Nice clean room, good spot with easy access to the train station. Just across the road from lots of shops and restaurants. Staff were really lovely and the bathroom was bigger than usual for an inner city hotel in Tokyo so that was nice! Just stayed here for a night before flying out of Narita aiport (5 min walk to Keisei line which is fastest way to get to Narita).

This hotel offers many amenities from PJs, toothbrushes, razors, you name it. There's a guest lounge with beverages and plenty of food options for purchase. The staff was very helpful, and handled all our luggage forwarding. Nothing beats the location!

It was a non-smoking room, but it smelled like smoke. There was also a strong sewer smell coming from the bathroom, and the ventilation was poor, so the odor even spread into the bedroom. The bed sheet had a small blood stain, which makes me wonder whether the sheets were actually washed and cleaned. The noise level was also quite bad. Because of the smells, I opened the bedroom windows for ventilation, but there were occasional loud car and motorcycle noises.

The room was smaller than the picture shows. There is no way 5 people, plus luggage for 5 fits in this room. I had to get another room for my husband and I. Even that room smelled musky. It needed to be aired out. The rooms reminded me of crusieship cabins.

Staff were very nice and room was clean and tidy. We had 3 rooms booked and all three had no view out the window - just an opaque window glass. Rooms were smaller than the other two we stayed at and the bed was harder than I would normally like. The area was busy, and access to the trains was great. Lots of shopping and restaurants were very close by.

Location was very convenient. Keisei Ueno station, Ueno station, and Okachimachi station were all within walking distance of less than 10min. Having direct access to Narita airport via skyliner means you do not have to lug ur luggage around when changing lines in the metro (metro transfers in japan are known to be long and mostly staircases). Plenty of dining options nearby near Ameyoko shopping street. If not, there’s a 7-11 and family mart within 100m for a quick fix. No issues at all with the room, clean and quiet as expected.

Easy to find hotel in Ueno. Good access to transport and good places to eat nearby. Hotel rooms are not too small for Tokyo (have stayed in smaller). The room air con is in a bit of an odd location - right above the bed - thankfully it wasn't baking hot otherwise we'd be sleeping in a constant draft. Very friendly and helpful staff and everything is pretty clean and tidy.

Typical Japanese hotel with the nice, but cosy rooms. However they do lose points for being the only hotel chain in Japan that we've stayed in that charges for luggage storage. For that reason, we would not choose this chain again.

The hotel is in a great location, directly across the road from a popular dining and shopping district and a couple of minute walk from Ueno station. Ueno park is lovely during Sakura season and also very close by. Cheaper than Shinjuku and Shibuya (about 35 minutes away by train) but still vibrant and lively. I’ve stayed here three different times now, and if I’m ever in Ueno again, I’ll likely pick the same place. The staff are always pleasant and professional and happy to help. The rooms are small, this is to be expected based on the location, but are always comfortable and clean.

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was absolutely worth it! It's in a perfect area very close to transportation and across the street there are tons of places to eat that close eat as well as convenient stores. The area is safe to walk around in even late at night and it's not loud. We got the deluxe single room and there was enough space for both of our suitcases and the bathroom had a deep tub. Staff were very friendly and helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Tokyo!

Room was good size for a solo traveller. Bathroom was good too. The air conditioning had a bad smell coming from it. It was off putting. Room was dusty at some places. House keeping needs to do a better job. Good location, not so far from Ueno station which was pretty handy. I would definitely recommend it. If the rooms are cleaned better and the ac didn’t emit a bad smell then it was 8/10 for sure.

The staff was very helpful for the most part. I was very disappointed that when I left a neck travel pillow in the room by accident, they said it wasn't found and they could not ask the person cleaning the room about it.
The hotel was very convenient and in a good area for dining options, shopping and walkable, close to transportation.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Wing for a week during our first visit in Tokyo. First the location is perfect. We were close to Ueno station, Ueno Park and local restaurants. The staff didn’t speak much English but was very friendly and helpful nonetheless. The room was expectedly small but we made it work. The shower room was very convenient and room was clean with a simple and organized setup. The price was also very reasonable.

The hotel is clean and nice, size of room is good. However when i was checking in they tried to put me in a smaller room dispite my booking so i had to get them the change that after i showed them it was incorrect. I was unhappy with the fact they want to change to store baggage as the one hour they are willing to hold it its just in the lobby and know one is actually watching it. Most hotels have a locked room which is far more acceptable. Ive actually never experienced someone charging to store luggage in any hotel ive stayed in. and ive been in japan almost 3 weeks. The amenities are pretty good.

The Wing is a nice place for your standard rook with no frills and thrills. Good for an inexpensive room that is clean and comfortable. That’s all you need, while visiting Tokyo. Area surrounding the hotel is close to shopping areas, Ueno park and zoo is close by and also Asakusa and Kappabashi.

Helpful and professional reception staff. We arrived early and they checked us in, but as the room wasn't available until 2pm, they let us store our suitcase at the counter. At check-out, they can keep your suitcase until 12pm but after that you have to use the coin lockers (there are some inside the hotel entrance).

