We had no hand soap for the bathroom. There was no bath gel for the shower. The light bulbs were burned out. We asked for clean towels the evening of our stay and were given none. We asked for soap and gel when we got in and received none. We asked for towels again the morning of our checkout and received none. When I confronted the person at the front desk, she said it was our fault for not coming to the front desk for a 3rd time. After speaking with the manager for several minutes, we received a $20 discount. Simply not acceptable for a hotel located in downtown Gatlinburg.

You get what you pay for. Really no place for your dog to use the bathroom. There is a little 4x4 patch of dirt/grass that was gross. Our shower didn't drain. Beds were fine. You are right on the strip, which is awesome.

Never got in hot tub. The room was ok, but the floors were filthy. My feet were black after just walking to restroom. I put I was bringing a small dog, but they said it was on reservation, so they charged me and extra $50 fee. I never left my pup alone in the room which we were barely in the room. Plus switched us to a different room that we had reserved.

First day handed lady my card for check in, she charged card on file instead. Went to room to find no hot water, reported it and they seemed surprised but would check it in the morning, never did. Looked at reviews and seen this had been going on for a year, didn’t look at reviews before because had stayed there in past with no problems. Had to beg for towels every day. Don’t recommend staying. Only good thing was location

We have stayed at this hotel for several years, but unfortunately this was our worst experience yet. Our room had a strong marijuana odor, which made it very unpleasant. The breakfast area was cluttered and dirty, and it did not appear to be well maintained. We have always enjoyed staying here in the past, which made this visit especially disappointing. We hope improvements are made because we have had much better experiences during previous stays.

The location is great!! The pool is nice, but our room you could tell at one point had been updated but the updates were falling apart. Wall trim was falling off and etc. Shower was cold and low pressure.. the elevator needed updated. But it was clean, easy to stay one night. And WiFi was good.

Don’t stay at The Wander hotel in Gatlinburg Tn. Our room flooded in the wee hours and the owner did not even want to acknowledge it. All our clothes and bags were soaked. After having to call the police the Owner said he would give us the weekend free. There would be NO CHARGE. He said this in front of the policeman. He gave us a copy of our receipt that showed there was no charge for the weekend because of water damage. Guess what? The next day on our bank statement there was a charge from the motel for the full amount of the weekend of and another random charge. I had to go to the bank and file a dispute!! So far the amount was put back into our account but the other is still pending. Do not go there. They are crooks!!!

Room only had two sets of towels and when I called to request, they said I had to go to the front to retrieve them myself. There is a clear THEFT RING IN THIS HOTEL. My family had things stolen as well as another couple staying just 2 rooms down from us, and another couple staying here at the same time as us had a strange \"maintenance man\" walk in on them while they slept at 3:30 in the morning. This was all in the 3 day period my family stayed here and it was of course the 3 days before July 4th when the hotel knew they would be busiest. The couple staying 2 rooms down from us that had things stolen from them too, caught the man and found thier stolen things in his golf cart under a towel after he said he didn't know what they were talking about. We gave them a chance to return our things and they never did. When we confronted the front desk about this matter, they told us that the manager was \"on vacation\" BUT as soon as the Gatlinburg police showed up to our room, the manager showed up suddenly back from his \"vacation\". We know who did it but conveniently our room was the ONLY room the security cameras were turned away from at the time. Even though, when we arrived we clearly looked to make sure our vehicle and room WAS INFACT in the line of view of the security camera, so they clearly moved it before stealing anything. I have MUCH more to say but can only put so many words in my review. This hotel also had huge cocroach's in the indoor pool area and mold in random areas of the rooms.

I mistakenly booked this hotel because initially it said it was a Wyndam by Marriott. That it is not. Friendly staff (some non-English speaking) but minimal amenities. Pool tiny, no hot water, bathtub/shower filthy and wallpaper peeling off..some stapled to the wall. WOULD NEVER GO BACK

When we arrived to the hotel, the staff told us they didn’t have any rooms that we booked available, so they offered to upgrade our stay for free. They called the next day to tell us we had to move rooms because someone had booked the suite they gave us. When we said we were not at the hotel, they were very rude and told me they would charge me for the upgraded room. After arguing they agreed to let us stay in the upgraded room. However, they continued to pester us our entire stay about moving rooms, we had staff show up to knock on our door at 9am, constant calls, and when I finally gave up and told them to switch the room, they said it was too late and were very rude about the entire situation. Would not recommend this stay to anyone. The only good part is the parking, and even then it’s impossible to find a spot because random people park in the lot every day.

