It’s a great historic hotel. Brings you back to the days when times were simpler. Bathroom was updated and beds comfortable. Room was clean as well as the common areas. Breakfast was typical hotel continental and decent. Great location since it’s right in the middle of the parkway strip. Request a balcony in front of the hotel for street view if occasional noise from the street doesn’t bother you. Will definitely book here again.

Breakfast was very good. Coffee and tea always available. Rooms are tiny. Two bed rooms are full size, not queen. The floor slopes in hall and rooms. I was there with several people, in several rooms. All tiny. All sloping floors. It was like walking around in a fun house- drunk! Few outlets and lights in rooms. The worst part was the beds had feet that stuck out. Every family member in every room clobbered their feet or shins on these. I broke a toe, which put a damper on hiking. Staff are very friendly and location is excellent. Pool is small. The main thing they mean by \" historic\" is not modernized.

Awesome hotel! I have always wanted to stay here and finally did. I walked by this hotel hundreds of times as a kid and an adult. I should have tried it out a long time ago. Perfect location, clean and a step back in time. This is our new favorite place.

Beautiful rustic hotel right in downtown Gatlinburg. Staff are all so friendly and welcoming. Good parking available. And a great breakfast included.
We had a very comfortable room with a balcony and two rocking chairs. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower had good pressure and lots of heat.

Very nice. Spacious rooms and quiet. The staff was very friendly. Lots of hotel areas to relax. Loved the rocking chairs on the entrance porch and balconies…something that is missing from the Gatlinburg of today. When we 1st started coming, the town was full of rocking chairs.
The place is very historical.
We loved our stay.

This is an older historic property and the staff can be a bit snippy some time. The hotel is nice and quirky sent it has had many renovations. The breakfast is excellent and if you can get a balcony on the back, the views are great. We have stayed here many times over the years. It is very well located. My wife loves it because of the location.
Would stay again. It is a little pricey, but worth it.

This is an historical property - very good location with parking. If you come later in the day, the parking is down a hill from the entrance. Room is dated, bathroom is small, bed is comfortable. Breakfast is fine. Room was clean.

Double beds that weren’t level because the floor isn’t level( historic), so I slept with my head at the foot of the bed.
Room wasn’t cleaned 2x.

The staff is great. You couldn’t ask for a better location. It’s in the middle of everything. It’s great for parking. I enjoyed breakfast every morning. My only real complaint was that there was no hot water the last morning I was there. I mean literally none. They were working on it which means at times I had no water at all at times.

The hotel is in a perfect location right on the main drag and is creaky and quirky in all the right ways. The staff is welcoming and so very helpful. The breakfast is better than anything you can get in the surrounding restaurants. We were very pleased with our stay and will be back.

The staff were wonderful and so nice!! The rooms were clean but dated. The location is great if you want to be close to the shops and restaurants. However, it was very loud in my room. I could hear everything my neighbors were doing on either side and above me. I also got a room across from the hotel restrooms, which wasn't great. So the stay was just fine for me.

Although the hotel was clean and the staff was helpful, our room was uncomfortable. The floor was so uneven that the bed was tilting to one side. Also, the room only had 2 outlets, one behind the bed one near the door. Neither was convenient for charging phones or tablets.

The room was clean, however, we heard noises above us as if someone was dragging furniture across the floor. This occurred between 10pm - 11:30pm. I had to call the front desk regarding this. Also can hear people on the street yelling throughout the night as well as the ice machine which was located across the hallway from our room. The water in the shower did not drain well. It pooled at our feet while showering. The parking was available and accessible. The breakfast served was very good and provided variety. Staff was very friendly and polite. The inn also gave us a small muffin as a parting gift.

Breakfast was a buffet and there was a good selection and good food. Parking was easy to unload the car and park. Good location on the Gatlinburg strip to walk to restaurants and things to do.

We were very unhappy with our stay! My husband is disabled veteran and not knowing that this hotel be as old that it is they have no ADA rooms. We checked out a day earlier no way for him to take a shower! Lovely old hotel great location but not not for disabled people.

