I don’t usually write negative reviews. But this hotel is that poor. I wouldn’t have wrote this if I hadn’t had 6 visits to the front desk whilst working an event over the weekend. The hotel section we stayed at is up 100 yards of hill. From the first trip to our room we had to go up and down twice because cards didn’t work. The front staff were unaffected by our troubles and offered no condolences. Just that “it” happens. Mind you the elevator broke the 1st day and no date of return. The rooms are moldy and outdated. Water stains on the ceilings and walls. It’s a no smoking venue yet you’re contactable bombarded walking in. Every day our doors on multiple rooms stopped working. You may think like I did that this is a steal and worth the extra dollars off. But don’t, spend the extra on something you can enjoy fully without such hardship

The room was clean, but the property was not. Bears hang out at this hotel after dark and are aggressive, won't leave you alone. 2 bears confronted us, made us feel unsafe, and we will try to follow inside buildings. I have been to this hotel 3 times in the past and usually enjoy my stay, not this time. The property is way more run-down than I have seen. The elevator didn't work, so I had to climb the hill where the bears would come from every night.

Room smells of cigarettes, wall plug sparked , caused power to go out in room , nearly an hour before fixed , elevator to the thru way bridge non operational, had to walk up and down a very steep hill on side of mountain. Front desk staff not helpful at all, left a day early . Now fighting for a refund.

Always be aware photos of any place you are considering could be as old as when the property was established. Or maybe even AI enhanced. Quality Inns have been a staple my entire life and Im nearly 50, so I may have choose this place on nostalgia and the pics of the Inn nestled in between the mountain and creekbed were very appealing. Check-Inn was smooth and easy, the attendant told us elevator location by the coke machines and we were on 1st floor. When approached elevator and vending, both were tagged inoperable. It was then I thought that was probably why nightly rates were fair because we would have to tote our things up the stairs but then we spotted another coke machine and elevator which did function. We stepped off and our room was in front of us, door jammed, it was found to be off the bottom hinge. We didn't report until the am at checkout and ironically ours wasn't the only door reported to be off the hinge that morning. Posted all over the property were dont feed bear signs, the morning of checkout heading towards stairwell there sat a big black bear blocking the stairwell, so I did an about face and promptly proceeded to the elevator for lobby. Then I decided that maybe it had been the bear who forced door off hinge because it had been done from outside. I have a thrill of a story by lodging here but overall the property was negleted. Loved location . Great restaurants, activities, and Convention Center: all within easy walk. Excellent parking. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Otherwise, very poorly maintained. Soap dispensers empty, bathroom exhaust fan hanging by wires, tv remote does not work.

I really liked this hotel. We were right in downtown Gatlinburg and could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The staff is very nice and helpful. Check in and check out was so easy and efficient. Will stay here again. We don’t have animals but it is very pet friendly.

The floors were filthy. The bottom of our socks were completely black after just 30 minutes. There were no lightbulbs in any of the light fixtures, other than the bathroom when we arrived. Could not even make a waffle because the batter was too watery. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was super thin and tasted like salt water. You literally had to slam the door to get it to shut. When we arrived, the door to the balcony was not even closed. The light fixture on the wall was hanging from the wall.

This place is horrible, almost everything didn’t work. Elevator was out, hallway airflow was stagnant, flooring was coming up. This place was horrible. NEEDS MAJOR MAINTENANCE, and you can tell that they don’t invest in regular maintenance just bandaid the problems. I’m not a very critical person but this was awful. Morning staff lady was super nice. But the evening check in guy was blah and not friendly. There are so many better options near by that I’d stay at rather than this place. I just was trying somewhere new, ughhhh!!!! Disgusting and disappointing!!!!!

It’s a decent hotel but quite run down. Needs some touch ups and fixing some things. The rooms are quaint with balconies and fireplaces. The creek is pretty. The breakfast was great. I was comfortable enough but would like to see some improvements because it’s a good location

We reserved our room and paid for premium with the Jacuzzi almost a month in advance and opened the door to two full beds and no Jacuzzi. We were told they didn't have anymore available so we would have to contact the prop owner which we are doing. The room was also not cleaned very well, there was a lollipop in the fridge, dirt all over the floor and stuff in the drawer. We couldn't walk without shoes in our room because our feet would be black within minutes. The breakfast was good, we did really enjoy having a breakfast buffet included and the staff was nice. The property itself wasn't bad, it was pretty clean or appeared to be.

