Ill start with the positive. When checking in the young man was friendly, smiling and informative. I had a 10lb dog, the website said pets were okay. He changed the room that was originally assigned. I would assume because of the dog. Understandable. I unloaded and went to the room. Room looked okay. Nothing special to make you want to come back. Kitchen did have anything you would need to make a meal, coffee, etc. Noticed carpet in the bed area. Putting my things away and I got something on my feet. It was sand spurs. I am assuming the room was vaccuumed, sand spurs have to be picked out of the carpet. Carpet, beach town, sand, might want to rethink that. Also noticed the tiled floor had a lot of debris. Kitchen, bathroom and bed seemed clean. Water was nice and hot. Used the reclining chair, then the stool wouldn't go back. Had to push it very hard to get it to stay. There was a sign on the fridge saying if you would like ice just turn on the ice machine. Turned on and left all night, no ice. In the afternoon, went to the front to just ask if they had an ice machine so I could get some ice. The person in charge said the ice machine does work. I explained I did turn it on. She then offered a maintenance person, I declined and said y'all can check it when I leave. The outside area to walk your pet is completely covered in sand spurs. My dog was covered and lifting his paws because they were painful. It was pretty quiet and the bed comfortable. I will not stay again

Nice room, comfortable bed, i appreciated the grab bar in the tub/shower and provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Garshian was particularly pleasant and helpful at the front desk. The hotel is convenient to the beach and many restaurants. Would stay again.

Room was good, however upon check in that was supposed to be at 4pm, i got to hotel around 406 and was told room wasnt ready. They asked to give them 20 mins. They didnt give me my room till almost 5pm. I asked them to hurry b.c i had somewhere to be at 5pm. I was late to my event. Contacted about discount for late check in and havent heard anything. I have never had an issue with candlewood. I perfer to stay with them. If they will continue to do this, i will find somewhere else

No. They left a garbage disposal in the sink and the pipes were all disconnected. Come to find out we should have not been given that room. I was already unpacked. The next day they gave us another room so i had to pack up and move. Im still waiting for a credit for one night. Also i dont know when the last time the rugs have been cleaned. Bad from the start. Upon arrival the room we chose, a King handicap room with roll in shower was not available. The girl at the desk offered another handicap accessible room. We accepted. When we went to the room it was a queen room. I went back to the desk and she argued that it was a king room until I took her to it. She then gave us another king room. We needed a room so we accepted. After we had already unloaded all our stuff for a 4 day stay we realized more issues. The carpet was real dirty, the light over the cooktop didn't work, the coffee maker was only 1 cup with 1 coffee packet. We asked for 2 more pillows and that was like getting through Fort Knox. The towels were crispy critters and they would only give us towels for 1 day at a time.

Also take note of the dates that she put on my reservation when she gave me the room. The dates reflect a day earlier check in and a day earlier check-out. With that being said our keys got turned off a day early and we had to get them re-done. With all that, tell me why I would want to book another room at the Candlewood Suites. I believe I need at least half of my stay refunded.

The only thing we did not like is the rooms are only fully cleaned by staff on stays seven days or longer. We had to ask for clean towels several times and twice we were told there weren’t any available at that time and would be brought to our room later but weren’t. The kitchenette was fully stocked. Bed was comfortable. Free laundry service was excellent. Location is perfect… literally five minutes from the beach and close to shopping and other activities.

I would have to wait two hours until the tub fully drained. Water easily leaks out from the shower, despite the curtain. There was no bath mat provided to mop up the aforementioned water, and they only provide two full towels.
There is also no housekeeping unless your stay is over seven days and therefore no towel restock/refresh, so I was having to reuse towels. I wish there was an option for housekeeping at least every other day, or every three days.
The market options are pretty awful (mostly just unhealthy microwavable food), but having the free coffee was much appreciated.

When Expedia called the hotel the hotel LIED and said we denied giving them a card. Like we would do that after driving 600 miles.
