The front desk staff is some of the most rudest people I have ever encountered in my life. They clearly hate tourist and will laugh at you in your face and when you ask them for stuff such a toilet paper, they sit there and stare at you like you have three heads. We stayed there for a week and had six people in our suit. So running out of things such as toilet paper and towels happened often.
The only and I mean only nice thing I have to say is the man who cooks breakfast was very kind and did an amazing job.
The property itself was disgusting. The rooms had a smell, they were dirty with cigarette ashes on the floor. Maybe blood smeared in the ceiling. Not sure how that would be a thing. Trash scattered around the property itself and the pool was foggy and probably shouldn’t have people swimming in it.
The suit was actually huge which was good. Other than that, I would never again stay here ever. This goes beyond outdated motels. This is plain dirty and insulting staff.

Over all, great location and convenient.
Upon arrival the swimming pool was green but they were working on it. By day 3 it started to clear up but unfortunately we weren't going to use it.
Decent shape for an older building, clean and everything worked. Ceiling was stained but the rest of the room looked recently renovated. Spider and cobwebs on the balcony but that didn't deter my children from sitting out there.
Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Hot breakfast every morning but other options also available (pancakes, cereal, muffins ect..)

We loved this location. It was walking distance to shops and restaurants and just outside the national park. The hotel seemed newly renovated. The rooms were nice and we loved the big clean shower. The balcony overlooking the river was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. The towels were too small.

The room was clean and the shower was awesome. Our room was next to the elevator and pretty noisy. The lady that checked us in and worked most of the nights we were there was rude and unhelpful. She just handed us our room keys. Didn’t tell us our room number or anything else. We asked if they had a vending machine and she said it was outside. We said the lights on it were not on and she smarted off and said “then I guess we don’t have one huh?” A large family was holding the elevator doors open and caused it to mess up. She was not at the desk and another lady had yelled for her but got no response. We had to walk 7 flights of stairs and when we called to report the elevator being down, she was hateful about that also. The remaining staff we encountered was much friendlier. But she seemed to be the one that was there when we needed anything and was useless.

They don't have enough parking compared to the amount of rooms they offer. They said that parking under the building was for customers that arrived with two vehicles, but didn't seem to be what happened. I spoke briefly to one customer that parked under there. The pool was nasty, green alge and not taken care of and when one other guest asked is the pool always like that the attendant at the front desk replied yes. Room was ok nothing special for the price. We reserved a balcony over the river and could see much but trees. Carpet seemed dirty so we always wore our slippers. The light on balcony was also out. Some vines and bushes took up half of two parking places. I been to Gatlinburg 3 times and would never stay here again. To much for a very basic room and lucky to have a parking space.

Location was at the end of the walking strip, so not too far and it was quiet. Breakfast was ok, not great. Pool did not look very clean and none of hotel guests used it during our stay. Our room did not have privacy curtains, only sheer. Maintenance was not up to par. We had a broken shower handle that would fall off and was not fixed during our stay. Otherwise, it was a decent place to stay. We saw several bears in the parking lot area so be careful not to leave any food items in car. Would most likely not stay there again unless other options were limited.

There were no issues with our 3 night stay. Check in was easy, but while waiting, it felt like they could have used another staff member for guest services. There is a single elevator which made it easy for luggage, but family of five took the stairs most of the time. The room doors are an outside entrance, however, there are no rooms on main level which helps with any concerns about security.

Rooms were very clean and breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with pancake machine, eggs, bacon or sausage, cereal, yogurt and bananas. Wish they had some other fresh fruit.

Overall, the property could use some upgrading due to wear. Doors locked, beds were comfortable. Shower didn’t drain very well in one of the rooms. I am fine with outdoors, but the hotel could find a way to remove and reduce the noticeable amount of spider webs.

Our room was huge and worked very well for our family. One downside was that our balcony was shared and the neighboring room liked to smoke pot which meant we could smell it in our room. The room had a damp smell to it which made me feel like the room was not clean, but visibly the room was in fact clean... accept for the pull out sofa bed. We would stay here again because the price and location were good, but not our favorite stay.

