Location was great. Best part of walking out on ur balcony & seeing the beautiful beach view. But as for the facility itself, 3/10 in my book.

✨PROS: beachfront view, full kitchen, tiki bar, swimming pool, hot tub, location
👀CONS: broken stove, room not cleaned, unnecessary excessive check in time, unprofessional front desk clerk, elevator smelled of natural gas, ac did not work properly due to it not being cleaned & broken sofa bed. Did not feel as safe as I should’ve since there was only one lock on the door.

Overall, had I not paid in advance for my stay, upon my arrival & checking in, I would’ve walked out just due to the unprofessional attitude and the lack of respect the front desk clerk had, on top of the unnecessary wait time to check in. It took me about 25-30 minutes to fully get checked in.

From the moment we checked in we enjoyed everything. From the polite people at the desk to the beautiful pool and view of the beach. The room was perfect for our stay nothing fancy but perfect price point. The rooms were super clean only con is the pillows weren't the best but we lived so my only recommendation is bring your own pillow other than that it was perrrrrfect.

Also they have a tiki bar at the pool bartenders are great and drinks are so good!

Staff was super helpful and friendly. The coffee in the morning was amazing! The only down side we had was the rooms have very few dishes and no oven mitts. Our stove only had 3 working burners and when using the oven the room smelled like something was burning. I will say the smoke alarms worked! The pool area was nicely maintained and there was 5 options to get down to the beach!

The property was not well maintained. The pool was dirty looking . The rooms were dirty feeling for 188.00 a night you wanna walk into a room that you at least feel like you can take your shoes off and relax on the couch. I know that they are making plenty of money and keeping the place looking nice and clean shouldn't be a issue .. poor employees that jus do what they gotta do to get a check nothing more and probably way less. No management around , front desk had no customer service skill what do ever she tried to charge us double the amount almost triple cause our third party hadn't pushed payment thru and because my husband went in to checkin and isn't familiar with how third party transactions and hotels work , front desk tried to make him pay almost triple the price of the room.. The pool spa area closed at dark. I mean it's summertime panama city no pool or hot tub after dark? Lame. A she limit , a closing time of 12, and some noise rules should be thought about. Only reason I agreed was because of hot tub and I didn't even get to get in it . For the price not worth it spend your money elsewhere. You can get nicer rooms for your money..

The staff was not good at all they were rude didn't explain to me there was a specific smoking area when I got there I got a $300 charge on my card for being on the balcony they had several different charges on my card that kept changing didn't know how to help me by explaining why I had so many different charges on my account ignored me while I was in the middle of getting help to help someone else the maintenance employees outside smoking marijuana room 311 smelled like straight cat piss hot water in the shower didn't work front desk was supposed to send maintenance but they never came couldn't get to the beach at night from any of the entrys the beds are horrible the pullout couch needs to be thrown away immediately the parking is a joke with majority of guests having to park across the street not a pleasant stay at all

Front desk person was friendly and kind. My biggest issue was with maintenance. I had problems with the toilet and had to keep refilling the toilet tank to make it work. I complained about this issue several times. I eventually got upset and cut my vacation short. Never use Beachcomber again.

The view was great, however, the ad for this property is much outdated. I booked this place thinking breakfast was served daily as it says in the description. It was not. There was no BBQ grills like it says in the description. When we were checking in, there was someone there trying to collect payment for services rendered and it didn’t seem as though the staff even knew who the current manager is. Our bath tub did not drain properly. One of our dresser drawers had a very strong marijuana smell and you could smell it all over the grounds. What happened? We met some people that commented about how great the Beachcomber used to be, but how badly the property has went downhill over the last couple of years. Beach chairs are available for $25 per day. It was not a horrible stay, but I will definitely be looking at other options in the future.

Staying at Panama City beach has always been great. This time was going to be my 3 year old first trip to a beach.
We had a room that was not cleaned at all and my 3 year old found a sex toy under the bed. If someone had cleaned the room right then they would have seen it. You are putting kids at risk of STDs by touching something like that. This was preventable.

