Val at check-in was fantastic and very friendly. However, once I was checked in, i was passed to another lady who was trying to book me for a time share sales pitch for the following morning. If I had known that was the kind of resort it was, i would not have booked it. When I am on vacation, I want to be left alone, not sold a timeshare in an aging building with elevators that don't work. The room itself was nice except for when the wind picked up. It made the apartment sound like a siren. The only way to quiet it was to crack the door slightly, unfortunately it was 38 degrees outside. I would not book here again.

The bunk bed had so much trash under that bed. When we moved it I had to sweep all the trash. There was popcorn, candy wrappers nothing but trash, and there was trash under the living room sofa.

I love this place and will certainly stay again. Spacious modern apartment with full kitchen, washer/dryer, and all the comforts of home. Beautiful ocean view, easy access to the beach, pool and hot tub if you want to skip the sand. Everything you need is within a 10-15 minute drive (Walmart, restaurants, liquor stores, etc). There’s also enough nearby that’s walkable.

What you should know before staying. At check in you’re forced to go to the timeshare area to get your beach bands. It’s very annoying and should be optional. Getting back and forth to the parking garage and navigating the elevators is a bit of a nonsensical setup. Beach chairs aren’t included and the rental fee is overpriced. For a multi-day stay, I’d just buy chairs nearby and leave them for the next guests. Not every unit is the same or uniformly maintained.

Beach view and beach itself was amazing. The room was not very clean… the shower was falling apart and the floor was dirty. I had to for to Walmart to purchase my own cleaning products to properly clean the bathroom. There was a random contact lenses on the floor that did not belong to either of us as well as a nasty clean surprise on the walk in the left corner of the bedroom.

First of all shame on Expedia for putting a time share trip on their site without notice and sending us into that mess. Without further ado:
1) I sent a message through Expedia to the Club Wyndham to advise my spouse is handicapped. No Response! Found a number and called front desk the day prior to leaving home and was advise rooms were available 1st come 1st serve. I advised them that as long as there was an elevator, floor level was of no concern, but more importantly we requested a room close to the the elevator so she didn't have far to go to exit. In short, assignment was1st floor about the length of a football field to the elevator.
2) No, it didn't end there! They had the front doors to the building we stayed in closed off. I planned on being able to retrieve vehicle and pick her up at the entrance when we came and went during the week. The only way my wife (She has a hereditary bone deterioration disease with her pelvis bone being in two pieces and 2 hip replacements and a knee replacement) could leave was to walk about 100 yards to the elevator go up to level 3, walk the skywalk across the street and out into the parking garage. As with all parking garages your at the mercy of availability. There are numerous handicap parking, but none were ever available. so, not enough handicap parking if needed.
3) No mention of a time share trap once you get there. At check (Oh,1500 character limit. I guess you are not really interested in a real review) Folks, don't!

Great Resort with Great Location

Everything at Wyndham was a great experience.
Upon arrival, the front desk lady was cheerful, welcoming, and pleasant - even though it was late at night. She knew we were tired from a full day of travel and got us checked in quickly without making it feel rushed.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful view. The amenities were great and having Starbucks right there was very convenient.

The location is wonderful for going to the beach, shopping, and local restaurants.

We plan on staying here next year!

Very nice property, lots of things to do on property. Multiple pools, games, game room, gym, the sky bar, tiki bar, the ice cream shop, Starbucks, and a gift shop. The sky walk is great for getting across the street. The heated pool was wonderful. Access to the beach and ocean. Every room as the best view. Will definitely stay here again. We walked to the restaurants/pizza/seafood /ice cream shop that were next door/across the street.

I will have to say I am very impressed with this hotel. The staff was always helpful when we either had a question or needed an item. They explained exactly how to navigate the elevators from parking garage to room to beach. The room was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed in a deluxe 1 bedroom condo and it was one of the recently renovated rooms. Super clean. They explained upon check-in that we may hear some construction work since they are in the middle of renovating. And yes we heard some noise but nothing crazy or bothered us in anyway. Just an amazing time all around between view and atmosphere!

The elevator situation was horrible. One elevator for a 24 story building? I mean c’mon! Then as we were leaving, I forgot something in our room. Ok, it happens. Checkout time is 10 am and we were walking out at 9:30. I forgot something and tried to open the door to go back in but they had already cancelled our ability to enter. It was not even 10 am. What if we had been on the beach and came up to get our stuff? Only to find we can not get into our room to get our stuff?? That was pretty crappy! One of the escalators was also down. We have stayed here before and enjoyed the stay. This time was less than enjoyable. There was also the numerous called on our initial day about a sales meeting the next day. I was hounded to the point of saying I wasn’t interested anymore. We were there for our anniversary and getting 4-5 calls on the first night was just too much. Then 3 more the next morning.
The pool was closed early the first night and then we watched as no one could get into the pool area at 8 am on Saturday.
There needs to be more safety measures in the tubs for older visitors.
The room and kitchen was great otherwise.

It was great. Large balcony, great view. Didn’t like 3rd floor above pool, they kindly moved me up a few floors. I spend more time in the room than your avg beach goer, and I love these rooms. Pay the extra for deluxe when you can. Best off-season place to go by far.
Unless you are here under a Wyndham promotion, you owe the sales/conciergeexceot a polite “no thanks”, even if they push it. Get your wristband, never deal with them again.
Or, they will give you free drinks and dinners and stays if you’ll give them a few hours of time. That’s up to you.
Nowhere can you get 1k square foot for this cheap. Sure it’s off season, but it’s also not crowded.