I stayed here for 3 nights with 1 adult and 3 children. Check in went very smooth and the location of this hotel is walkable to downtown Gatlinburg. Parking is included with your stay, so it is very convenient to both town and the National Park. Wi-Fi was decent. The pool is small, but swimmable and we saw a lot of people using it. There is daily breakfast which is OK - not great. Eggs, Sausage or bacon, toast options, cereal options, a pancake machine, juice, coffee, and oatmeal options. The room was more spacious that I thought it would be. However, it was musty - very musty - and the floor felt damp the entire stay. There is a pretty large mini-fridge and microwave in the room which is useful and a lot of storage space. The bathroom was a motel bathroom - nothing fancy, but I did like that the sink was outside the toilet/shower area so you can get ready while someone else showers. Beds were comfortable - but I did see some staining on the sheets. The A/C unit worked, but it never got to the temp on the display. It did stay cool at night though. The Balcony was nice and overlooked a creek. Overall, for the price, it is exactly what you would expect. A motel for sleeping near the National Park/Downtown. It is not fancy at all.

Checked in without a fridge in room. Let front desk know about issue. Was told it’s in the room. I told her it wasn’t I was told at 11 he will put one in room. I said that in the morning was fine. Morning came went to front desk to sign paperwork the printer wasn’t working when checking in. Ok so the guy said I’m sorry about fridge the weather etc so hot so it broke . Hmm ok . He asked something bout when can they put one in room I said well I’m going to be for for some hours so ya can now but it would be nice to have in room when I return. So it can cool to use you know. Well I returned no fridge. Hours later. I call front desk was told same story how they are fixing can’t give me any time when I will have one. On a 3 night stay so half stay no fridge. Issue bc I have stayed here many times and on our way in to hotel I stopped by Publix and grabbed a few things that needed to be in fridge. So wasted money on that. Anyways no compensation. I was told none would be given. He was honestly rude to me. But my problem is is if they were going to install it at 11 o’clock at night or midnight even because the guy wasn’t getting there till 11 at night then why couldn’t it be installed in the morning?
So I just said you know what I booked through a third-party. I’m gonna go ahead and call them now. Where they gave me like a 13% credit of my stay there so it wasn’t very much but as soon as I called them, why were they knocking on the door with the fridge that was warm. Won’t stay again

When we were getting ready for our first night we noticed the room wasn’t properly cleaned. There was food on the floor and the chair in the room has a big white stain on it. The sliding door from the bathroom did not close properly which made it difficult to shower comfortably. The showete faucet kept dripping and water was spilling out of the shower. We were very dissapointed with the room conditions, since we had high expectations from the reviews we had read online. We would not consider staying here again.

The rooms were cleaned and we'll maintained. We had a standard room the first night and a suite for the following 2 nights. Both are good but I highly recommend the suite if available! All room have a beautiful view of the river. The location is excellent with close proximity to the National Forest, restaurants, and walking distance to Ober Mountain.

The room was cheap and clean but the mildew smell was overwhelming. I just wanted to get out of that room right away. It didn't seem healthy to breathe in all night. I told the front desk staff and they said that they try to clean the air conditioners every spring but the smell just comes back because of the river right by it.

After spending hours on the road and ready to check-in we were ignored by the staff for several minutes while training was happening. No \"hello\", no \"so sorry\", nothing. Like we were the issue. I should have known then that this property was going to be a disappointment. Looked like urine in the corner of the walkway right outside the elevator. The room was not clean, with stains on furniture. The wardrobe was broken. The door to the room was so hard to open you had to shoulder it. Worst place we have stayed in a long time. Very disappointed. Do not recommend!

Though the room itself was nice, the exterior could use updating. Door into room was peeling, and it took some time to empty the trash just outside the room.

I'll start with the positive. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure and hot water in the shower were good. Now the rest. The staff was not helpful. The shower design made it so the water spills out from the curtain and the floor gets all wet. The toilet flush button made it very hard to flush. There was no cover on the sink drain and I found a roach in the toilet (I mentioned this to a staff member but nothing was done to accommodate us). The A/C made room very humid. And the breakfast is not replenished by 9:15 AM (or earlier). We would not stay here again.