The room was a little cramped - we are 2 average sized Asians and felt there wasn't much room to move around. Good enough for a place to clean up & sleep in. The room is equipped with a kettle, a tiny safe (depth & width enough for A5 folder) and a mini fridge (no freezer section). There were plugs & USB charging ports at the desk & bedside. No wardrobe, but there were 2 pegs with hangers, & they provided pyjamas! Toiletries are provided in the bathroom & reception area.

The towel exchange is a little confusing - reception staff told us to put our unused towels out, but the signage in the room seemed to say we should put our used towels out for exchange. They can be quite early too: once we were a bit late (9am) putting out the sign for no towel exchange, and opened the door to find they had already given us new towels.

The 2nd floor lounge was nice - microwaves, hot/cold water dispenser, free soft drink fountain, snacks & drinks for purchase.

It's a good location close to convenience stores & food/shopping. It's close to the Ueno stations - you can actually walk underground to exit 3 (but no lift) instead of dragging your luggage through crowded strees.

Best part of the hotel was the location. It’s near the train station, shops and restaurants. Worst part is rooms are small and they only clean it every three days. They do give you fresh towels daily though. Also, if you have a late flight like us, they will only store your luggage for free till noon. After that you have to use the coin lockers which range from $4-$10 per locker. We had to wake up early to insure we had lockers for our luggages.

Charming location with a market nearby. Not too terribly far from Ueno Park, though not close either. Ueno's proximity to Akihabara was a large part of the draw for me. Room was fine, and the coin laundry a useful amenity. Checking in and out was a good experience.

There are different metro lines, JR station walkable within 12 minutes from hotel. Cross streets there’s lots of restaurants, shops. seven11 everywhere. Rooms are not big as US, it’s small or like some other people says it’s tiny, of course we are in Tokyo. The rooms are very clean, the whole building is clean. Staffs are friendly. Free bathroom supplies free of charge. Great experience. I definitely come back.

The bathroom fan blew air instead of sucking it out. The bathroom had a foul odor that never dissipated. Body wash and conditioner smelt stink so we could not use them, the shampoo was fine. Room cleaning was done on the 3rd day of our stay, but we were able to get fresh towels daily. Hotel location was very convenient and easy to get to from the train station. Most hotels provide 2 bottles of water daily, this one does not.

Excellent hotel. Ideal location less than 10min walk to Ueno station. Lovely staff on reception. Lots of free items available for use such as wash cloths, tooth brush, tooth paste, hair brush, curling iron and pyjamas as well as usual things like hair dryer, shampoo, soap etc. Arrived several hours before check in time but staff were happy to hold our bags so we could head out and explore. Yes, the room is small but this is Tokyo, it's to be expected. I was really happy with the room. It was clean and had everything I needed. There's room under the bed for the suitcase when you're not using it. Plus I'm here to see Tokyo so all I need is a comfortable bed and this place provided that. Would stay again.

Had a one night stay here as Ueno is an express train stop from Narita on the Keisei line. Price and value was great for the location. Plenty of good eats and the famous shopping area is within minutes walk.

Room is small, but was perfect for the night stay. They have free breakfast which consisted of different pastries, coffees and juices. Friendly staff at the lobby and they even had it decorated for Halloween.

The staff were friendly and very nice. What they called breakfast was miniature pastries with coffee, tea lattes or OJ. The room was too small for two people. We had two (2) carryon bags, and it was extremely difficult for us to maneuver in the room with the two small bags. One of us had to climb onto the bed for the other to move around in the room or get to the bathroom, it was best suited for one person.

The best part about it was the location. Very convenient for traveling, but the room made it difficult to relax in. It was very small and there was one light not controlled by any switch except the main power. And the breakfast barely was anything. Pre-packaged rolls and some juice and coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful though.

Size was OK for Tokyo, but small by US standards. Amenities in room were few, but if you ask at the lobby, they can give you what you need for free. Shower height is small for me (I'm 6 foot tall), the shower was only about 5 foot 6 inches tall. (note this is for 3rd floor, On 9th floor it is a bit taller, but I still need to crunch my neck down). View depends on the floor you are on, when I stayed on 9th floor, the view was great, but on the 3rd floor the window faces a cement wall a few feet away.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Trains, subway and buses on the doorstep. Plenty of places to eat are within walking distance. The Ameyeko Shopping District on the doorstep is an added bonus.

Unimpressive at first, but discovered its charm with time. We stayed 6 days, I would return. Close to interesting large open air markets under elevated tracks. Free hot drinks in lobby all day. Room missing many amenities, but available at front desk if you ask. I'm 6 foot tall: shower height, pajamas, and slippers too small. Washer worked, but dryer doesn't dry well (in enclosed closet on 2nd floor, recirculates humid air, wall dripping with water, washing room for guests clothes needs vent openings).

Had a great two night stay. Hotel is conveniently located near trains and easy to get to. It’s small, but that’s expected. They provide pijamas, rooms are cleaned every three days, towels are changed daily. Breakfast is pastries and drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend!
