Had a great stay! The location is excellent in a beautiful location that has lot's to see and do. The property itself is equally gorgeous and historic. (The breakfast room, in the former library and logia, feature lovely woodwork and is warm and comfortable.) The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean.

Room faced a building that had all of its lights on all night. There were no room darkening shades or curtains. The walls are quite thin, so we could hear a child in the room next to us coughing throughout the night. Also, garbage trucks rolled in at 6:15 in the morning. The room was spotless and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The hotel is beautiful and in a very nice area of town. It’s quiet and quaint and the bar area in the evening was quiet but fun. The staff we encountered was friendly. We especially enjoyed our conversations with the local bartender on Sunday and Monday nights. He was very fun. We went right after the Christmas holiday and it was still beautifully decorated with the spirit of the season!

We had high hopes. The decor is beautiful. The room had portions which obviously hadn't been cleaned in some time. The bartender was helpful, but at over $10 for 1 well drink, i didn't feel was intriguing enough to stay for a bit. Breakfast was better than most, but i felt like the male staff were visually obsessing over me to the point of feeling very uncomfortable. One actually stared and \"moaned\" as he looked me up and down. Location was perfect for our visit. I was NOT happy about the $15 added parking bill, which was NEVER disclosed prior to receiving the bill at checkout. At over 200 a night, not many guests, in a private parking lot, I would expect parking on site was a given rather than a hidden charge.

When we arrived we were notified that \"you have been upgraded by your third party booking agent\" from the \"standard king\" room we had booked to \"a suite, free parking ($30 value) and a $12 bar credit.\" This was a wonderful surprise. Beautiful hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast buffet was a very nice and delicious spread in a very beautiful setting. Bed was very comfortable. My only complaint would be the room isn't very sound proof as we could hear every little thing going on in the hallway and were woken up many times earlier than we were wanting to get up . Apparently house keeping starts ver early in the morning. Also be aware if you are staying on a Thursday, trash pickup is on Friday morning and very loud for the rooms near the dumpster below. Absolutely loved this place despite the minor annoyances and will definitely be staying again next time we are in Cleveland

This place was ok, at best. Its a historical building with cold drafts, barely cleaned bathtubs, dirty stained carpet, gray-brown blankets that felt akin to sleepibg under a area rug and nicotine stained wallpaper that has been there for many years. Reminds you of a run down 1980s business class hotel. The breakfast was cold on yhe potatoes and undercooked on sausage, eggs were typical fake egg, dehydrated ones that were spongy. Bagels and bread were left out in the open to all to cough all over and finger it. Everyone in ky family either ouked or had stomach issues all day after eating very little of this breakfast.
Absolutely would not stay here again. Its fine for eldery dementia patient, as there were plenty of those wondering around the halls all night, but the average person, this was a depressing stay all around.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had never used Uber before and were guided through the process in a kind and successful manner. The breakfast was excellent. We looked forward to it every morning. Our room was tended to every day with a freshly made bed and clean towels. The location was perfect. We were able to visit some of the sights nearby, which were conveniently located. Many of them were within walking distance. We were also very close to the Cleveland Clinic, which was the reason for our stay. We highly recommend Glidden House for whatever reason you're visiting Cleveland
