The hotel was much dirtier and more run-down than I expected. The breakfast wasn't very good, and the shower was by far the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel. The staff was okay, but overall I don't think I would stay here again.

Such a disappointing visit! We’ve stayed here before ( March 2026) and didn’t have any problems.
That was not the case this time. The staff was extremely rude and the hotel no longer well maintained. The man blowing leaves shook his head at us as we were leaving through the designated exit. Our room key cards quit working several times. They eventually determined it was the lock and not the cards. When I had to return to report it a third time, the girl at the desk shrugged her shoulders at me.
The room was okay, but the stopper for the bathtub didn’t work.
Next time we’re in PCB we will definitely book at a different hotel! What a shame this hotel has gone downhill so quickly!

This hotel is in poor condition, despite the reviews. I checked the reviews prior to booking & was very disappointed. The staff was great, friendly, & understanding (despite the parking lot maintenance man who couldn't wait for me to get in my vehicle before clearing the debris under it). The breakfast & parking was good too. However, during my first nights stay in room 216 I discovered it was not very well maintained. The bathtub showed rust & mold in spots. The electrical outlets in the lamps did not work, only the wall outlets. The TV options are very dated being they only offer analog channels. And after witnessing bugs crawling on the bathroom floor, that was it...time to go. I spoke with the staff the next morning to request a refund & it was granted. I booked another hotel & enjoyed the rest of my stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until every room gets thoroughly inspected & renovated.
TIP: Always check the ROOM prior to unloading your vehicle.

The staff were friendly but do not count on breakfast. We came down both days of our stay to have breakfast and there was ZERO places to sit, the bins were not being refilled at the rate that could support the amount of people in the hotel. People were even sitting out in the lobby floor eating. We went elsewhere just because of the wait to even get a chance to eat and a table to sit. I would highly recommend extra staff and a revamp of this area, maybe even matching table and chairs.

This hotel is filthy! From the check-in until our check-out 3 nights earlier we couldn't sleep and I got sick of my stomach with the mixed food and bleach smell in the room we were given! I got so sick that the last 2 days nothing I would eat would stay in my stomach! The area where this hotel is is also awful, across from storage place, very rundown place, depressing!! Who picked those carpets?? Gosh, what an disaster!! From the 1st hour there we tried to get a different room or a better cleaning in our room, but it wasn't helpful because we made our reservation through Expedia, we were treated like second class citizens! Worse stay ever!! How about the \"hot breakfast\" that is not even cooked in there because they don't have a kitchen?! Big regret ever! Oh boy! Not to mention to two roaches we saw hanging around! I suggested to the front desk they use the money from our other 3 nights to get rid of the bugs!!

Great hotel with clean room, wonderful staff and breakfast when we were able to get up before 9am. Parking in front is limited but ample parking in the back near the pool. Manager helped with my reservation (I added a day before my reservation since we got in earlier) she helped iron everything out quickly so I didn't have to pack and move to another room. SO Helpful!. It was quiet for a packed hotel. Since the cleaning schedule is different than I am used to - get extra towels since you will need them.

I stayed one night with my brother who smokes. He did not smoke in the room but I was charged a surprise $250 smoking fee. I guess from the smell lingering on his body. Even though he bathed twice in one day. So be prepared for extra fees. And he pointed out where someone prior had spilled ketchup on the floor under the table and it was not cleaned. Otherwise it was decent. I will not stay there again

Breakfast was the usual hotel processed “food”. The staff were friendly; no problem there. The property is in need of TLC. Our bathtub looked like someone hacked it to death and the staff patched it up. It was only shower worthy at best. The bathroom did have a lovely LED mirror and that’s where it ended. I wasn’t overly impressed especially for the price. But I will say the bed was comfortable and the night staff were very accommodating in getting extra blankets. I’m still disheartened for what I paid and what I got. 3/5 star

Be cautious. We booked knowing it was non-refundable if we cancelled, but La Quinta cancelled the reservation and did not refund our money. My son arrived before me and tried to check in. He is 19, which is against the hotel’s rules, but this was not posted on Expedia. I was thirty minutes behind him but when they saw that he was under 21, the reservation was cancelled. They said the refund had to go through the third party (Expedia), and Expedia claims they attempted to convince them to refund, but it was declined and nothing else can be done.