I booked a four-night stay but only managed to stay for three nights. The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from the attractions. The breakfast was average, but the first room I was given was a complete disaster. I found cleaning issues, a terrible TV signal, and even worse Wi-Fi inside the room. To make matters worse, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was designed to pull air out and blow heat inside, which was uncomfortable.

Fortunately, I received an upgrade to the newest building, which was much cleaner, larger, and had a better view. However, after just one night, I noticed a small roach in the bathroom. We decided to check out the next day for that reason.

Overall, the hotel is in a great location and the staff is friendly. However, the facilities need a lot of attention and improvement.

This hotel was what we expected for the price. The location was great, being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go was the best part. Check in was easy. The room was mostly clean, the room we stayed in had the jetted tub in the room and it did not look clean, I wouldn’t have trusted using it. The room could use some updates such as the carpet which had stains everywhere, not just one but like the whole floor. The air conditioning unit seemed moldy, my husband had a scratchy throat after staying in the room. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast but was lacking, no water available at breakfast, barely any coffee creamer. We did not use the outdoor pool, but we did see other people using it and it looked clean. Overall, it was what we expected for the price.

I had one problem with this hotel, otherwise the location, cleanliness and value were excellent. We left our room at 11:00 am. We returned at 9:30 P.M. and our room was unlocked and the door was proped wide open and the room was not serviced. Housekeeping started to clean our room but didn't do the job and moved on. I can handle the room not being serviced but the fact they left my families property exposed for 10 1/2 hours was not acceptable. When I reported this to the Assistant Manager the next morning, she seemed not very concerned and offered nothing to correct the mistake.

Parking at this hotel is absolutely horrendous. It’s ok in the early hours but if you go out for the evening don’t expect to have a parking space when you return. Breakfast was so-so. Nothing to brag about. Water pressure in the shower was next to nothing. Worst shower ever. Lightning by the vanity is very low. Only plus is the the location.

It was close to everything I needed however, the water rarely got hot. Sometimes there would not be hot water.. when we were heating up our food in the microwave the TV and the refrigerator turned off. We had to flip a switch and then unplugged the TV in the refrigerator in order to use the microwave. Also, the Wi-Fi was horrible. Even the TV would rarely get service.

About the only bad thing is 2am thumping from vehicles going down main roads waking people up, but that’s not the hotel’s fault but law enforcement needs to take care of that , maybe your hotel and others in the area could say something to law enforcement to take care of this problem. Otherwise great time, staff were awesome, we will be back thanks.

Curtain wasn’t big enough to cover entire window and we were on ground floor. Lights were light spotlights coming into the room all night. People were singing and having a drunken party 2 doors down in the parking lot. Tried calling the office for 45 minutes. Phone would ring and ring then someone would pick up and then hang up immediately. Floor in room was so dirty just walking across floor once my feet were actually black. So no one ever cleans the floor. We have stayed here many times in the past but this time was a horrible experience. Would have walked up to office while people were having a party at 11:30pm but didn’t want them to know who complained because there was already one fight between them and another guy walking past. Or the might of even damaged my car to retaliate.

Chose this hotel based on location and prior reviews. Location is great- close to everything and price was wonderful. Our room was ok- indoor/outdoor carpet was half way put down- ac worked great, but the biggest disappointment was breakfast- all prior reviews talked about a great breakfast and thats not the case- scrambled eggs, pancakes, hard boiled eggs (yuck) then the usual- cereal, yogurt, and bread. Would I stay there again? Probably because the location and they are pet friendly. I was just hoping for some biscuits and gravy and sausage that was mentioned in prior reviews.

Absolutely fantastic location if you're spending time at the convention center. It's literally right across the street. That alone saves you $20 a day in parking somewhere else. The only issue was the tv. For whatever reason the tv makes you log in with your own roku account. Luckily I bring my own firestick when I travel so I just used that, but this would definately be an issue for most people.

We booked a King bed room a year in advance. They put us in “the loft” which was a very small room and very small bathroom. The king bed took up most of the room. We did not have sheer curtains so, when we opened the curtains everyone walking toward our room could see entire room. We had problems with the TV. They had to send someone to reboot the tv. It still did not work. We would not recommend this Hoyel/Motel. Very outdated. We compromised the closeness to Convention Center for quality. Will not be staying here again!

