The property appeared clean overall, my only concern was during my check-in on May 1st. When I arrived, there was an individual in the lobby who appeared to have very poor hygiene. The lobby area had a strong, unpleasant odor, and I was concerned for my health as the individual was coughing and leaning over service counter. I didn't want to approach the counter after, but thankful for the lady that was working, she sanitizes the whole area before serving me. I was on a weekend layover and needed to be healthy for my upcoming flight, this experience made me uneasy about the sanitary conditions of the guest rooms and common areas.

I would like to suggest that the hotel implement a policy or standard regarding guest hygiene in shared spaces to ensure a comfortable and professional environment for all patrons.

We had an overnight stay in between cruises. Having got of a ship early in the morning we arrived prior to advertised check in time but were given a room as soon as one was available for which we were grateful. The room was a twin queen bed as requested. It was clean and had a coffee maker but no milk in the fridge (we purchased some from the shop downstairs). The bed was comfortable. There was only one chair for the two of us which meant one had to sit on the bed to watch TV. Location was good, walking distance to ALA MOANA CENTRE and Walmart supermarket with restaurants and takeaway also nearby. The airconditioner was a little noisy when it cut in. We were given a discount voucher for breakfast which we didn't use. This Hotel served our needs for the one night stay but we would choose another for any extended stay.

First the good: location was just a 5min walk to Don Quixote, short drive (8min) to the cruise port and close to lots of bus stops. The staff was friendly and was able to accomodate our request for a late check out. They offered $5 breakfast that was quite hardy and tasty.

Now the bad: This was rated as a 3 star hotel so I expected it to be on par with a Hampton Inn. Especially since the pictures made the place look quite decent and it has good reviews. Instead this felt closer to a motel. There is no AC in the lobby, also there isn't a front desk staff 24/7 (so just be aware if you are coming in between hours of midnight and let's say 6am). The rooms were fitted with a window AC, so while it did have AC, the AC was really loud and didn't keep the room to a very consistent temperature nor did it reduce any humidity. And as someone who doesn't handle humidity or heat, this was definitely an issue. While the room looked clean when I first got in, I found a cockroach on my bed! I was so freaked out I barely slept. Luckily we were only there for 1 night before heading to a cruise, otherwise I would have looked to move to better lodgings.

Breakfast was great, but be aware that there are no vegan options. Staff were all very friendly. The room wasn’t super clean, the sheets were stained and the pillow looked like it had footprints on it. I asked for new ones but didn’t get them. The air conditioning didn’t actually cool anything off, all of the settings were the same temperature, and it was probably the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re a light sleeper, you won’t get much sleep, the road noise is brutal. Even ear plugs didn’t help.
But the location is great, easy to get anywhere and the pool and I pins are nice.

The rooms have been renovated and we love it. The air conditioning was a window unit and did it's job. Staff are friendly and responsive to your needs with extra towels, etc. Breakfast is great and cheap!!

Conveniently located outside Waikiki and recently renovated nicely, the Pagoda is good but not fancy. It’s a family hotel. Amenities fee includes a $5 pp served breakfast, WiFi, newspaper, etc. Extra parking fee, but not as much as other areas in Honolulu. Our room was remodeled, spacious, and attractively decorated. Cold AC.

Before booking I read all of the reviews. And they are very accurate. The breakfast was the highlight. The renovations made everything fresh. It was great to have parking. And it was in such a very good location. Only wish there could have been an accommodation to be able to check in earlier than 4:00 p.m..

Pagoda Hotel got more than just a refresh. They spent some time putting together little logos and flair that made it more of a signature piece than just a hotel. Staff ensured we were able to access everything we needed. Note that it is still directly in the city and very close to Ala Moana Mall which means you get some traffic noise if on a lower floor. It was gratifying to see they still had lively carp and open air environment. The reduced price breakfast was not just value but also quality.

Hotel pictures on the website were doctored to look better than they were actually. Room was clean but pretty basic. The neighborhood was pretty run down and our “city view” from the king size bedroom was a parking structure. Okay for a one night stay.

We arrived at 7pm. Come to find out refrigerator wasn’t working. Made the called at 8pm never responded to us till. 1am. I told the lady at the fed was late guest was in the room were my parent 78 and 71 . And she told me she didn’t want to re do everything since she already tried to move us to different room at 1am

Requested access rooms for disabled person but not enough rooms to accommodate. All first floor rooms should be disable accessible. And all first floor entrance doors should be easy for disabled person to open and walk in and out.

I am born and raised in Honolulu and retired abroad so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed staying at the Pagoda Hotel. The location is so convenient that I didn’t need a car and walked everywhere and rented a Biki Bike just outside the hotel when I need to go a bit further away. The room was spacious and clean and surprisingly quiet. The breakfast was excellent and the service was quick and friendly. I previously stayed at more expensive hotels and didn’t enjoy myself like I did at the Pagoda Hotel, definitely will stay here again.

The location of the hotel is a bit far from waikiki beach so you can’t just walk there because it will take more than an hour but the flip side is that street parking is easy to find and it’s free from 6:00 pm to 7:00 am so you don’t need to pay the $33 per day hotel parking and can drive to waikiki or any other beach! Rooms are recently remodeled and clean. They do housekeeping every for days but they would give you clean towels if you ask. Overall we had a pleasant stay

No breakfast onsite . it was offisite restaurant , pool was closed no parking on premises. additional cost for parking and amenities such as wifi/fridge and microwave .. these we are additional cost to the \"resort fees\". was charged $362 and during check out i was communicated that i still owed $10.00... which i refused to pay.

Room had used ear swab on the bed during check in, booked a room for four and was left two towels, requested room cleaning while we were out on day 4 of the stay and were told we had not been scheduled for it which left us with dirty towels and a mountain of trash that was not picked up day 6 of the stay I requested more towels at the front desk and the front desk manager as her name tag said come off with very rude tone because all of the guest were not listed which was her employees mistake but did not take accountability for it making it seem like it was my fault the pool was clean but cold but was not able to use it as the light inside was broken overall it was okay and it was a place to stay during our trip but it did not seem that the facility or staff were offering any form of exceptional service or amenities

My husband and I basically only stay at this facility because of ease of getting around. We also like the staff that works there because they are kind and sincere. The hotel has renovated the rooms recently and it’s really clean and enjoyable now. We do miss not having microwave. I wish there is a central place to use it as there are a lot of eating places around and we always have leftovers.

Apparently making reservations with Hotels.com is a disaster. I put in for the 27th and Hotels.com gave me the 28th. This is not the first time this has happened. Thus I had not reservation for the day I was in Honolulu. Cost to me close to 600 dollars, given the money spent on the first reservation, the cost of getting a last minute reservation at another hotel and the taxi to the new hotel.

Pillows were terrible absolutely cement blocks to sleep on! Not sure how something so cheap and so critical to good rest can be intentionally overlooked. I say intentionally because all pillows in the room were the same rock hard.

The room was just ok but what was annoying is that they charge you over $200 for an amenities fees (for a 5 night stay) which only includes wifi, a newspaper that you can grab from reception, if you wanted to use the safe. The room only gets cleaned every 4 days of your stay. They won't even clean your bins or refresh bathroom amenities. Our room was next to the pool so all night all we could hear was the noises from the pool area. Wasn't a great experience! The only good thing about this place is that it is close to Walmart and Ala Moana shopping centre. But I won't be staying here again. Not worth the price vs what you get.