The website didn't clearly explain the positioning of the rooms. The desk clerk was extremely rude and assumed that we should know that you have to cross the creek, ride the elevator and circle around the building to get in. Once in the room the outside door to the balcony didn't close properly and we were grateful it wasn't raining. The amenities and access to the rooms had no consideration for older guests or handicapped persons. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone

Very Disappointed right at the beginning. When booking the room, you pick choose a room. So you scroll look at the room, you see a spa tub. You read where it says spa/soaking tub 1 room left. So we grabbed it. I even tried chatting with someone to see if that was the correct room. It sends me a pic of room. You see a spa tub in the pic. So when we check in find out. We did NOT get a spa room. :( So I say everything happens for a reason. Welp still wondering. The room was dirty, dead bug above the door. Old dirty cobwebs. The lamp shades had brown on them. The bed dust ruffle still had the last ppl who stayed snack crumbs. We brought back leftovers that night and open the fridge and FROZEN solid. So there went that. Then the 2nd night the toilet wouldn't flush and needed a plunger. Called front desk 8xs no answer. Also messaged them. My husband drove down to the office where he found a sign that said \"Be back shorty sorry for the inconvenience\". So he drove 20 minutes to find a plunger and 20 something mins back. In that 40 mins i had not received any messages from the front. By time my hsuband got back he was there and got a plunger. Yet still never received a message. This stay was just Disappointing. It was a weekend gettaway for my Bday.. So i cant really recommend them to anyone.

This pace is old and lots of broken items. We had to walk a large distance to the bkfst room. 1/4 MI because the elevator was broken. The bathroom light flashed like a strobe when you turned it on. So live with rhe strobe or use it in the dark. Patios need lots of cleanup as do the grounds.

Just don't. This place has run down so much. We stayed here for nostalgia reasons but never again. Everything is so run down. Water stains all over the room. Piece of metal sticking up near fireplace causing a trip hazard. Fireplace didn't work. Elevators don't work. Just demolish it.

Without an elevator working to go up to the rooms on the top of the hill it makes it difficult and no one wants to climb that steep Hill after walking up and down the parkway maybe if the elevator was working it might have been a more enjoyable stay on the top of the hill we got moved to below on the ground level which was much better but still elevator doesn't work to get to the second floor and all rooms start one floor up to begin with so technically three flights of stairs to a second floor room

The national park was probably 15 or 20 minutes out depending on which area of the park you’d want to explore. My biggest issue with this property was the cold floors that was due to the doors not sealing properly , you could feel the cold draft

When I was in high school in the 70s, I stayed here. It was \"nice\" then. I don't think it has been updated since, except for the bathroom sink. Very sad condition overall. The photos are not giving showing the whole picture. Very cheesey.

We were send to another location up the hill. The hotel had really bad smell in the hallways like old garbage. We were offered “upgrade” with the view of downtown but we could not see anything from our balcony so the “upgrade” was a joke. I would choose another option in the future. We travelled with our dog so needed dog friendly hotel at short notice. The night was prepaid but I spent forver at the truth desk since the clerk did not know how to use the credit card machine to charge me the dog fees and she was texting her manager for instructions.

First room, phone didn't work. No remote for tv, when we got one it didn't work. Toilet was leaking all over the floor. Had to go to a new room. Key card wouldn't open door to get into hotel. Luckily staff personnel was there and let us in. Someone was supposed to bring us a new key card. Waited an hour, never showed. We had to go to the office to get it. Didn’t like climbing the steep hill where our room was. We like to leave the car parked and walk the town. The climb up was incredibly steep. We are 69 and 70 years old, good shape but it kicked our butt. Would we stay there again, no.

Right in the heart of Gatlinburg you don't have to pay for parking! The room was clean and nice but it desperately needs updated. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with our toilet it backed up and they moved us to a new room that was a little bigger and nicer than what we originally in and we stayed in it for the remainder of our stay at no additional charge. I would stay there again.

Some of the reviews had me worried but honestly for the price we paid I was fairly impressed. It was my husband my 4 year old and 2 year old and I who all stayed and I didn’t feel unsafe. It wasn’t really dirty. There was a little weird smell when we came in but nothing major it might have just been the heat cuz it was just turned on. Breakfast was good.

DIRTY!! DUMP!! My kids couldn’t even sit in the floor to play with out getting BLACK all over their clothes. Had to wash our feet off from walking inside the room so we could get in the bed. Floors were nasty!! The shower had mold and didn’t drain well, popcorn ceiling coming off. Door wasn’t sealed good. Pets were allowed and I should have read that detail better. Dogs barked as we walked by a room and scared. DONT DO IT!

