The location was great and the view was wonderful! Everything was clean and staff were nice. The beach was easily accessible. Parking was $20/night. The pool and outdoor area are quickly closed for higher winds and heavy rain and beach access is closed during those times. The downside to staying were the lack of elevators and the speed of them. One of the 3 elevators was broken part of the way through our stay. On check in and checkout, we waited over 30 minutes to be able to get on an elevator that would fit a cart with our belongings. The lines at breakfast were very long also. Just something to factor in to timing of getting anywhere. Request a lower floor to use the stairs if possible.

Believe the poor or low rated reviews. The only good things for us were : the view from the room /hotel, the insanely soft pillows, the intense water pressure (we have a well at home so water pressure is always a plus), overall quiet and pool area.

The hotel overall is not prepared for the amount of people there in high peak times.

-you pay to park. Ridiculous.
-Our room had sticky stuff all over the walls, the beds need to be replaced - if you try to sleep in the middle you’ll fall into the craters left by other people.
-peeling paint everywhere in the room.
- the counters were all bowed, stained and in need of replacement except in the bathroom
-Elevators take forever so plan on waiting or taking stairs.
- breakfast is pure chaos. The workers are trying their best. But everything is typically out. The wait for waffles is ridiculous. Then if you get a waffle, they’ll be out of syrup and they’ll be cold by the time you get syrup. My daughter said the breakfast area smells like throw up, which it does have a odor cause the food.
-check in was painfully slow due to the computer systems.
-there isn’t much AC in the hallways or elevator waiting area
- musty odor / smell in hallways. People’s trash sitting outside all their doors because housekeeping doesn’t service everyday.
-good luck getting a chair in the pool area until late afternoon.
- AC was broken when we arrived but maintenance did come replace everything quickly!

Stay somewhere else in the same price.

Hallways were hot. Didn’t feel like they had the air conditioning on in the hallways. Pool was nice. Food was expensive, but good.

The beach front location was wonderful, but up charges that we were not aware of when booking. Pay for parking and beach rentals separately.
Housekeeping (on 3rd day) which was fine but then asked what we wanted done & then did not replace many of the usual items, some specifically requested ( TP, cups, ice bucket liners) & had to be asked for again.
Elevators very slow.
Continental breakfast with plenty of choices but very crowded and not very organized.

Check in was super slow (big line). Breakfast was crazy crowded if you go later in the morning. Food was similar to a cheap hotel complimentary breakfast. Not bad but not great. Eating really early is recommended. Laundry was expensive & didn't clean the clothes. Had to go to a laundromat. Pool facility was really nice except the bathrooms by the pool needed cleaned badly. Always a wait for the elevator. No daily housekeeping unless you request it. Won't stay at Springhill again.

Breakfast was pretty terrible. Way too many people trying to eat at the same time. I don’t mind standing and eating but not having a seat for our kids was tough.

The elevators were incredibly slow. Multiple times are key cards quit working the lobbies on the fourth floor, which is very inconvenient with the slow elevator system. If you change your reservation, they canceled your key cards and force you to come to the front desk, ie late checkouts.

I’ve been a lot of places in the US. This is definitely one of the worst places we have been overall. I would not come back.

The room was nice. It was clean. The property had alot of amenities but the prices were outrageous. On top of the rates were parking fees. Parking at a place your paying to stay at should be included. Also beach chairs should be included. Ive never stayed somewhere ive had to pay for that. All in all it was a nice hotel. Breakfast buffet was nice. Too many rude teenagers tho in my opinion but its whats expected these days. Idk of id stay there again due to all the extra fees on top but I'd recommend to anyone who doesn't mind them.

The room itself was very clean, with excellent amenities, a comfortable bed, and a beautifully maintained bathroom. The entire space had a pleasant, fresh scent that made it feel welcoming. However, the carpet could have used a deeper cleaning, and we unfortunately spotted a cockroach in the elevator, which was disappointing.
The staff were helpful overall. I had requested a 5th-floor room, but upon arrival, I discovered the view was almost completely blocked (inland-facing with obstructions). It would be helpful if the hotel clearly informed guests in advance that rooms on the 5th floor have limited or no views. I ended up switching rooms to get the view that i paid for.
The breakfast was genuinely one of the highlights — there was a great variety of options including sausage links, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, and many more. The only downside was that the menu stayed exactly the same both days of our two-night stay. Rotating the breakfast offerings daily would make it even better.
While our room didn’t have a direct beach view, the lobby offered one of the best vantage points for enjoying the ocean scenery. One small tip for future guests: seating is limited during breakfast, so it’s worth securing a table before filling your plate.
Overall, this is a strong hotel with excellent facilities and comfort. With a few small improvements in communication and maintenance, it would easily be a top-tier choice.

Traveled here with my family. Beautiful beach view with a balcony. Lots of cute stores and restaurants nearby. Loved the Pier walk.
Nice restaurant and cafe inside the hotel .

