Meh wouldn’t book again. Nothing special about the property. Run down accommodations. Booked the suite for the fireplace and jetted tub. Fireplace didn’t work and the jetted tub left filth in the water after use. Shower stall was extremely tiny almost unusable. Office doesn’t open til 8 so don’t expect an earlier morning coffee to be available let alone the pathetic “grab n go” breakfast options.

Our stay was not the best.. we made our reservations through a 3rd party and the room didn't look like the room we booked online (we thought we were supposed to have a kitchen area). When we asked they said the pictures online were for all different types of room, not to the specific room specified.

The 2nd night we were there we had a huge cockroach in our bathroom. They moved us to another room and when we got out of the car there was a dead roach outside the door in front of our new room. When we moved the beds in the new room (to check for roaches) there was trash and pills on the floor under. The only thing they would do for us is give me a $20 credit for having to switch rooms.

The AC leaks on the balcony's and there was mold on most of them from the huge puddles on them.

They offer breakfast but it wasn't much.

On a positive note.. the pool & pool area was decent. Most the staff were friendly. The beds were comfy.

The room was clean. The overall facility was dirty and very poorly maintained, in the seating areas, the cushion ms were filthy, luggage carts everywhere, windows at the lobby were dirty and the carpet where breakfast was offered was gross. Breakfast wasn’t that, but just snacks that I didn't even want to touch after seeing how dirty was the place. Old and clean is perfectly fine, but old and filthy and poorly maintained are s not okay. Not coming back ever. Room was very dark as well.

The River Edge Inn is a nice stay whether you are staying for a night or a few. The rooms are roomy with plenty of towels and pillows. We booked a room with a private balcony, only to find that all rooms come with a private balcony, so there nothing special there. The pool was nicely maintained and clean. There was an excess of building materials accompanied with the signs around saying “pardon our mess, we’re renovating”. Overall the stay was nice. We stayed for 3 nights, the room service was nice day to day when it came to asking for additional towels and such. Would recommend if staying for a couple nights, any more I would say you could stay somewhere else.

The room was fine for the most part for an older property. Air conditioning was really loud but made for good white noise sleeping. Beds were comfortable. Front staff was kind and engaging. The property itself was not clean or well kept. There was a vacuum cleaner sitting outside in the breezeway by the elevator the entire time we stayed there. Never moved. The flooring in the elevator was really bad. There was pee in the elevator that assume was from a pet and it was still there spread around when we left the next day, mid morning. When we came in for the evening all the dirty linens were piled and left by housekeeping on the sidewalk outside what I assume was the laundry room for the night. Just not what was anticipated by what was advertised.

I would NOT consider this establishment pet friendly.
Check in was prompt and the front desk employees were very kind. We checked out 3 hours later. Spent a total of 25 min in the room. Our room was clean. I believe the housekeeping service providers did a great job. Our issue however was there is no place on their property to take your dog to relieve themselves. Every area except a hill is full of rocks. You have to walk in & through high traffic areas to get to a place behind the hotel next door and next to a parking garage to take your dog. We had our 2 doodles with us & there was no way we were going to risk having to venture out after dark that distance, especially when paying a pet fee, which evidently is to provide extra cleaning, not any kind of provision for pets. I wasn’t expecting a dog park, but expecting a place that advertises as “pet friendly”, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that there would be a place on site (not through 2 parking lots , or across the street & down the road) to be able to take your dog to relieve themselves.
I called to ask for a refund, which was denied (not even a good gesture to refund the pet fee, which I could have lived with), I was told by the manager… she did not agree that it was inconvenient, there are plenty of places to take your dogs, and sorry it was inconvenient for us but no charges will be refunded. This is just a bad business practice. No attempt to make it right. I can’t imagine running my business like that.

We had some hiccups that they tried to immediately address when I reported them on Hotels.com, unfortunately the fix wasn’t much better than the problem, but they did try! Instead of the toilet, not being able to flush it made swirling swishing noises every 30 seconds throughout the night, but they did try and they didn’t get approval to go into room till right before five and I assume the maintenance man left at five other than that it is a very nice hotel I guess when I said the toilet wasn’t flushing properly I should have went back down and let them know once again. I do believe it’s a good place to stay. I just don’t think things necessarily fell into place like I hope they would but everyone there was very nice and I do think they’re trying if I was in the area again I would give them another chance.

Once we got to our room, that’s when the fun started. One of the beds had stains on the sheets and blanket, had to call housekeeping to change the bedding, they were quick. Then the tv was broken. Called the front desk and the guy had to bring us a new tv. He did set it up quickly. The floor was dirty. There was some paper and wrappers next to the garbage can by the bathroom, dirt and dust bunnies on the side by the window. The bathroom door didn’t lock. The outlet by the beds did not work. Plus one of the bath towels were dirty, had to use our own towels we brought. Honestly wish I could get a refund. Will not return and glad we only had to stay one night.