What a great stay in a historic nostalgic hotel. It’s not new and flashy, and for us, that was the appeal. It felt like a step back into history. You can even sip coffee fireside on the front porch while slowly rocking in one of many chairs overlooking the busy streets of Gatlinburg. We were fortunate enough to have our room balcony right next to the chair lift that takes you up the mountain to even more gorgeous views and sitting areas atop the mountain. An amazing suspension bridge available for you to walk across to a beautiful sitting area with available snacks and drinks. The hotel has a perfect location between all that is going on in the area. You have to option to do it all or do nothing at all. Either way, it is right at your fingertips. They have an expansive free breakfast with great selection and roomy dining area to start your day off right. We will absolutely stay here again the next time our travels take us to Gatlinburg.

Parking was sufficient, easy, and free. Room was clean and roomy with 2 arm chairs, a desk, and bench long enough to accommodate 2 carry-on luggage bags. Updated walk-in shower was very nice. Breakfast was extensive and the meat options varied each day (1st day sausage, 2nd day grilled ham, 3rd day bacon). The public rooms (breakfast area, break room with coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24 hours, and 2 lounging areas) were lovely. Our room had a balcony with 2 rocking chairs and the front porch of hotel is huge with rockers and an actively used fireplace. Hotel was also located perfectly for walking to local attractions, such as, the Sky Park and Gatlinburg Convention Center. We would definitely stay again.

This is a really old hotel and the wear shows it. Our room was not all bad but it was overall comfortable. The bed was not to our liking with small pillows. The main thing was the water pressure in our room was not good and made it hard to shower. The served breakfast every morning was great and cooked very well. The location is absolutely perfect in the heart of Gatlinburg. We even got to see a black bear closeup. He made a trip through the parking lot while we. We’re on the front porch. Would definitely give this hotel another try.

Gatlinburg Inn was such a wonderful place to stay. The Staff was even better.
Its a special place . ITs a Great Place to stay.

The only problems we had was not Related at all to the Inn. But to the state of gatlinburg is turning into. There was massive crowds. They block entrances and dont want to move. The crowds and streets and places to eat are fill with people Drunk. And the smell of drugs is everywhere. All over the mall at our time of stay. The bars near the inn was very loud some nights. Yelling screaming reving cars blowing horns. These woke us 3 or 4 times. Very late. Its very sad to see what the city of Gatlinburg is turning into. The streets was not family friendly .Thanks to everyone at the Inn done so well and their hard work. Was sad to hear Bunny Retired. The people there do a amazing job. And work very hard.

Besides the man that checked us in at 1am, everyone else was very friendly & helpful at the front desk. The maintenance man (we never requested maintenance but we saw him all over the property) was very friendly & showed us several videos & pics he had of bears.
Unfortunately we only ate breakfast downstairs on our last day. It was fantastic. I really wish we'd saved our money & eaten their each morning. The older lady who worked at buffet was very sweet & helpful.
We loved how close the hotel was to everything in Gatlinburg. It was convenient to bring bags & drop them at our room before going back out. I would definitely stay again. I do wish there was a door to get to the lower parking lot. That was the only real issue. To get to the front door (the ONLY door), you have to leave the lot, drive around the block & pull into the upper lot. Or, you can do what we did...take a cart down the hill & bring it back up.

As a historic property there are some limitations on space and amenities. Nevertheless, the property is located in the heart of Gatlinburg and quite convenient. What really makes it special is its warm and welcoming staff. This includes those who prepare an enjoyable breakfast buffet each morning.

Honestly I would love to give this property a five star rating because overall the staff were mostly friendly and welcoming and did go an extra mile in upgrading our room for us last minute (so grateful for this!), the proximity to the Parkway strip and all the entertainment and restaurants was extremely convenient, and the hot breakfast was very good, But the Inn is very dated, the rooms could’ve been cleaned more thoroughly, the sofa bed mattress is basically a layer of fabric over springs, and the water pressure was very low. Again, I wish I could give five stars, but for the reasons mentioned I gave a 4 overall.

This is the only hotel in Gatlinburg that we will stay. It’s close to literally everything; the staff is amazing and the ambiance is comforting. The free breakfast isn’t just cold cereal and bagels. They have hot eggs, fresh biscuits and a staff there to help you. We love the wood paneling in the rooms and the balcony. We will be back again and again