We loved our room , it was beach view ! , the breakfast was awful though if you get there before 8:30 there’s no wait for a table , but the taste of the food always so bad especially the waffles ! , I’d skip and get breakfast elsewhere , as well as there is no air diffuser in the hallways and rooms , but there is a super strong scent one in the lobby and parking garage !!! We hated it made me have a headache! Plz if you have allergy’s just be aware!!! Overall we loved it and would come again just hope they unplug the air diffuser

Restaurant wasn't open or on limited menu majority of our stay, certain drinks/menu items were only available at the outdoor bar not indoor bar and vice versa, indoor bar often unstaffed, Jelly's shop only stays open until 5pm and there isn't actual room service. This hotel has the potential to be very nice and resort like feel if they would just make all the amenities available to you. Otherwise very nice, almost like private beach access and the umbrella rental company is conveniently located right in front of the hotel. Balconies are only on ocean front side and the hotel's location is a little far down from most of the shops and restaurants so not as walkable feel as other places we have stayed in PCB. Breakfast was OK, but again if bacon is available at the downstairs shop to purchase on a breakfast sandwich, why is it not a buffet option upstairs? I realize some of this is nitpicking but I just expected a little more for the price I paid. In the future I would book a less premium hotel just to be in a better location, since most of the extras weren't really available to us anyway. But again very clean, nice ambience, loved the outdoor bar and pool setup. 8/10

The hotel itself was nice. The front desk, breakfast, and the cleaning staff were great! But so many things need improvements. We stayed in a suite which was nice. However the king bed was terribly uncomfortable. There are 3 elevators but only 2 worked our entire stay. And they were agonizingly slow. To the point that no matter how many people were on an elevator and whether it was going up or down, you got on if you could squeeze in. It was frustrating to everyone. It was great being directly on the beach. But note, the hotel does not provide chairs, umbrellas or towels. You must bring your own or rent. The pool temperature was very comfortable and the pool was mostly clean. However, the trash build up from people leaving drinks and things getting blown by the wind got a little ridiculous with only one server for the entire pool and no one cleaning up. There was only 1 bartender too on Friday and Saturday most of the day. It was a 30 minute wait for drinks at the bar those days. Poor planning by management. Overall our stay was good, but for the price, I expected better.

First time staying here but won’t be the last. I specially loved how not crowded it was even though it was a holiday weekend. The room was clean and the lobby had an amazing view, very welcoming! The beach was so close but what definitely sealed the deal for me was that I didn’t have to leave the property at all. Although the ambiance of the outside of the property was excellent (the pool,lounge area , lobby , beach area ) the rooms were terrible. Walls were filthy , bed totally uncomfortable . The tv is offset and not even in front of beds. The hallways smelled like PEE. Def not like any marriot Bonvoy I’ve ever stayed at. They really need to do the rooms over instead of concentrating on the ambiance of the outside so much.

I had such a wonderful time at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Panama City Florida Hotel from May 18-22 2026 stay. We checked in a bit later than expected and had reserved a gulf front room. NOT ADA. At check in we were put in an ADA room and was told that all gulf front rooms are ADA. No they are not! The bathroom smelled like urine the entire time we were there. The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable - lumpy. While the location was great, the room was definitely not up to par. Disappointed that we were not even offered to change rooms. Customer service was not there!

First , its placed in the middle away from everything, things to do on both ends away from the property. The elevators are very very slow . They dont offer any discounts or brochures on things to do around the area. On 13th floor in front of elevators doors ,pizza box sat in front of trash can for 3 days and the trash can stunk like old rotten cokes., the breakfast is just a standard contential ( one day almost all waffle makers weren't working) toasters one side of werent working, the staff was great ( house keeping, front desk ,everyone) ,the waterfall in pool wasn't working, and dont forget your room key ( you need that for everything) to get out doors to pool to get to your room in slow elevators. The restaurant solstice doest offer cokes or tea on menu all they list is alcoholic beverages ( which I dont drink alcohol so it was water or alcohol) ,rental for beach chairs way too expensive,

If you’re looking for a spot with a beautiful horizon view of the ocean and prefer a more peaceful atmosphere without the crowds, this place is definitely worth considering. The ocean view room with a balcony was decent—nothing extravagant, but it gave me just the right amount of space to unwind and take in the scenery. As for the food, I’d say it was just okay—not remarkable, but certainly not bad either. Overall, if a quiet setting with a lovely view is what you’re after, the Springhill Hotel does the trick.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! We stayed for a total of 3 nights. The only issue I had was housekeeping not cleaning our room after requesting it several times. They did bring clean towels and they made up one of the beds but they did not change the sheets because there was sand in the bed when we got in it that night.

Overall this was a phenomenal property and we will definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at this property and were very disappointed with the lack of housekeeping service. Upon check-in, we were informed that rooms would be cleaned every other day. However, throughout our entire stay, our room was never serviced once.

We had to repeatedly request basic necessities like fresh towels and clean sheets for the sleeper sofa, which became frustrating very quickly. Despite being told what to expect, those expectations were not met at all.

Additionally, we requested to speak with management on two separate occasions and never received any follow-up. That lack of response only added to our frustration and made us feel that our concerns were not being taken seriously.

The hotel itself is in a great location and has a lot of potential, but the lack of follow-through on something as standard as housekeeping—and the absence of communication from management—significantly impacted our experience. Consistency and accountability are key in hospitality, and unfortunately, both were lacking during our stay.

We hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements so future guests don’t have a similar experience.