The mattress absolutely sucked! There was a crater in the middle and we always fell in it. After 2 nights of misery I told the desk clerk. They did replace that mattress with one without a crater in the middle but it was real soft so the back aches continued.
The location and the view were awesome.
Kitchen could use more tools to cook with.

Two AC’s in our room, only one worked well, asked staff more than once to check the other, and never did even after saying they would.

Our room was not clean - the floors were nasty and one of the beds had blood or chocolate all over the covers which we didn’t see until the bed was turned down. There was water on the floor which maintenance had to come clean up. 2 burners on the stove didn’t work. We were told everything was fixed but it wasn’t. The girls at the front desk were very helpful and seemed to be concerned, but the manager told us she’d get it fixed but didn’t do anything. The property had some good benefits, like being beachfront with balconies, the staff food and drinks at the tiki hut were good. The pool was nice by the 3rd day. The 1st day it was cloudy, the 2nd day they drained it halfway, but never closed it. Kids were jumping into a half full pool. Even when they closed it later in the day, they never put up any signs saying it was closed. One of the 2 elevators wasn’t working the 1st day, but again no sign. Parking was a pain and they only have 2 handicap spots. It’s a shame because this property could be very nice, even if dated. Definitely is lacking in the management of the property.

Lei las opiniones sobre este lugar y mis expectativas cambiaron. Al llegar iba con una idea. Si buscas cercanía, playa cerca, vista hermosa, ubicación y precio, este es el lugar, si deseas mayor confort, y categoría no.
El personal muy atento, la limpieza de las habitaciones no, pero si quieres relajarte y disfrutar no es impedimento para pasarla bien. El estacionamiento cerca es escaso, pero al cruzar la calle hay suficiente espacio.
Si tuvieran en cuenta la limpieza de las habitaciones y el cambio de algunos muebles antiguos fuera mucho mejor.

Been going here since 2012 last stay 2019. Parking lot is half gone. Four cars blocking only way in and out at check in. One employee watching the other at check in even with two check in/out counters. Two a/c units per room, only one working.75 lowest it would go. After second complaint they switched the units. No spares. Honestly maybe worse after switching them. Key cards reprogrammed multiple times. Room clean up every 3 days. No wonder trash stayed full at the balconies. Beds hard like feel the springs hard. Couch/ bed same as 2012. Same for table and chairs. Two chairs to eat, six sleeping spaces. Silverware, cups plates not enough for bed spaces. Spanish only housekeeping had to use phone translator to communicate. But she was very helpful. Shower was awesome and the best thing about the room. Paid for a “suite “ room, same room I’ve paid for at a lot less here over the years.

It is what you pay for. Bathroom mirror had a huge crack. Stuff spilled down the cabinet drawers. Our door card stopped working tried to replace the card 2 times still did not work. Had to wait for maintance to reprogram the door. Room service came everyday we needed them to to get new towels and change bed sheets. Front desk was pretty quick about fixing any issues we had. We were fortunate to get the room we had. Alot of complaints from other rooms. Like shower not working. Old style tvs. Lights in bathroom didnt work.

The staff was the best thing about the property, the pictures in the ad for the hotel didn’t look like that when we checked in. The mattress we sank down to the bed frame and could feel the springs. The curtains had stains on them and our smoke detector chirped off and on for a day and a half, maintenance had to come and install a new one. The hotel needs a complete overhaul!

The beach view was excellent. The building itself seems to be falling apart with visible cracks every where. A coin toss if the elevators are working when you need them. The cleaning staff was polite and helpful. The front desk people were rude and lazy at check in. As I was accused of canceling my reservation and not having one when I tried to check in. I was then asked to make a new one and pay for it again when I showed my confirmation number through Expedia they were then blamed for the error. Another co worker told the lady to make the reservation herself she has rooms available that I would be out of luck if they didn't but they did so she could fix it. She declined and let a supervisor she called on the phone do it. Said she's not doing that but playing on her cell phone was more important. Also posted signs for bar hours weren't honored and the bartender was rude to my daughter. Looked her up and down and said we are closed as she entered the area and he was clearly serving other guests. It was 600 pm bar is supposed to close at 900 pm.

