The room was not what was pictured, it was dirty, we had to clean the toilet before we could use it. The kitchen was tiny and the dishes were dirty. The stove had foil on the burners and one burner was broke. The fridge smelt bad. Not one time did housekeeping come by and offer to clean the room or change the linens. I had to go buy a broom to clean the room and paper plates because the dishes was so dirty but yet they charge a fee if the dishes aren’t washed at check out. The best thing about this place was the beach access and the pools. Do not recommend & will not be back!!

This was first time booking at the Flamingo motel and tower in PCB Fl. I booked an ocean view room called a cabana. It is a bottom floor room right on the beach which sounded nice online but when we arrived we found that it is so low that it is below the beach level and floods when there is a hard rain. The room was very old with rotted counters and shower walls and a huge crack in one support wall that made me question the safety of the building. The toilet had steaming hot water in it which made it completely unusable. Due to the standing water outside the room, the unusable toilet, rotted counters/walls and cluttered dirty office we did not stay the night. I had to pay for one night which was honestly worth it just to leave the property as I know we would have been very unhappy there.

When I booked it. I thought i was in tower. Unpon arrival was placed across the street. Which was not what I booked. I did get a discount. Not complaints there. But our second day there it rained and unfortunately water came into room on back wall. Reported it to hotel. They moved us when a room came available. This is where the tower room came into play and balcony view. Much better stay and would stay again there. Much cleaner and better maintained. Bar area was really nice and good food to eat.

So we stayed in the beach view rooms. The photos of the room are definitely a little misleading. They didnt show the walls that need work, or the bathroom that one person can barely fit in, and the door didnt even shut. The whole toilet was hot to touch and uncomfortable to sit on. The room just looked like a room out of a horror movie. Extremely hard to get your stuff there because you can not take the cart with you, the rooms are down stairs. There were so many roaches that we killed it was insane. It definitely felt like the beach view rooms were less tended to. The staff was nice. Parking is ATROCIOUS.

My room had mold and things on the bed and on the floor everywhere and I went to the front desk and I show the photos and I was expressed how unclean the rooms was. They came to clean around maybe 730 8 o’clock at night and all they did was cover up the stuff on the bed and the stuff was still on the floor. I asked for a refund and I was denied.

They do not care if someone is smoking! Our son is allergic to smoke & we had to deal with people smoking non stop next door for 3 nights! The smoke came into our room so heavy we had to turn on our car and put him in it, (he is 13) every AM! We told the office the entire time and NOTHING was done!! They didn’t offer another room, OR come and confront the people chain smoking 24/7!! We come there a lot, but this may be our last!

The room I booked I was under the impression was beachfront which some of the property is but some was across a busy road (where our room was) and I never saw this in the description on website so that was very disappointing. The property itself was not terrible but not great either. The room was not the cleanest, the kitchenette was very cramped, the refrigerator and stove rubbed the walls when you opened them. Bathroom flooring was literally coming up in spots, only thing that was actually good was they brought us clean towels daily but never took and trash or old towels. Overall wasn't terrible, location was close to shops and a few restaurants.

On the website it looked like the rooms were just remodeled. When we went in the room the carpet was old and worn out. The back door going in the pool and beach looked like it had been kicked in. The lock would not hardly lock ( had a hard time locking it). The bed was comfortable.

It was okay. Definitely an older hotel but the staff were great. My only issue is you shouldnt pay good money to stay at a place where youre scared to leave to drive anywhere because you'll lose your parking. Even the parking lot across the road is a joke. Any bigger vehicle is going to get blocked in and or hit. Its tight. I had to back all the way back around the corner and out because its too small. I was blocked in. On top of that you have people going to the Mexican restaurant parking in the lot during the day so any time you leave you may come back to not having a spot. Forget leaving in the evening altogether.

Overall the stay was fine, but there were multiple days without running water. They didn’t tell us at check in and when we kept asking about it they would say it should only be for an hour. They finally gave us a room to only use for showering. The water was off and on for multiple days. One of the pools was really dirty and bleached my bathing suit. And to be weird for a second, the water in the toilet was steaming hot. I’m sure you can figure out how I knew. For the beach it was fine and you can tell they’re fixing it up, but it was just an all around odd experience.

The hotel is nice, the staff are nice, Mingos served good food that was right outside the door. There are 2 nice big pools. You also can’t get any closer to the beach

Main complaints would be, however:
1. The tv only leans against teh wall? The stand/legs to stand it up were gone. 2. The bed in 127 felt like a rock, is the only way to describe it. Has a big lump on one side that won’t disappear even if you flip the mattress lol (we tried).

I like the property because it was near everything. However I was disappointed because when I booked the room I was expecting a room on the beach. They gave me a room across the street. When I asked about it they said I had to call the hotel and request the ocean front room. Any other hotel I booked with if they advertised beach front then they gave you a room beach front not across the street.

For our first visit to the Flamingo, we had a great experience! Saturday morning by 11:00 am, the “Mingo Bar and Grill” located on the property was slinging out top tier drinks and the food smelled great! Loved the atmosphere around the pools where there were guests of all ages enjoying music and fun in the sun. There is great beach access with an area to wash off before re entering the property. Overall-would definitely stay here again! Great location, super convenient to restaurants as well.

