The bed was comfortable. But the hotel was in disrepair and hadn't been updated. Our room wasn't cleaned during our four-night stay. We were told after three nights that the room would be cleaned, but it never was. They also didn't replace our towels or empty our trash.

My room was not ready like it was supposed to be at 4:00 so I did not even get checked in totally until 5:00. The toilet was running on and off all night. the pool area was closed and I wanted to swim but could not do that and that was one of my main reasons for even going there. the windows was severely dirty. you had to pay for breakfast when I said it was included. Oh yeah when I got there found out I had to give $100 deposit when I was never told that when I booked the room

Booked here because of the indoor pool, which was closed. Disappointed. There was garbage all over in front from one of the garbage cans & still like that the next day. Horrible loud guests until 3 am, which I complained about 3 times & it took 3-4 calls each time to get the front desk to answer & nothing was done about it & smelled marijuana. Traveling with a child & got no sleep & no swim.

You had to slam my door hard to get it to shut because it was so warped, and there was supposed to be a Jacuzzi, but nobody notified me that it was under repair. The curtains in my hotel room were ripped and dirty and kind of nasty.
The bed and the sheets were fine, but overall it was a disappointment because I paid more for a hotel. I expected to be a little bit nicer.

We slept next to an entrance with a broken door handle that caused a very loud banging noise all night long. We just never got any sleep. Cleanliness was questionable at best, no regular coffee in our room. Ice cold water only and no hot water.

Got there and had a sign stating pool and hot tub was not open, which was the reason for booking the room, as my back is really bad and after travel I need the heat to help with pain. Check in took forever as there was only one person checking people in and was very slow.

This place was horrible I have actual pictures and video of blood drops going from our room to the elevator. Our door was broken and seemed as if the cops had kicked it in previously or someone else has. It was very hard to open and close. When we got there after 4pm we were told that we had a 2 hr wait on our room. Ending up being a 3 hr wait. Called ahead and we were told both pool and hot tub were working. Got there and no pool no hot tub!! We originally booked our stay at the location on Crocker rd and also called ahead and was told the pool and hot tub were opened. We got there and it wasn’t. Just a big disappointment. The most ghetto sh!t hole I stayed in. I am very very upset!

The room was so bad it smelled like pee,the toilet didn’t work or flush , the water in the bathroom was boiling hot there was no cold water at all couldn’t even take a shower went to the front desk to complain numerous of times to the tall puertorican girl act like she was reporting it to send maintenance the 3 times i went to the desk they never showed up i will never stay at this hotel again it was so uncomfortable then i ask for another room they said they was book up when i book the room days ago i get there they said they had no rooms available so they had to find one then they gave me the room that was so bad

The property looked good when you enter, but once you look around the place looked worn. Our bathtub was like a bouncy house, which is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Looks like water damage on the wood and even the picture hanging above the toilet looked like there was a little water damage. There were also a couple used condoms in the parking lot. The music was blaring in the morning throughout the lobby.

Stayed for a night. The price was cheap so I can’t complain much. I arrived a little upset, however, because the pool and hot tub were advertised as in working condition and was a big reason I chose this location over others and when I arrived the pool was drained completely and the hot tub wasn’t in working condition. I felt a little deceived because of this. Other than that, the place was clearly in poor shape and was quite dirty. My room atleast was fairly clean, except for the bathroom, which wasn’t cleaned very well (floors and bathtub were pretty gross). It served its purpose tho and I felt pretty safe while staying there and the staff were great, so that counts for something I guess.

We’re entering the hotel, there was a gentleman there who you could tell what’s under mental distress. He was talking to himself, pacing the floor. I asked the staff member was she OK oh, and was he OK? She says yes that he’s always there he’s no bother. I understand the fact that you would not want to put someone out if it’s inclement weather. But also you have to remember that you’re running a business, and not all guests will be comfortable with walking in with a person that is experiencing some type of mental health issues being there in the lobby.
Also, the rooms were not clean. They were very worn and old. Serious updates. Need to be done to this hotel.

pool wasn’t functioning, didn’t say this anywhere online. we arrived at 4:10 to check in and didn’t get a room til 5:30 because they were still cleaning and behind, no compensation for this. bought breakfast at the time of booking for $6 a person i believe, then when we arrive to our breakfast they’re super rude and say it’s $14 a person and then because we arrived 15 before they close up breakfast they rushed us through the whole thing and made us take it to go…. very rude kitchen staff!

The elevator had no lights both days. So we had to use a light on our phone to see the buttons in order to get to our floor. The shower was half working. Staff interacted as though they didn't want to be there. The hotel itself was dirty and so were the hallway walls. There were wires hanging in the hallway. There was a raccoon at the front door that people had to keep running past...It kept eating from both garbage cans out front, right by the main doors. I reserved the room for myself and my spouse, and there weren't enough towels for us both.