This hotel is great for it's location, which is why my hunny and I decided to stay here praying it would be at least clean! Just to note a few things i'm hoping it is currently under renovations, as the hot tub was not in working condition, the outside pool area not very appealing, windows in the hotels/elevatos need cleaning, breakfast area needs to be kept up, as I went 1 day at 7am when breakfast is set to start and employees were just starting to set up and there was no sugar to be found for the coffee. Another time I advised lady in the front that the coffee was coming out watery and may need to be refilled she told me she would be right there as she sat on her phone at the front desk, about 5 min later she came to refill it with no rush or enthuasism to help the guest. The outside walkway between the buildings was missing a pieve of roof material, looks like storm damage (I took picture) The hotel most defitnely needs some upgrading and deep cleaning. I work in the industry and rent mansions to families, high end guests and so on and customer service & cleanliness are my number #1's, so this is the only reason i'm reviewing, our stay was not awful like I said location was perfect and for what we needed, ( a place to lay our heads for the weekend) it was ok but personally I hope they do some renovations before we come back to Gatlingburg in the fall. Space needle, Sky Park, Anakeesta, Body human, restaurants, wineries & moonshine tasting all in short walking distance.

The rooms were very clean. Smelled like bleach. Like that. The hot tub was out of commission that was a bummer. There is also not a lot of places to take your dog to the bathroom. They have a small grass pad but it had rained and was muddy so my boy had to go in the street. If you are going to be pet friendly at least have a place for them to use bathroom. Very close to everything. Loved we could walk and didnt have to pay for parking. Would stay here again.

The room itself appeared clean, however, in the bathroom, there were no stoppers in the sinks. The \"air conditioner \" appeared to be thrown together in order to have one. Definitely not one we thought could be up to current code. We could get just one station on the tv that wasn't blurry. The phone in our room did not work. Also, the room smelled of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was meager, out of different foods, trash piled in can, tables not clean. One morning was enough for us. Overall, for the cost of our stay with you, we think the property could have been much better.

Booked 2 nights and if my review was for our king size bed w/Jacuzzi room (Room 101, which has to be the oldest part of the building) I would say flat out 0 to 1. After looking over the room we had to go to the office and get a different room. Gap in front door letting in daylight and I'm sure contributes to the bug problem, fan in bathroom was covered in dust, Jacuzzi looked liked it's 20 years old and my husband did not want to use it, and for a lock on the sliding door it was a simple makeshift latch drilled into the concrete and my husband was not comfortable with it. However when we went to the front desk the girl was very kind and thankfully put us in the building all the way to the back with 2 queen beds and a private balcony that overlooks the mountains. That room was much better and would give it like a 3.5 stars. Not sure if there's a workout room, indoor pool area is old and not in the best condition, hot tub doesn't work. There is a regular pool right at the road in decent shape. Overall this hotel needs a lot more in updates and then they could charge a little more because it is right on the main road in Gatlinburg.

The room was clean, the area was good next to Gatlinburg, very well priced. However the King room with the jetted tub we stayed in, room 101. Has a very old small tv, no couch or other seating besides one chair. The tub was very nice my 1 year old thoroughly enjoyed it. The indoor pool was alright just hot inside no running AC in the pool room. The breakfast was small and didn’t have many options. Overall it was alright, if it’s all you can afford I would recommend it, but if you can spend more I’d recommend something with a better view/amenities. The staff was great!

Great place to stay. Great rates and staff. The beds in the room very comfortable. We had a suite and lots of room. The shower was awesome too. Great view from the balcony.

Pools were closed. Jets in tube didn't work. TV is way too small for the big room. Toilet too low to the ground. Water pressure was low. Beds were comfortable and the balcony was nice.

Room was nice. Breakfast was bad. Yogurt was all outdated, no sausage, nothing really there the first breakfast. Second day guy very slow to put stuff out. Not friendly

Room was nice, you can tell they've been updated. Aside from minor things, we enjoyed our stay. Disappointed with the \"heated indoor pool\" as it was absolutely not heated. The water was freezing. Spa wasn't working either. No drink machine on site anywhere.

The staff was pretty rude when we first arrived. The way the buildings are set up is confusing. The room was dark, bathroom wasn't clean and the shower head was clogged and the water dripped. The indoor pool was cloudy, hot tub didn't have water. The continental breakfast is served in a small room off the lobby. The coffee in the lobby is more water than coffee. The microwave was small and old, the mini fridge was also old. The TV was also small. Two of the three elevators shake. The covered walkway top had a large hole in it. Staff must all be new as they didn't know where anything is. There's zero drink vending machines only one ice machine. The beds were comfortable and the view was amazing. The staff did ensure that we had new towels daily.

This hotel was perfect for our family of 5. We did the jacuzzi suite with balcony. I will say it is very dated with no bells an whistles. As a family with young children, I didn't like that there was no fire spickets, inside of the room on the ceiling, there's just a note on the inside of the door for an exit route/strategy should there be a fire. I also didn't like in the 2nd bedroom there's no windows and the locks lock from the outside of that door. Kind of odd. In today's world, that makes me nervous. Won't stay there again because I felt that kinda creepy.