Sure stay is located right next to the GSMNP entrance providing easy access to the park and its attractions. It’s also located near all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Gatlinburg which are within easy walking distance. Free parking is included so there’s no extra cost for parking. The room was clean and comfortable and well maintained. It was also reasonably priced.

The hotel was a very convenient stop for us! It wasn’t a whole lot to look at on the outside, but inside the rooms were very well maintained, and we had a view overlooking the river. Parking was very easy. The only drawback in the room was that we couldn’t use the balcony too much because the people below us were smoking, and it was not very pleasant. But the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, carpet. A few things seemed a little bit dated and worn, but not to a degree that impeded our trip.

The hot breakfast was very appreciated, and the assortment of foods was good. The staff kept everything full, including condiment, napkins, plate, etc.

The night shift check in girl was pleasant that's about it for this property. The images of this place are false advertisement. Dirty and run down every inch. Parking too tight and people roaming around all night, felt unsafe and try to make the room as secure as possible. Elevator appears and acts to be on its last leg. I feel Expedia should refund us for this stay. Waste of money

I'm honestly appalled by the filthiness of the room and the treatment of manager Devon when I asked for a refund. I found two long hairs, a pubic hair, and crumbs in the sheets. The bedding had stains. The sitting chair was covered in stains. We didn't stay there.
When I called she was nasty with me. She told me \"'II tell you what I usually tell people. If you're gonna be that picky, then maybe you shouldn't choose a moderate to lower price hotel. It was like one hair and a couple crumbs. He could have easily just changed the sheets and he said you weren't havin none of that.\" (I was extremely kind but just firm in not wanting to stay there.)
I said I didn't trust the cleanliness level, and that it's reasonable not to want to find pubic hair and dirty sheets and it's disgusting.
She said \"you're throwing around words like nasty and disgusting, and that's why I'm not gonna\" (give me the refund.)
I asked for the owners number and she laughed and said, \"you're not getting that.\" I am honestly just shocked. Beware.

The carpet of our room was wet when we arrived. The pull out sofa bed had literal (what I'm assuming were) blood stains on it. We had to purchase a blow up mattress for some of our kids to sleep on because there's no way I was letting them sleep on a stained and dirty sofa bed. One of the dressers had the front cover broken off, exposing several screw points. We also asked for extra sheets and a blanket for the kids to use on the blow up mattress. We received the sheets and were told the blanket would be delivered and it never came. Overall not terrible but the sofa bed was absolutely disgusting and I cannot get over the state of it.

The room was great for the price, but in the same regard, you get what you pay for. Check in is at 3:00. We got there at 3:30 and were told our room wasn’t ready because they had an issue with elevators so they couldn’t clean rooms as fast as normal. This is fine but there was no mention of this possibility when they messaged me to see if they could process my credit card. We’d have taken our time instead of showing up only to be told it “may” be an hour more and to not rush back. There is no real way to be quiet about going in and out the door to the balcony. It felt like the walls and door were paper thin as you could hear the comings and goings of all on your floor and the surrounding outdoors. The staff was kind but the property needs to be updated.

The room type that was advertised that I thought I paid for was not what I got. The picture that I saw of what I ordered involved also having a couch, which I was told did not come to the room and that the advertisement on hotels was incorrect. The breakfast was fair but did not change from day one to day two. It's a bathroom this look like they have been remodeled within the last ten years. Put all the interior and exterior walls seem like they could use a paint job. There was only one elevator. On the day we checked out, the elevator was not working, so we had to climb up and down multiple flights of stairs to get to the upper level of the hotel to bring our baggage down. It had to be a hundred degrees in that stairway, because it is not air conditioned.The bed was far. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The only positive that we experienced was the balcony with the sound of the river.