This was one of the worst treatments at a hotel in my life. My reservation was paid for in advance and upon arrival I was told that there were no available rooms because of rooms not being clean. How inconsiderate of this hotel to not inform guests before they arrived. I will be hesitant to book at this property again.

Water was hot with good water pressure. Staff was nice. Room was dirty, with no shampoo conditioner, etc. but there were shampoo/conditioner brackets (where the bottles once attached) still on the wall. Mildew, wallpaper coming off the walls, broken towel holders, no hair dryer, stains on couches & sheets... Hall ceilings leaking with buckets under them... generally just not a very clean upkept place.

Our reason for choosing this hotel was for the amenities, such as the hot tub and pool, which were out of operation. There was an elevator with no lighting in operation. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. The bathtub drain was poor, and the toilet over flushed. No maintenance to help with these matters. We were very disappointed.

The bedding and pillows were comfortable and acceptable; that was the only good part of our stay.

Had to get my room switched because my first room has blood on the bed and sheets. Mold filled the closet and bathroom. The bathroom was dirty, hasn’t been cleaned. Hair was in the shower (an lot) and bowel stains in toilet. No towels and wash clothes. This was a king size bed. One room.

Then was switched to another room. The sheets were covered with male beard hair or you know what… had to get new sheets. The fridge froze my food. All of it.

They had only 2 working staff, breakfast was cold and dry, the hall trash cans were all full, pool was out so my kid was disappointed. Didn’t even look like anyone was trying to clean/fix it. Hot tub was out as well.

The pictures shown is NOT what it looks like.

The worse experience. I will never retire here! I do not recommend at all 🙅‍♀️

The staff was great, however…the room was dirty, there were spiders right when i entered, the sheets had stains on them, I booked this room just for the hot tub and pool when i arrived it was under construction for my whole stay, the doors stated they were locked so no one could enter without a key however i was able to walk right in with no key. The shower did not work properly, the key card to the room itself kept disabling so I had to stand in long lines to get it fixed.

4 nite stay. Room was not touched once by housekeeping. Ran out of coffee, towels, even TP.
Put trash and used towels outside door. Someone picked them up but never replaced the towels.
Even had to ask for garbage bag's.
My advise, don't.
Plenty of other hotel's in the area.

Upon checking in, there was a young couple in front of us that had 2 rooms reserved. They were having trouble coming up with an extra $200 for the mandatory $100 per room incidental hold charge. This charge was not listed anywhere on their website when you make the reservation. There was also a second sign that said NO ROOM CHARGES ALLOWED. So if there are no room charges allowed, why would they need to hold $100 for incidentals? Then we checked in and I asked how late the pool was open. He said it closed at 10pm. It was 9:37pm. My grandson was having surgery in the morning at the Cleveland clinic and was quite nervous. I told the clerk that he would have just enough time for a quick dip to calm his nerves. The clerk never told us that we needed wrist bands to get into the pool area. So we quickly went to the room and hustled back to the pool area only to discover that we couldn't get in because we didn't have wrist bands from the front desk. While by the time we would have gone back and got them, it would be after 10pm. So we went back to the room disappointed only to discover that there was no bedding for the pull out sofa. So now we had to go down to the front desk to get our own bedding. The lamp on the side of the bed flickered when the cord got bumped so my grandson crawled under the bed to plug it in all the way and he found a red pill and a sock so they must not vacuum very well. Then there was no cold water only extremely HOT!

Overall stay was easy and quick. Did not use amenities such as pool or breakfast. The hotel, you can tell was once beautiful and a place for events and gatherings. But the furniture is old, elevator is old, decor is outdated, painting and upkeep is needed, it's definitely a cheap hotel for a reason. Staff was friendly, not much interaction needed. For this to be an Independence hotel, it needs some love invested.

staff, they just said it should be working. They did not come check it out. Fire alarm going off at midnight, someone banging on door then not waiting on an answer. Apparently a smoke alarm head was bad in a room on our floor. But when you hear banging on your door, and fire alarm, its tough to get back to sleep.

Spent 3 nights there and not once did someone check my room or bring me towels. They didn’t even answer the phone when calling about the kids and adults running up and down the hall from 9pm to 11:30pm. The halls smelt like marijuana and at 1:30am 4/11 the fire alarm went off because room 404 thought it would be a great to smoke pot and trigger the fire alarm.