There is no cable TV at the property. There is a smart TV with built-in. The best thing about the property is the view and the staff 🩷☀️,! the beds aren’t comfortable. The stove was dirty when we got there, but they came and cleaned it the next morning they have bags of ice that cost five dollars. They do not have free ice machines. Bring some extra towels and washcloths otherwise you’re gonna have to go and ask for towels and wait for them and there was six of us and they only wanted to give us two towels and five washcloths . our door key quit working just about every day. We had to go get it reprogrammed our new card daily… the door going out to the balcony. The hinge was loose at the top and I told three different staff members about it and they said they were coming to fix it. Nobody ever came to fix it the last day I seen a gentleman walking and I said, are you coming to fix the door cause he was walking toward our room and he said what room are you in? He said no, but I can take a look at it I said well it doesn’t matter now we’re going home tomorrow. The thing about it is we would have to slam the door to shut it, and it would wake up the children. He did fix it when he came in. All it took was a screwdriver.

This property advertises “pet friendly” however, somewhere in the fine print that we never found, “they said” there are only “some” rooms that allow pets and none of the ocean view rooms allow pets. When I argued with them about the wording in their advertisements they did allow us to have a pet in the ocean view room, but charged a $75 fee!!! The room was not cleaned when we arrived and had to wait for cleaning. And then one of the beds was stained and sheets were not clean. In addition, we killed 2 huge roaches, and there was a suspicious stain on the wall that ran down and had paw prints in it. Our toilet was leaking and after reporting it, did not have have service by the time we left. Both pools were cloudy and did not seem clean!

Love the flamingo. Stay here every year but this specific trip was a bust. Pool guy was on a power trip and kept closing the pools down because he had to do his job. The courtyard room had a very very dirty couch in it that honestly needs burned. Other than that, great stay as always. Love the front desk, love the location, love the view. Def would still recommend just hope they hire a new pool guy and replace those dirty couches.

The room had leaks in the ceiling and mold was growing. When it rained, water came in through the entrance door. One of the stove burners did not work. There was damage to the walls and an actual hole in wall that was not repaired. Had trouble getting clean towels for our room daily. Water leaking down the inside the wall was a hazard because it was leaking into the light switch receptacle. The only thing decent in the room was the beds.

Room was clean . I had to go to office and request towels cause we were completely out. Lady in office said she would have towels brought to our room . We waited over an hour to start getting ready to go and eat. We never got towels til the next day . Didn't even ask to get trash . I also requested that. It never happened. Terrible customer service. The easiest way to say this is the nightmare still hasn't ended. I went to check in on a Monday and the night clerk said I would have to pay again to get checked in (I paid online). She had no record of the payment yet I showed her my confirmation on my email. I went to another hotel and wanted near the beach and this one screwed up also and put me 14 miles away from the beach. Then we tried to get a room on the beachfront and this one screwed up also. We never got a beachfront ,pet friendly, lower level (I had my handicap senior sister with me) ocean view room . What a disappointment this week has been. I hope my next vacation ( if I ever get one again) will be better than this . They were a big disappointment for my family and I this year.

When we finally got checked in at 6:30 PM, receiving an email earlier that our room would be ready earlier than the 4 check in the only thing clean was the bedding thankfully. This property looks like it hasn’t been maintained for 15+ years. The bath was not clean , the bed had sand in there, the tub was stucked up , Maintenance came thru and took care of the issues in the bathroom. ppl was arguing foul language was been said f bombs this f bombs that ect. The 2 queen beds 🛌 were great. The pool was good although we did not get to use it. But the location was clutch. It was on the strip of Front Beach. Overall for the 1 night I paid was a little pricey but we made it do what it do.

This was our family's first trip to Panama City and we had reservations with a different hotel that were canceled but we did not find out until we arrived at the location...

We immediately went searching and found flamingo up the street, we made reservations online paid online walked in and were greeted happily by the late night staff, we were shown our room and everything was absolutely amazing from there on. the price we paid to stay was well beyond worth it me and my group would love to give this place a 10 out of 5 Stars the star rating just doesn't go that high

We travel a lot from, the Atlantic to the Gulf and this is officially our number one experience out of the past 7 years of traveling multiple times to the beach we will definitely be booking this hotel our next trip to Panama City 100%

The cleaning of the room was horrible. The hotel was nothing like the pictures. Very run down, I had to go ask for a remote, not sure why there was no channels on it. Cords coming out the wall. Only great thing was the easy access to the beach.

Decided to stay an extra night but had to find a place for just one night. We found the flamingo. It’s an older hotel, but, it didn’t have a minimum stay requirement. The parking isn’t fabulous but no big deal. Some people had to park across the street. The staff was wonderful! Super friendly! Nice bar out by the pool. They have food and drinks there . There are 2 pools and a hot tub. Direct beach access is wonderful too. The room itself was meh. Like I said it’s an older hotel. Front office smelled a bit musty but, again not a big deal. What concerned me was that I didn’t want to walk barefoot in the room. After taking a towel to dry up some water that was spilled, the towel was disturbingly dirty after. We all kept our shoes by the bed incase we were going to get up in the night. Bathroom was clean and water pressure was fantastic in the shower. The beds were not very comfortable but they were fine for one night. To me, getting to stay at the beach one more day was worth it. lol The price was about the same as some newer hotels in the area, but again, the flamingo let us book just for one night and last minute too. I wouldn’t recommend for an extended stay but in a pinch it was fine. It does have a certain charm being older and still fairly well maintained.
