If your going to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, stay in Pigeon Forge, the drive is not that far and your not stacked on top of one another like in Gatlinburg, even though Gatlinburg is a beautiful city, very little parking unless you pay for it in private parking areas, there are some owned by the city but first come first serve.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good, especially the biscuits and gravy. The overall property was just OK. We stayed in the Hilltop Building, and it is definitely showing signs of age. Our door was loose, but it did lock, so that was a plus. However, the room doors on our floor (3) all need a fresh coat of paint. We had a corner room with a bigger balcony, but there were exposed wires in the ceiling. That needs to be fixed. There were also some spots in the room where the walls needed repair. We did not use the pool, so have no opinion on that.

First of all, We booked online and made a deposit. Which left me paying 271. When we arrived they charged my husband card for 369.58. I asked why that much they guy at the front desk said I would have to wait until the morning to speak to the manager. So we go to our room. And it was nasty.. So nasty I went to Walgreens and bought bathroom cleaner and disinfectant ways. The more I found the room dirty the madder I got..So I told my husband if there gonna charge you almost 400 dollars for a room then I want a clean room. So we went back down and it was a different guy. I told him I wasn't taking it out on him but I didn't think it was right. So he moved us to jacuzzi room.. well it was even worse so I cleaned it got on my hands and knees used one the of bathroom towels you lay on the ground and the trowel was completely black.. I told my husband I wouldn't say anything else about. Because well hell at this point I've cleaned two rooms myself.. Well the next morning housekeeping knocked on our door. And asked if we're checking out today I said no we check out Sunday.. So I go make us breakfast. We took it back to our room. When we heard a knock at the door again so I open it's the manager he said he didn't know why they moved us to this room but we couldn't stay in this room for the weekend because it was booked. Now I'm really pissed.. I handed the manager a bag he didn't care that that room was dirty as well they moved us to another room it wasn't as bad . Would not recommend

The price is great for the location compared to others in the area. The staff were great. We got put in the upper building so we couldn’t see the creek. It’s an old place so there is a musky smell. Our room itself was decent except the shower head wouldn’t fully engage. Looks can be deceiving, but the actual room was fine. The best part was getting to see the bear in the parking lot. It’s a great location to be able to stay and walk the strip. We would stay again.

Loved my balcony room overlooking the creek..the sound of the creek was relaxing... Room was clean...staff was nice and did anything I ask for.. there was a bear roaming around the property..but seemed to not bother anyone... Continental breakfast was the best I have ever seen in a hotel. Fresh and very plentiful. I think I have found a place that every year when I go to the Smoky mountains I will be staying at quality creekside in Gatlinburg. Also convenient for just walking out your room not having to worry about paying for parking and walk downtown I highly suggest this hotel if you're looking for a place like this

We booked a king room. I requested a room overlooking the creek and Mitch was able to accommodate. The breakfast was good. The location was good. The bed linens and towels were stained but clean. You could tell they had been washed. We check the mattress thoroughly before settling in to avoid any issues. We didn't find any bugs but, the mattress cover has been flipped over because of what looked like a cigarette burn on it. The mattress itself had something stuck on one corner. The front desk guy came up and vacuumed it off. The room looked like they tried updating but quit half way through. The transition from main area to bathroom catches all the dirt and hasn't been cleaned out. The floor in the room looked like it was given a once-over and not a second thought. The shower drained extremely slow and don't want to know how long it has been since those traps were cleaned. Maybe we just got a bad room, but definitely not a good first impression. I asked about another room and was told the only ones available were double queens. Overall, made the best of it but probably won't be staying again.

The room was clean however if you are on the 2nd floor, be prepared for a light being on in your window all night. Even though there are curtains, you can still see the lights around them. The patio chairs need to be replaced as there are missing parts to the ones that were on our balcony. The hotel could definitely use a refresh. Our hotel phone and some of the outlets didn’t work, but we made do.

If you’re just looking for a clean bed to lay your head on, then this is the perfect place.

.For the most part , the staff was friendly and welcoming. However, the rooms had a strange smell, and the overall hotel felt very outdated, including the bathroom. Looking back, I probably should have spent a little more money on a better hotel, especially since everyone talks so much about the river experience.

