Stayed here for 6 nights for a family trip, the worst thing was the cleanliness but the staff made up for it mostly. Grace was fantastic at accommodating us as we ran into some issues, the tv wasn’t working upon arrival, toilet and bath was dirty and the toilet was leaking. The pull out sofa was pretty stained and nasty but she brought us a ton of comforters and covers to be able to get it covered & sleep-able on. The water was hot, staff was friendly and the heat/ac worked well so we made due overall worth a stay if you just need basics. Inspect the room before unpacking would be my recommendation.

Big room with full kitchen (full fridge, dishwasher and stovetop) and all cookware and silverware. Large sitting area and desk and breakfast bar. Comfortable bed, plenty of natural light. Complex felt safe and plenty of light in parking areas. Our room was quiet. Full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower (our body wash was completely empty though). Large breakfast buffet. Oatmeal and topping bar, eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, potatos, assorted breads and pastries, waffle maker, fresh fruit.

First off the lady and gentleman at checkout were very welcoming and greeted us with a smile. They made check-in so easy and hassle free. Once we got to our room though, I was completely underwhelmed. The rooms smelt old, the chairs were peeling, there was black around the air vents, the kitchen had 1 cup and lacked a lot of dishes, the walls in the kitchen had some kind of liquid splatter on it. All in all would I stay here again? Probably not, but I have seen worse.

We stayed here while traveling to Cleveland for a week with our 2 cats. The suite was large and comfortable. It was clean but showing wear and tear. Stains on the couch and the carpet was wrinkled. The floor in the kitchen was very sticky. Our biggest complaint was that house keeping did not come for a refresh when scheduled or when requested. I had to go to the office to get more towels, trash bags and coffee pods.

Didn’t like that after you check in have to go back outside & walk to another building to find your room, mine was on ground floor, anyone could follow me, 2 big windows on ground too, when walked out my door anyone could be waiting outside. Had a very disappointing experience at Residence Inn Cleveland Independence. Upon check-in at around 7:30 PM, was informed at the front desk that my reservation could not be honored and has been relocated. No prior email or call was given prior. Upon checking the alternatie accomodation, it was a much much lower-quality hotel: old, noisy, poorly rated, and without breakfast that was included in my original booking.
When concerns were raised, they offered reward points instead and no proper adjustment in pricing for being re-accommodated in a cheaper hotel. Finally, after insisting, was able to negotiate to check back in next day.
Have never had experienced such an unprofessional handling. If I wanted a budget hotel, I would have booked one myself. Marriott should not operate in a way that charges guests for a premium stay and then shuffles them to lower-rated properties without notice. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had.

My husband and i spent a weekend in Cleveland. I picked the hotel because it had high ratings. At is true. It was better than i expected. Only issue the bathroom is super small but everything else was perfect. Will definitely stay here again

At the time of making arrangements for our stay check in time was 3 pm and check out time was 12 noon. Apparently the check out time was changed to 11 am the staff never communicated this information to us and the cleaning lady kept knocking on the door and started that our check out time was 11 am. I feel that information could have been communicated during the time of check in and should also be updated on the booking site. One hour might not mean anything to most people,but It does to me.
And to top it off our room wasn't ready at 3 pm because the linen wasn't ready, whatever that means.

The person at the front desk was excellent, the big bed was comfortable and the pull out couch was sufficient for children. What was available at breakfast was good but we got there about 20 minutes before it was scheduled to close and the selection wasn’t complete.

The normal weekday manager was great and tried to makeup for the weekend shortfalls. The cleanliness was not great, but not horrible. It’s an older hotel, so questionable if it was dirty or just aged.

Rough crowd , cigars smoked by the pool where kids swam, basketball was always “stolen”, people that were also staying smoking things they shouldn’t be smoking right by the hotel room stairs, housekeeping did not come clean or refill things unless you requested it . The manager Michael was amazing. He would greet everyone so cheerfully every time he would see us. He was accommodating when my reservation was compromised due to a flight delay. He also held my luggage after it was delivered by the airline. My room was regularly refreshed. Breakfast was hit or miss, the staff who do breakfast could be more kind and approachable especially since they are the first interaction you get to start your day. Pool was clean and fun. Overall it was a great 2 weeks, and the location was perfection!

The room smelled of urine, the bathroom floor was sticky, with a stronger smell of urine, the bed linen smells like vick's vapor rub. This was a decent hotel in a good location. Not too far from downtown and close to the highway. Parking was free and the room was spacious. We found blood on one of the blankets. You could tell it was old and probably had been washed and overlooked. The room was a little outdated, but the best feature was the shower which was updated.
