The location is fantastic. It's 10 minutes from the Wildwood boardwalk and is way cheaper than staying on the island.
Don't expect a luxury experience but this is a reasonable place to stay near the shore. Highly recommend.

Our room was on the garden side and the floodlight outside was so bright that the room was still light even with the blackout shade down. While we appreciated the budget price, we probably would not stay here again.

The Red Roof Inn is pet friendly and the first pet is free. Unfortunately you have to walk your dog outside of the main property because the landscaping needs to be preserved (totally understandable and it looks really nice with new sod and flowers). The beds are not comfortable, but somehow I was able to sleep and my back didn’t hurt when I woke up. The fridge is nice with a separate freezer door. The shower is fine, but the towels are like hand towels and pretty rough. It is a good deal in terms of price and the location worked for us, but it is a 2-star motel so your expectations shouldn’t be too high. It worked for what it was, a feasibly priced place to stay one night with our dog. The pool looked good, but isn’t open yet and it was freezing when we were there so we didn’t get to use it.

Bare bones room which was fine for me for a night, but the place is literally next to a trailer park and an attraction for the homeless population. I got parking right in front of the office door luckily, but the crowd walking around here is so shady. I also witnessed a crazy guy continually harassing a single woman to come to his room for you know what ,and the woman was so afraid and trying to get away. She went to complain to the office. She came back out without them caring to do a thing about it and she got no refund. She left anyway to look for a safer place to stay. Super shady people hang out walking around all day and the room needed some deeper cleaning as it made me sneezy and there were a lot of dust bunnies behind the side table and along the wires etc. To improve this place, they should consider adding a usb port and a small microwave (I thought it was going to have one, but apparently not). Would never stay here again as I didn’t feel safe at any moment. Plenty options for a couple bucks more that would def be safer and probably even include breakfast.

We were looking for a basic room where we could stay near the beaches (Cape May/Wildwood) with our dog, and we got exactly that. I do not expect anything fancy of a Red Roof Inn, but it had what we needed--clean sheets, decent bathroom, a well kept room with a mini-fridge and a TV. There is a nice pool area and outdoor picnic tables. It was pretty quiet--aside from a neighbor passing by the room, we didn't hear much noise from outside. In terms of getting to the beaches and local attractions, the location is perfect--Cape May and Wildwood are both within 15 minutes' drive from this motel. There is a Chipotle and an Indian restaurant within walking distance, and a supermarket across the street.

The only best thing about this hotel was the POOL and it pet friendly! Me and my family book three separate room and even though the bed are big the rooms were small very misleading in the photos. The rooms smell very muggy and musty which I felt like they needed to clean the AC. Every time we left the room and came back it always had a funny smell to the room. The shower head was very old and rusty! Another issue arise which they have three nice patio sets with umbrellas. There was no sign stating we could not open the umbrellas! But me and my family decided to order Dunkin and eat breakfast at the patio set so we can all eat together since the rooms were very small. While we were eating the umbrella broke which it hit my niece in leg and almost hit me in the head and my newborn baby who was in the stroller luckily I caught it in time. Another people who was staying at the hotel had to help us take down the umbrella so it wasn’t dangerous. When we explain to the gentleman who ran the red roof inn he stated this is why I keep the umbrella close no one suppose to open them. My husband was upset that the comment because the gentleman was more concerned about the umbrella than us getting hurt.

Red roof inn equals disappointment
I was dissatisfied with the lack of attention. There were only 2 pillows on a queen size bed. There was one functional electric plug which was a big inconvenience. There was one small trash can in the bathroom with one bar of soap and two towels. Although the price was reasonable that isn’t enough of a reason to go back.

Ok for the price, you could see streaks on the stainless faucet, bathroom door handle was sticky. All other surfaces and floors seemed ok. You can’t turn left out of the lot. When arriving from the GSP you must go past motel turn n. around at ShopRite to be on the right side of the street to enter. Boardwalk is a 5 minute drive.

First room smelled like smoke, which facility is supposed to be all nonsmoking. Bedding was dirty, mold on bathroom ceilings, a stain on wall that looked like blood splatter, light fixtures filled with rust.
Moved to a different room, room was OK but not the best. One of the towels on rack as \"clean\" was indeed not clean. There were stains on it that smelled awful.
Both rooms had no fitted sheets just sheets laid over the mattress. Both rooms had blunt excess under mattresses and other things like hairs and what not.
Staff not very attentive or seemed to care.

Very friendly and my bed was extremely comfortable. I needed help with something and they tended to it immediately. The country they are not on the beach but it's only a few minutes away. They are also pet friendly. First pet is free.

My recent stay at the Red Roof Inn was very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The service was terrible—staff were overbearing and seemed more focused on billing us than providing a good guest experience. We even received an unsolicited wake-up call at 8:30 AM because the front desk was worried about extending our stay and charging our credit card. When we decided to stay an additional night, they charged us a $22.50 fee per room just for a late checkout at 12 PM, which felt unreasonable and unnecessary.
On top of the bad service, the hotel’s cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. The rooms felt poorly maintained, with noticeable dirt and grime. It was clear that proper cleaning wasn’t a priority, and this only added to the discomfort of our stay.
Between the lack of cleanliness and the unprofessional service, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. I will not be staying at Red Roof Inn again.

I enjoyed my stay at Red Roof Inn. This location is close to restaurants and a shopping plaza. I highly recommend the hotel if you’re traveling on a budget.

make our Cape May plans too late and had to settle here. Wasn't terrible but not what we would call enjoyable: 2 pillows not 4, no wash clothes, hair dryer did not work, sink drain missing. Can't complain about the price ($100) but would not return.