The room we had was so clean and spacious and we loved being right on the river. We walked to mostly everything downtown. We would rise the free trolleys too because they stopped near the hotel. Super convenient location. The pool was very small compared to the pictures shown and the water was very cloudy we did not even swim even though the kids were begging to. We loved everything else about the room though. Also it was so peaceful and quiet. We did not hear any outside noise in our room.

We booked a suite for our trip. 4 kids 2 adults. The room was great and accommodating. The kids wore themselves out cooling down in the pool for a night swim. The location was great. Not too far from anything. We enjoyed sitting out in the patio listening to the river. The staff were very accommodating and friendly when we needed something. We did see 1 bear in the parking lot but he left shortly after and we just watching him prowl around from the safety of the top floor.

Older property, but not as bad as some of the reviews we read. Kareem, front desk, was so helpful and fun with his quiet personality. Housekeeping staff, always stoppped by when they were on our floor to check to see if we needed anything. Being on the balcony with a cup of coffee, listening to the creek was so relaxing. Not a 5 star hotel, but we will definitely return

It's a remodeled older lodge with a great balcony view of the river. Comfortable beds with an open small closet and desk. It has one elevator with an outdoor entrance to the rooms. Breakfast is okay, don't eat the bacon, it's the worst! On the second day they shorted us by providing one hand towel for three people and no hair conditioner. They were very tiny shampoo bottles, I may add. Close to the Smoky Mountains National Park. Quiet. Walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg. There is no free public parking in the Downtown area. Outdoor pool was not ready for use when we were there. Building has seven floors.

HOTEL PROPERTY - The hotel is an older property with a rough looking exterior. Rooms are accessed by outdoor hallways. Rooms have been recently updated with new flooring, furniture and updated bathrooms. The best 2 attributes of the hotel are that every room has a balcony overlooking a charming creek and its close proximity to the main strip in Gatlinburg.

BREAKFAST - Had more options available (including eggs & bacon) than most budget properties but arrive early to eat because foods items don't appear to be refreshed once they are initially put out for the day. The pancake maker had an \"out of order\" sign on it for the 1st & 3rd days of our 3 day stay (was it really not working?)

CLEANLINESS & MAINTENANCE - Room 206 that we were checked into had a stopped-up sink with debris floating in the sink (how did Housekeeping miss this???) so we were switched to room 205. This room was not much better - it had large paint spots on the hardwood floor near the sink that made the floor look filthy, the light above the sink area flickered for 5 minutes before completely turning on and we killed at least 4 small bugs on the walls of the room (figuratively and literally a very creepy situation!)

BOTTOM LINE - We don't have a problem staying in a older property if it is properly cleaned and maintained. But this one was not and it appears an intervention is needed by hotel ownership / senior management to ensure local management has the will to properly clean and maintain the hotel.

Our room was 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. Very very spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the creek but on that balcony was also 2 air conditioners so unless we turned them off we couldn’t hear the running creek. Spiderwebs covered the balcony rails and chairs. The breakfast was good. The pool was not opened yet.
I booked it for the spacious room. If you want a large room this would be for you. It was clean just outdated. It just needed some upgrades to the property.
All in all I would recommend this hotel if you wanted a large room. It was separate rooms just no doors .
The location of the hotel was right at the end of the parkway. It was close to several great restaurants and a moderate walk to downtown. We especially liked the Park Grill.

Somehow our toilet wasn't well cleaned; the carpet wasn't vacuumed well in spots. There were some crumbs on the pullout chair too.The pancake maker was a novel thing to us--cool.

We came to town for a quick 3 night trip. The room was really great! It had everything we expected and was clean and comfortable. The only 2 things negative I can say about the room itself was the outlets have nightlights in them...very bright nightlights that are aimed right at the bed and, our room was not connected to another room however, our balcony was, sadly. Once the other room checked in we did not really get to use the balcony. My husband walked out there once and the \"neighbor\" quickly hid was we assumed to be weed. It reeked out there. After that we just didnt even try 😟
Breakfast selection was good and the staff were friendly.
It would be nice to see coffee in the lobby for guests and chairs along the creek like the neighboring property has. Just a suggestion.
Overall, we would stay here again and no real complaints.
