Yotel has very clean rooms. The physical building is very nice and it's in a good location, walkable distance to everything. However, it does not have memory foam beds as listed. They are the old spring beds and very uncomfortable. The room has only one small stool to sit on. There is no workstation or table to sit at. There is no where to unpack your bag as there are only a few hangers for your clothes. No drawers to put anything in so I ended up with my open suitcase in the middle of the floor, which is limited space. There is no coffee or tea pot in the room. The breakfast is buffet style with a hot pot of eggs, sausages, beans, etc. They also had croissants and other pastries, as well as cereal and yogurt. While the selection sounds good, the breakfast was just okay. I was not impressed. The staff at this hotel is what makes the difference. They were all kind and helpful. I would not stay again because of the uncomfortable bed. However, I appreciate the staff and how clean the room was.

Clean room with no tea or coffee making facilities which for the price you would assume this was standard ? We had to self checkin even though 3 members of staff stood behind a desk talking and had to find key cards to make our key. Get the rationale behind this but people queuing and having 3 staff stood there seems a waste of time.

Room was a very large open plan space and in a great location to the city. Room was clean well layed out with a king sized bed and a sofa bed
The bathroom area was on one switch meaning in the night you lit the whole room up, not ideal with a small child.
There is no kettle in the room and the fridge says not for use of food or medication. The hotel shop to purchase hot drinks was expensive.
Staff were not friendly. Upon entering the hotel there were three reception staff none of them acknowledged us. I noticed the self check in so easily check in. When i quieried VIP status notification from Hotels.com they advised they didnt know what this was then carried on using the computer. When i asked if they could find out i was told it could be early/late check in but they only do this for Experien customers. Then once again blanked me. I chased this up with an email to be told its 20% off a single purchase in the shop.
Upon check out i asked if i had a £8.50 to use as we hadnt used housekeeping. I was told this was off room service only, Thats not what the leaflets in the room stated but i didnt want to argue with staff who didnt care about customer service.

The location is great, The staff are nice. but it’s too noisy. You could hear the door closing next door, chatting on the hallway, even the people on the street. Not sound proof room and the phone service , you’re going to be billed if you call the customer service, instead of dialing just one number, you have to dial their complete phone number!. And lastly their bathroom are too small, no privacy. Very inconvenient.

On two occasions housekeeper did not clean the room and breakfast which we paid for was terrible. No glssses , no juices, no cutlery, no food left and waiter running like a headless chicken around the room not knowing what to do. Pancreas were hard and no cups for coffee so we left after 15 min of trying to east and drink. Never again.

Escolher um hotel da rede Yotel é sinônimo de tranquilidade, é saber que encontraremos um hotel confortável, moderno e organizado.
Nosso quarto era bem confortável, bem espaçoso, mobília moderna, cama queen com controle de posição, wi-fi, TV LCD, frigobar, ferro e tábua de passar roupa, secador de cabelo, ar condicionado, boa cama e ducha, shampoo, condicionador e hidratante.O quarto tem sensor de presença, se não houver movimento no quarto, tudo se desliga, mas se fizer um movimento, tudo liga novamente.
O hotel esta bem localizado, próximo á Princess Street, com transporte e fácil acesso aos pontos históricos, restaurantes e comércio.
O atendimento foi muito atencioso e prestativo de todos que nos atenderam.
O café da manha custa £15.
Eles guardam as bagagens antes do check in ou depois do check out.
Também dão desconto caso opte por não limparem o quarto, dando um bônus para gastar no bar.
Nosso quarto, foi o acessivel, tudo perfeito.
Gostei muito do hotel, da nossa estada e da qualidade e conforto do hotel.