We had a great week long stay, especially when considering the price we paid to be right on the beach. The rooms were definitely older and therefore felt slightly dirty even immediately upon arrival. It was obvious some things had been painted over rather than repaired/replaced. The sinks didn’t drain well during use. The bathroom and balcony doors didn’t close well due and required to be slammed to close properly. The beach view from the room was fantastic, the pool area was clean (but several lounge chair needed replaced due to being partially broken), and beach access was incredibly easy which is alway a huge benefit with kids in tow. Overall, the rooms quality seemed to match the price we paid for the stay.

The evening front desk staff were wonderful and helpful! The daytime outdoor staff were great! The rooms were not great. Very dated and a lot of things did not work. Parking lots were atrocious but free. Housekeeping was helpful but it was not worth the price at all. Yes its on the beach but you desperately needs to be updated and every single lounge chair outside fixed since most were broken. I won't stay there again.

The hotel staff were super sweet, the view and location are incredible and that's why I gave it 3 stars. The hotel rooms are in need of some serious maintenance and the bed wasn't comfortable. The tiki bar didn't serve food because it was Monday and they didn't have a wide selection of beverage choices so that was a big disappointment. But for the price I guess some issues are to be expected. Yes, we would stay here again.

The first night we were there the people next door started arguing and fighting around 2:30 am. They went outside and lock themselves out. I went out because their fire alarm was going off. When the security got there and open the door, smoke came bellowing out
The room first was filthy.
I think we should be refunded for two days including resort fees. The room we were in was filthy.
It's not our fault the couple next door started a fire, argued and scream all night. The security didn't take care of the problem. They let them go right back in the room after we called the 2nd time. We made a statement to the police for the hotel.
They started to kilt the room next to us that was burned. The older came into our room. We could not breath. We talked to management.
Today we came in from the beach pack everything and help move it the other room.
We are two older women on vacation. We came to relax and not worry about anything.
This has caused unnecessary stress for both of us.

The room is worn and the mattress was hard . But it’s clean . Parking is limited by room. We had to park across the street. Close to pier park and restaurants. I would stay here again.

The rooms are not the cleanest. The bathroom floor doesn't look like it's been cleaned. The bathroom door is messed up at the bottom & the doorknob. The balcony door doesn't stay shut unless you padlock it. The floors were dirty from the minute we checked in. We went & bought a broom to sweep it just to feel better. The remotes are missing the back that holds the batteries. The cleaning person didn't show up until our last day, & it's only because I reported it to the front desk that we had to go hunt for towels, toilet paper & trash bags. Then after they came in, they told my husband that there was a miscommunication, that if there is anything on the beds, they don't clean the room. So that means no new towels or anything if you forget a shirt on the bed? The elevators are extremely slow. The extended parking is \"under construction\" & has been since we checked in yet nobody is working on it. We has to park in the extra area next to the extended parking & walk a block to the building. The pool isn't as clean as it should be & there are never towels out. People tend to lay claim to the lounge chairs so unless you're there at day break, you may not end up with a chair. Don't even think about using the laundry room. Maintenance did little to nothing to fix the problems. Sprayed WD40 on the balcony door which worked for 12 hours before sticking again. Drawer was busted on the front. Fridge door shelves were missing. None of that was fixed when reported. Baseboards covered in dust

The air conditioner didn't work. The refrigerator froze up and then defrosted leaking onto the floor. Maintenance came by and said we couldn't get anything fixed until the following day. So we were only able to use the bedroom area of the suite because the living room became too hot during the day. They were not able to get it fixed while we were there.
The place is sorely outdated. The stove and refrigerator looked like it belonged in the 50's, the doors were sticking and hard to open or close.
They gave us a $50 gift card to their restaurant as an apology and said they would refund $30 condo building charge.
The manager of the complex was really sweet and told us she couldn't do more without higher up approval.
We were there for our 25th anniversary and wished we had just stayed home.

