

I get in my room and there is exactly 1 tiny bar of soap and nothing else. No shampoo, shower gel/wash, lotion. The worse part was that there was no hair dryer. When I inquired, I was told that they have no hair dryers in this hotel. I was shocked as I have never had to travel with one in 30 years. So I had to go to the store to buy one. As an extended stay hotel, I expected some bare minimum amenities.

Although I didn't need it, why have a kitchen but no dishes, utensils, cookware, dish soap, paper towels, etc? FYI - there are limited rooms that do have them so make sure you select that type of room when booking.

The bath towels were thread-bare. There was only a bath towel and wash cloth (no hand towels) and you needed to bring them down to the front to exchange for fresh ones. In 4 days, the elevator floor had not been vacuumed. And the room had a lingering smokey smell (like maybe it wasn't always a non-smoking room).

This is the most self-service type of hotel I have ever been in where all you can expect is a bed. Even the most basic motel provides more than this.

I have rarely left a bad review, but this hotel earned it in spades.

Lobby: Small lobby that is not always staffed, even in the normal business day. There was no coffee, as the listing says it has. The elevator reeked of marijuana smell. It was so bad our entire stay, we took the stairs every chance we could. The second floor hallways also stunk of weed.

Room: The floor was sticky, the trim around the bathtub had come completely off, there was no TV remote in the room (a staffer later brought one), there was only two rough bath towels, one bar of soap, and no other bathroom amenities. No coffeemaker, no cups, no hairdryer, nothing every other major hotel would have, and only two pillows. The AC worked well enough. The shower never got hot, only slightly above room temperature warm.

Environment: Dogs barked in the hallways at all hours of the night, shouting and loud talking in the hallways all the time, and the general stink was throughout the hotel.

We will never stay in this place again. I cannot strongly enough warn everyone against it.

Woodspring Suites in Baymeadows has been a great stay.

Shonda, the event coordinator, made sure we felt Woodspring Suites was our home, away from home. Her Easter Party was amazing.

I highly recommend booking a night or a week, as we did, because you won’t regret it.

The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. Amber, helped us and was very professional, as all the staff have been!

Couldn't check in until someone came to let me in. Staff informed me that management had made decision to keep door locked 24/7. Only one elevator for building. About 50-60 rooms per floor, real fire hazard. Building located 50 ft from I-295, constant road noise. No luggage dollies or ice machines. Will never stay here again .

The room I rented wasn't the one I had, people were smoking in the stairwells, my son has lung problems and was extremely uncomfortable. The elevator wasn't working either. I wouldn't recommend for anyone just needing a place to stay between appointments at mayo.

The check in staff was pleasant. The room had dead bugs and was dirty. It smelled terrible. The bed was a VERY soft some kind of mattress no boxspring. I mean like pillow soft no support at all. Not comfortable at all. They close the desk as in pull down metal gate at 5 and you have to dial 500 to get assistance and have never seen that before in all my travels. My husband is not picky and he didn’t want to stay there either. It is non refundable so we just left and got another hotel. Would not recommend.

Upon my arrival they were doing cleanings of the a/c/'s but I honestly think they worked better prior to the cleanings..The only complaint here is that people keep over packing the washers and dryers therefore causing a fire. The alarm in everyone's room goes off late at night scaring everyone..This has happened 4 times in our 1 month stay here on top of the monthly fire alarm testings. So that's the only complaint I have.

Bones for the price this hotel was great. The front desk lady was super helpful and let me know upon arrival that my room was on the first floor and since I was traveling alone if I would be more comfortable on another floor she would move me. The room was good so I didn’t feel the need but it was good to be offered. Bed was surprisingly comfy and the room was clean. No complaints here :)

This extended stay is very fresh clean and quiet. I've been here 2 weeks and besides all these notes they are putting on the door to enter room for AC cleaning and test smoke detectors it's been nice quite and peaceful. Close to highways restaurants gas stations n restaurants. Great area!

I checked in, made it up to the room, noticed that it hadn't been swept or mopped, and ended up not staying. It also smelled like the room had been smoked in. Lots of people just kind of meandering around the property as well. I didn't feel very safe.

Thanks to Expedia for stepping in — they did their job.

The hotel in the other hand: Closed. Abandoned. Unsafe.

I arrived at 10:30 PM and found the front desk shut behind a metal screen, no staff, no check-in, just a sign with a phone number that no one answered. I waited outside over an hour. Another couple was also stranded. People were yelling in the parking lot looking for lost children.

I never entered the room. I paid for nothing.
Even a roadside motel has 24-hour check-in. This place is a joke — and a dangerous one.

I have no proof at this is a shelter, but no doubts either.

I’m considering legal action.

Shame on you!!!! You shouldn’t be operating!!!!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, it was a very uncomfortable and unsatisfying experience. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work properly—it would run for less than two minutes and then shut off. I brought the issue to the front desk, but the representative told me, “that’s how the AC is.” No offer to check the unit, switch my room, or find a solution.

Being stuck in a hot, stuffy room for two nights made it hard to sleep and really took away from what should’ve been a relaxing stay. I expected basic comfort and at least some effort to address my concern, but that didn’t happen.

Would not recommend staying here unless the AC situation is resolved and the customer service improves.

Honey!!! I almost turn around as fast as I entered. No one was at the front so I waited 30+ minutes after having to call their phone and let them know I was waiting. Then the receptionist never showed her face she decided to lift the window. Guard up just enough for me to just see her hands. It was giving weird, I needed up calling more people to come with me cause the vibe was off and I had my children. The beds are very hard so if you like a firm mattress you are good. Overall okay I guess.

Hotels.com's virtual card did not work and it took 2hrs of trying to get it done and we had to end up paying onsite for the room. I was super tired and annoyed with the process after paying upfront and having the issues with the payment which was NOT my fault so regardless of the hotel the check-in experience was AWFUL!!!