For me the breakfast was just ok, the room was not very convenient withe the sink separate in the room, shower and toilet were not great with the glass panels,
Could hear the showers above as we were on the basement level 0 , if we ever stay again would make sure we were on a higher level, apart from that staff were good and friendly bar lovely,

Clever design in a small space. Clean and comfortable. Nice touch having the double blind so you can choose how much light you want.
Two issues, the TV turned itself on 6 times in the night - clearly an electrical issue which was resolved the following day and the lights turned themselves off after about 15 minutes which was annoying

I had a pleasant time staying at Yotel Edinburgh. The hotel's locality is very near the city area which makes it conducive for walking. The rooms I stayed in were furnished with the basic but essential amenities which were sufficient for me. The staff were also friendly and responsive whenever we provided feedback and were prompt to attend to our concerns. I have intentions to visit Edinburgh again and will certainly consider Yotel Edinburgh favorably for my accommodation needs when I do so. Thank you to all staff from Yotel Edinburgh for making my stay a wonderful experience.

Door to the hallway wasnt very sound proof so we kept waking up to banging in the halls.
The drinks are overpriced to the ninth degree, we do acknowledge your paying for convience but even then its extortionate
Shower door didnt close properly so we had to be super careful about flooding the floors
Staff were amazing when interacting with them
Breakfast was alright, nothing to write home about and the coffee was burnt and really bitter.
The theromstat glowing an ominous green didnt help sleep, we did turn it off, but it turned itself back on during the night which meant we woke up again
Bed mechanism for sliding bed is creaky and jittery. maybe needs some tlc

We arrived at 15:10 but the room was not ready. I was told that they want to make sure our room is perfect so need little more time . I was also told that I could just sit and wait until it's ready but the staff did not say nor trying check when the room will be ready. So we decided to come back later and the staff rang me about 20 mins later saying our room is now ready.

Good location, comfortable bed and liked the reclining bed. All positives and a lot of thought on space saving. Unfortunately needs some TLC, some plugs didn't work, shower leaked and no pressure from handheld. Although free coffee/tea 5 floors below, could have done with a kettle in room. Extortionate price for snacks and drinks in mini shop. Not a fan of sink in main room and not privacy for toilet and shower, all part of main room with glass doors and screens. Prefer traditional ensuite B&B.

Yotel EDI is located just on the outskirts of the new city part. Its about 20-25 min walk into the old part (Royal Mile etc), but is incredibly close to the shops (Princes St). There is a Tesco Express, Greggs & Costa all within 3-5 min walk from the hotel for inexpensive breakfast or snack options. However, the hotel breakfast is good value and freshly restocked. Staff have all be really friendly and pleasant and helpful. The walk into the main parts of the city is very easy - so I would definitely stay here again.

Room 010. Basement room. Constant noise when main automatic door opened. Toilet very small, heared rail in toilet did not work. No where in shower to hang towel. The plug in basin did not work, unable to shave. Lighting in main area poor (no natural light).If you go to toilet in night had to switch on main light. Shower door did not shut. Coffee machine in bar only gave you a couple of options and mugs which were in the clean pile were dirty including one with lipstick on. Excess heat coming from cupboard with fridge in. On the positive, the reception staff, very good, and the bed was comfortable and the room clean

Our stay at YOTEL Edinburgh was very enjoyable.

We were two couples, one couple slept on the main bed and the other on the sofa lounge.

We felt there was enough room for the time we were in our room.

We liked the location, nice and convenient to everything. We caught the Airlink from the airport and it was about a ten minute walk from the closest bus stop, which wasn’t too bad.

The area felt safe and was very nice to walk around, easy to get to all the main attractions. There are plenty of dining and shopping options in the area.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the accommodation was nice and clean.

The only drawback we felt was the bathroom door, or the lack-of, as there wasn’t one. With two couples it becomes a little difficult. You can work around it easy enough.

Overall it was a great stay and we would highly recommend this place.

The shower is not well insulated which lead to a ton of water coming out of the shower on the floor. We had to use several towels to dry up the water that would spill out from the cracks. Also there was a horrible stench of B.O. in the lobby, and it was not an isolated incident.

Super loud in room due to poor lack of insulation despite being four floors up and away from elevator. Ceiling had major crack running down the center of the room. Shower door failed to close properly. Poorly maintained overall.
