The lady who checked us in initially was nice. But after we checked in and went to the rooms we discovered that the rooms were moldy in and around the windows, and even the box springs for the beds, the mattresses were stained. The bedding had cigarette burns throughout, the bathroom was filthy, and there were burnt wall sockets. We decided we couldn’t stay because of the health hazards so we tried to talk to Staff, but no one was available at the front desk for over an hour. We walked around all the public spaces and couldn’t find anyone. We decided to leave and book a different hotel.

The restaurant on-site was closed. Building smells like mold. Everything is outdated and dirty. Good luck getting hot water for a shower. It was just gross all around. I will never stay again and I’ll sleep just about anywhere.

We did not stay at the Northwood. We had never seen such a dirty place. We turned the key back in and left. Please refund the amount to my credit card since we did not stay there. This motel needs to be closed by the health department. The bedding had not been changed and there were bulbs burned out in the bathroom- which had hair in the tub and the sink.

This hotel is in horrible and viral condition every unit and every floor. It has to be closed complete for the full Renovation as soon as possible! The water pipe in the sink is clogged and we couldn’t use it caused the water coming on the floor carpet through the wall next to the bed where my kids were sleeping. Due to the constant water on the carpet there were a mold and also the same critical and unsafe conditions all over the carpeted floors in the hotel everywhere. Most of the amenities are nonfunctional at all. The towels are provided dirty with the other people’s hair in it. TV was partially working and problem was with a volume. The beds were partially cleaned and washed. Some of the lamps didn’t work. Other people complained at the front desk but the staff didn’t solve the problem and didn’t help.

Online said there was a restaurant but when we got there, the restaurant was closed. Because we had a large trailer attached to our truck, it was difficult to go anywhere to get food (which is why we chose this hotel). Thankfully the gas station next to it had decent food. The lobby smelled terrible. The place was very run down, not at all as pictured. The room itself hasn't awful except the stain of who knows what on a pillow and a bathroom that was extremely outdated and moldy in the tub. Would not stay again.

Was told they were booked and that we had the last room. My kids thought the hallway smelled like old vomit. Upon entering the room, it had a strong musty smell. It made me question if the room had mold. Carpet looked dirty with some sort of stains in spots. We had 2 double beds for 4 people in the room. There was only 1 pillow. The bathroom light was completely out, but we could make out brown dirtiness in the tub and by the sink. The mirror also hadn’t been cleaned. There was a random comb and an alka seltzer packet left from a previous guest? I didn’t look for it because I was just shocked at what I saw, but I’m guessing there was no bath towels present either. It was late in the night but we checked out to move to another hotel. The room should’ve never been rented out.

There were huge holes in the parking lot, broken bottles, no air conditioning in hallway, the hall smelled, sliding door in room would not lock, mold on walls, sticky floors. 1st room has frozen refrig that could not be opened. They switched 2nd said this has fridge, had to go back for 3 rd time to office , no fridge. They looked ok there is one in this 3rd room they turned up cool to maje it wor sorta cool. The team at the hotel was amazing. Everyone I interacted with was kind, respectful, and ready to assist. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had a pleasant stay. Their warm attitude really made a difference!

My SO and I were passing through and needed a place to lay a head for the night. The reviews were hot and miss. Well let me tell you, believe the negative ones. This is probably the worst place I’ve ever had the opportunity to stay at. The bathroom has not been cleaned since the 1800’s and the place smells like a 70yr old smokers lungs. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because I was hoping to finally find Jimmy Hoffa’s body under one of the beds. Anyways I’m scheduling an appt with my doc to get a tetanus shot right after the stay. So enjoy at your own risk.

This place looks NOTHING like what’s posted online. It’s a total s**t hole that should’ve even condemned years ago. No secure access-anyone can get in any door. The room was filthy, mold on the wall behind the toilet, sink looked like someone threw up and didn’t wash it down. Truly felt like I should’ve had my concealed carry. Nasty, nasty place and hope you never stay there. We were apprehensive about leave our motorcycle outside. There’s also NO bar/restaurant or pool. Frightening place.

This property is run down & in poor condition. Room was poorly cleaned and supplied ( only one set of towels, no tissue or toilet paper. Most of the electrical outlets were broken & inoperable. I chose this property because it had restaurant. But the restaurant was closed! I did not pay much for the room, but it was too much. This property should be removed from the Expedia website.

The only thing to like, just barely, about this hotel is the easy access to the freeway. Save your money and frustration by NOT STAYING at Norwood Inn and Suites. Rooms are noisy, windows won't shut, can't see out of the windows, missing light fixture really slow getting hot water, staff was less than effective. Manager on site was friendly and helpful. Hotels.com was not paying hotel for services I paid them for and manager was patient and accommodating while they figured it out. Hotels.com ruined the night by insisting to be on the phone with me for over an hour while I was trying to have dinner before restaurants closed on a Sunday night. The room smelled of disinfectant and had a wad of hair in tub drain and hair all over as well as a very dirty tub. Could not see out of cloudy windows at all. Overall the hotel is old and needs major repairs, a good cleaning would help but not much. Toilet leaked loudly, had to turn it off in middle of night. Will never stay here again, i felt dirty when checking out.

