Great options for dining and shopping.

Pros:
1. Very convenient location. Walking distance to the main attractions, markets and food places.
2. Good mattress and black out curtains.
3. The owners were nice and let us leave our bags for the whole day, as our flight was after midnight, which was great.
Cons:
1. We stayed in a number of Turkish hotels and they all had better breakfast buffet. There was no meat of any kind for 4 days. Very limited hot food. One day it opened with 20 small pieces of börek with cheese and until the last small piece was gone, there were no new pieces added. Most guests came at the opening to avoid running out of choices. Just vegetables, cheese and boiled eggs, bread and jams. Very limited desert options with no traditional Turkish deserts.
2. Very inconvenient as there no serviettes on tables, you had to ask if you need one.
3. We had a very loud machinery noise from behind of bathroom window like big aircon unit was working. It was Impossible to sleep without earplugs.
4. We had to carry our two 20 kg luggage on level 4 as there were no lifts to some room, make sure you ask where your room is if you are not athlete.

The place is nicely located for tourist needs, unfortunately the room AC unit was very old and did not blow any cold air causing it to be very warm. Towels could be upgraded as they are no longer white. Do not have standard bath amenities for hotel, just liquid soap. Breakfast was good and view was good. With so many other hotel options in Istanbul, I would not stay here again.

Cleanest hotel I’ve ever been in!!! Many small and walkable restaurants just slightly off the beaten path. 8 mins to the mosque and the walk is really well used so I’d say SUPER SAFE. The ONLY downside was the AC. At best… the room was still 78-80 degrees. We tried turbo, had the desk look at it, it just stayed… warm but not hot. For reference at home in summer I do 73. If you’re from the south and can sleep in 80 than this hotel is PERFECT!!!! So whatever their AC achieved was considerably higher. Maybe a faulty room but if you aren’t use to very warm rooms… wouldn’t chance it. But the absolute cleanest place and super walkable!!!!

This place is perfectly located in a vibrant, tourist-friendly area, just a short walk from restaurants, attractions, and the bazaar. The rooms are cozy and spotless, and the bathrooms are very clean and well-maintained. We arrived at 5 a.m. due to an early flight, and they were incredibly accommodating—offering us a room at a very reasonable rate.

Can at the front desk was especially wonderful—professional, approachable, and always welcoming us with a warm smile. If I could give more than five stars, I would! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic and comfortable stay in Istanbul.

We stayed 2 nights and were really happy with our choice. Hotel is in an amazingly quiet street, yet just a few minutes’ walk from the Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet Square. We had booked a Deluxe Double room for £68 per night including breakfast and were allocated room 105 just above reception which had a king size bed plus twin beds through an alcove so was very spacious - plenty of room for luggage. It was a very bright room despite the windows looking out on other buildings. Very comfortable bed, good shower, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi and 2 aircon units, plus a complementary bottle of water and a note saying further water would be chargeable.
Breakfast was served in the covered section of the lovely roof terrace and offered a good continental selection of cheeses (no meat), salad, fruit, bread and cakes, plus a hot dish each day, eg Meneme eggs one day and a filo pastry the other. In the open air section of the roof terrace there were a number of comfortable soft chairs to relax and enjoy the stunning view out over the Bosphorus. It was a shame that the hotel didn’t have a bar to make better use of this wonderful area, as there was not an option to buy drinks in the hotel.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking good English and providing us with directions to a pharmacy when needed and arranging transport back to the airport. Recommend Rainbow restaurant opposite for dinner - great food, friendly staff.

A very charming, small hotel in very close walking distance to many of Istanbul's most famous sights. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. A very good breakfast is included.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and all their recommendations for what to see and do, as well as guides and trips we're spot on
There is room for some upgrading of some of the fittings and the bed was a not super comfortable but nothing to detract from highly recommending this hotel.

great location. the rooms not as nice as in photos. No long mirror in the room to see outfit, one mirror in the bathroom so you can't put make up or do your hair if bathroom is busy, no kettle ( I like to make my tea as soon as I wake up and before I go to bed) not convieniet to go to the main kitchen area for that, I asked for one and they suggested I use the common area foe that, no iron, no night stand on both sides of the bed (double/queen bed, I'm not talking about a single bed), low bed (too low in my opinion). didn't clean the room once during my stay.
it's a clean hotel, great location but not excellent with their room features.

Our room was in the front of the hotel and there are many small restaurants around the hotel. So it was noisy with music until about 12 midnight. It’s better to ask them for a room on the back. The TV was not working and they could not fix it. They were short staffed and the receptionist guy was doing everything on his own. The receptionist was helpful in guiding us where to go during our 2 day stay. The hotel location is good - everything is close by.

Cute hotel centrally located for exploring main tourist spots on foot. 5-10 minute walk to Basilica cistern, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque. 15-20 minute walk to Bazaars and Bosphorus ferries. 1 bedroom suite was comfortable, clean and spacious for 3. Air conditioning in both rooms worked well. Daily breakfast on roof top was simple but adequate nourishment to get your day started. Ask for room in back; you won’t hear noises from street at night.

The room was in the basement and had windows that opened onto the street. It was so noisy I might as well have been sleeping on the sidewalk. The bathroom was actually a wet room and there wasn’t so much as a bar of soap. Even if there had been there would have been no place to put it while showering but the floor. Even though I had been traveling since the day before I chose not to shower. The room smelled musty and stale. I also left something hanging in my room when I left. I sent an email to the hotel via Expedia to arrange to have it sent back and the hotel never responded. It was a long denim dress/jacket and I guess someone wanted to keep it.

It is a unique hotel because it has character. The location is the best. Close to trams .
Breakfast is super. The chef does an excellent job. Yummy cake. Rooftop terrace overlooks the blue mosque.Beautiful at night when lit up.
The entire staff is so warm and kind. My husband was sick and Joseph prepared him a special tea with honey Last but maybe the best part is the wonderful cats everywhere. One was sleeping right outside the entrance to the hotel. Then there is all the lovely birds in the garden trees. The sea gulls are super watching them soar in the air. The sea is so close the air is fresh. . Highly recommend this hotel

We loved the location of this property. It's really close to almost all the main tourist attractions in Istanbul and has lots of dining options just steps from the Hotel.

Best of all was the staff, they went out of their way to help us have a great experience in Istanbul. Mustafa in particular was super helpful in giving us tips and advice as to where to go and what to do.

Other than that, the room was really clean and comfortable, and the daily breakfast was great.

The hotel needs a bit of a freshening up. The rug in the room was curling at the edges and was a trip hazard, the curtains did not close completely, some of the towels had holes in them, the room was tired but clean. There was a lack of toiletries. The breakfast as far as Turkish breakfast go was disappointing. The location however was amazing. The staff were the biggest plus. They were very helpful and Aydin Bey went out over and above what is expected to help when one our party became ill.

top two issues

Main issue was the key situation and that not all the facilities were running such as the rooftop view/bar. The staff was great and location was great. But one of the main reasons i booked was to enjoy the top floor when im back at the hotel relaxing. With the key it was a security issue. Whenever i would retrieve my key no id check was made and it was a new employee every time so i knew it was a recognize thing. Anyone could have come off the street and asked for my room key. As they rightly pointed out, they have a master key so its not an issue of staff trying to get into the room in emergencies and they need the key. Need to sort this out as its a big issue. Other than that the free wine was good and breakfast included was a nice touch.