One of the main reasons I decided not to stay the full three days was because of an uncomfortable experience in the lobby. My partner was sitting there waiting for me while I was getting dressed, and one of the female staff members asked him if he had a room there. After he said yes, she told him he needed to wait in the room because they were cleaning the lobby area. They had just finished serving breakfast, and honestly, I have never stayed at a hotel where guests were not allowed to sit in the lobby and wait. The interaction gave off a bad vibe and made us feel unwelcome, which played a big part in my decision to leave early and the smell

The internet provided with your stay is awful, lose signal all the time. Breakfast included was not great either, lukewarm food and if you aren't there right when it starts then you won't get anything because they don't refill it. Really the only thing going for this hotel is it's location, it is right in Gatlinburg on the strip. It's great for a walk to sightseeing and leaving your vehicle at the hotel. You get what you pay for. So my rating is based on the price. The hotel is close to everything which means you can walk to many places. The location is nice. The only bad things I can say is that this is a very used hotel and the wear and tear shows. The latch for the door was scrwed to the door molding and the molding was coming off the wall. My bed blanket had a stain so I went and got another blanket and that one had a stain too, so I just used the sheet. Staff is amazing and properly is well maintained. I want to stress that you get what you pay for so don’t book this thinking you getting a double tree by Hilton hotel room. It was suitable for the money. I can stay at this hotel but I can’t bring family and spouse to this place, they will not like me.

We were put in the oldest part of the hotel. The concrete wall of the building was seperated allowing the concrete walkway to crack and end of the building to sag.
I had difficulty understanding the attendant that booked us in. I did hear pool so I thought it would be a nice room. There are apparently nice rooms in the new area overlooking the small creek.
I had booked a large king room but was given a room with two queen beds. The room was outdated and in need of repairs. Front door stuck, it had one chest with 3 drawers, table and 2 chairs. It had a refrigerator that was leaking water. We kept a towel on the floor beside it. The microwave sat on the floor. It's been a long time since I've been in a room that was without a hair dryer.

The room was not what I would call clean. There was no sign of bedbugs or other critters, but it wasn't clean either. Beyond that, our biggest complaint was that that the single elevator was out of order. In my room there were 2 people over 80 and that are fall risks, and stairs are not fun. Luckly we were gone most of the day and didn't need to use them other than once down and once up.

I understand that there are time when systems go down, but, when something like that goes down, we be notified so that other arrangements can be make.

Don't plan on using them again.

The location was great for downtown walkability. It’s also close to the entrance of the park. The price was reasonable for what you get. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They advertised elevators, but neither of them worked. The bathroom faucet dripped all night and the TV didn’t work. I requested service twice, but no one ever came. The deadbolt had been removed from the door. Being a senior citizen it was difficult dragging my luggage up 4 flights of stairs to get to my room. The building is aging and falling into disrepair, but for $55.00/night I got what I paid for.

When we drove in at just after 2 am, the hotel front desk seemed unorganized, and that the technology was all shut down.

I was told by the desk attendant that none of the elevators work, like it was no big deal, that some door handles open down, and that some open up, and that they have no idea which each room was. Also, to watch out for Bears. I get that we are in the Smoky Mountains, but the rest of my less than 7 hours on property should be a warning to not stay there, for even that long.

I was booked in a room, that wasn't even on the main property, and I was given a gray and white map, with very vague instructions on how to find the building, that was about 3 blocks, and about 300 ft. up the mountain, good thing I have AWD, but there is no way a Sedan would have made it up that incline.

I then tell my kid to grab her purse, our food, and anything that needs to be charged overnight, and I do the same. We go to make our way to the door, and there isn't 1, but 2 Bears in opposite directions. I get that this isn't the properties fault, but their poor response was. We retreated to the car, and locked the doors.

I called the front desk, no answer. I called again, NO Answer. After calling the TN hotline, I called the desk a 3rd time, and I was told to RUN. That is how you get people and bears hurt.

After finally getting to the building, the door didn't work correctly, 3 tries to get in. Lobby was filthy, our door took 3 tries, & the room wasn't clean or safe.