This is our second stay at this property. We love it for the view of the Gulf.
The standard 1 bedroom was plenty big with a full kitchen.
The room also had bunkbeds in the hallway. One bathroom only, in the main bedroom.
Cleanliness was lacking, dirty floors, shower curtain torn in multiple spots, towel rod falling off the wall, toilet paper holder caked with grime. Building overall is looking rundown. TV needs to be updated, not a smart tv. Bring your roku or firestick.
Front desk staff were very nice and helpful, manager lady was not very pleasant.
Overall, we would go back for the view.

Absolutely perfect! Deluxe 1br was great and spacious. Bigger kitchen than at home. Cooked every meal. Became a balcony dweller. Loved it! Booked 3 more trips in the next two months. Find the good rate dates, and it can be the cheapest option in town if you can be that flexible. No one tried to sell me anything. Even if they had an hour each day, still the best money I’ve spent on lodging in a long time.
Can’t think of one complaint.

If you want to spend your vacation waiting on an elevator to go to a dirty room after getting a very aggressive (uncomfortable and inconsiderate of our time) sales pitch for a time share (without any advance warning and you have to listen to get a wrist band that actually does NOT open your door!) then go here. Unpleasant staff to boot.

Enjoyed our stay. The condo was in great condition and had necessary utensils we needed. We had a 21st floor one bedroom unit (I heard the higher the better). Great views.
Check in was smooth until we had to talk to the concierge. We had read the reviews that noted this pushy concierge tactic. Luckily- We ended up spending two minutes with her as we told her that we are members with Hilton Grand Vacations and have no interest in another time-share condo affiliation.
Walked to the Pier in the morning (saw Dolphins, a lot of fish and stingrays from the Pier) and shopped at the Pier Park. Very nice area.
We walked to dinner at Sharky's. Had the grilled shrimp. It was delicious. Stayed for the live music which was an absolute great time.
Would stay here again!

I liked the property over all, it was right on the beach, the garage was a bit too far away. You had to cross the sky ridge to get there which was cool and they made it convenient. Staff wasn’t to friendly but they were professional. The elevators (2of them) had a dip in the floor. You couldn’t see it because the mats were covering it but it did feel unsafe in those 2elevators. The bathrooms and baseboards were fairly clean, but pretty decent overall.

I absolutely loved our room. Breathtaking views of the ocean. Clean and comfortable. Heated pool and hot tub were available. Perfect location. Able to walk to several restaurants and shops. The parking was very inconvenient. Had to park far from the hotel and take a shuttle to and from. Then get on three different elevators to get to your room. Though I am Thankful for the shuttle, I feel like we should have been told about the garage closing. The sales pitch was absolutely ridiculous and they get flat out rude. Was sales pitched at the front desk and when I kept telling her no, she got an attitude and her demeanor completely changed. Then two different times on my trip I was called with the same sales pitch….it was aggravating. Overall, I would stay again when the garage is open. I will just stop answering my phone when they call for the sales pitch.

Room was excellent. We appreciated the hot chocolate bar in the lobby.
The concierge desk was pushy and relentless. The carts were helpful to get to the parking garage when they were available. We had to allow 15 minutes to get the car each time. Unfortunately we chose the week the fire alarm system was tested from 8 am to 5 pm for several days.

The property is nice. The check-in was easy. All the staff seem nice, they say hi when they see you. There is a Starbucks on site. You are right on the beach and the views are great!

This is a timeshare property and you will be asked to attended a 90 minute presentation. I was unaware of this at the time of booking. I did contact Expedia and asked that it be included somewhere on the about the property because I would not have chosen this location because I do not like attending the timeshare sales pitches.

This property is overall nice. Our unit was roomy and clean. The check in staff was nice. Its a Great Location and plenty of parking. BUT This is a timeshare. Don't take the tour for a free vacation unless you are really in the market for a timeshare. It is high pressure sales and the free vacation is not free. There are lots of fees involved.

Not the staycation I was hoping for

Once you arrive you are asked personal questions about your income and if you’re married , etc. and hassled.l about timeshares. Once you get the key to your room after being bombarded, you Have to walk very far to get from car garage to your room. Next, I was in my room changing , and not clothed when a man yelling “guest services” started banging on my front door and I said one second and before I knew it he UNLOCKED AND OPENED the door! Then threw a piece of paper on the ground , saying thank you and leaving . I was in shock! And the piece of paper he left said it was threatening to tow cars out of the parking garage at owners expense if you didn’t move it at a specific time. Hot tub on beach side was broke. Other then that wasn’t to bad .

Bathroom was old, with a showerhead aim at my chest. I am only 5'4. Also this is a timeshare facility so be prepared to get hammered with a hard sell when you get your wristband. Musty smell in the room. We only stayed the weekend so no maid service. Parking is across the street in a parking deck. I would not stay again.

Our stay was good overall. It was interesting because the units to the west were like normal condo rentals and to the right Vrbo/personal rentals. Our group had both.
Our condo was satisfactory with a good view. Although the trim work/detail could use some updating. Our friends had appliances that didn’t work, etc. I didn’t grade the staff because we didn’t have any interaction with any. My wife checked us in and we were done. Parking is in a one-way deck and a bit of a hike thru the sky bridge. But there were ample dollies to help carry our stuff coming and going. The beach was in good shape and a short distance from the condos. The pool and deck were in good shape but small. If it were peak season, it would have been way overcrowded.
For the rate and depending on season, I can recommend this facility. If the rate were much higher or during peak season, I would have different expectations. Overall, we like Club Windom.