This hotel is very run down, property is not maintained well. Hot tub didn’t work the entire eeek.
WiFi didn’t work all week. Elevators were absolutely disgusting. Overflow parking was horrible; in a dirty, unlit lot across the street. Beachcomber needs a major overhaul. Couldn’t be on the balcony due to neighbors on both sides smoking pot.
Will never go back and do NOT recommend. Sad that the property owners have not kept up with it updated/cleaned/maintained this property.

Two positives… The staff were all nice, and the food at the tiki bar was good.

Parking was a nightmare. Ended up paying for parking, when it should have been included. The property wasn't that great. No ramp for beach access just steps. Made it hard to bring beach gear down to the sand. The staff seemed like a
bunch of kids.
The room wasn't that clean either. House keeping does not come everyday, and we ran out of clean towels. And when we went to the desk, they laughed and said they will put some in our room. The kitchen in the room was ok. We only used the toaster and it worked. We got charged for coffee and didn't even use it.
The bar was nice and the bartenders were very nice. The drinks até a little over priced...but good. The pool seemed ok. It was closed one whole day. We didn't use it.
I don't think we will go back to this hotel.

This was a truly relaxing vacation. The property right on the beach the view was priceless. I woke every morning drinking a cup of coffee on the balcony and then made my way down on had another on the beach. It was nice quite and relaxing. Everything was at walking distance. The staff was amazing. My family and I already made plans to come back in December and stay another week to unwind. I can not get over how beautiful the what sand beach, blue water, and how clear it was. Really there are no words to explain it you will need to come and experience yourself.

The location is perfect, the beach is beautiful and the staff is helpful. I did see some improvement from my last stay but the rooms are still in need of some tlc in the bathroom and kitchen area. A little touch up paint and caulk could go a long way without much expense. The jacuzzi was broke throughout our 8 day stay. Beachcomber is a good value and because I saw some improvements I will return.

The front clerk said it was a $100 deposit in case I damaged the room in some way or smoking in it but I get it back if everything ok. I didn’t smoke in room or anything. I only got $80 something dollars back. I was so disappointed I didn’t even want to know why. EVERY hotel we stay at tries to get over some kind of way. Now I won’t stay there anymore.

This was the worst hotel (condition wise) that I have ever stayed at in the last 20 years. It was dirty, rundown, noisy, and the staff could not have cared less. The ocean front balcony was unusable as there was water (dripping from the room above) covering most of the floor of the balcony with black mold. There was black mold on the ceiling above where the water was dripping from, so this was not a recent problem. I reported this to the person working the front desk, and he said they were working on it, (they weren't). I asked to change rooms, and he said they were completely booked. Also, the pictures on the Hotels.com listing must have been from when this place first opened, so if you were to imagine that same room after 30 year of wear and neglect, that's what it looks like. I won't even try to describe the bathroom. If we hadn't checked in so late, I would have left. I'm still amazed at the recent reviews this place received. Either they're family members, or we just got the worst room available because we were late checking in. Either way, this place should be bought, torn down and rebuilt, because it does have an incredible view of the beach, ocean and a great location.

The hot tub didn’t even work when we were there. Got a room with a kitchen- there were no utensils for the kitten for us to use. Our key card kept not working even though it was never touching a phone and sat in my wallet the entire time, this happened 3 times. Our toilet stopped working and they staffs only form of “helping” was “come get a plunger” for the money you pay you’d expect a better experience.

The location is excellent-about a 20 minute walk to the boardwalk. The beach was beautiful and the Tiki bar on site was awesome. (Limited hours)

The facility however needs some work. A fresh coat of paint (everywhere) and cleanliness would make a huge difference for this hotel.
