LOVE the coffee/ water bar in the common area on our floor. Especially the sparkling water option. Would've loved a diet coke, but that would've just been an extra perk. Our room had separate bathroom and shower areas with 2 sinks. Loved that. Side view of the lake was nice. Love the puzzle in the hotel lobby. Great stay!

Disappointed. The hotel is getting tired and needs a little uplift. I.e. worn carpets in elevators. The refreshment bar on our floor needed attention—espresso/coffee machine need not work properly; carbonated water did not work. We have stayed previously and enjoyed the hotel. It just seems like it is in need of some attention that it is not getting. The staff was as usual, very attentive and polite.

Hotel Vermont is just okay. Stay somewhere nearby for half the price. We didn’t get our room cleaned as specifically asked for (they only clean rooms by request), our main sink drain was clogged during our stay, and the walls are paper thing (you can hear and feel everything around you). Free parking would have been nice for this kind of pricey stay. Not worth it.

Hotel Vermont is a local icon, and the whole place is beautifully and sustainably designed. We had a great stay, dinner at Juniper was excellent, staff incredibly helpful and kind (we were travelling with an infant). The location is great for strolling along the lake, downtown, and so on.

The room was large. There are no dressers in the rooms, just some low shelves that are not that easy to use for storing clothing. As in all hotels, I wish there were more hooks in the bathroom. We couldn't be more happy with our stay. The hotel staff was super accommodating to our needs. We used the hotel as a base for a cycling trip. They agreed to receive our bike from UPS a day early, allowed us to take the bike to our room, agreed to store the bike case while we rode north for a few days, and agreed to allow UPS to pick up the bike from the hotel after we departed. The rooms were spacious, had high-end artisanal soap made in Vermont, and were very clean. Each floor has a centrally located on-demand, freshly ground coffee machine and a sparkling water dispenser. The hotel is well located to many downtown restaurants. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. We have stayed here three years in a row and also enjoy the fitness facilities and breakfast in the morning. The one thing that might impact future stays is the cost at just over $700 a night.

The only drawback was they charge for parking. When I checked out after one night they told me I had to pay for parking and they ran my card before telling me it was $16. I thought it would have been more professional if the host told me the price before running my card when I checked out at the desk.

This is a very unique hotel. The bathroom is 2 rooms, which is a little odd, and the whole configuration is different, not bad, just different. Had a lot of road construction in the area, which affected our walkability, but we managed. The bed was comfortable.

My car was vandalized in the parking garage attached to the hotel. The person at the front desk told me that the parking garage is a separate business and I should take it up with them. Parking garage did have security cameras so I filed a report with the Burlington police. Still waiting to hear back but I won't hold my breath.
My main complaint is how unsurprised they were that my car was vandalized while charging in the overnight charger. They even told me that another car charging at the adjacent charger was vandalized that night as well. Maybe a bad review will spur them to do something about this ongoing problem.
Everything else was fine but they need to provide a little more protection for cars charging overnight or at least take some accountability this ongoing problem.
My suggestion is to move the EV chargers away from the street entrance. Most likely somebody with a hatred for EVs saw one charging and decided to do something stupid.

This is my fifth trip staying at this hotel in as many years. This is such a unique hotel next to two typical chain hotels. It's a boutique hotel filled with all things local. A celebration of Vermont. Juniper is a great in-house restaraunt and tge second Hen of the Wood is next door. And for good reason.
The staff are phenomenal and welcoming and they sell local items from the rooms in the gift shop. The rooms have a smart design with separate room for the toilet and bath with frosted barn doors that open into the room. While chain hotels put you in a generic room, this honestly feels like comfort of home...from the tweed wool bathrobe to the local authored books to the real plant in the room. Feels warm and cozy.
My only minor beef is that the attached parking garage is shared with college students, so you may not end up with a spot next to the hotel door from the garage. But that is easy to overlook with everything else this hotel has to offer.