I was supposed to get a whirlpool suite only to find out none of their whirlpools are working, so I ended up getting a different room walked in turn the light on in the bathroom and there were cockroaches and I left so disgusted I would like a full refund for my $150 because I had to go get a different room And spend another 135 I have stayed in many hotels in my lifetime and I’ve never seen one as gross as this. The doors off to the side of the front door had no key locks. Anyone could have snuck in and not been seen from the front desk. I saw a small roach crawling on the wall of my room. The parking lot lightning is not sufficient enough for safety.

We reserved on expedia. Got to location and was turned away at 12:30am, they claim they had no rooms available, however the only car in parking lot was employees. The place looked likr it should be shut down. 2 other parties were turned away as well who had reservations.

It was extremely dirty , only gave 1 towel per room, u had to pay 5 for a towel , if you wanted ur money back you had to bring ur wet used towels back to desk, no soap, no kleenix, 1 wash cloth per room also, i realize it was a cheaper place but it was very dark and sketchy, glad i wasnt traveling alone.

To start it off the room we were given was already occupied and the room we ended up getting didn’t have electricity on the one wall so the tv, refrigerator, etc did not work. Not to mention the door didn’t lock with just shutting the door. To say we were less than satisfied is an understatement. The bathroom and the halls were not the cleanest.

I had to request towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, a garbage can. The coffee maker didn’t have a carafe. The tv remote was also gone. The carpet was so scary looking that I never walked on it without shoes. No functioning ice machine (in July) and the pool was closed “for maintenance”.
When I first walked in the smell of bleach was overwhelming. I learned later that this masked the smell of smoke emanating from the carpet despite it being a non-smoking room. I kicked it up every time I moved around the room.
I was only in it from 10pm to 8am, so I toughed it out.
Next morning went to the “free breakfast” only to find absolutely nothing available. Not even coffee. Apparently the coffee maker had broken a few weeks ago. This was my breaking point and I demanded a price reduction. I was given a full refund. The amount they lost would have fixed their coffee maker. SMH

I liked that the hotel was once a very nice one, and that it was close to the freeway. The room was really dated...omg!! The carpet was sticky, the a/c unit squeaked when shutting off, the bathtub was stained and old, the caulking around the tub was falling out, there wasn't a light in the bathroom...other than a sunlamp, the hallway was dingy with ceiling tiles missing....and I could go on and on. I would have expected a room like this to go for about $50, NOT over a $100!! I thought about sleeping in my car prior to booking this room....I SHOULD have!!

Not much to like about it. If you stay here check everything. First room I was put into was absolutely trashed. Second room smelt like it was their personal smoking room. One thing that was good was the bed was made nicely. Shower floor was absolutely disgusting, didn’t even shower there didn’t trust the water and ended up just getting a different hotel. Do better and clean up the place a bit. Sorry not sorry

to start with they checked someone else into our room before we even got there, we did get another room, the bathroom had no towels, the light in the bathroom didn't work,the coffee pot in the room didn't work and no coffee in the lobby,TV had like 6 channels and there was dogs barking all night everytime someone went down the hall, signs in the hall for wet floor from dogs pee in the hall and the parking lot had sink holes all over ..not a good place to stay at all

I have stayed in hotes/motels all over the world and this was the worst experience ever. The sink, not the toilet, in our first room plugged up and maintenance couldn't fix it, We had to change rooms, and it took 3 tries to get key cards programmed to work the lock. We had to get the key cards reprogrammed 3 more times in the next couple days. The restaurant they advertise is closed permanently, yet they have a sign on the main street advertising it and happy hour. The continental breakfast they advertise is with a container of cold cereal coffee pot in the lobby, but I didn't see any milk. There were a half dozen rooms on the first floor with no door locks, and the hallways needed to be vacuumed. Sometimes the main staff person would talk about the New Owner, and other times he would say there's no new owner. TV had no channels worth watching and we got tired of the empty promises to get us more. The reception on those channels we had was terrible. On a positive note the refrigerator and microwave worked, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. this place is a dump and the management doesn't seem interested in fixing anything. I looked at the reviews for a number of other Norwood Inn & Suites and they all had terrible reviews, so this seems to be typical.

We witnessed arguments yelling at each other in the hallway… by the staff. We had flies coming and hair coming out of our sink that basically was clogged. No handle on our bathroom door. We went to buy our own sheets and overall just dirty. On top of it the bar/restaurant is now shut down.