The 1st room wasn't as advertised which wouldn't have been a big deal but the door basically didn't work to get in the 1st time it took a few minutes but I thought it was just a newly programmed key card so we got in loaded out stuff into the room left to grab sometime from the store came back and it took even more tries to get into the room like close to 5 minutes the person I was with stayed in the room then in the cold i walked to the office. The lady at the front desk seemed annoyed but gave me new key cards I went back to the room and it still had the same problem went back to the front desk told her she said just pull up and not down it will work fine. I then recorded myself trying to get into the room and showed that up or down didnt matter the door didn't want to open at that point she said well I guess I'll have to change you room she then changed us to a room that was like the one that was advertised but then we woke up to no hot water at all. The shower had cold water, the hot tub, and both sinks all ice cold water. When we checked out the guy at the desk asked how was the stay and I told him all of this and he seemed shocked wrote sometime down in a notebook and said \"well sorry about that\"

The room was very unclean! when we told them the room needed cleaning they said no one could clean it and we had to take a broom and sweep it ourselves. The shower leaked and water ran into the floor, there was no soap nor a place to place any soap in the shower and The bath tissue holder was broken off the wall.

The breakfast was undesirable because items were stale and old.

Also. We had to pay extra fee for pets that was not disclosed online when I booked and paid.

We will definitely not be returning there to stay again

We had a great stay overall! The room was clean and well kept. The Expedia description wasn’t totally accurate, but the front desk handled it so well. She quickly moved us to the room we originally thought we booked and made the whole situation easy and stress-free.

The “mountain view” wasn’t much of a view, but honestly, it’s Tennessee and we weren’t too worried about it. We ended up in a jacuzzi room and were really happy with it!

Toiletries and towels were provided and clean, and everything felt stocked and ready for us. The staff was over-the-top friendly and super accommodating the entire time. We really appreciated how helpful everyone was.

Would definitely stay again!

Our annual stay for the ETSBOA was everything we needed it to be. We always choose this comfy hotel close to EVERYTHING. With a great breakfast and clean safe rooms. Plus free parking as a bonus to guests. Housekeeping kept us stocked with clean towels. And with teenagers that’s an extra bonus for me.

Updating and repairs would be a good start. I took pictures but for some reason it won’t let me attach them. Someone, punched a hole in the bathroom door which has not been repaired. The tile was broke off in two places around the jacuzzi in the bedroom with very sharp edges. It looked like mold or dark water spots around the top edge of ceiling over the shower. Dust under the bathroom sink. Our door to our balcony was broke and the frame/trim was loose. The door did not shut properly which allowed extreme cold air coming through. Needless, to say you get what you pay for. We won’t be back.

The location was great within walking distance of everything. The showed a newly remodeled room in the picture and I read over carefully before booking. Our hotel room was not newly remodeled. We had a sink outside the bathroom it didn't work had water shut off to it. All rooms were supposed to be non smoking however you could smell cheech and chong coming through the walls. We had booked for a week during this week we only came in late at night. Expecting our sheets to be changed ect. We even pulled sheets off the beds one morning before we left and threw them in the floor with towels our house keeper dug threw the dirty sheets on the floor got the towels out but, left the sheets laying there. We came in after midnight, I walked downstairs to get fresh linings and couldn't get anyone to the door of the office. They never took the trash out the whole time we were there, we done that. The evaluator were out of order the whole time we were there. We didn't find out until we had checked in, it was so late at check-in, when we found out the evaluator was not working, I went back to the office and once again nobody was there. Having to walk three flights of stairs caring all of our luggage three people for a week was exhausting. My husband has heart problems he can walk but, gets very out of breath very fast. When we checked out two days early I threw what luggage I could throw over the balcony onto our truck because, of the none working evaluator.

The toilet bowl moved when you sat on it there was no toilet paper holder we had to put the toilet paper on the floor the elevators were not working and the first room they put us in had mold in it

Dirty room ,dog pee on ramp all week ,no table to put food on to eat ,shower dirty when we arrived never enough towels,no place to put trash.

Old and unkempt. The 2 elevaters in our building were out of order with no projected time of repair. There was no information about this when we booked. We had to lug our stuff up 4 flights of stairs. The room was very neglected. Carpet torn up around the fireplace, light fixtures nasty, dropped something behind nightstand and it was all sorts of nasty behind there and the beds. The location and comfortable beds wete the only positive.

Door didn't have weather stripping so the wind was blowing in the door bathroom going into the bathroom it was messed up my room was 243 it was on the end two people couldn't sit on the balcony just need a lot of updates

Room had no place to hang clothes. No wash cloths. Was reasonable. Bed squeaked every time you moved. Per Expedia my total cost was $150. Was charged $172.97.