The property is located in a great spot. The staff were friendly. However, the property is in bad need of repair. They have remodeled some of the rooms, but the exterior is very bad. Our room was looked ok on the inside. There were some problems but the main issue was the mildew smell in 119. I woke up with my head all plugged up. Also, there were a lot of folks around the pool smoking weed. I dont care what people do, but find the odor repugnant. They also charge a pet fee that is not disclosed on expedia.

Ive noticed that many hotels in Gatlinburg seem to run at a different standard. Perhaps because many of them were built in the 50's with lots of deferred maintenance. So comparatively, its slightly below average. If this were in a resort area or in a major city, the condition would be considered poor.

I don’t usually write negative reviews. But this hotel is that poor. I wouldn’t have wrote this if I hadn’t had 6 visits to the front desk whilst working an event over the weekend. The hotel section we stayed at is up 100 yards of hill. From the first trip to our room we had to go up and down twice because cards didn’t work. The front staff were unaffected by our troubles and offered no condolences. Just that “it” happens. Mind you the elevator broke the 1st day and no date of return. The rooms are moldy and outdated. Water stains on the ceilings and walls. It’s a no smoking venue yet you’re contactable bombarded walking in. Every day our doors on multiple rooms stopped working. You may think like I did that this is a steal and worth the extra dollars off. But don’t, spend the extra on something you can enjoy fully without such hardship

The room was clean, but the property was not. Bears hang out at this hotel after dark and are aggressive, won't leave you alone. 2 bears confronted us, made us feel unsafe, and we will try to follow inside buildings. I have been to this hotel 3 times in the past and usually enjoy my stay, not this time. The property is way more run-down than I have seen. The elevator didn't work, so I had to climb the hill where the bears would come from every night.

Room smells of cigarettes, wall plug sparked , caused power to go out in room , nearly an hour before fixed , elevator to the thru way bridge non operational, had to walk up and down a very steep hill on side of mountain. Front desk staff not helpful at all, left a day early . Now fighting for a refund.

Always be aware photos of any place you are considering could be as old as when the property was established. Or maybe even AI enhanced. Quality Inns have been a staple my entire life and Im nearly 50, so I may have choose this place on nostalgia and the pics of the Inn nestled in between the mountain and creekbed were very appealing. Check-Inn was smooth and easy, the attendant told us elevator location by the coke machines and we were on 1st floor. When approached elevator and vending, both were tagged inoperable. It was then I thought that was probably why nightly rates were fair because we would have to tote our things up the stairs but then we spotted another coke machine and elevator which did function. We stepped off and our room was in front of us, door jammed, it was found to be off the bottom hinge. We didn't report until the am at checkout and ironically ours wasn't the only door reported to be off the hinge that morning. Posted all over the property were dont feed bear signs, the morning of checkout heading towards stairwell there sat a big black bear blocking the stairwell, so I did an about face and promptly proceeded to the elevator for lobby. Then I decided that maybe it had been the bear who forced door off hinge because it had been done from outside. I have a thrill of a story by lodging here but overall the property was negleted. And the elevator to Hillside Inn did not have emergency stairs, shady biz. <100$ dont expect anything fancy, just mo

Loved location . Great restaurants, activities, and Convention Center: all within easy walk. Excellent parking. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Otherwise, very poorly maintained. Soap dispensers empty, bathroom exhaust fan hanging by wires, tv remote does not work.

Absolutely convenient, pretty clean room, the floor was a little ‘slimy’ like the mop they used wasn’t necessarily clean water. Besides that, no complaints! Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel room and breakfast area was dirty. However staff was nice and helpful with an issue we were having. If you stay here bring body wash and hand soap bc they don’t provide them but the do provide shampoo, conditioner and lotion

I really liked this hotel. We were right in downtown Gatlinburg and could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The staff is very nice and helpful. Check in and check out was so easy and efficient. Will stay here again. We don’t have animals but it is very pet friendly.

The floors were filthy. The bottom of our socks were completely black after just 30 minutes. There were no lightbulbs in any of the light fixtures, other than the bathroom when we arrived. Could not even make a waffle because the batter was too watery. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was super thin and tasted like salt water. You literally had to slam the door to get it to shut. When we arrived, the door to the balcony was not even closed. The light fixture on the wall was hanging from the wall.
