We had a wonderful stay at the Gillette! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home.

Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel itself was beautifully maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The location was also perfect, making it easy to explore the area while still enjoying a peaceful place to unwind.

What truly stood out was the exceptional customer service. Every interaction with the staff was warm and professional, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will absolutely be back. We highly recommend the Gillette to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable experience!

Room was clean. Very outdated. They are working on updating the rest of the rooms according to the front desk staff. The pictures shown are mostly of the new rooms and you have to scroll very far down in the gallery to see what the standard room will look like. People were smoking cigarettes outside our door which made our room smell like smoke at times. I booked this because of the location. I wanted to be within walking distance from downtown. I stayed during a holiday weekend (4th of July). Pool was clean. Lots of chairs and tables with nice umbrellas. Overall, it’s fine and you get what you pay for.

It is an older hotel, however our room had been renovated and was very clean. The people that work there are their greatest assets. We were in town for the Bootleggers tournament and I lost my room card. They replaced it without any issues. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I booked this hotel because of its close proximity to the Gatlinburg Convention Center. We will stay there again.

The staff were friendly and it was pretty clean. They had a pretty small fridge in the room that could keep very few things. The bathroom was very tiny. The room was fairly clean. Kept finding long black hairs everywhere. It was really hot in the room even when the air was turned to the lowest setting. I would definitely bring my own drinks and snacks while staying here because the vending machine prices were outrageous but over all it was an okay place to stay for a couple nights. The room we stayed in wasn’t newly renovated and everything was out dated. The lights were very dim in the room too.

Looking at the price per night compared to other places in Gatlinburg, the room was very nice. It was clean and appropriately appointed. The reason I would give 3 stars and say it was ok is both nights we stayed at 3:30 in the morning the dumpster outside was emptied. The outside sounds were loud it felt as if the door was wide open. The last morning I woke up to what seemed like very loud conversation right outside my door. Turned out to be 6 people in the middle of the parking lot and we were on the second floor. Quality for the price was excellent. Just wished for better sound insulation so I was able to sleep better.

It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at such a wonderful place that I wanted to write a review. We usually stay at the large chains, which has really become miserable anymore. They don’t make up the room. The desk is rude, blah blah blah.
Not only were we greeted with respect by a very nice lady. We had just come to inquire about a couple things and we were very very early and she just went ahead and checked us in the room was very clean.
Not only was the place very nice. They actually made up the bed every day, which is not something that has happened since Covid.
If we ever return to Gatlinburg will absolutely stay at the Gillette. I give it 100 stars if I could.

The Gillette Motel is a wonderful place to stay, we stayed in room 102 - ground floor, very nice renovated room, at no fault of the motel, the garbage people come to collect the rubbish and the large dumpster is just right outside of the room. They collect at 4:30, every morning. Parking is free and very easy, as you can park right in front of your room if you are ground level. Location is wonderful as it is just a block from the main street. The staff is very friendly, while no breakfast is available, food options are within walkable distances. The fire dept. is right behind the hotel, but no worries, they don't hit the sirens until they reach the street. Very safe location. Rooms have a fridge and microwave.

Our stay at the Gillete was very pleasant. The room was clean, parking was easy and secure. Compared to other places, check-in was earlier than we thought and check out was later than most, so the stay is ample for the price. It is only a block or so away from the main street and attractions in Gatlinburg. The only downsides is that the room was a bit out-dated, but very clean, and the wifi did not work for us, however, she made note of it and seemed like she was going to tend to it. My husband loved the bathroom heater after walking in the chilly spring air : )

The property is surrounded by others recently modernized and stands out as a bit dated. The staff were friendly and efficient. My room seemed one of the ones not recently updated. Still it was clean, comfortable and quiet to a degree that was impressive. I would say that it is overall homey and comfortable, as if your relative was expecting you and had cleaned it meticulously before you got there. My eye might be drawn to one of the more modern properties, but I doubt they would be more comfortable.

Location was amazing and excellent parking. The room wasn’t that clean and we had to have them come clean it again, the floor was really dirty and had hair all over the place. Once that all got taken care of we liked the place. No extras at all (gym, breakfast or good WiFi) if that’s important to you stay at another place. But for a quick weekend getaway it gets the good done.
