Our stay in ohio required a hotel stay. We chose holiday inn based on previous stays at other locations. When we arrived we were told the elevator was not working. Disappointing but definitely not tragic. The lobby was clean, presentable, staff not overly friendly or helpful. Once we lugged our luggage up 4 flights of stairs we were met with a door that took forever to get the key to register and gaps all around. Eh, again we will live. Room was clean and presentable. We purchased water and put in the mini fridge and it promptly froze. Again, nothing terrible but worth mentioning. The most disappointing thing was returning to the hotel after a long day at the hospital tending to my father; we were greeted by the front desk associate standing at the entrance puffing away on his cigarette. I am allergic to cigarette smoke, covered my face and held my breath as i noted the various signs telling guests not to smoke there. Highly disappointing. My breakfast was very good. Quite pleased with the selection. The lady and gentleman manning the kitchen and dining area were magnificent and made our breakfast time very enjoyable. All in all a decent place to stay but we will think twice about staying here again

The pool needs to be repaired and cleaned. Paint chipped everywhere. Dirty chairs. Hair all over the ground. Had to keep asking for towels. The water had a ton of debris in it. The room was barely cleaned- very dusty and dirty.

Very friendly staff. The included breakfast had a wide selection. Unfortunately there was a jerk guest who made a VERY BIG deal out of the pancake machine being down one morning. He was so rude to the staff there, but they handled it professionally and courteously, much more than he deserved, in my opinion.

The elevator was broken, we stayed in the jacuzzi sweet directly under the stairs! It was the night before New Year’s Eve can you imagine the noise from the steps? We almost left so many times but would have just spend more money on another room.

I am not a picky traveler and I hate leaving bad reviews, especially at a place where the staff was so friendly. But this hotel was just bad overall. The elevator was broken so we had to lug bags up to the second floor through a very gross stairwell. There was trash in the stairwell and it looked like vomit stains. It also smelled. Once we got to the room, it was clean and in fine shape but it was so unbelievably hot and we could not sleep until I turned on the air conditioning in the room unit in the middle of the night. Our stay was in winter and it was snowing outside.

we went to use the pool and it was the worst hotel pool I have seen. The attached hot tub in particular was in disrepair and had a film over the top of it. The pool itself was too freezing for even my young child who loves swimming to get in. It desperately needed cleaning.

The staff was so nice and friendly so I feel bad writing this but this could just not overcome the issues. On the bright side, my kid really enjoyed breakfast.

1. Blood was on my pillow. Found out just before I laid down. My fiancee asked me if I was bleeding and I said know and after checking the blood wasn’t from me so I notified front desk and I was given a new pillow case. . 2 There was no more food after 8:30 am because to many people was eating food and not enough for people that didn’t bring extra people with them.

The room they had for me was on the 4th floor, elevator was broke. They found a room on the first floor but we had to wait. When we pulled into the parking lot we noticed trash all over the parking lot, we almost left. Won’t go back

The room and breakfast were fine. The elevator was broken, which happens I suppose, but annoying because I was on the 3rd floor. Compounding my annoyance, my first set of keys didn't work. To his credit, the night manager brought the replacements up to me, rather than making me hump my self and my baggage back down and up again.

A motel 6 is on the same property as the hotel; check in was rushed and unfriendly; difficult to get into the room as the door handle mechanism wasn't working properly, same with door on the side of building were the room was close to. This entry/exit was used to access my parked car and I got stuck out there late at night when getting something from my car; family member came out to find me and let me back in. The room had a low level s sweet mustly odor and the beds were uncomfortable. I only stayed on night and found another hotel for the remainder of my time in Ohio.

Usually HI Expresses are clean, and updated, but this place was not. Was dirty, room had a musty smell, AC did not work, and walls were paper thin. Breakfast was good, location was convenient to Cuyahoga National Parks for hiking, and staff was friendly. Wouldn't stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the general condition of the hotel was quite good. The breakfast buffet was well done. A couple of things that could be improved on - the condition of the elevator (the floor mat and floor and walls) were very dirty - also, there was a lot of trash in the parking lot and lawn (most of it from the truck stop next door) that needed to be picked up.

Excellent breakfast with a variety of options. Clean room and comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful. My car battery needed to be recharged, as I left my interior lights on overnight. A staff member was prepared to recharge the battery in minutes. I’ll likely have to visit Cleveland multiple times over the next few years. I am sure this hotel will be where I stay regularly.

I was very happy to be greeted by Sandy at check-in, as she remembered us from our last visit. She offered us snacks, water, and ice cream.

The room was clean and spacious, but the walls were thin. Since we were on the far end and top floors of the building, the WiFi was very weak and sporadic.

That being said, you can't beat the hospitality at this hotel; it is the friendliest and nicest experience we've had yet on this road trip.

For a basic hotel, it's fine but they should get the basics right. The biparting sliding shower door could not slide- the rollers or glides weren't rolling or gliding. I had to lift up the glass and coax it open, closing was the same. The handle was on the glass was also completely loose. Not good to find this out at 5:00am

Sandy at the front desk was very friendly and made excellent restaurant recommendations when asked. The room was clean, and the AC/heater worked well. The hotel offered complimentary bottled water and hosted an ice cream social in the afternoon, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good and appeared to be prepared with care.

My only complaint was that the walls were quite thin, so we could hear people walking above us late into the night, as well as conversations in the hallways, which kept us awake. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a clean room and warm staff.

Wonderful stay but shame on you Hotels.com for defaulting your reservations to handicap rooms...once I arrived at the property it was found out that I had booked a handicap accessible room which I didn't need...once that situation was sorted the staff at holiday Inn bent over backwards to make things right including a room upgrade so mad props to the Holiday Inn staff... would like to add that I had booked a stay at Fidelity hotel in Cleveland through Hotels.com and ended up in a not needed handicap accessible room..my room was supposed to have a tub and didn't...hey Hotels.com...what if an actual handicap person needed a handicap accessible room and you booked it to a person who didn't need that type of room... probably be a good idea if you changed that default booking glitch

The hotel was in good shape and was clean. The hotel staff were friendly.

The WIFI at this hotel is terrible. I was getting sub 1 Mb download speeds (approx, 100 times slower than my house) which made accessing a steaming service painful.

The room doors slam shut. Not only do you hear the door slams, but you also feel them reverberate in the room. The property is adjacent to a Pilot truck stop so be prepared to hear truck sounds throughout your stay. Pack and use ear plugs.

Tape around the cable cord, toilet seat was lose, cold shower, people screaming n yelling in the hallway, cops should of been called. Pool water was cloudy. The toilet in our room ran a lot because it had cheap parts and wasn't installed correctly ( I fixed it). The stairway doors and back door slammed if you didn't catch them.

However, the breakfast was quite good. I especially enjoyed the fresh oatmeal (not packaged) and all the toppings (dried fruit, nuts, and cinnamon). Well stocked and nice selection of bread. Kudos for that.

Stayed here to enjoy Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This hotel was easy to get to and located to everything we wanted to see. The staff and front desk was very friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a welcome smile and a hello. The rooms were clean and provided all we needed for our stay. It was also nice to get up and have coffee and a hot breakfast that I did not have to cook. Thank you for a great stay! We are planning on returning again in June. This hotel has it all! ❤️