We asked for a cleaner to com and sweep up and change out some dirty towels that had ckearly been used and left behind and no one came. We waited 3days so my husband went outvand bought a sweeper and pan. On the last night i went to the front desk again and asked for some clean towels. The girl there was the nicest, sweetest customer service and she ran to get us some towels. She had the proper customer service attitude instead ilof telling us that she was off duty like on the the one on the first night. 😳 A lot of time was waisted trying to get our room up to par so we woll not be staying at a La Quinta any time soon, if ever.

I booked this Hotel through Expedia, wanted to stay Saturday night (March 7th) out in PCB because we had a whole day and evening planned for things to do. I'm local, it was better to stay the night than to drive home. We wanted a day to have some fun before the spring break wave got here.

Arrived and checked in without a problem, I did the online check in and it was fast with the person working the counter in the lobby. We got to the room there was trash left over from the previous people and several things weren't thoroughly cleaned. Housekeeping is below par on that one, attention to detail lacking. Went to take a shower before going out to dinner there was about 15 seconds of hot water. That was it. Then it became lukewarm at best getting slowly colder. We stayed on the third floor so I could understand if there was lower water pressure which it was, but the lack of hot water has nothing to do with staying on the third floor. This is probably the worst thing, no one likes a lack of hot water.
With that major problem I went looking to tell someone the issue after, I couldn't find anyone so the people working there do a really good job of hiding at the random times no one is around in the lobby. There's no bell to ring or anything of that nature.

This hotel has Wifi, it's not free however. You get handed a piece of paper and follow the instructions on your phone. $4.99/night for the half plan and $9.99/night for the full plan if I remember right.

Would not recommend.

My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham PCB Pier Park in Panama City Beach, FL, was overall positive – quiet, comfortable, and worth repeating. The front desk staff were super responsive and fixed issues quickly.

Room was clean with comfy pillows/mattresses and ample towels. Minor Florida quirks: one roach, slow-draining tub, and non-working room phone (had to report in person, but no big deal en route to breakfast). Maintenance resolved the roach and tub while we were out – efficient!

Breakfast was OK: bagels, muffins, make-your-own waffles, cereal, juices, biscuits, sausage. Eggs were oddly like egg salad Day 1, so we skipped Day 2 for McDonald’s.

Hotel has a pool (unheated), but with cold weather (snow flurries prior), staff recommended sister properties’ heated options. We enjoyed the oceanfront Beachcomber’s hot tub (a tad cool due to weather) – a great perk!

Despite small hiccups, I’d stay again for the value, comfort, and service.

Disappointed with the pool not heated, elevator service area next to our room was loud, missing toiletries then said they were out of bar soap, got locked out of our room because they disabled our keycard at 10:00am instead of 11am checkout, then never apologized, asked for a staff member to inspect our room when we were checking out to verify there was no damage from our little dog because we honestly feared they would say there was to keep our pet deposit. The young girl did, however the manager( Marsha) was rude to me and said” I’m not giving you anything in writing on the room check out being ok, we are not charging you a fee. I’m telling you everything is good. Haven’t you ever stayed at a hotel before?” Very unprofessional and insulting demeanor from this women who claims to be named Marsha the manager. I say this because later after checking my credit card a few days later, I discovered that she charged my card for the pet fee of $25. that I had already paid cash for at the property. I have the receipt. I called the hotel and the woman that answered said that there is no one by the name of Marsha however she will leave a manager the msg to call me back. No one from the hotel returned my phone call. Very bad experience, so beware before booking with this location. We are sorry we did.
