From the moment you step through the neoclassical mural façade of Chaplin, Monroe, Hepburn, and Sinatra, a new experience arises. Enter Madera Hollywood and be enchanted by the pizazz of this boutique hotel, located in the heart of SoHo district.
Here you can experience the opulence of Hollywood's golden age in our 38 one-bedroom suites, elegantly composed in the Hollywood Regency style favored by the stars and complemented by the finest modern amenities. Due to the essential maintenance work on the power supply of whole premises required by Hong Kong Electric, the power supply for Hotel Madera Hollywood will be temporarily suspended on 19 November 2024 (Tuesday) from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

I stay here every time I come to HK for work, which is a few times per year. The staff go above and beyond to be helpful. Having an apartment in the city means a break away from the craziness when you need it and facilities that mean you don’t need to eat out for every meal. The gym is sufficient for when you’re away from home, lounge is great and I will continue to stay here. My only constructive request would be to upsize to king size beds when they need to replace them and perhaps a topper upon request but otherwise it is pretty much perfect!

The Madera Hollywood is the best and in the center of activity, close to transportation such as rail, ferries etc. The escalator to Midlevels is one block away. The cafes and more are the best. The hotel is boutique, unique different and very special. We were really happy and very well looked after. We stayed another 10 days after our first week because the hotel was so good. It’s more than a hotel because of its apartment style design.

The Madera exceeded our expectations. It was large and spacious unlike many of the other hotels we have stayed at in Hong Kong.AC worked great. It had all the amenities and storage space you need. It was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. It is on Hollywood Rd, so it is within walking distance to almost anything you need. We will stay there the next time we are in Hong Kong.

We had a suite which was a good size and had some nice amenities like a Nespresso coffee machine , microwave and mobile phone . There’s even a washing machine . The bathroom
is large with a walk-in shower . There’s a Marks and Spencer Food Hall close by and there’s lots of bars , cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep .

Hollywood Road is central to a lot of good shopping, eating and drinking. But the room smelled terribly of bad foot odor, and the floor rug and ottoman were disgusting with stains.

Interesting area- a melting of old school Chinese and new funky Chinese. Concierge is a separate entry from the lift lobby so when you exit and enter your room you don’t go past the concierge. Hence, this is suited to more independent travellers who don’t want staff in their faces all the time yet if you need help it is still there- worked perfectly for us. The lifts were decorated like the inside of a coffin with plush red fabric- should have used reflective surfaces to make the lift feel larger

Madera has gone a bit cheap on the toiletries - house keeping seems reluctant to put a new bottle of shower gel/shampoo unless its completely empty. I booked a room for two and they gave me one little bottle of each...
More importantly, they put less the in room fridge.
Even worse they dont fully stock the lounge bar anymore.
Sure some people do take more, but dont let them ruin your image...just raise the room prices slightly to reflect your increased costs.
They've got these signs in the room saying they will charge you obnoxious prices for items if you take them - like towels and hair dryers etc. I would never take these but its a bit off putting for a hotel that did project a high end hotel.
Just leave a sticker on it saying do not take home...

OMG amazing in a great neighbourhood
Stayed in a Chaplin suite which has a good sized room with separate wardrobe/dressing area. A large bathroom with rain shower and body jets. Shampoo was a combined condition one which I initially thought was awful but did leave my hair soft after drying. Separate lounge and kitchenette was great. My friend stayed in another hotel in the same neighbourhood and it was decidedly more 'cozy' (it was also fractionally cheaper but for value for money I would choose the Madera) hers felt like a hotel room but this felt like an apartment. Great stay and convenient to the escalators but with a French bar just across the road this was a really fun place to stay close to the action.

Building has been renovated and design is great, but the windows were not replaced and they are not sound insulated. Light does not turn off in kitchen area. Electronic drapes work sporadically. Temperature difficult to regulate and even on 23rd floor heard street noise all night.

I stayed at Madera while I was living in Hong Kong for six months. I highly recommend the property. The rooms are extremely comfortable, clean, stylish and well appointed. The staff (especially Aaron!) were incredibly kind and helpful. The location cannot be beat. Would recommend it for anything from a weekend or long-term stay!

Great location. Tons of bars and restaurants. It gets busy outside hotel and you will hear noise from street or music from jazz club but it ended before midnight. Room is big ... living area, kitchenett, separate bedroom with small changing room ... lots of closet space. Dual sinks and the shower is awesome!

For the price, this was a great little hotel. It doesn't have the large lobby of a name hotel but otherwise was a great find. Room was well appointed with kitchenette. It also seemed to be new or newly renovated. There were some spots that don't seem to have been cleaned well. The gym is a nice touch but also feels a little dark. And one treadmill didn't work while the other wouldn't connect to the tv. But overall I'd stay here again given the price for quality (newness) and location.