Upon arrival I was greeted by who I now know was a manager. Check in was smooth.. I returned to my car to gather the rest of my party which was a 10 month old baby and my husband. We entered through the side door which is supposed to be key access only , but the door was unlocked so anyone could come in. We got onto the elevator along with another guest. We were assigned a room on the second floor. As the elevator begins to move and stop on the second floor it becomes stuck and we were left staring at a beige elevator door (this was not the elevator door but the floor door ) the staff moved swiftly to get us out (stuck for all of 5 minutes). After getting off we are now on our floor which reeked of cigarettes (this is a non smoking hotel ). Upon entering our room , we can see cracks and holes in the wall and the linen is stained with what I’m guessing is blood. The room was so uncomfortable and nasty that at this point I rather take the drive home. I checked in and out within the same hour !!! I would not return and would not recommend. The manager who checked me in and out left me in the system as if I completed my stay. Another staff member issued me a refund.

Staff was great. Bed and bathroom clean. But the carpet and furniture all have stains and feel kind of grimy , couch in the room even had shredded armrests from a cat clawing it. The pool and hot tub were open but a large group of screaming kids had taken ove the pool and the hot tub had no \"bubble\" function. Also the shower was cold. I read reviews before I went so basically knew what I was getting. It was cheap so it did the job and I wasn't really disappointed, but for a Wyndham must be the last on their whole list of establishments to get an update!

My first impression was the man smoking marijuana in the parking lot. The person at the counter was very polite. The elevator smelled of marijuana was so strong. I get up to the room and noticed some glue-like substance on the nightstand. The remote I wouldn’t dare touch. It hadn’t been cleaned. The bed itself I actually slept on top of the sheets and didn’t even get under the covers. It’s an older hotel and the rooms need a serious refresh. The wood paneling on the sink is all cracked due to the moisture. The knob on the shower I feared was going to come off. The surfaces had that film-like residue on them. You knew they have been wiped down with cleaner but it felt like the water hadn’t been changed in a while. The best part about the whole trip was the man who waited on me at the hotel restaurant for breakfast. His name was Darren. If the whole hotel was like an experience with Darren then it would have been a lovely experience. Darren was so professional and kind. It was very obvious that he takes pride in his job. However I wish Wyndham took as much pride in that facility. Unfortunately they do not.

The people in the room next to me were loud and kept me and my friend up most of the night. It was too loud and they kept trying to come into our room. The hallway was loud. The breakfast was not impressive considering it was the Wyndham. I won't be back to this hotel.

Breakfast is not included in your stay. I was moved to three different hotel rooms due to there being pubic hairs stuck in old soap scum in the soap within the shower. One of the rooms did not have toilet paper or a shower curtain. The final room that they put us in did not have any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. I just cleaned the shower myself. It’s pretty rough. The staff is nice, but obviously cleaning is not a priority here. The property is very old and dilapidated. I would never ever stay here again.

The hotel is in need of an update. Worth the price..is questionable. I didn't expect it to be super fancy but carrying the Wyndam name, I expected better.
Clean room: no. Sure if had been dusted and wiped down. But between finding a hair on my pillow, stained couch cushions, sticky carpet by the bathroom. 3/5.
Staff: only 2 full size towels for a king size room. Called to request more but told that staff just got there at 9:30. Do not disturb door hanger went missing first night. Room never cleaned and towels never received. Staff told us in passing only working ice machine on the 2nd floor. 2/5.
Business- friendly- good selection of ballrooms and Amphitheater style conference room. No instructions on how to use phones in the room.
Kitchen- not sure. Only way to view menu was listed on the sandwich board. No menus in room or number to call for room service. Breakfast not included and buffet was $14. It smelled good.

Don't stay at this location until it is completely updated. It looks like scenes out of a horror movie you're unsure the elevator's going to work, as you walk around the place on the first floor You have wallpaper with holes in it a door missing a handle that you could have peep through to see the other side, place wreaked of chlorine or we depending on which floor you are on. They did not check the room before giving it to us to make sure everything was adequate.

Lots of things were broke in the room. Towels were dirty, bathroom tissues had mold on them and everything was dirty! Workers were rude and hot tub wasn’t hot and the jets didn’t work. We had to get our room keys reactivated 3 times for a two night stay

The staff was very nice and accommodating, however we arrived to check in we were initialy checked in to a half cleaned room were one of the 2 beds was partially made (Initial reservation was for a king bed)

Room wasn't cleaned had to switch. Water leaking from ceiling all around the building. Trash sitting outside of rooms all night. Stinking hallways. Dirty pool.

I have stayed in this hotel many times before and this was the first time I was a little disappointed. The ice machines were not working. We were not told at check-in and had to find out. The room was clean but when went to use the shower black stuff came out of the drain.

I was expecting much more from Wyndham. The property is in need of much renovation. One of two elevators wasn't working and the other was slow, dirty, and its door made a loud screeching sound, the room's door didn't have a functioning deadbolt. One bedside light didn't work and the other had a broken shade, the refrigerator door didn't close, the AC cover plate was broken, scratches on the walls and furniture, loose wall papers, the sink didn't have a stopper, one towel had a hole in it, no pen and pad of paper, the smoke detector was hanging loose on the wall, no clock in the room, and a few more things along these lines.
